Large room with comfy king bed and spacious bathroom. The breakfast & daily 2hr evening free beer, wine, canapés are included in these type of leilani tower room rates and were a great extra. Our room was stocked with eating utensils, cups and plates. It was like being at home. The bathroom was beautiful. It has his and her sinks, a spa tub, and a stand-alone shower with a raindrop shower head. I particularly enjoyed the shower. The check-in process for the Lagoon Tower was very quick and easy, no waits. I read a lot about the insanity at the main check-in location and was so glad we booked through here instead. We paid for a garden unit and was placed in an un-renovated corner unit on the 12th floor. We were totally fine with that since we had plenty of space and still had partial ocean views through the balconies. We could see the marina and faced the Ilikai building next door. The kids loved the lagoon as well the pool with the slides. However, water was super cold relative to the ocean. We were well prepared for crowds and lines and did not experience anywhere near the amount of awfulness that people complained about online. We even saw parts of the luau throughout the week. As a party of six that consisted of me, my husband, my mother in law, and our three kids ages 10, 7, and 3, we had a great time with plenty of space in the unit. Also, laundry is FREE and available on every floor (not in the unit itself, which was no big deal)."

So we had to wash everything by hand and dry with the ONE kitchen towel provided. The convenience stores around didn't sell any additional dishwashing tablets (yes, I went to multiple). However, it was in the Hawaiian Village which worked with the other traveling parties we went to Hawaii with and we did like having the washer and dryer in the unit. They were VERY strict about check out time (to the point that the housekeeper was waiting outside our door 20 minutes BEFORE checkout time, waiting on us to leave so they could start cleaning it)."

- "Wonderful property and condo. Really friendly atmosphere and lots to do for all age ranges." - "Had a great time at the Grand Islander. This building is one of the newest properties and it shows. Apartments are modern, well stocked and comfortable. Beautiful ocean view terrace. Nice small amenities like sponges and individual laundry and dishwashing detergent, shampoo, soap and conditioner. 1cleaning per week so don’t expect daily but that was fine for us. Only complaint is that check in and check out are hectic. The elevator capacity and staff cannot handle the fact that seemingly everyone is checking in and out at the same time. The 10 am check out time doesn’t help matters. But overall a very convenient and comfortable stay."

Other things to note
I dont currently own a Parking stall as they are at an extreme premium but the hotel offers $40 per night rates. 24 hour valet service is great! But I recommend using Turo when you need a car or Hui which is on site and super convenient if you want to venture out of Waikiki (maybe North Shore trek). street parking is available as well but a little bit of a walk. I am available for assistance in this area.
