Sitting in the shade of the front porch is a wonderful way to while away an afternoon. The shade from the large namesake Oaktree over the property keeps everything about 15 degrees cooler than out in the sun, and sitting there just feels somehow... right! To help enjoy the cool breeze, we've placed a teak glider bench next to the front door to enhance the experience. The travertine patio gives privacy just steps away from both cottages, and around back is a pergola with a gas fire pit and comfy chairs. A couple of chaises, as well as other lounging furniture, makes the backyard incredibly relaxing. Pick some tomatoes and pinch off some basil from the herb garden drizzle a little olive oil, mix in some slices of asiago cheese and you've got a wonderful, simple Mediterranean tomato salad like Nana used to make!

Newly renovated home with a gorgeous bathroom that includes a full soaking bathtub and separate walk-in stall shower. Bedrooms include a master bedroom and a guest bedroom, both with Queen-size Beautyrest beds. Each bedroom includes flat-screen TV's. The backyard includes fruit and citrus trees, as well as a vineyard of edible grapes as well as a small vegetable & herb garden for your (seasonal) use. The xeriscape landscape is easy to relax in - especially while reclining in the fun bright green Adirondack chairs near the Agave.

With its central location, Lazy Oak is a great place to use as an exploration base, or simply to get away from it all!

- "By far my favorite part about our stay here (other than the hosts, who were friendly and nice, and Sheila even gave us a private yoga lesson) was the tree-covered patio featuring several breathtaking trees. On the super hot days we were there, I enjoyed nothing more than taking a book beneath the canopy of green and getting lost to the nature. The guest house is private (it currently abuts a large empty lot populated by a family of deer), but the actual accommodations were only so-so. This includes the bed (incredibly creaky), pillows, kitchen appliances, and shower. In other words, don't expect a luxurious interior, but given the proximity to Sonoma as well as the aforementioned patio, this is still a great place to spend a vacation."

Nestled down a little country dirt lane, our cottage named after William Wordsworth's own Dove Cottage, is a calming sanctuary in the middle of the Wine Country, close to Sonoma Plaza. It is a completely private residence with it's own solar-heated pool, large private deck for entertaining, dining, and relaxing. It has a lush, wrap-around garden, and a modern, clean, minimal interior space. It is perfectly located close to Sonoma Square for the best in fine dining and access to some of the best wineries in the world.

Our cottage is perfect for a couple's romantic weekend away, or a fun weekend for a small family with kids enjoying the pool (with automatic cover- so very safe) and Traintown just around the corner. *We do not typically heat the pool November- February due to the cold temperatures, it is almost impossible to get the pool warm enough to enjoy.

Besides being a beautiful little getaway, we have also put thought into the details: Dove Cottage has air-conditioning/heating and features a beautiful custom luxury kitchen. It has two Sony HD TV's with complimentary Netflix and Cable, Full Lightening speed Wi-fi, and unique European design details such as a sliding custom barn-door and two Dutch-style doors. And the back master suite has french doors that lead out to your private deck to enjoy the evening sunsets or the fresh morning air.

Our cottage is close enough to the Square for easy access and proximity yet has a wonderful rural setting that allows you to simultaneously feel away from it all. We have tried to create a space that we love to be in as a family, or as a romantic getaway, and we have put a lot of thought into the design and flow, and we hope that you will love it, and that it will make your time in this beautiful part of the world even more enjoyable and memorable.

The location is great! Walking distance to Train Town (if you have kids) and Sonoma Plaza with delicious restaurants and great shops. The Cottage is set back from the road on a private acre surrounded by neighboring vineyards with a small meadow in front. We are located just outside of Sonoma proper in the Carneros wine growing appellation. Central to everything you could want to experience in both the Sonoma and Napa Valleys.
The Cottage was recently remodeled with great thought put into the comfort of our guests including full generator backup in the event of power loss.
We have Daikan air-conditioning / heating split system throughout with a gas stove in the living room and heated bathroom floors.
Both bedrooms have floor heaters and Queen size beds that are outfitted with luxury mattresses.
Our kitchen has all the amenities of home. And of course we have super fast wifi and a large flat screen tv with cable in the living room.
Guests are encouraged to use the BBQ and our well maintained hot tub 365 days a year on our patio that faces the beautiful Mayacamas mountains.
Adjacent to the patio is our pump house that holds a full sized washer and dryer.
Uber drivers and local wine tours are familiar with our property and are used by our guests regularly.
We have two options to cover damage protection. A damage protection policy with CSA OR a REFUNDABLE credit card damage protection deposit.
Both used to be offered but recently we were asked to choose between the two and have gone with the CSA damage protection policy because it has been the most preferred. BUT if you would like to use the REFUNDABLE credit card deposit option please contact me for coordination.
Our cottage is in a neighborhood of WORKING vineyards. Guests may experience seasonal activity and noise attributed to vineyard care and maintenance.

This quiet and serene Cape Cod cedar shake cottage consists of two main rooms. The large bedroom has a king bed, with a sitting area, 43' flat screen TV, with wi-fi throughout, 1/2 bath with washer/dryer and walk-in closet. The French doors open to an outside sitting area with meadow views. Connected by a breezeway, the separate structure houses a large kitchen room with a dining and sitting area, full kitchen, bath with shower, large closets and French doors that open to a vine covered patio and BBQ area.

It is fully furnished with a separate bedroom and a full bath, a complete kitchen and living room. There is a lovely attached deck for your morning coffee. Turn a corner and you're in one of wine country's most amazing gardens.

The bedroom features a queen size bed with dressers and an armoire for plenty of clothes storage. The kitchen is equipped with plates, glasses, knives, pots and pans, a coffee maker and microwave.

Centrally located with plenty of space, this cottage has all the amenities of home, and if you are visiting during harvest you might have the opportunity to make wine with one of Sonoma's most famous winemakers.

Quail Run is named after the families of quail whose habitat we share. It is a unique property that has been enjoyed by our family for 60 years. The recently renovated cottage has a great room with living area, kitchen and dining, and a bedroom that opens up to a private patio with hot tub. The great room opens up to a grape vine covered arbor and patio that transitions into a large lawn. Beyond the lawn is our orchard and past the orchard is the Freyer Creek bike path that leads to downtown Sonoma. The cottage is the only house on the two acre property.
