- "This was the first time we have stayed at a bed and breakfast in general so i didn’t quite know what all to expect! However, John runs this place beautifully!! When we arrived at the property no one was there but the sign on the door told us to give John a call! First he let us know about a last minute cancellation and that they had upgraded us from a suite to the beautiful Slumber Hill Cottage! Even though he was not there to show us around he was very thorough over the phone which was nice as it left me with no further questions! We were able to enjoy even a rainy evening outside because there was a covered porch deck! We even saw some deer passing by! The next morning John delivered breakfast straight to our door at exactly the time we requested ! Coffee, juice, bananas with cinnamon and a delicious quiche for each of us! Truly a treat! We travel to eureka springs quite frequently but i know next time hidden springs will be top of our list of places to stay!! Thank you again for a wonderful quick birthday trip for my husband! "

All beds are twin-size bunk beds. Upstairs, there is a women’s dorm with 6 bunk beds (12 people max) and a men’s dorm with 8 bunk beds (16 people max). Both dorms have bathrooms within. Downstairs, we offer an accessible/co-ed room with 2 bunk beds and one single bed (5 people max). Bathroom is not connected to the suite.

All guests have access to common areas, such as living room, kitchen, dining room, museum, and work area. We offer games, a Smart TV, tours, and bicycles for use.

The Firehouse Museum & Hostel is in a renovated 1917 Craftsman-style building that combines historical exploration with affordable accommodation! We are a smoke free home. Most people describe our home as peaceful, quiet and relaxing.
It is an older home that has an open living room, kitchen and dining area. There are two bedrooms we rent out to guests. My husband and I live in a small studio apartment down the hallway. There is a large patio in the back yard with several trees that give us plenty of shade.
We have a box terrier mix which stays with us and does not roam unattended throughout the house.

This room has a queen bed and full bath. It has a reading space as well as a table to work at.
The living room, kitchen and dining area is shared with us and other guests. You may also use the patio area with gas grill (if you plan on using the gas grill please let us know before your arrival).

Please make yourself at home in our living room. You have full use of the kitchen and dining area. There is space in the fridge for any food items you bring. The table is set for four guests and there is extra in the cabinets as well as cook ware.
Please let us know ahead of time if you will be cooking or using the grill.

During your stay
I am retired and at home most of the time and available for you but I try to stay out of the way most of the time. Our studio apartment is right down the hallway. If I’m not at home you can always get me by phone.
You may meet other guests in the hallway and shared areas of our home. It has been our experience that guests don’t see each other very often.

Other things to note
The thermostat for all bedrooms is located in our apartment. Please let us know if you need us to adjust the temperature.
Each bedroom has a ceiling fan, there are extra blankets in the closets. You can also adjust the air flow with the ceiling grates, and you are welcome to open the window.
