- "We were thrilled to find a dog friendly property so close to Benedictine College to move in our two kids…the pictures and description sounded perfect, but the place was even better than we hoped! We highly recommend this property! We would love to stay again when we visit our kids. The interior is completely modernized, comfortable, and well-appointed! The master shower was a luxurious mini spa experience with both a “rain” element and hand-held option with the best water pressure I’ve ever had at a rental! Having raved about the shower, though, a hand rail or bench may be useful for any older guests. We did cook, and the kitchen was wonderful! We loved the beautiful granite island and all new appliances. I don’t believe anything was lacking except perhaps a serrated knife and actual glassware (the plastic cups were fine, but we do prefer a glass for wine!). Anything else you needed such as food wrap, foil, paper towels, etc. was available. There are no dressers, only closets, so either more luggage racks or hangers in the closets could be considered, otherwise, the bedrooms were very comfortable. There were plenty of towels. We really loved the Amelia Earhart “Flight of Adventure” theme…so well-done with interesting aviation touches everywhere! The neighborhood was perfect for walking our dog, with a nice park nearby. The only reason for 4 stars for check in was the intro email did not have the door code, but the owner texted us immediately. Overall, a really lovely rental!"

- "My partner and I planned a weekend at Weston. The bookings there were filled, and we moved a bit out. This site was only 20 minutes from Weston and Weston State Park. It was easy to find and only a bit off the main highway. On the way to a drugstore, we were diverted because of the Veterans' Day parade. My partner is a vet so we stopped only to find out it is the oldest Veterans' Day parade west of the Mississippi. After we stopped to get something to eat at a local bar, only to be invited to join a group of local vets. If you are open to new experiences, you can have a good time just about anywhere. The property was clean and comfortable. It is close to Fort Leavenworth and in the oldest part of town but cute and worthy of a stay. If we return to that area, this property is on our list."

We have taken care to let you know that the floor are NOT PERFECT. No the house is not falling down, and yes the foundation was fixed however this old house had to have some big time fixes :). - "Originally, this stay was for 2 couples staying the Memorial Day weekend in Atchison. The photos online are very good, almost to the point where I was thinking there is no way the house is going to look this good when we get there. Spoiler alert, it looks better. The check in process was a breeze with the code provided in a way that was super easy to remember and use. Possibly the easiest check in process I have ever had. The stairs to get up to the house are pretty steep so maybe a watch out if you are elderly or struggle to get up steps but they were new steps and very sturdy. This led to a nice front porch that looked out across the neighborhood. The bedrooms are spaced away from each other for privacy. The bed we slept in was super comfortable. All along the walls are maps of the city with ideas of what to do. There was a document by the tv in the living room that had menus for many of the local restaurants which was super helpful. We also got recommendations from the host and made sure we checked them all out. The kitchen had everything we needed including a Keurig which my spouse took advantage of. We did not use it but there was grill out back and plenty of spices in the Kitchen. On a return trip to Atchison, I would love to use this space again and have a cookout. The backyard is fenced in for privacy and has a pretty nice deck that has a tent over it. All told, this was super reasonably priced and a fantastic experience. Highly Recommend. "

Only a block away from Carousel Museum, Community Center with very reasonable rates for pool and fitness, and a movie theatre. Two blocks away is the river with walking paths. 2 min drive to Ft. Leavenworth. There is a non-pullout couch for a third person, if needed.

The building is from 1860 with original rafters, brick walls, and high ceilings. The pictures do not do it justice. There is a stairwell to the apartments (four upstairs) which is private. The loft is about 550 square feet. Two large windows in the bedroom.

Second floor loft has a secure entry from street access with semi-private (shared with 3 other apartments) stairway to the Loft front door. Street parking with easy access in front of building. On rare occasions it is busy, there is a free parking lot across the street.

Our guests have full access to their own duplex. The only shared room is the laundry room which is located on the opposite duplex which is my home. Otherwise all areas of the home are private, including entrance/exit.

This is a remodeled bungalow circa 1904 located on historic Broadway Street in Leavenworth (the first city in Kansas). This house is only minutes from the front gate of Fort Leavenworth and very convenient to the rest of the town. Historic Weston is close by and Lawrence only an hour. Easy access to KCI airport, downtown, Legends, or Zona Rosa.

The space
The bungalow is cozy and retains the charm of an older house. But we stripped it to the studs and rebuilt. New windows, insulation, plumbing, central HVAC, complete high end kitchen remodel and exterior siding and landscaping. The hardwoods are original and we decorated with an eclectic combination of old and new.

My Guests have access to the entire house. I offer off-street parking behind the house! A well lit-signed- rocked 2-car parking space is provided! Guests take the lighted rocked path through the beautiful back yard to the back deck with french doors having keyless entry.

Additional parking is also available in my 2nd rocked driveway leading up to the 2 car garage doors!

I have two security lights on both sides of the garage and lights all around the guest parking areas as well as lights along the rocked pathway through my backyard! string lights around the entire fenced yard add to the ambience of your evening at the Belle!

Other things to note
The outside fence-porch lights-foyer lamps- are all on timers to go on at dusk until midnight! The Hurricane lamp in dining room goes on at midnight until dawn to serva as a cozy nightlight! (Feel free to turn off the indoor lamps if not needed or wanted during the evening)

I also provide full access for my guests to the thermostat to ensure your temperature needs are set to your comfort!

This cozy 1930s Bungalow in Leavenworth has all the charm of grandma’s house. We have been working to renovate this beautiful home and fill it with nostalgic antiques and comfortable furniture. There are two bedrooms with two Queen beds so the property sleeps 4 adults comfortably. There is also a couch in the living room that 'could' sleep one more adult.

The space
The house is completely furnished and has everything you would need to make basic meals. I also have coffee, tea and bottled water available.

There is a VERY SMALL television with an antenna available as well as WiFi.

Walking distance to downtown historic Atchison that includes dining, shopping, library and theater. Benedictine college is about a half mile- a 3 minute drive or a lovely 20 minute walk through the historic streets of Atchison.

The space
My cottage is located perfectly for your visit to Atchison. Around the corner from Amelia Earhart's historic home and museum. A half mile from Benedictine College and walking distance to downtown. A easy 45 minute drive from Kansas City International Airport (MCI) and just one hour to downtown Kansas CIty, KS/MO!

Inside, find my beautifully decorated cottage with crisp white walls, new beds, art deco art and found treasures and antiques.

At this time, our cottage is not appropriate for children under the age of 11 or for any person who has a challenge with stairs. You can request special consideration.

This is a great place to stay if you are visiting Benedictine College, Snow Creek, or one of Atchison’s music festivals!
