We visited by car (30 mins) the fantastic fish restaurants in the old town of Piran (Ivo restaurant the best). The Skiper resort has a great restaurant with great views and does a very good breakfast, the gym is very well equipped and the yoga sessions in the morning is a good way to get your day started. Plenty of shaded car parking under the apartments buildings. Large family swimming pool that has a cafe etc. there is a large area on the seaside with cafe and bar and sun beds with steps down to the water. Restaurants in the area are good and the Kempinski is a must visit for a meal or a night cap. There are Nice tennis courts and a large park. It is about 300 metres to the beautiful fully equipped golf club that also provides meals. There is an 18 hole golf course that is in very good condition and has a good degree of difficulty and challenging, we played twice with buggy and loved it even though it was hot. I highly recommend Skiper resort to families, groups, sports enthusiasts and couples alike. We will be back."

- "My wife and I are stationed in Germany. We wanted to go to a beach in Croatia. I did not feel like driving 14 hours to Split, so we decided to go to the Northern part of Croatia. We were very pleased with the 4 person bungalow. it was roomy and had a full kitchen, which was nice. The bungalows are old, but they were very clean. We had no problem with them. The resort is old, but it is still nice. There is a grocery store, a couple of places to eat, an activity area, and a bar. We thought all of these amenities were decent. The beach is a pebble beach. I have never been on a beach like this before, but with water shoes it was fine. The water is very nice and clear in the shallows. We bought snorkels and masks from the grocery store and had a fun time getting shells. An hour South is a town called Pula. It has the most intact of the six remaining Roman Colliseums left in the world. It is a must see. Pula also has some very nice restaurants and you can also choose from a variety of cruises. All in all, this was a very good resort."

With the local slow train you can also easily go to other bathing bays. Ground floor studio ideal for a couple or 2 grow-ups. Separate entrance, own bathroom, kitchen and a small terrace for outdoor dining. There is a big pool (18mx4,5m) where you can swim laps and exercise at no extra charge. For more activity we have a tennis court behind the house (8€/h). There is a fence around the property so if you come by motorcycle it will not be seen from the street if you park it in front of the apartment.

In one room you have everything you need: a kitchen, double-bed and a separate bathroom. The small apartment is ideal for a couple. However, the couch can be extended (extra person 10€/day).

Guest access
You can park just in front of the apartment behind the fence that is surrounding the property. This place is about 2km from various beaches with pebble stones (Stella Maris), sand (Punta) and wild rocks. Downtown Umag is also about 5 min away. Here you are far enough from the noise of a tourist town and close enough to get quickly anywhere you need to go.

Other things to note
A popular tavern (Konoba Murine) is in walking distance as well as a bakery kiosk. This place is a good hub when you take trips to visit the surroundings.

LOCATION:

The apartment building consists of 6 new appartments.
The building is situated in the suburb of Umag called Stella Maris. This is a primarily turistic part of Umag, and in summer it is crouded with people and there are lots of activities. If you like sports in Umag you can play tennis, golf, football, beach voley, baketball, or any of the water sports like surfing, kajak , waterskiing, or diving. At a nearby sand beach the water is unusually shallow and it allows you to try playing an original Croatian beach game called Picigin. The goal is to cast a ball in to the air and use any part of the body to keep it from falling back to the surface of the water for as long as possible. Nearby there is also a place where you can rent jestskys and motorboats. If you wish you can just relax on the beach all day long and play with your family and friends.

If you are a tennis fan every year in july an Atp tennis Turnament is held in Umag. In the recent years the Atp Umag Croatia open has been the host to numerous famous tennis stars like Rafael Nadal, Novak Đoković, Goran Ivanisevic, Carlos Moya and Thomas Muster.

The town center is about 1,5 km away, or 30 min walking along the sea coast. The path goes along the see and is closed for car traffic. It makes it perfect for bike riding, roller skating or jogging. If you do not wish to walk there is a tourist train stop near the house. The train will take you to the city center in 10 minutes.
