Fox Kit Cottage offers an exciting ocean experience in sumptuous comfort. As you scroll through the pictures you will see there is nothing in Bodega Bay like it. With its remodel in 2011and further enhancements in 2018, the cottage continues as an upscale retreat for its owners and guests. Sitting above Wright’s Beach, views dominate from nearly every room, and intense ocean scenes are customary. The ocean is not the only attraction. There is wildlife everywhere. Birds, whales, and fox (the cottage’s namesake) are just a sampling. From two short paths – Monterey Pine Path, and Bluff Path, you will enjoy the coastal landscape and incredible views. The spacious lot hosts a majestic, intricately intertwined, 40-year old Monterey Pine tree, with a path under its canopy and a stone bench to sit and admire natural arbor artistry. Pine View Cottage is a 1 bedroom/1 bathroom home perfect for a couple looking for a peaceful and private retreat in the town of Bodega Bay. The Pine View Cottage has a full kitchen, private fenced patio, barbecue and private hot tub.

The Pine View Cottage is located on scenic Highway 1 at the north end of the fishing village of Bodega Bay. It sits on a double lot adjacent to its sister-house, the Pine View Bungalow. There is ample parking for your car(s) or boat(s).

Pine View Cottage was converted from a vintage garage and completed in 2014. Upon entering the home, you will immediately notice the beautiful finishes including hardwood floors, skylights, and custom kitchen cabinetry. The living room is furnished with a comfortable sofa and leather chair. Additional amenities include free Cable TV, DVD/CD player with surround sound and high speed wireless Internet.

The bedroom has a queen bed and knotty pine ceiling. You really get the feeling of being inside a yacht. The stacked washer/dryer is inside an adjoining room that doubles as the closet for the bedroom. The bathroom is directly across the hall and has a jetted tub and shower combination.

There is a hot water on demand system for the house that provides unlimited hot water (although we encourage water conservation).

The kitchen is fully furnished with gas range, refrigerator and microwave oven. If you don't feel like cooking, you may choose to treat yourself to a great meal at the Michelin rated Terrapin Creek Cafe directly across the street. There's nothing better than walking to dinner - enjoying great cuisine, drinks and dessert - and not having to get in your car!

Cozy, clean and so near the beach and the town. We enjoyed the hot tub, played ping pong and darts too. We took a walk to a nearby beach and enjoyed going to Drakes and The Tides. This home was very comfortable for the four of us. A perfect get-away for those who want to witness the abundance of nature on the Sonoma coast, surrounded by charm and comfort. Wedged between two dog friendly Sonoma State Beaches on a charming street west of the Pacific Coast Highway, this tiny jewel has everything you need. To the West, you’ll experience stunning sunsets, rejuvenating sea breeze, and the calming sounds of the waves. To East, you’ll see pastureland with bucolic rolling hills.

The House
80 years ago it was the stables of an adjacent ranch. It was tastefully converted by folks who made it their home for 60 years. We updated and brightened it, but maintained its original character with its wood paneling and Dutch door entry. The kitchen has gorgeous butcher block counters, a nespresso machine, a Breville oven, a full-size oven, a microwave and a dishwasher. The main living space has two sofas (one is a sofabed) and dining room table that seats four. The bedroom is cozy with a queen size bed that overlooks a private garden. Our remodeled bathroom utilizes every inch of space with a new shower, toilet and vanity. The water pressure is great!

A perfect spot for a couple. The sofabed in the living room can sleep an additional person or a couple of small kids. Dogs are welcome!

The Landscape
The front yard is a succulent showcase with something blooming year-round. Off the bedroom is lovely courtyard. From bed enjoy the birds at the birdbath or relax in the seating area with your morning coffee.

Activities
It’s a 5-minute walk to the state-maintained paths of Duncan’s Cove and Wright’s Beach. At The Cove you’ll find tide pools filled with ochre sea stars, sea anemones, mussels and dark, rich seaweed. Three miles north are tide pools at Shell Beach, home to sea anemones and occasionally small octopus.

Across from Shell Beach is Pomo Canyon trail that will take you to second growth redwood trees. Wrights Beach leads to the Kortum Trail, the longest cliff side trail in California. An easy and glorious walk! Great for the family.

Other activities include wine tasting in the Russian River Valley, horseback riding on the beach from Chandler Ranch, surfing at Salmon Creek Beach, pampering at the Osmosis Spa, hiking among ancient redwoods at Armstrong Grove, golfing at Bodega Harbor, kayaking and swimming on the Russian River…. The list goes on and on and we are happy to provide suggestions!

Hi-speed internet gives you connection anywhere inside the house or out in the gardens. Fubu is used for live TV and streaming apps available include Netflix, HBO, Disney+, Hulu, etc. There is an Amazon Firestick.

The cottage is freshly renovated with a new well-equipped kitchen and modern bathroom and with everything that you might need for your short stay. The guest room has a full bed for two people . The master bedroom features a Queen bed and cabinets with plenty of storage space . Cozy up by the propane fireplace in the living room where you can enjoy your favorite show on the smart TV, watch one of the films provider for the DVD player or just hunker down and read that book youv’e been wanting to read. The dining area has plenty of space to play some board games or have a great meal with your friends or family . Central heating is also available. The bathroom is completely renovated and modern. For your convenience there is a desk for those needing a peaceful environment to get work done . Hang outside on the back deck and enjoy the view as wildlife put on its show. - "This Bodega Bay rental was situated in a fantastic location, with amazing views of the bay. It was so nice to wake up to the sounds of seagulls and see the water right outside the bedroom window. We had breakfast on the deck which was facing the bay. The hot tub was also a special treat. This too had stunning views and was so relaxing. The rental was within walking distance to a store and in the middle of lots of restaurants. Accommodations were good, the place being very cozy. I wouldn't recommend of large families. Since it's on the main hwy, there is only 1 parking space. The loft could accommodate 1 maybe 2 kids. For us, this was a perfect romantic getaway for me and my husband. We very much enjoyed our stay and would consider renting again next time we are in Bodega Bay. "

The space
One of only 4 homes on Salmon Creek, you have unobstructed views of the creek, sand dunes, and waves crashing on the nearby beach. The home is walking distance to Salmon Creek beach and just a short drive from the town of Bodega Bay.

This home has been extensively updated to change this from a cramped, 1-bedroom cabin into a small but cute cottage with a renovated bathroom, small (but mighty) kitchen, LED lighting, fast WiFi and smart TV.

Enjoy a glass of wine or cup of coffee on the spacious deck, or prepare dinner on the propane grill (propane and grilling tools provided!). At night, enjoy a fire in cottage's wood burning stove. The interior layout of the home was completely redone to maximize your enjoyment of the cottage's 550 square feet.

The kitchen has propane range, microwave, and dishwasher. A small kitchen island expands the area for food prep or eating. The two bedrooms are not large, but both have queen beds with comfortable memory foam mattresses. The cottage has a washer & dryer so you can pack less and not worry about getting dirty.

Perfect for a couple, this home also works well for families and children. The house has a DVD player, a small selection of house DVDs, adult & children's books, board games, and some toys. For beach days, please feel free to use the house beach towels, chairs and sand toys, then wash your feet off by the back steps to the deck.

Many cell phone carriers have very poor reception in Salmon Creek. The house has strong, high speed wifi, but please have the house address entered in your GPS and be prepared to use WiFi for calls.

Enjoy the charm of our 1932 knotty pine beach cottage with gorgeous views of Salmon Creek meeting the Pacific Ocean. We are a short 5-minute walk to the beach. Bask in the fresh air and views of sand, surf and sunsets from the living room or back deck, or majestic mountains from the front porch. Our cottage offers comfort with a beachy feel. We take great care in the comfort and safety of our guests. Our home is thoroughly cleaned and sanitized per the California Guidelines after each guest.

The space
Swallow's Nest is comfortable, serene and joyful. Most spectacular are the ocean views from the living room, bedroom and back deck. Though only 700 square feet, the layout is pleasant, with two bedrooms (a queen in the larger room and a full in the "tiny room"), a full bathroom, living room, fully stocked kitchen and dining area. Both the front and back decks are great for relaxing with a glass of something good and gazing upon either the ocean or the hills to the east. Sunsets are breathtaking! The kitchen is small but has everything you need, and there's a gas grill in the backyard.
Pets are not allowed.

We have internet service with WiFi and a flatscreen TV for streaming—no live TV. We have voice over IP on which you can make calls anywhere in the U.S. or Canada for free. There is very limited cell phone reception in Salmon Creek, but depending on your cell provider and plan, you can enable “WiFi Calling” on your smartphone to make and receive calls when you are at the cottage.

Please leave the cottage tidy with dishes washed. Please turn off all floor heaters and the gas fireplace. Return key to the lockbox. Bring garbage and recycling to the bins in front of the adjacent garage. While there, look up and see if you can find the Swallow's Nests!

Right in the middle of the bay and close to everything. There is a cool playhouse for kids. The kayak launching pad is right across the street. Access charter boats to your fishing trip are across the street. Want to book a horseback riding to Salmon Creek beach? Just walk 3 minutes to the horse departure area down the street on your right. The Harbor Cutie is .2 mile from the Secret Garden. 4-5 restaurants (Terrapin Creek Cafe, Gourmet Au Bay, Ginochios Kitchen, Fisherman's Cove, Spud Point Crab Company, etc) are all within walking distance. Hiking trail behind the home where you can hike to Salmon Creek beach in less than 30 minutes. Large front yard easy to park 2-3 cars, boats, and play. There is a 20 feet wide gate that can be rolled out to park your RV. This home is very pet, child, and family-friendly. The nice 600 square foot deck has a panoramic view of the bay/ocean.

If you would like to kayak, please bring your own kayak or call Bob at the Bodega Bay Kayak to reserve your kayak and he will bring the kayak across the street for you.

1) Yard Maintenance Notice: Our gardeners come by every Tuesday to do yard work. If you would like a heads up please let me know. They usually comes between 8-9 AM.

2)Well-behaved dogs weighing less than 50 pounds or less are allowed with the owner's prior permission. There is an additional $100 pet fee per pet. If you are bringing more than 1 pets you will be requested for an additional $ 100 pet fee. Please let the owner know if you wish to bring your dog. Maximum of 2 dogs allowed. You will forfeit your deposit should the cleaner find evidence of a pet at the property.

3) We will provide 3 rolls of Costco size toilet paper and 1 roll of paper towel, beyond that you are responsible for any amount beyond that.

4) The playhouse is reserved for children 5 feet 4 and under due to the height limit of the loft. Parental supervision is required. Please text the owner for the code to access the playhouse if your children would like to have access to the playhouse. Please make sure everything is put back to its original position when done and please remove your shoes when playing inside the playhouse since we have little hands that touch the floor.

5) Due to the recent Sonoma Ordinance regarding noise restriction imposed on all vacation rentals in the coast, please be aware of the following noise policies to avoid possible complaints from the nearby neighbors and fines by the County for noise violations:
-Quiet hours are from 10 PM to 8 AM.
-Avoid loud conversations or activities outside after 10 AM

The second cottage on left is where you will be staying .
Once you’ve made your way through the front door, you’ll find the freshly renovated kitchen, well-equipped and with everything that you might need for your stay. There is even a desk for those needing to do work during your stay .

The guest room to your left has a Full size bed for two people. Straight ahead is the living room. Enjoy a smart TV where you can log into your own accounts or a DVD player with a small collection of films. Warm yourself by the gas fireplace , play some board games or share a meal with your friends or family on the living room table.
Central heating is available as well for your comfort
The bathroom is completely renovated and modern. The master bedroom features a Queen bed and cabinets to store your things and hang your clothes during your stay. Enjoy the back deck equipped with propane BBQ grill and dining table while you take in all the views of the amazing flora and fauna !
Newly built outside is an outdoor propane fire pit with seating for 4 .
In addition to the full indoor bathroom with tub and shower, the deck also has outdoor shower with hot and cold water and for your convenience please use the shower located next to the 2 person hot tub before taking a dip. This one is cold water only.

Please leave that area open for backing up and out of the property unless you are also renting the Captain's Quarters . . The owner is usually gone during guest stays .
Park your vehicles straight ahead and in front of your cottage (second cottage from the entrance.)
Key is located inside the lockbox by the front door.

Surfscape Beach House 2 Bedroom 2 Bathroom With Secluded Beach.

Welcome to our beach house for the 'Ultimate Pacific Coast Surf Experience'. Perched atop a cliff overlooking the Pacific approximately 4 miles north of Bodega Bay. The photo's will depict views from the actual property and the beautiful coastal inspired interior. You will have your own private stairs down to a sheltered, secluded beach.

The space
The beach house is built on the bluff over looking a spectacular show of nature at her best. You will have your own private stairs down to a sheltered, secluded beach. You can have beach fun and family time exploring tide pools or a romantic, quiet picnic.

The design and construction team have kept the integrity of the seaside property with it's planked walls and raked ceiling, enhancing the beach house ambiance. Comforting neutrals, warm whites and current pops of fun color punctuate the decor. Driftwood effect ceramic floors, quartz counters and nautical theme accessories carry the beach house motif throughout.

Enjoy your own private hot tub overlooking the cliff with panoramic views of the ocean. Enjoying the sunset while enjoying spa like treatment and the complimentary Sonoma wine. After sunset stay warm outside with your private fire pit and blankets while roasting marshmallows.

This unit has a private deck with a private hot tub, firepit and lounge overlooking the ocean.

An additional lower patio area is available with lounge, chase lounge, hammock and outdoor dinning and bar all overlooking the ocean.

There is plenty of opportunities to get active, we provide fishing gear for those whom want to catch their own fish in one of California's most recognized fishing hot spots right in front of you., you can BBQ the fish on both the wood fire pit or your private gas BBQ in front of the unit. You can harvest limited amount of mussels from the rocks and make your own mussel pot. Other activities include horseback riding, hiking, golf, surfing or wind surfing.

The Pacific, west facing beach house allows you to view the surf at all times and enjoy the most breath taking sunsets, crashing surf, sea mist and bold rugged rock formations.

The great room with it's 35 foot wide wall of pacific facing windows is comfortably furnished with a log-effect fireplace and a Smart flat screen TV. Internet and free US and Canada long distance supplied for your convenience.

Dining for four at the antique table with it's captain's chairs, or at the large quartz peninsula.

All electric kitchen appliances: fast glass top range, and small appliances. Generous quartz counter work space in neutral tones and plenty of cabinet space with ambiance lighting for enhanced cooking and entertaining experience. The kitchen is well appointed for enjoying home cooked faire. Why go out when you can have the best ocean view in town with the surf as your back ground music! Enjoy your cracked crab and chardonnay at sunset with your family or special other.

Two king bedrooms and two bathrooms: the countryside facing room has views of peaceful bucolic rolling hills and a red farmhouse with it's barn. To add to your comfort we have installed a wall mounted fireplace to keep the chill off and a T.V.. It has a large en suite with a tub and shower combo. The second king has a Pacific Ocean and farm view, a wall mounted fireplace and T.V.. A quaint shower bathroom with a quartz vanity services this king room. Both bedrooms offer great privacy and are ideal for two couples.

Attention to detail for your comfort continues throughout. Plenty of towels, linens, comforters (with duvet covers changed for each guest) and quilts. Excellent Memory Foam toppers on both beds. All the mattresses and pillows have protectors and high quality pads. Two folding futon pads for extra two guest (ideal for kids and teens)

If you need more room for extended family or friends we can offer the 'Little Sister Cottage' next door: Seamist Cottage. She is our cute & cozy one bedroom/bath with a sleeping loft/two twins(ideal for kids/teens) Seamist is a smaller version of Surfscape with all the great attention to detail and comfort.

We have designed and furnished the Surfscape Beach House to create a memorable and wonderful experience that will leave you rested, renewed and ready to return again and again!
