Our home includes a main house, art/music studio and guest cottage which surround a center courtyard with a large deck, concrete dining table, lawn, pool, bocce court and olive orchard. The main house has 3 bedrooms and 2 full recently remodeled bathrooms. Master bedroom has a Cal King bed and private bathroom with dual sinks. Second bedroom has a Queen bed. Third bedroom has twin beds. There is an office adjacent the twin bedroom. Our home is reminiscent of a tuscan villa, with rustic wood floors, and a large country farm table. The kitchen has concrete countertops, new stainless steel appliances, a country farm sink, and is fully stocked with all modern amenities. There is a breakfast nook and two person bar adjacent the kitchen, perfect for guests to mingle while preparing dinner. The kitchen opens up to the great room with living area, dining room, and gas fireplace.

Living/dining room patio door opens up to courtyard with large deck for barbecuing and outdoor dining. There is a concrete table for 10 under olive shade trees, and a built-in charcoal barbecue.

The separate 1 bedroom/1 bathroom cottage features wood and tuscan tile floors, TV, full kitchen with stainless steel appliances, queen bed, air conditioning, and a private deck/patio overlooking the bocce court and olive orchard.

There is a 800 sq. ft. open studio with art table, stage, guitar, karaoke machine, keyboard, ping pong and foosball table.

The saline pool stays warm in the summer with a thermal cover.

We have 6 Cannondale hybrid bikes of various sizes with helmets and locks for you to enjoy during your stay.

The property is located on Sonoma's East Side, complete with a rich variety of vineyards and wine tasting, including Gundlach Bundschu, Buena Vista, Scribe, and Sebastiani. Sonoma Square is a flat 1.5 mile bike ride or stroll away. The Lovall Valley Loop is a great road bike ride just outside our front door. There is NO air conditioning in the main house. We keep it cool on hot days by keeping curtains closed during the day, and opening the windows to the typically cool Sonoma nights.

Casa Luna Verano is a spacious 2 bedroom + den home in a quiet, country neighborhood just ten minutes away from the Sonoma Plaza. There is a beautiful pool surrounded by oak trees and lavender; a hot tub; outdoor dining area; a cabana with daybeds (during pool season), perfect for relaxing with a glass of wine or reading a book, once you've had enough sun for the day. Pool season is usually mid-May to early October. The hot tub is heated to 102-104 degrees year round.

The public spaces include a great room with large window walls that can be opened up for the ultimate in indoor-outdoor living. The back patio is perfect for al fresco dining with a view of golden grasses, hundred year old oak trees and views of the Mayacamas Mountains on the east and Sonoma Mountain to the west. The chef's kitchen includes a refrigerator, microwave, gas cooktop, double ovens, a warming drawer and dishwasher; full set of dishes, pots, pans, glasses and barware. You'll usually find basic pantry items as well (oil, seasonings, etc). If you use a pinch of salt, no need to replace it - but if you bake a cake, please replace what you use from the pantry! The formal dining table has comfortable seating for 12. The entire house, including kitchens and three bathrooms, is thoroughly modern as a result of an extensive remodel from 2019-2022.

The primary bedroom and the den each have a high end king size mattress (Tuft and Needle and Keetsa memory foam); the other bedroom a queen size Tuft and Needle. Note to European guests: these are US mattress sizes, King= 193cm x 203cm; Queen= 152cm x 203cm. All feature high thread count cotton sheets, feather pillows and blackout shades, to help ensure you have a quiet and dark bedroom as long as you want to sleep. There is a projection TV with 92" screen in the great room with local San Francisco stations and all streaming apps on Roku (bring your own login), one smart TV in the primary bedroom with most streaming apps (bring your own login). Bedroom 2 and the Den each have a 28" monitor with HDMI input.

Although very quiet and private, it's the perfect base for exploring Sonoma wine country, with the restaurants of Sonoma Plaza ten minutes away and well over hundred wineries in Sonoma, Glen Ellen, Kenwood, and Carneros within a 15-20 minute drive. In order to confirm your reservation, you'll need to provide a copy of your government-issued ID and a $1000 security deposit (typically taken as a hold - not a charge - on your credit card prior to arrival), and sign a rental agreement. After the booking, we will verify all reservation details within 72 hours.
The maximum number of overnight guests is six and the total number of guests allowed at any time is 12. The maximum number of vehicles allowed overnight is two. Sonoma County prohibits amplified music outdoors at vacation rentals at all times; we ask that you respect the ordinance's quiet hours of 9PM-7AM as we have neighbors who will call if you are noisy. Please help us keep good relations with our neighbors; if you are enjoying a late dinner or glass of wine on the back patio, please move inside at 8:30 to avoid disturbing them. - "We were 2 families with young children and this house was perfect for us. Enough room for everyone to spread out, gorgeous pool, very nice finishes and furniture throughout. The house was well equipped and the automatic pool cover was a big plus as we do have young children. We also really liked the location - yes it's up a steep and windy one-lane road but it was only a 10min drive to the square and afforded us some privacy. I recommend booking a driver in advance as it was difficult to get Ubers. Overall I highly recommend this house!"

Il Paradiso in Terra (Heaven on Earth), a unique property with an abundance of oak trees, vibrant flowers and stunning views, in a huge garden setting with all the comforts of a home, along with easy access to countless nearby wineries and restaurants – A truly peaceful and tranquil experience. The home elegantly captures the feeling of a serene and stately villa with its magical gardens, its idyllic swimming pool and its sweeping views of the Sonoma countryside, valleys and mountains.

An abundance of light illuminates a stunning collection of art work, especially in the foyer and living room with glass doors that open onto the terrace. The kitchen has a gas burner cooktop, double ovens, microwave and is well-stocked with all that any serious cook could hope for with its generous food-prep areas along with a pantry filled with some 33 herbs and spices that are there for guests to use in their cooking. The home also features a den with a fold-out table and a small office space with printer. The kitchen, livingroom and den, all have TV’s.

But Il Paradiso in Terra’s exterior is what is most unique. Imagine walking along pathways and through gardens, listening to your favorite music, enjoying a massage in one of the outdoor or indoor areas, or just reading a book in a pagoda overlooking the Sonoma Valley. Our villa is just 20 minutes from Napa, 45 minutes to Healdsburg, and only 45 minutes from San Francisco, so it makes an excellent home base should you want to venture beyond Sonoma Valley.

NO EVENTS. Due to county restrictions, short term rentals are unable to host events, like weddings. Our day time occupancy limit of 16 guests is mandated by the county.

The pool is only available during the summer (April through October), please inquire prior to arrival about heating the pool during your stay.

We are happy to welcome well behaved dogs. They must not bark, and supervised at all times. We are in the country, so our neighbors have ducks, chickens, and dogs of their own visible from the grounds. Though the property is fenced in, small wildlife may find their way into the yard.

Three of the beds are located on the ground floor, though one of them does require walking up three steps. The other three beds are on the 2nd floor, requiring walking up a full set of stairs.

To protect your trip investment, we strongly recommend all guests to carry travel insurance. It’s an affordable way to ensure peace of mind if the unexpected happens.

Noise limits are strictly enforced in accordance with Sonoma County regulations. Outdoor amplified sound and loud impulsive sounds are prohibited at all times, and quiet hours are from 9:00 PM- 7:00 AM. Several decibel meters are located on the premises (they do not record audio whatsoever, they only monitor noise volume).

For the safety and security of our guests and property, four exterior security cameras are installed. Two cameras monitor the front driveway, one monitors the pool area, and one monitors the courtyard. These cameras are used for security purposes and do not invade guest privacy.

The spacious great room has a living space/media area with a large TV sleekly hidden behind a sliding panel as well as a contemporary kitchen with counter seating, a dining table, fireplace, and a butler’s pantry behind the kitchen. Enjoy indoor-outdoor living with sliding glass doors which open up to a screened porch with a dining table, overhead heaters and comfortable seating area overlooking the grounds and the 60-foot pool.

MOROCCO-MEETS-MEXICO
The property recently went through an extensive update and has lots of beautiful design details throughout. Its bohemian design will transport you to another world, filled with beautiful textiles, accessories, rugs and vintage furniture finds from the owner’s extensive international travels. The space is beautiful, bright and filled with warmth, you will feel like this is your own home!

Bedroom #1: The Master has 1 King Bed plus a low seating area made up of 2 twin beds. It leads out to the wrap-around deck.

Bathroom #1: The Master Bathroom is very generous in size - double sinks, bathtub and shower will transport you to your own private spa.

OUTDOOR
Sitting on a 4-acre estate, the home is surrounded by beautifully manicured gardens and lush trees. The back of the house has a continuous deck with an outdoor living and dining area, ideal for entertaining and relaxing. The sunset with the mountains in the backdrop makes the deck the best place for evening cocktails.

The Pool has just undergone an extensive update and has newly installed solar heating! Situated in an enclosed courtyard, the Pool is surrounded by beautiful trees and plantings. It is the perfect spot for lounging all day long. The pool’s heating system is not operational from late October through early April. (Please note there is a hot tub at the property but NOT available for guest use)

INDOOR
With over 3,200 sq. ft of living space, the home is generous enough to be very comfortable for 8 guests. The large kitchen is equipped with all the necessary tools to put together amazing meals. There is a dining room and tv room at the back of the house next to the kitchen and all three of the spaces flow easily from one to another. You also have a large living room that is great to hang out and listen to music or play games in addition to a formal dining room for special meals. Most of the public spaces are covered with terracotta tiles which keeps the house extremely cool during warm summer days.

EVENTS
Due to zoning regulations, events are NOT allowed at the property. The maximum number of guests allowed at the home are 8 people at all times. This will be enforced in order to adhere to permitting regulations, any misuse will be fined.
Guest access
The front lawn and backyard/pool area of the home are solely for the usage of the guest. The rest of the property is private and non-accessible.

What We Love About Villa Casterno
Grand in scale with contemporary styling, original works of art and cheerful ambiance, this luxurious gated vineyard estate offers secluded privacy and sweeping views of the Sonoma Valley. (4 bedrooms and 4.5 bathrooms, plus office, and pool house).

The exterior architecture is modeled after a modern Italian villa and the landscaping is designed to capture the stunning views as well as highlight the elegant swimming pool and spa. (Not covered, not well suited for children under 8 years old--note that pool is solar heated Memorial Day through Labor Day, only) Gated, with a main residence and guesthouse on the property, there is ample room for up to 8 guests.

The main house is approximately 3,000 square feet and has 3 bedrooms (all upstairs). Downstairs is an office and a well-designed kitchen with all the amenities for enthusiastic cooks--the kitchen and dining area has recently been expanded and remodeled completely, the kitchen with all-new sub-zero appliances. The spacious, contemporary and stylish dining room seats 8 for dinner and is an inviting room to host beautiful wine country meals.

A large living room with wrap around decks takes full advantage of the property's hillside location. From the living area guests can enjoy mountain, vineyard and pool views. If you can be tempted away from the natural beauty just beyond your windows, there is a large flat-screen TV for your enjoyment.

Upstairs the generous master suite has a king bed and a flat screen TV. A spacious private terrace offers the perfect seating area to enjoy the magical vista surrounding you. The master bath has abundant natural light and has been remodeled with a free standing tub and separate shower and toilet.

The 2nd and 3rd cheery bedrooms have queen beds and each has their own ensuite bathroom (with shower). A lovely large terrace off one of the guest rooms offers a relaxing sunset view of the mountain and vineyards.

There is a large office and separate TV room downstairs for a private workspace or for quiet television viewing.

This home has an incredibly inviting, comfortable layout that takes full advantage of the flow between the indoor and outdoor spaces--in large part thanks to the well-placed private terraces, wrap around decks and many windows throughout.

An outdoor patio with a dining table for 8 plus multiple lounge chairs and a large fire-pit is the perfect place to enjoy summer evenings alfresco, under the olive trees and by the vines. There is also a lovely new bocce court set in the vineyard. The pool and beautifully landscaped yard are screened with oaks, olive and lemon trees, birds of paradise and a private Zinfandel vineyard for your own little taste of wine country.

Additionally there is a large, charming and contemporary guesthouse with one bedroom and a full bath as well as a kitchenette and bonus hobby room. The bedroom suite is on the second floor and has a king bed, couch, large flat screen TV and french doors that lead to an expansive view of the vineyards with a lovely private balcony for reading or dining. Downstairs there is a bonus or hobby room with a flat-screen TV, and queen sofa bed. There is workout room with a Lifecycle bike, bench and weights.

This stunning and private 1.7 acre estate is a rare gem. It is ideally located in the heart of Sonoma's wine country halfway between Kenwood/Glen Ellen and the historic square in downtown Sonoma close to vineyards, wineries, tasting rooms and restaurants.

This property is located in the County of Sonoma and is subject by county law to restrictions and the rules set by the property owner with a goal of being considerate of neighbors. Overnight and day time occupancy is limited to 8 guests; events, parties and outdoor amplified music are not allowed; rental guests must observe quiet hours between 9:00pm and 9:00 am.
