Fox Kit Cottage offers an exciting ocean experience in sumptuous comfort. As you scroll through the pictures you will see there is nothing in Bodega Bay like it. Well-appointed, it has two bedrooms, one with a queen-sized bed, the other with two twin beds, and one bathroom. It is perfect for a romantic getaway or a vacation for a small family.

With its remodel in 2011and further enhancements in 2018, the cottage continues as an upscale retreat for its owners and guests. Sitting above Wright’s Beach, views dominate from nearly every room, and intense ocean scenes are customary. From the beautifully designed deck and spa, you will relax, unwind, and feel what the power of the sea can do for your soul.

The ocean is not the only attraction. There is wildlife everywhere. Birds, whales, and fox (the cottage’s namesake) are just a sampling. From two short paths – Monterey Pine Path, and Bluff Path, you will enjoy the coastal landscape and incredible views. The spacious lot hosts a majestic, intricately intertwined, 40-year old Monterey Pine tree, with a path under its canopy and a stone bench to sit and admire natural arbor artistry. The Bluff Path takes you down to a bench amongst the freshwater springs, flowering foliage, with the vast ocean below.

Pine View Cottage is a 1 bedroom/1 bathroom home perfect for a couple looking for a peaceful and private retreat in the town of Bodega Bay. The Pine View Cottage has a full kitchen, private fenced patio, barbecue and private hot tub.

The Pine View Cottage is located on scenic Highway 1 at the north end of the fishing village of Bodega Bay. It sits on a double lot adjacent to its sister-house, the Pine View Bungalow. There is ample parking for your car(s) or boat(s).

Pine View Cottage was converted from a vintage garage and completed in 2014. Upon entering the home, you will immediately notice the beautiful finishes including hardwood floors, skylights, and custom kitchen cabinetry. The living room is furnished with a comfortable sofa and leather chair. Additional amenities include free Cable TV, DVD/CD player with surround sound and high speed wireless Internet.

The bedroom has a queen bed and knotty pine ceiling. You really get the feeling of being inside a yacht. The stacked washer/dryer is inside an adjoining room that doubles as the closet for the bedroom. The bathroom is directly across the hall and has a jetted tub and shower combination.

There is a hot water on demand system for the house that provides unlimited hot water (although we encourage water conservation).

The kitchen is fully furnished with gas range, refrigerator and microwave oven. If you don't feel like cooking, you may choose to treat yourself to a great meal at the Michelin rated Terrapin Creek Cafe directly across the street. There's nothing better than walking to dinner - enjoying great cuisine, drinks and dessert - and not having to get in your car!

Cozy, clean and so near the beach and the town. We enjoyed the hot tub, played ping pong and darts too. We took a walk to a nearby beach and enjoyed going to Drakes and The Tides. This home was very comfortable for the four of us. Perfect size for us and we enjoyed watching movies on the tv, playing games and just being together laughing and enjoying one another in the beautiful setting. Thank you."

A perfect get-away for those who want to witness the abundance of nature on the Sonoma coast, surrounded by charm and comfort. Wedged between two dog friendly Sonoma State Beaches on a charming street west of the Pacific Coast Highway, this tiny jewel has everything you need. To the West, you’ll experience stunning sunsets, rejuvenating sea breeze, and the calming sounds of the waves. To East, you’ll see pastureland with bucolic rolling hills.

The House
80 years ago it was the stables of an adjacent ranch. It was tastefully converted by folks who made it their home for 60 years. We updated and brightened it, but maintained its original character with its wood paneling and Dutch door entry. The kitchen has gorgeous butcher block counters, a nespresso machine, a Breville oven, a full-size oven, a microwave and a dishwasher. The main living space has two sofas (one is a sofabed) and dining room table that seats four. The bedroom is cozy with a queen size bed that overlooks a private garden. Our remodeled bathroom utilizes every inch of space with a new shower, toilet and vanity. The water pressure is great!

A perfect spot for a couple. The sofabed in the living room can sleep an additional person or a couple of small kids. Dogs are welcome!

The Landscape
The front yard is a succulent showcase with something blooming year-round. Off the bedroom is lovely courtyard. From bed enjoy the birds at the birdbath or relax in the seating area with your morning coffee.

Activities
It’s a 5-minute walk to the state-maintained paths of Duncan’s Cove and Wright’s Beach. At The Cove you’ll find tide pools filled with ochre sea stars, sea anemones, mussels and dark, rich seaweed. Three miles north are tide pools at Shell Beach, home to sea anemones and occasionally small octopus.

Across from Shell Beach is Pomo Canyon trail that will take you to second growth redwood trees. Wrights Beach leads to the Kortum Trail, the longest cliff side trail in California. An easy and glorious walk! Great for the family.

Other activities include wine tasting in the Russian River Valley, horseback riding on the beach from Chandler Ranch, surfing at Salmon Creek Beach, pampering at the Osmosis Spa, hiking among ancient redwoods at Armstrong Grove, golfing at Bodega Harbor, kayaking and swimming on the Russian River…. The list goes on and on and we are happy to provide suggestions!

Internet and TV
Hi-speed internet gives you connection anywhere inside the house or out in the gardens. Fubu is used for live TV and streaming apps available include Netflix, HBO, Disney+, Hulu, etc. There is an Amazon Firestick.

The second cottage surrounded by the lovely garden on the left is where you will be staying . The cottage is freshly renovated with a new well-equipped kitchen and modern bathroom and with everything that you might need for your short stay. The guest room has a full bed for two people . The master bedroom features a Queen bed and cabinets with plenty of storage space . Cozy up by the propane fireplace in the living room where you can enjoy your favorite show on the smart TV, watch one of the films provider for the DVD player or just hunker down and read that book youv’e been wanting to read. The dining area has plenty of space to play some board games or have a great meal with your friends or family . Central heating is also available. The bathroom is completely renovated and modern. For your convenience there is a desk for those needing a peaceful environment to get work done . Hang outside on the back deck and enjoy the view as wildlife put on its show. You’ll see and hear a lot of birds, deer, foxes , quails and more ! A propane BBQ is available for cooking out doors . Newly built outside is an outdoor fire pit with 4 seats and two outdoor showers! The shower on the deck has hot and cold water, and the second shower next to the hot tub by the big old trees is to rinse before your dip in the hot tub !That one is cold water only. This garden cottage comes well-appointed with home comforts including a private hot tub and furnished, water view deck. The kitchen comes equipped with all the major appliances, cookware, and utensils to handle home cooking. Comfortable armchairs and sofa seating offer a cozy place to unwind after the day's adventures, with a central wood stove providing cozy warmth. This studio features a loft-style bedroom with a futon providing an additional sleeping option in the living area.

- "This Bodega Bay rental was situated in a fantastic location, with amazing views of the bay. It was so nice to wake up to the sounds of seagulls and see the water right outside the bedroom window. We had breakfast on the deck which was facing the bay. The hot tub was also a special treat. This too had stunning views and was so relaxing. The rental was within walking distance to a store and in the middle of lots of restaurants. Accommodations were good, the place being very cozy. I wouldn't recommend of large families. Since it's on the main hwy, there is only 1 parking space. The loft could accommodate 1 maybe 2 kids. For us, this was a perfect romantic getaway for me and my husband. We very much enjoyed our stay and would consider renting again next time we are in Bodega Bay. "
