The cottage is a well-appointed, stand-alone unit with a private gate and entrance which provides an ideal retreat for touring the Sonoma and Napa wine country. Located in a garden setting 5 blocks from the Healdsburg Plaza in the central, historic district, it is adjacent to a 2-story, 1880's Victorian farmhouse in a friendly, pedestrian neighborhood. The cottage (600 sq. ft.) sleeps up to four people and offers an open, sunny living area with vaulted ceilings, a bedroom* and large bathroom with a shower facility. The window seat overlooks the cottage garden. (* Note that there is no door between the living room and the bedroom. These two areas are semi-private and separated by a short hallway.)

THIS COTTAGE IS A TRUE RETREAT. Our cottage has very reasonable rates for a house on the river with scenic views and a large spa. It is truly a different experience to be on the river. The large deck and dinning room have wonder views of the river and lots of natural light. Built in 1930 and updated over the year, keeping all the charm of a rustic vintage river cottage. There are high ceilings, wood floors, knotty pine in the living room, a stone fireplace with insert, granite counters, large double sink, gas stove, dishwasher, disposal, enclosed sun porch and large deck with wonderful river views. It is an old fashion river cabin that is pet and family friendly. It is not a modern high end home or fancy Healdsburg hotel. Just a fun place to enjoy the views, spa and river. The river flows behind the house just a few steps away. Take the path to the river in the summer time and enjoy our private gazebo set up for our guest to use with sun shade, table and chairs. A perfect place to hang out, relax and swim. A large 4 person hot tub is located under mature redwood trees, very private. The house is near the end of a quiet street with very little traffic. There is a one car garage plus 1 or 2 parking places in the driveway.

We have all the comforts of home, central forced air heating, high speed internet, Netflix's, smart TV in living room, second TV in the back bedroom, Comcast cable TV. There are ceiling fans in the living room and dinning rom and portable fans in the bedrooms but there is no air conditioning.

We set up a Gazebo/Sun Shade (summer only) across the river right on the river bank with table and chairs, provides lot of shade, we also have tubes for a river float, ice chest, beach umbrella and beach chairs for our guest to use (summer only) to take full advantage of all the river has to offer.

The easy beach access makes it a fun place for children to enjoy the river. Take a float or swim down the river, enjoy the scenery, you may even see a few turtles and herons.

Besides the river there are many other activities for guest to enjoy, the Healdsburg Town Square is 3 miles away which offers shopping, fine dinning, theaters, bakeries, live concerts and a farmers market. Dry Creek, Alexander Valley and Russian River wine regions are just a short drive from the property with world class wineries and tasting rooms.

The Villa Chanticleer, a wonderful facility for Weddings is less than a mile away on North Fitch Mt. Road. They also have a big dog park. Badger park has a play area for children.

The house will accommodate up to 4 adults or a couple with 2 children. Works out well with 2 couples as the bedrooms are separate from each other, one in the front and the other in the back of the house, allows for nice privacy. If you are planning a wedding, family gathering or just have a larger group and need more room, the owners can refer you to additional rental properties near by.

HOUSE AND SONOMA COUNTY RULES: The following information is required by the County: Only 2 cars allowed at the house and must be parked in the driveway or garage. There is no street parking allowed.

Maximum occupancy is 4, children under 3 are not included. Maximum number of day guests allowed over the 4 night time guest is 2 for a total of 6 people. Please be respectful of our neighbors, many of them are permeant residences. Quiet hours are from 9:00 p.m. to 8 a.m. No amplified sound of any kind is allowed, including speaker attached to your phone.

We are a pet friendly house (2 dog maximum). Dogs must comply with Sonoma Co. leash law.

The cottage has easy access to hiking trails behind the house, up Fitch mountain, and to the nearby dog park, at the Villa Chanticleer. There is an outside eating area, a deck, BBQ, and a fenced-in yard, excellent for pets and small children. Inside there is a washer and dryer, two flat screen tvs, and wifi availablity, gas fireplace, fenced-in yard. It is a relaxing place with few neighbors and many redwood trees. - "When we arrived at the Heron House we were greeted by a charming front garden that was so welcoming we could not wait to explore more of the property. It did not disappoint. The first impressions were of charming cottage feels. It had enough space to not feel like we were squished together but also not overly grand that the warm and comfort would be missed. We had dinner and wine on the back deck and then relaxed in the hot tub in the evenings. It was an excellent experience overall. The only thing is we weren’t able to locate a couple of the light switches that connect to the outside lights above the hot tub but we were able to improvise. This house is no fuss, it was clean, the view of the river was really nice and the neighborhood is extremely quiet at night. No the house is not modern but that is what is so charming about it! We would love to come back and stay at the Heron House in the future."

It also includes a dedicated workspace with a desk and chair.

Guest House: The Creekside Bungalow is a separate building with a private bedroom and en-suite bathroom, ideal for extra privacy. The bedroom has a Queen-sized bed.

Outdoor Living: The expansive deck has a pergola, comfortable seating, an outdoor dining table, and a grill. A treehouse nestled in the redwoods adds a whimsical touch.

Laundry Room: Separate building with stacked Samsung washer and dryer, ironing board, and iron.

Mill Creek: Enjoy the serene sounds and views of the creek flowing alongside the property. Stairs lead down to the creek from the backside of the property. Creek access will vary based on the season and the creek's water level. The creek bed is rocky and natural, so it may not be easy to navigate.

Parking: Ample gravel parking area for multiple vehicles.

Guest Access:
Guests have exclusive access to the entire property, including the main cottage, guest house, laundry room, parking area, and all outdoor areas, except for the tree house, which is off-limits for safety reasons. Enjoy the natural surroundings and relax in comfort.

The Heart of Healdsburg Cottage is a one acre property with an in ground pool, hot tub, hobby vineyard, and walking distance to downtown. Because it is close in, the road is busy, however the back yard space creates a nice buffer from the traffic. The outdoor seating area offers lounges at poolside and a beautiful picnic table under the fairy lights strung above in the walnut tree. A large deck and hot tub sits outside the French doors entering the kitchen and a beautiful glass fire pit just beyond the deck.

This lovely little cottage is really a unique and hard to find category for a few guests or 2 couples. Furnished smartly, and priced right, this cottage offers big amenities for the vacation home traveler.

As our guests walk into the front door (through a small gate) they enter the living room. This area has an oversize TV/DVD, armchair sofa, a sofa and a fold out chair. There is a wood burning fireplace, and dining area enough for 6 guests.

To the left of the living room area are two bedrooms, each with queen bed and comfortable mattresses and linens. Walking through the living room area our guests access the kitchen area with modern appliances and inside laundry area. Adjacent to the laundry area is the full bathroom.

The many wonderful amenities include walking/ bicycling to town (less than one mile and just a few minutes by car), in ground pool, outdoor seating, large hot tub, and one acre of property with vineyard, and Orsi Winery across the road (with a few other also amazing wineries a short walk away).

This beautiful cottage was newly remodeled a little over a year ago and is ready for you to create new memories!

Wonderful river getaway in a cabin on North Fitch Mountain Rd. Lots of trees, views of the Russian River, and easy river access. River chairs, shading, and accessories provided to practically guarantee a perfect day of rest and relaxation after exploring the downtown or one of the beautiful local wineries.

Built into the hillside, a cozy 2 bedroom one bath get away to rest and relax. Well stocked kitchen (condiments and spices to help you execute your meals) with a table that sits 6 easily. Living room opens to a river facing deck with outdoor dining and relaxation options.
Cabin is two levels built into the hillside. Lower level is is reserved for the owner's residence. Both levels have separate entrances and decks with views.

Hi there, I’m Cecilia, and I’m so happy to welcome you to our family’s vineyard and the Milkbarn Cottage. This special home sits right in the middle of our working vineyard in Forestville, in the heart of Sonoma County’s Russian River Valley.

The cottage was originally a milk barn built generations ago, and it still holds that timeless charm, weathered cinderblock walls, a tin roof, and original windows that have seen decades of country sunsets. We restored it by hand, blending the rustic with the comfortable, so it feels like coming home, even if it’s your first visit.

The Space

The Milkbarn Cottage is about 1,100 square feet and offers:

Life on the Vineyard

Our property is a working vineyard and small farm, so depending on the season, you might see vineyard maintenance, hear tractors in the distance, or catch glimpses of harvest. We also have friendly outdoor dogs, cats, and sometimes free-roaming chickens.

The property is open to nature, which means it’s not unusual to see and hear coyotes, or even the occasional snake passing through the vineyard. We do our best to keep things tidy and comfortable, but the original barn windows sometimes let in small visitors like spiders or bugs. We like to think of them as part of the authentic country experience!

You’re invited to enjoy our wines during your stay (available for purchase), wander the vineyard paths, or simply sit with a glass and watch the fog roll over the valley.

Our property is in a safe and quiet residential area. The house is easily accessible, with no stairs and one small step in front of the house and to the garage.

Three bedrooms all feature luxuriously soft linens, ample closets and storage for your stay. The bathroom has a deep soaking tub and double sink vanity. A washer/dryer is available in the garage, which also has the Peloton bike available for guests to use.

The kitchen is great for those who love to cook with Viking appliances, cooking amenities and spices. A Fellow Electric Kettle, Chemex and Nespresso should cover your coffee and tea needs.

For remote work there are multiple workspace options inside with a desk that can be moved to your preferred working location. You can also work outside as the high speed WIFI extends to the outdoor dining area. When you’re not working the fenced in and private backyard also has a firepit, BBQ grill and lounge area for relaxation.

We hope you enjoy the garden and property not just to view, but to eat! We encourage guests to pick from the garden (we have sage, basil, mint and rosemary for herbs as well as squash, zucchini, tomatoes and strawberries). We also have fruit trees that are young but already producing - peaches, meyer lemons, plums, figs and even artichokes. Take your pick!

- "We absolutely loved our stay at Harold House! The house is recently renovated, beautifully decorated and well stocked with kitchen equipment and everything else you need for a great stay. There is a huge backyard with plenty of furniture, as well as a fire pit and BBQ. There is also a big garden with lots of fresh fruit, vegetables and herbs. The house is located about a 15 minute walk to the plaza, which is a walk we took almost daily. There are also walking paths nearby on Fitch mountain and along the Russian River. Kelci responded quickly to the one question I asked. We have stayed at multiple VRBO properties over the last few years. The temptation for the owners is to skimp when purchasing furniture, equipment and supplies. We were very pleased that Kelci did the opposite. The towels are high quality, there is plenty of cookware, dishware and glassware, including a large collection of wine glasses. We were able to relax and settle in quickly because we felt like we had all the comforts of home, but were not in someone else’s space. Healdsburg has an amazing selection of gourmet and casual restaurants as well as coffee shops and bakeries surrounding the plaza. It also has a number of wine tasting rooms in town. Kelci recommended several, like Banshee and Marine Layer, and we thoroughly enjoyed them. Healdsburg is minutes away from Dry Creek Valley and the Russian River Valley wine areas. Its also about 15 minutes from Santa Rosa, so it has the all the advantages of a small town with the convenience of a large town nearby. If you want to go on a vacation that is based on amazing food and wine, this is the spot for you. We definitely did not want to leave and can’t wait until we can go back."

Set hillside, elevated on the eastern bench in the heart of Dry Creek Valley, this 30-acre vineyard property has been lovingly redeveloped and the cottage has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms with gorgeous views are incredible. The vineyard is planted to Syrah, Grenache, Mourvedre, and Cab Sauvignon - and we produce six different wines under the Fat Dragon label from the estate fruit.

The space:
This well-appointed luxurious 1000+sf custom built cottage is equipped with Viking appliances and Restoration Hardware furniture. It has a nice, bright, and open floor plan.

Enjoy your morning coffee or evening wine sitting on the private covered porch looking out at vineyards on all sides and the stunning western hills of the gorgeous Dry Creek Valley. It's truly magical and such a relaxing place to come unwind.

This property is a working vineyard and it is surrounded by other working vineyards and during the growing season there may be vineyard workers are here early in the morning or during the days tending to the vines.

We harvest at night to pick the grapes when it's cooler out and if you are lucky enough to stay with us during one of the 4 to 5 harvest nights each fall you can come watch (midnight to early morning). It's an exciting time!

Also, on the rare occasion where temperatures in the valley drop below 35 degrees at night (Apr- Oct time frame) you'll likely hear the whir of vineyard fans that protect vineyards on the valley floor from frost.

Spacious, private 1 BDRM vineyard cottage is approximately 7 minutes to downtown Healdsburg. Easy access, surrounded by more than 60 acres of Dry Creek Valley vineyards. Perfect destination for wine appreciators, foodies, cycling enthusiasts and business travelers looking to stay 31 days or more surrounded by vineyards. You’ll love the comfy king size bed, queen sofa bed and elegant furnishings. We have a fully stocked kitchen and in house washer/dryer. We grow wine grapes and olives on site.

The space
Newly furnished, this spacious 850 square foot cottage is set up for comfort and relaxation, Cal King bed and queen sofa bed topped with your choice of down feather or hypo allergenic pillows. The bed is topped 100% cotton sheets with at least 540 thread count and a down comforter. Every window has a view of the vineyards right outside, and so does your parked car!

The living room is furnished with relaxation in mind, comfy easy chairs with ottomans, queen size sofa bed with memory foam mattress. Shower over tub with a convertible hand held multi spray wand and shower head, enclosed with frosted glass doors. The breakfast bar makes eating simple and convenient. Dish TV, and Wifi throughout. You have your own space and private access, park the car just a step away from the front door. Outside there is a private garden which looks out onto the vineyard just steps away to relax to appreciate a quiet respite from the rest of the world. We invite you to participate in our cooperative art project by adding your wine cork(s?!) to the "WINE" letters on the living room wall as your contribution.

Its beautiful here all year long, so come and enjoy any time. Some of the most popular weekends to visit the area are Winter Wine Land, Barrel Tasting Weekends, Dry Creek Passport Weekend, Taste of Alexander Valley, Wine Country Century, Sonoma County Backroad Challenge, Levi's GranFondo, Sonoma County Harvest Fair, and summer travel season, so if you are interested in those events we suggest you book early.

At the end of June we are scheduled to remove two trees near the cottage, which could take up to three days to accomplish. The trees must be removed for safety. If you are a guest during that time we will do our best to be as considerate as possible.

Guest access
Private key-less entry, great for flexible or late arrivals. Close to downtown and the freeway but legions away from hustle and bustle. We offer quiet country solitude, no cars passing right outside your window. We are on the valley floor, a short distance from the roadway with a wide easy driveway (No long narrow path up a steep mountain goat trail here!). The cottage is located in a separate structure providing additional freedom and independence.

Olive oil tasting by reservation when available, please schedule in advance for best availability. We speak reasonable Italian and Spanish and are learning Esperanto.

This unique property is located only 2.4 miles from Healdsburg Plaza. Situated on a historic 11-acre farm with 5 acres of Zinfandel grapes. This newly renovated Studio cottage was built in 1903. This creekside cottage is fully restored in an artist's handcrafted manner. All the furnishings are of the highest quality. Enjoy the natural surroundings while soaking in the private outdoor spa.

Private gated property. Guest parking is about 100 feet from the cottage. Access to the cottage is over a walking bridge up a gravel path where you veer left. You will see the cottage on your left. Guests will have exclusive access to a private outdoor spa. There are patio tables and a Weber gas grill.

The original farmhouse is located next door where our mother Yvonne resides.
She isn't home much, but when home she's quiet and respectful of our guest's privacy.

The space
When you enter our "Elegant Barn" you will know that you have chosen the perfect space for your Sonoma County wine vacation! The lovely 2-story barn cottage is newly built with both comfort and style in mind. The location is perfect for a wine country vacation. Located on a 3 acre vineyard property surrounded by wineries and open sheep and goat pastures and easy walking, bike riding and driving to many of Healdsburg's best wineries. But still around only a mile away from downtown with it's many tasting rooms and famous restaurants! The space is sunny and light-drenched with windows that boast views of surrounding vineyards and sheep farms. Hardwood floors, wooden beams, tiled-in showers are some of features of this custom-built cottage. Upstairs has one bedroom with walk-in closet, a pull out sofa bed in the living room, large bathroom with walk-in shower and a living room floor-to-ceiling convertible glass doors that open onto the large deck are some of it's many appealing features. Downstairs has a separate detached room with comfy queen bed and an attached full bathroom and sitting area, and coffee station and mini-fridge. The upstairs deck is a luxury on it's own account. The large wrap-around deck is where you are bound to spend much of your time! It has comfy outdoor couches, an outdoor dining table, lounge chairs and even a private HOT TUB! All with views of the surrounding vineyards and sheep pastures. We are even pet friendly and provide guests with a small fenced yard for Fido to relax in (pets must be supervised at all times while in the yard). We care about the environment! Our entire property is solar powered and we even provide guests with a Tesla charging station for their stay. There is a 2-car garage for parking and ample driveway parking as well. The "Elegant Barn" is a large guest house located on a 3-acre property. The main house on the property is occupied by the owners. But they will give you your privacy and space. The barn cottage is located at the rear of the property behind the owner's home. You have access to the garage for storage or parking, separate, small fenced dog yard and access to the 3-acre property to walk around and look at the grape vines!

We are dog friendly! BUT we do charge a $75 fee PER PET PER WEEK that is non-refundable. Please contact us before booking if you have more than 1 pet so that the $75 Per Pet fee will be accurately charged. The living area is located on the second story of the home. So you must walk up stairs to access the space. We DO have a Tesla car charger! So bring your electric car! This is one of 2 homes located on an over 2-acre property. The owners of the property live in the other home. But will give you your privacy during your stay! Please note that there is one garage space in the garage for guest parking. But the garage is shared with the owners who will occasionally need access to the garage themselves to drop off or pick up items from the a garage. The second bedroom is detached from the main living area of the unit. It is located on the first floor of the home next to the garage and has it's own entrance. Perfect for couple traveling together or friends/family who want a bit more space and privacy. :)

Beautiful modern getaway right on Dry Creek! This secluded, peaceful property has a full kitchen, huge deck, two king bedrooms with in-suite bathrooms and a king Murphy bed and full bath in the living space. The popular Healdsburg Plaza, with all its shops and restaurants, is just a 15-minute walk away. A family of foxes often makes early morning visits and we once saw an otter in the river.

The space
With three separate buildings connected by a large deck, you have privacy while communing with friends. The interiors are modern and soothing, and the spacious deck has room for outdoor dining and relaxing. The entry gate opens automatically from both sides. There is also a clicker outside the property in the black mailbox (first of 3 just before the neighbor's driveway) and one mounted to the north fence inside the property.

Please note: The property is only fenced on two sides. One side is open to the riverbank, which is steep and densely overgrown, and another is open to a grassy field and eventually Westside Road about a 1/4 mile away.

The space
This lovely little cottage is really a unique and hard to find category for a few guests or 2 couples. Furnished smartly, and priced right, this cottage offers big amenities for the vacation home traveler.

Set on one acre, there is a hobby vineyard, outdoor seating area and beautiful picnic table under the fairy light strung walnut tree. A large deck and hot tub sit outside the French doors entering the kitchen and a beautiful glass fire pit just beyond the deck. Beyond that are beautiful vineyards and delicious blackberries.

As our guests walk into the front door (through a small gate) they enter the living room. This area has an oversize TV/DVD, armchair sofa, a sofa and a fold out chair. There is a wood burning fireplace, and dining area enough for 4 guests.

To the left of the living room area are two bedrooms, each with queen bed and wonderfully comfortable mattresses and linens. Walking through the living room area our guests access the kitchen area with modern appliances and inside laundry area. Adjacent to the laundry area is the full bathroom.

The many wonderful amenities include walking/ bicycling to town (just a few minutes by car), large hot tub, and one acre of property with vineyard, and Orsi Winery across the road (with a few other also amazing wineries a short walk away).

This beautiful home is newly remodeled and ready to create new memories!

The home is a located 5 mins from town right by a couple of wineries.

Guests have access to most of the property, with the exception of the locked closets for housekeeping supplies and the barn structure against the right side of the yard.

This home is a short walk or drive to Healdsburg town center! It is also across the street from Orsi Winery and close to a few other wonderful wineries. It also features a wonderful outdoor patio and picnic area for outdoor relaxation.
