Our location is ideal for those who enjoy a quiet neighborhood, close proximity to beach access, local parks and restaurants within easy walking distance. Our property is just available during the peak spring/summer months of April through August. If you are looking to get out of the heat from the valley or are on a short contract as a traveling nurse, this may be the place for you!
The space
Welcome to Casa de Beagle by the sea! This is a monthly rental only. We live in Alaska half the year thus are renting the space during our absence. Our rental includes the lower floor ( 2 bedroom/ 1 bath/living room/kitchenette/ laundry/ private backyard & 3rd floor roof top deck).
The kitchenette is located within the living room area except for the sink, which is located outside in the outdoor kitchen area.
The kitchenette offers an induction cooktop, microwave, toaster oven, coffee pot, pots, pans, utensils & dishes.
PLEASE REFER TO PICTURES TO SEE KITCHENETTE. IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR A GOURMET KITCHEN, THIS IS NOT THE SPACE FOR YOU.
We have a very nice inside kitchenette that offers space to make basic meals. As this is not a traditional kitchen, we encourage our guests to utilize the outdoor space during our fabulous weather and use the grill or move the induction cooktop outside for more fragrant and potentially messy cooking. This is also where the sink is located for easy cleanup.
This is a fully furnished space and comes with extra linens and bedding sets. You also have access to a laundry room off the foyer. Each bedroom is spacious and has storage space in the closets.
Those looking for a relaxing space and quiet neighborhood will truly enjoy this space. We have a strict no party/event policy and unit is solely for the use of the guests listed on the reservation. Sub leasing is strictly prohibited. In addition, offering space to others if you are absent is not allowed.

The space
Looking for a peaceful, private spot to unwind and discover the beauty of the Central Coast? Come and relax in our quiet and quaint cottage. Ideally located steps, (220) from a private small beach to dip your toes in the ocean in Shell Beach. Surrounded by fruit trees, this private guest cottage is tastefully decorated in a cottage style with a touch of vintage. The cottage accommodates 2 adult guests, with 1 queen bed (mattress is medium to firm). Beautiful bed linens, percale sheets, and 2 pillows for each guest. One is a down and the other is down alternative. Comforter is down but can be exchanged for down alternative at your request. The bathroom includes a shower tub combo. Fresh linens, blankets, pillows, towels, 2 beach chairs, beach towels are provided by the host. The kitchen is equipped with a refrigerator, microwave, gas range, toaster and Nespresso coffee machine, whole coffee beans, coffee grinder also available for a pour over coffee. There are basic items stored in the home for our guests use such as silverware, dishes, salt/pepper shakers, dish towels, pots and pans, glasses. The home has a flat-screen TV. Wi-Fi is provided. The wall heater has a thermostat. There is one camera located on main house pointed at stairs leading to cottage. It is activated by motion. It also records sound.
Check-in is on or after 3PM to 9PM and check out is 11 AM. There is Absolutely NO SMOKING of any kind in the apartment or on the Premises. NO Pets. Please refer to house rules before booking.
THINGS TO DO IN THE AREA:
Shell Beach has wonderful restaurants and cafes, a brewhouse, and an awesome deli with gourmet foods and impressive selection of wines all in walking distance..
Shell Beach/Pismo Beach offers a transit system as well as a local trolley to places such as downtown Pismo Beach, Avila Beach and Factory Outlets.
Spend the afternoon wine tasting at some of the best wineries on the Central Coast. Enjoy seafood, fresh-caught from local waters the same day.
Avila Barn has delicious fresh, local produce, farm animals you can feed, and delicious bakery goods. They have the best homemade pies! My favorite is triple berry with a french topping.
During the summer, The Central Coast is blessed to enjoy the migration of Humpback Whales.
Monarch butterflies congregate at Pismo Beach Monarch Butterfly Grove and are most plentiful from October to February. The Monarch Grove is located just south of our beach house and can be accessed from Hwy 1.
There is so much to do on the Central Coast! Surfing, kayaking, biking, hiking! Piers, parks, and plays! Shopping, restaurants, wine tasting, beaches, lighthouses, dinosaur caves, historical sites, and opportunities to observe various sea life.
In addition to the beach and wine tasting, other fun activities in the area include:'
- Cruising the nearby college town of San Luis Obispo, recently named the "Happiest City" in the U.S! (quaint downtown is 15 minutes away)
- Spending time in nature on one of the great nearby hiking trails, and did we already say, the beach?
- Dining at any one of the top-notch restaurants located throughout the county.
- Renting a horse or a bike for the day, or bring your own bike and enjoy the various routes around the county.
- In addition to wine tasting in Edna Valley, head up the hill to world-famous Paso Robles for even more award-winning wine.
- Go antiquing in downtown Arroyo Grande, about 5 minutes away.
- Kick back and read a good book.

You will have a private entrance to your cottage with a small area out front to sit and sip your cup of coffee or enjoy a glass of wine and smell the blossoms of the citrus trees.

Due to the coronavirus, we’re taking extra care to disinfect frequently touched surfaces between reservations. Mattress pad, duvet, quilt, sheets, pillow cases, and pillow protectors are changed after each guest.
Private newly upgraded full time vacation beach cottage . Full kitchen w granite & stainless steel appliances. Beautiful tiled glass enclosed shower, queen size bed, two televisions with DirectTV. Expansive decking in private backyard. Outdoor private gas BBQ with ample seating and space to move around. Walking distance to all the best of Pismo. Parking is on the street, anywhere around the cottage. The city allows overnight street parking. Once you park you can pretty much walk everywhere.

Location!!! Walking distance to the beach and restaurants. The back deck is also amazing, rare to have such a large amount of private space with full size BBQ. This is a full time vacation rental, not a home I live in. It's always ready for renters and kept in great condition! It's located behind the primary home that I also own.
The back cottage is super cute, private and full of charm! No pets please.

Beach lovers paradise 1 block to the beach in desirable village of Shell Beach. This is our back guesthouse on a quiet, picturesque street with peekaboo view of Pacific Ocean. 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom; full kitchen, laundry & parking, it makes a great extended stay. Walk to the beach, shops and dozens of restaurants. Surf uncrowded waves, kayak hidden sea caves, stroll the Pismo Pier, shop local stores and hike oak tree studded trails all within 2 miles. Enter the guesthouse through backyard.
The space
This is a sunny and bright guesthouse at the back of our property which sleeps 4. Downstairs you will find master bedroom with queen bed, dresser and closet which adjoin a beautiful bathroom with double sinks and rain head shower. Upstairs, unwind in the living area with leather sofa, reading/coffee nook, AC and peekaboo ocean and palm tree views. There is a full kitchen with oven, fridge, microwave, coffeemaker. Bedroom 2 features two twin beds, dresser and coat rack (no closet). Twins can be arranged as a king bed with advance notice. NOTE: this is a 1 bathroom home, so occupants in Bedroom 2 walk downstairs to use the Master Bath. A small balcony with chairs and BBQ is available for rear guests. A stackable laundry unit is located in the hallway.
