Our home is a QUIET, peaceful home directly on the shore of Bodega Bay. The only sounds, noise we want our guests to remember are those of Bodega tides rolling in and out, birds, seals, otters and the fog horn and ocean waves crashing in the distance. Please be respectful to our neighbors and other guests. This is NOT a place to come and have a loud party. Please do not book with us if you are looking for a "party house".

Couldn’t find the step stool that helps us reach the dishes on the second shelf, so had to handwash things and reuse. Two king bedrooms and two bathrooms: the countryside facing room has views of peaceful bucolic rolling hills and a red farmhouse with it's barn. To add to your comfort we have installed a wall mounted fireplace to keep the chill off and a T.V.. It has a large en suite with a tub and shower combo. The second king has a Pacific Ocean and farm view, a wall mounted fireplace and T.V.. A quaint shower bathroom with a quartz vanity services this king room. Both bedrooms offer great privacy and are ideal for two couples.

If you need more room for extended family or friends we can offer the 'Little Sister Cottage' next door: Seamist Cottage. She is our cute & cozy one bedroom/bath with a sleeping loft/two twins(ideal for kids/teens) Seamist is a smaller version of Surfscape with all the great attention to detail and comfort.

We have designed and furnished the Surfscape Beach House to create a memorable and wonderful experience that will leave you rested, renewed and ready to return again and again!

- "Can't beat the beautiful view from the living room, outdoor patio, and hot tub. The only niggle was that I hadn't heard from the management company two days prior to check-in despite asking for the information and had to send a panicked request to VRBO. But it worked out. Kitchen is stocked with everything you'll need, prosecco on the counter was a welcome surprise, as was the wine bar. Close to the lovely Kortum trail and lots of beaches and hidden coves. Getting in an out of the parking spaces a bit dicey with oncoming highway 1 traffic so be cautious! A great deal of construction across the highway as they're building a new route for highway one but it wasn't too obtrusive. Definitely a wonderful getaway."

This beautifully remodeled coastal cutie is perfect for one or two couples (and comfortably sleeps 5 adults) who want to enjoy a comfortable and relaxing retreat. This spacious 1500 sq ft remodeled home has an open floor plan with unique tree captioned views of the the tip of north end of Bodega Bay (water is most visible from spa patio and bedroom). Bay View's decor is best described as sophisticated beach, with artwork from Sonoma Coast artists throughout the home! The home's layout allows you to visit with guests in the large updated kitchen, living/dining room, bar area, and sun room while enjoying the view of the trees surrounding the bay.

There are 2 beautifully decorated bedrooms, with queen size beds with heated mattresses. There is a spacious main bathroom with soaking tub/shower combo. private access from both bedrooms, a large granite vanity, and heated towel rack! A cozy double bed with a memory foam mattress provides additional space for an extra guest or two, and a great place to relax and enjoy the view or watch streaming movies on the 55 inch flat screen TV.

A second full bathroom, dressing area (for guests sleeping in main living area), and laundry is conveniently located off the main living space. This area also contains a large desk area with a handy electronics charging station and printer.

The 10 foot glass mosaic topped bar opens the spacious kitchen up to the 500 sq foot great room. It provides a fun place to sit and visit with the chef(s) in your group, while you enjoy a glass of Sonoma Coast wine. “Bay View” has a rare peek- a-boo view of the tip of the north end of Bodega Bay (through a valley captioned with redwoods and cypress trees) and the road to Bodega Head. The view changes constantly with boats heading out to sea during the day and returning home at night. In the evening the view is softly illuminated by fishing boats and local inns. On a clear night the sky is filled with stars to enjoy while relaxing in the spa.

Centrally located, the 'Bay View House' sits on ¼ acre at the north end of the town of Bodega Bay. Located close to the Ocean, the Bay, and Town our location provides convenience while still providing privacy and solitude. We are less than 5 minutes from almost everything Bodega Bay has to offer (ocean beaches, trails, restaurants & shops, wine tasting, horseback riding, charter boats, the bay, and Bodega Head for whale watching! There are many things to explore both on foot and by car. Sonoma County opened Chanselor Ranch, the 378 acre reserve with amazing coastal views open to the public ( located 1/2 mile from our house). Whether you spend the day exploring or just relaxing, you are sure to enjoy our cozy coastal retreat.

Guests using Instant Book must speak to the owner within 24 hours to provide all guest names and contract specifics. Guests with pets or small children please be sure to read house rules & provide info for prior approval. We always respond promptly (usually within an hour). She has carefully put together a booklet for staying here which I recommend you read immediately upon arrival. It will save you countless questions and wondering how things work, she really has thought of everything. The bedrooms are beautiful the beds very comfortable. The bathrooms have everything you could need and so does the kitchen which is super well stocked including spices, coffee, tea, popcorn, so much more. I spent most of my awake time in the naturally heated sun porch or the hot tub. The views are phenomenal and the neighborhood quiet and tree filled. My dogs loved the fully fenced grass yard while I appreciated that the yard is sloped so even during an "atmospheric river" storm, no puddles or mud at all! I just piled some of my own dog towels on the sun porch floor and let them dry their paws before coming in, so easy. The driveway/parking area also had no mud or puddles (packed gravel,) is more than big enough for two and is circular so you don't have to back out. I was blessed to have been able to stay for 10 days so utilized the very efficient washer and dryer. We spent morning at the beach letting the dogs sniff."

The Pine View Bungalow is a two bedroom, two bath home perfect for one or two couples or a small family. The house is located on scenic Highway 1 at the north end of the fishing village of Bodega Bay. It is situated at the back of a large double lot and is adjacent to our other one bedroom/one bathroom Pine View Cottage. There is a large fenced back yard. There is ample parking for your car(s) or boat(s). We welcome you and your well behaved canine.

Pine View Bungalow was completely remodeled in 2011. Upon entering the home, you will immediately notice the beautiful finishes including 14' vaulted ceilings paneled in knotty pine, the rock faced gas fireplace, the wainscot and the numerous windows that take advantage of the fantastic view. The living room is furnished with a comfortable sectional, chairs and a large coffee table perfect for laying out a puzzle or playing games. Additional amenities include free Cable TV, DVD/CD player with surround sound and high speed wireless Internet.

The first bedroom has a queen bed, vaulted knotty pine ceiling and a large sliding glass door that opens onto the back patio. There is a bath directly across the hall from this bedroom that has a tub/shower combination and also houses the stacked washer and dryer. Up two steps is the spacious master bedroom, with a cal-king bed and a sliding glass door that opens on to the patio and hot tub. Up five steps is a spa-like master bath that features a glassed in shower with a river rock floor, and a vaulted, knotty pine paneled ceiling. There is a hot water on demand system for the house that provides unlimited hot water (although we encourage water conservation).

The kitchen is fully furnished with all the equipment necessary to prepare fantastic meals. You might even use vegetables bought at the seasonal Bodega Farmer's Market or locally caught sea food, particularly dungeness crab purchased from any one of several sources within a 1/2 mile of the house.

If you enjoy cooking like we do, you may never want to leave the house, but if you choose to treat yourself to a great meal, the Michelin rated Terrapin Creek Cafe is directly across the street. There's nothing better than walking to dinner - enjoying great cuisine, drinks and dessert - and not having to get in your car!

A private covered patio runs the length of the back of the house and contains the hot tub, table and chairs and a Weber barbecue. Relax in the hot tub at night and watch the fishing boats come into the harbor, and, on the 4th of July, watch the fireworks while you soak in the tub. A patio on the side of the house has comfortable Adirondack chairs.

A short walk will take you to Porto Bodega where you can charter a fishing trip on one of the many charter boats, pick up locally caught seafood, or just explore the harbor and sample some of the best crab and clam chowder on the coast.

There are many recreational activities within a mile of the house, including golf, windsurfing, fishing, hiking, biking, kite flying, beachcombing, kayaking, bird and whale watching. Or you can explore nearby towns, such as Occidental (eat at Negri's restaurant), Freestone (Osmosis Spa is a must) and the Russian River area. Or just take a drive north on Highway 1 along the most spectacular coastline in the world. You won't be disappointed.

Shop before you hit town because the little store on hwy 1 is crazy expensive. the house is comfortable, cozy and quiet. we experienced a super moon while we were there and it was incredible to sit in the hot tub while the moon crested over the beautiful old pine trees that creak and sway with the wind. it was perfect. last time i stayed there, it was with my very elderly dog who enjoyed laying in the sun or snoozing in front of the fireplace. this time i had my young dog with me and she really enjoyed the huge, secure fenced-in yard in back of the house. bring your chuck-it for hours of fun for you and your pooch! the house is close to Spuds which is famous for it's clam chowder - both red and white. since we were so close we enjoyed Spuds quite a few times and i tried the red clam chowder for the first time and it is amazing! there is a spirit of generosity in this house. . .everything you need is there. i just love it!"

After a day of beach combing, Sonoma Coast trail hiking, crab or chowder eating, wine sipping and art collecting retire to your deck for a sunset sip and a lighting of the oceanfront fire pit on the deck. Enjoy views of the stars in the dark sky from the private hot tub. 2 bedrooms and baths are on the top floor. All beds are queen sized to help you drift away to sleep as you listen to the waves. We have resident sea lions that hang out in front of the house and can be seen frolicking throughout the day! At certain times we live on property in separate private quarters with a separate entrance. It is our part time residence. When you send an inquiry for specific dates we can tell you if we will be there at that time. Even then, you will still have the 2 beds/ 2 baths/kitchen / living room/ deck/ fire pit/ BBQ grill and hot tub all to yourselves.
WHAT YOU SHOULD KNOW: Wifi and cell signal is spotty in this area and is not guaranteed for your stay. At times there may be limited or no wifi access, which can be nice to relax and unplug sometimes. Verizon cell service typically is very strong but other carriers may not work throughout the town. To access beach you have a 1-2 minute drive, or you can walk down the driveway and down a steep hill to the sand. Please ask any questions you have before booking.

- "Myself, husband, 18mo and our dog recently stayed here for several days. The aesthetic of the home is comfortable and beautiful. The couch is great for lounging and hanging out. The dining chairs felt cheap and not the most comfortable, but the table was beautiful. Glad we read the reviews - we brought our own coffee maker (even though it's a hassle) but it was necessary because like everyone else said, they don't supply one. The toaster oven was easy to use to reheat foods, so a microwave isn't essential :). The area is quiet and peaceful. It's a perfect location - close walk to everything you'll want and need for adventuring or staying in."

This is a place for days spent collecting seashells, reading by the fire, and unwinding in the hot tub beneath star-filled skies.

This 2-bedroom, 2-bath split-level home sits a few blocks inland from Portuguese Beach, a local favorite for its golden sand, rocky headlands, and fishing from the surf and rocks. It's a wonderful setting for beach hopping up and down the Sonoma Coast and taking scenic drives on Highway 1. You'll be less than five miles north of Bodega Bay's working harbor, shops, and seafood restaurants, and seven miles south of Jenner at the mouth of the Russian River.

The house was thoughtfully outfitted for days spent in the sand, with beach chairs, towels, an outdoor shower, and a washer/dryer all on hand for your use. Returning home each afternoon, you'll be greeted by gorgeous outdoor spaces: a balcony off the living room, a patio with rocking chairs at the edge of the meadow, and a sheltered deck with a fire table - most with sweeping views that reach the ocean.

The light-filled, open-concept top level brings together a sleek kitchen (with stainless steel appliances), dining area, and living room. Linger here to enjoy the views and play board games by the fireplace, or head down to the den to find a smart TV and a classic Malm Fire Drum fireplace. The house was renovated with modern tech and energy efficiency in mind, hewing to the Sea Ranch aesthetic of good design, economy of space, and harmony with the natural environment. The hardwired, 240-volt, 48-amp Clipper Creek J Plug EV charger in the garage charges up to 46 miles of range per hour; and solar panels on the roof charge the battery that powers essential house functions in the event of a power outage. The appliances include an induction stovetop (compatible pots supplied!), while heat pump technology drives the water heater and forced-air climate control. The propane fireplaces are environmentally friendly - and starting a cozy fire requires only the push of a button. The garage has room for one sedan (no taller vehicles), and there is more than enough room for any vehicle in the driveway.

Spacious and accommodating. The negative part relates the the house itself. It is so outdated that it reminds me of my childhood home from the 1960's. It's way past time for a major remodel to stay in touch with the times, especially considering the costs involved in our rental. We had zero contact with property management so I have no comment in that regard. We did have the water heater go out one evening so no hot water in the morning but I was able to relight it in the garage with no issues. Overall, we enjoyed our stay."

The house has undergone a recent dramatic upgrade while respecting its mid-century origins. The house is owned by an architect and renowned landscape artist. Attention to detail is to be seen throughout the house. The house features maple flooring throughout, and white walls and ceilings to capture light and showcase the artwork.

The entrance courtyard features an outdoor dining deck with BBQ linked to the kitchen. The kitchen has granite counters, glass mosaic splashbacks and stainless steel appliances.

The living and dining area feature a continuous glass window 35 feet long with a panoramic view of the beach and ocean. The living room has a HDTV, DirectTV, Blu-ray player and free wi-fi throughout the house. A propane fireplace completes the comfortable ambience. The dining table is a contemporary glass table which is situated in the corner of the space with a spectacular view up the Sonoma coastline.

The house has a 30,000 BTU split air conditioner heat pump providing thermal comfort for all times and conditions.

There is a half bathroom for the use of any guests.

The two bedrooms are distinctly different in character. The ocean view bedroom has a wonderful view and opens onto a deck with reclining deck chairs. This bedroom has a bathroom en-suite.

The second bedroom is the courtyard bedroom. This bedroom features a HDTV and propane fireplace. It also has access to a private courtyard with views to the inland hills. It too has an en-suite bathroom.

On the west edge of the house is a timber deck measuring 10 feet x 25 feet. This deck has 4 Adirondack chairs surrounding a propane fire table to enjoy sunsets and the full view of the spectacular coastline.

The house has off-street parking, a Tesla charging station, and a bocce court with the best ocean view!

The house is situated next to the Sonoma State Coastal Park. This park features the Kortum trail, which is a walk along the headlands towards Jenner. Along the way, are secluded beaches accessible from the walking trail.

The house is located 1 mile north of Tides Wharf, Turn off HWY1 at Eastshore Rd at the stop sign go straight 1 more block to the 3 way split in raod, take the left turn, go over the small bridge and the house sits to your left, you can sit on the deck and look over the bay. Watch the gorgeous sunsets.

Everything you want to do is just 5 minutes away, hiking trails, kayaking or even surfing at nearby Salmon Creek UC Davis has a marine Lab that gives tours every Friday just down the road from us. If you want more to do just hop into your car and go to Point Reyes Light house, Armstrong Woods Redwoods State Park, or visit Korbel Winery. You are steps away from the party boats if you want to book a fishing trip. There are gift shops up the road that have wonderful items to look at or buy. There are several restaurants with a variety of foods and 2 coffee shops.

There are two spacious bedrooms on the second floor, with a tiered layout that ensures beautiful water views and maximum privacy. Walk up the private staircase to a large master suite with king bed, private balcony and large, walk-in shower with handcrafted subway tile.

You will have access to all areas of the house. The games, towels, linens and kitchen are for you to use; please put things back where you found them so future guests know where to find them. Extra towels and blankets are stored in the dressers and underneath the beds in the front bedroom. An ironing board and iron are kept in the master bedroom closet.

The house is across the road from the bay, but is not walking distance to a beach because Highway 1 is very busy and does not have sidewalks.

The house does not have central heating. The house has electric space heaters, as well as 2 wood burning stoves. Complimentary fire logs are provided. Please use only fire logs in the stoves. Please do not to leave the heaters on or fire logs burning when you go out. If you use the wood stoves, please clean out the stove once the ashes are cool and put them in the ash bucket.

You may park in front of the house on the parking pad, the empty lot across from the house, or on Highway 1, on the right of the road when going Northbound. The parking on Highway 1 is free and just a short walk up the driveway to the house. Please do not park on the grass yard in front of the parking pad.

We know many of you travel from far away to spend time on the coast. Please be aware that we usually cannot accommodate a late check-out request because we have professional cleaners and they clean multiple homes in the area. We will do our best to accommodate an early check-in request. If you want an early check-in, please do not ask on the day of, as we don’t want to miss your request.

Your toes will be wiggling in the sand after a quick, less than five minute walk to the Beach.

You enter the Home into an entry area to the LEFT and a Full Bath to your RIGHT with Tub/Shower. Next is the large fully equipped KITCHEN with “table for two”. To your RIGHT is the first Bedroom with Queen size bed. Next, to the LEFT is the Living Room with Flat Panel TV and propane gas fired fire place and to the RIGHT is the Dining Room Table with seating for four. Stairs, between the LR and DR area go up to the second Bedroom with King size bed. The upstairs bedroom has a door that takes you to a rooftop lookout Deck.
