This 2 bedroom sleeps up to 6 in the valley above Diamond Head known as Kahala. Its the perfect balance of close to Waikiki and the highway but away from the hustle and bustle of things. Less than a $15 Uber/Lyft ride to Waikiki if you want to have a few Mai Tais with dinner or a night on the town.

On to the cottage which is tucked into the hillside and has private lanai with some peekaboo ocean views from the garden. Shade from the ridge behind the house keeps the patio and house cool from the early afternoon on. The gentle trade winds blow threw the house but there separate ACs for each bedroom and the living area.
Kitchen has everything you need and opens up to the bar area, dining room table and living room.

Master suite with king bed has its own access to the bathroom. Queen bedroom is just off the living room. The futon in the living room provides additional sleeping options and there is also a pack and play if you have any little ones.

The Cottage by the Bay is located in a quiet Hawaii Kai neighborhood. It is attached to the main house with its own private entrance steps from a quiet path leading to the Portlock seaside with beautiful views, sunsets and a small beach. The cottage sleeps 2 people with plenty of room to call home for a few days or weeks. It is a large studio cottage furnished with a queen size bed and a futon couch which converts into a double bed, a kitchenette equipped with a microwave, mini-refrigerator/freezer, Krupp's coffee maker, toaster, blender, hot water pot and necessary utensils and dishes. The private bathroom has a shower stall. Hair dryer, linens and beach and bath towels are provided. We were able to walk to Kona Brewing Co too! The cottage has lots of towels and beach towels, body boards, beach chairs, a/c, nice basket of snacks, mini fridge, mini microwave, kitchen sink. The main cottage boasts a small kitchenette, bar, and large covered lanai for lounging while enjoying the ocean/mountain peak views. If that’s not enough use the extended lanai for sunbathing or have a maitai in your own private Jacuzzi after a hard day's work at the beach while watching TV.

You are very lucky if you get to stay here. The ocean view is spectacular and way better than pictures can show. - "Beautiful birds on trees. The property manager Kila was very responsive. Two neighboring cottages. The wall separation with one of them is rather thin. We rented a car for part of the stay (recommended option). There is however a bus stop right outside, with schedules on the hour. Easy to call for help with maintenance. The property feels private, and it is shaded by a huge tree overhanging the yard. Nice clean Room for one individual in my cute, two-bedroom shared cottage. Located in Waikiki Kaimuki the room is walking distance to restaurants, shopping, Diamond Head and grocery stores. Room is cheerful, light, with a nice size closet and airy windows. The Kitchen, Bathroom and common areas are shared with one person. The place is very clean with fresh towels. Room comes with WiFi/internet, Boogie Board and Private parking.

Each cottage has a porch with seating and one has a barbeque grill. Tropical landscaping adds lush ambience.

Together, the two cottages sleep eight guests total. Both cottages have the same configuration, with a queen bed and flat-screen TV in the first bedroom, and two twins in the second bedroom. All beds feature lovely wrought-iron frames and hotel-quality linens, and each bedroom has an A/C unit. The bathrooms feature a tub/shower combination and subway tiles.

Around the corner from ono grindz Diamond Head Market, Pioneer Saloon, Bogarts, Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf, Fort Ruger Market (fresh poke), and KCC Farmers Market. Drive 5 minutes to hip Kaimuki or Kapuhulu Avenue for more amazing food options.

Feeling active? Hike up Diamond Head crater or do a run around the base for beautiful views and an invigorating workout. 5-minute drive to Kaimana Beach (our favorite!), Waikiki Beach, or Diamond Head Beach Park for surf and play.
