This cottage is very comfortable and cute. It is rustic but we have AC and heat for every season. The outside has a lovely courtyard with fire pit and string lights. This cottage is very centrally located with Los Olivos just a mile up the road and Solvang 3 miles down the road. There are many wineries in every direction walking distance and a bike ride away. It sleeps two comfortably in our queen size bed. Please let us know the duration of time in which she would like to stay.

This is a rustic historical comfortable cottage. We have AC and heat to keep you comfortable in any season. This cottage has one bedroom with a queen size bed that sleeps two people, one bathroom with a shower, and one living room with a sofa and small dining table, kitchenette and accent chairs. The courtyard includes three outdoor dining areas, a firepit, fountains , string, lighting, and barbecue. There is also ample parking out in front of the Cottages .

I do allow dogs but ask for a small pet fee. It’s is $10/ dog as my cleaning team needs to do a deeper cleaning for the next guest after your departure. There are several payment options listed in the cottage and the fee can be paid when you arrive.

It’s perfect for a couple and features a queen medium-firm Lucid memory foam mattress with 250 thread count cotton sheets and comforter and comfortable pillows of varying styles. The kitchenette provides a perfect spot to make coffee in the morning, or prepare a charcuterie board in the evening. An ample sized retro-style fridge with freezer and microwave compliment the Chartreuse Marmoleum (eco-friendly vintage style) floors, Marble countertops and coordinating gold fixtures. The newly remodeled bathroom has a brand new large walk-in shower and a small commode cubby. A cedar-lined closet is the perfect spot to hang your clothes and stash your personal items. If you’re staying in for the night, a smart TV is provided for streaming (Netflix included) using our high speed Wifi. You can comfortably take a meal indoors at the bar table for two. Brand new heating and air will keep you comfortable any time of year.
If you prefer hanging outside, you can keep to yourselves and enjoy your private patio space with outdoor table and chairs, or take advantage of the communal yard space. Here you’ll find plenty of seating, native and drought tolerant planting, and a few hammock chairs for relaxing.

The entire property is shared with other vacation rental units (a house on the front side, and four cottages on the back side, including yours). Your cottage has its own fenced patio space (open on one side), and there is a common yard that you and other guests are welcome to use. There is a walkway that leads to the front of the property and gives you access to Alisal Road or you may exit the property on 1st St. as well.
Parking is free and easy, within feet of your cottage. The surface of the parking area is made of decomposed granite, which is a firm and even surface, making it easy to roll suitcases. However, during rain events, the surface may be less firm.
Other things to note
It’s important to us that you are well-informed about the cottage before booking. Below are a few important things to note about the Midori Room and Roaming Gnome Property:
-The studio space is roughly 170 square feet, about the size of a small hotel room.
-We have a strict 2-guest maximum policy for this unit, due to its size. It will not be a good fit for folks traveling with an infant or child, or two people who aren’t comfortable with close quarters.
-Parts of the yard and parking area are still under restoration, and so you may notice piles of dirt, empty planters, and fences under completion. We don’t believe this will impact the quality of your stay, and we will not be doing any loud projects, but we think it’s worth mentioning.

The house interior is 950 sq. ft. with high ceilings that enhance the spacious feeling of the house. The wood floors in the common areas and carpet in the two bedrooms create a warm, inviting atmosphere.
Amenities include high quality pressed sheets and thick cotton towels. Attention to detail includes reading lights in the bedrooms and a bathroom heater that makes for comfortable mornings.
We provide a Keurig machine with dark roasted coffee pods, creamer, and snacks as well as a variety of teas for your morning pleasure. We stock the refrigerator with plenty of bottled water as well as filtered water at the kitchen sink.
There is a full kitchen with center island, full sized refrigerator, range, microwave. Complete line of cooking pots and other essentials as well as an outdoor grill.
Guests are free to walk about the 1 1/2 acre property. The house is not safe for people with disabilities and there are 15 steps to gain entry from the car park area.

The setting of this property is on 1 1/2 acres in a oak forest with a seasonal creek that runs through it. Neighbors are separated on similar parcels so there is privacy when outside, dining on the patio or drinking your morning cup of coffee.
Ideal for biking and walking from here. Town with public bus access is 10 minute walk. Airbus and Amtrack bus drop off is also 10 minute walk away.The Santa Ynez Airport serves private pilots and a charter flight business. It is 2 1/2 miles away.

Wine Country living at its best! We enjoy our wine country life and would like to share it with you. Our two-bedroom, two-bath cottage has our CCOF certified organic Syrah vines as a backyard and its own private bocce ball court. Enjoy the setting of our vineyard right out the french doors or from the upstairs deck. A short stroll or ride on our complimentary bikes will take you to the heart of the historic charming town of Los Olivos.

A romantic getaway or a fun place for two couples, or girlfriend get-togethers looking for a special place to stay while visiting Santa Barbara Wine Country. You will be welcomed upon arrival with a bottle of our estate wine and a complimentary cheese plate from our restaurant. Our hope is that guests feel the relaxation of being on vacation the moment they arrive.

The Winery Retreat is separate from our main house and shares the same structure as our winery, hence the name, Winery Retreat. This retreat has its own bocce ball court, yard, and patio, directly in front of our vineyard.

We value tranquil wine country living, along with our neighbors. We ask that guests adhere to an appropriate code of conduct conducive to quiet country life. No guests, outside the guests staying at the retreat, are permitted on the property unless specific authorization has been provided. Though our property is ten acres, sound travels. We ask guests to adhere keep the noise level down after 9:00. If we get any complaints from neighbors a warning will be issued, and then immediate eviction (this has never happened in our 10+ years of having vacation rentals on our property, but we put it out there to weed out anyone looking for a place to have loud parties into the night).

Featuring an cozy fireplace, sitting area, a Queen bed, and highlights one-of–a-kind antique furniture throughout. No two rooms are exactly the same, but all have the same amount of charm and comfort!

We offer a daily happy hour of wine, cheese, and charcuterie from 4-5pm
PET POLICY:
Our registered guests are permitted to bring (2) dogs during their stay in our downstairs guest rooms only. A $50 charge per dog, per night will be applied to the card on file, as will an extra cleaning fee if necessary. Pets are not allowed to be left alone in the guest room, and a fine of $250 will be applied to the bill if a pet is discovered left alone in the room.
