The flat at the cork oak is the ideal place to stay in Petaluma. Two blocks from the train station and the river / old town, a block from Whole Foods and coffee, easy access to the freeway, but down a long private driveway in peace and quiet. The gorgeous, clean flat receives ample morning sun in the kitchen and living room for your cup of coffee or tea, while the bedroom will receive the afternoon sun.

The flat is accessed from a private entrance directly in front of your reserved parking space. There is a small yard in front of your entrance, with Adirondack chairs, a dining table, and a gas grill for this space. There is a flight of stairs to reach the flat.
Once you are in the unit, there is an open floor plan with the living room and kitchen connected. The dining area is between the two. The living room has a leather couch with a *fold out* queen bed. This bed has wood slats for head and torso, but due to the thinner mattress common to a fold out bed, it is best for smaller persons and children. There is a 55 inch 4k flat screen TV in this room connected to a roku box. There are several free channels with films, news, family programs, etc available on the roku, or just log in with your preferred on-demand service. Internet is via wifi, which is connected to a 1 Gbs fiber-optic service from Sonic.
The bathroom has a larger shower, sink with vanity cabinet, and is stocked basic supplies for your convenience.
The bedroom contains a King sized bed with a comfortable Avocado brand organic mattress, as well as a closet with some hangers, suitcase stands, etc.

- "Frank did a great job preparing the space for our arrival. It was very clean and had everything we needed. Although because it was a second story apartment/condo, it was a little hot when we arrived. But he had two portable air conditioning units and fans that we used that brought the temperature in our bedroom down considerably. The only thing we should have noted that wasn't present was a washer and dryer. Again, we should have notice this in the listing so our fault. Built in 1870, our Fair Street Retreat is part of one of the oldest houses in Petaluma. We are located just 3 blocks from Downtown Petaluma. This rustic, cozy cabin (we call it "The Cabin" aka the "Love Shack") at Stemple Creek Ranch in West Marin is delightful. This cabin is a refurbished old bunkhouse with a full bathroom with an antique claw foot tub/shower, kitchenette with a small sink, 2 burner gas stove, and small refrigerator, a loft for sleeping (queen-sized bed and twin bed), pull-out couch downstairs (queen sized bed - very good quality pull out couch, very comfortable), and a private deck with a BBQ and outdoor seating.

The cabin is just a few miles away from the town of Tomales, just off Highway 1 (Shoreline Highway), and a great home base for exploring Marin or Sonoma Counties.

Stemple Creek Ranch is in the heart of the cheese, wine, oysters, and coastline of both Marin and Sonoma Counties. Visitors love to go kayaking, hiking, and enjoy the local wine, oysters, and cheese.

There is plenty of parking at the cabin. There is no public transportation in the area, a car is required for getting around.

Generally, Verizon and AT&T cell service works fine. We have satellite-based wifi on the ranch.

- "Beautiful place. The cabin slept 5 comfortably. There was not a microwave which was not a problem for us. We used the toaster oven and the two stove burners for what we needed. I was excited to take a bath in the clawfoot tub, but it was a little more rustic than expected. Spider webs and a few spiders, no tub stopper and water was restricted anyway so I opted out on that. Shower was perfectly adequate. I can't say enough about the charm and beauty of this place. The nights were cool and comfortable for our June stay. The views of birds, flowers and cattle were wonderful. We didn’t want to leave. I hope to return!"

Our weekend experience was incomparable...had we stayed at a hotel resort we would've been isolated in our own rooms and had meals in public areas whereas this way we bought our own groceries and had every meal together in our private 'home.' Charming craftsman style bungalow on a large private lot. We use the house when it is not rented, so it is comfortably furnished and very well equipped. House was built in 1913 by the original owners, and I am the second owner. There are many original details, home has not gone through any extensive remodels. There is no dishwasher.

House is very quiet and there is lots of outdoor space (but it is not fenced in).
Property is listed as a two bedroom home; there is a third bed available in an attic loft which is accommodating, but has a low ceiling and is not connected to the main house heat source. If you plan to use the loft space, please inquire for more details to ensure your expectations will be met.

We've had a few comments that the beds are firm- which is the way we like them, but thought it would be good to call that out here to ensure your comfort; if it's pillow-top you're after then our home may not be the best choice for you. Happy to provide more details upon request.

Petaluma is considered the gateway to the wine country and is a half hour to Point Reyes and the ocean. My home is walking distance to the beautiful historic downtown. No transportation needed, all restaurants, bars, grocery stores, shops, theaters all within a few short blocks.

Welcome to Wine Country! Our home is walking distance to downtown Petaluma, kayaking, local shops and restaurants. We are a 45 minute drive north of San Francisco at the entrance of both the Napa and Sonoma wine regions. You’ll love coming home and relaxing in a newly renovated 1947 bungalow complete with cozy fireplace, hardwood floors, claw-foot tub, outdoor gas fire-pit and modern kitchen. Our place is perfect for couples, singles and business travelers who desire the comforts of home.

The house is a single level 2bd/1ba 1300 sqft home in the historic east side of Petaluma. It is an open floor plan where the living room, dining room and kitchen are all connected. The TV room is separated by sliding 1920's glass doors which open on to the living room. The house has Heat/AC unit in addition to the gas stove in the living room and ceiling fans throughout.

The backyard has a patio, built in gas fire pit and outdoor seating to relax in.

The master bedroom has a queen size sleigh bed, vaulted ceilings with exposed beams and patio doors to the backyard. The guest bedroom has a custom made queen size murphy bed with an organic cotton queen size mattress.

The bathroom has an antique 5 1/2 foot long claw-foot tub for a nice soak or to stand in for a modern shower. Shampoo/Conditioner, hand soap, linens and hair dryer are provided.

There are hardwood floors throughout the house, a farm sink and dishwasher in the kitchen. Both Whole Foods and Sprouts are within walking distance for meals prepared at home, and the best bar in Petaluma (Mario & John's) and the best taqueria in town (El Roy's) are just a couple of blocks away.

We have a safe and friendly neighborhood just steps from the river and historic downtown Petaluma.

Getting around:
We are walking distance from the Sonoma Airport Express bus which has a depot at the fairgrounds on Payran and East Washington less than 1 mile away. This makes it easy to fly into SFO or OAK , hop on the shuttle and be dropped off 2 blocks from our doorstep.
Local buses, taxi's and uber's are also available as needed.

Other things to note:
Our home is an eclectic mix of home furnishings, some are antiques over 100 years old. We love these items and hope you will too.

NOTE: As of December 2019 a second home has been added to the property and is seated at the back edge of the backyard. A permanent renter resides in the second home however they do not have access to the main house, the patio, yard or any other facilities being rented as part of the Air B&B property. The main house and surrounding outdoor areas including carport, patio, outdoor kitchen and garden remain private and for the use of the Air B&B guests only.

Unit E is our newest 2 bedroom unit in the Petaluma Warehouse Collection, there are 3 other units on the property, so this is an excellent location for housing for weddings and events. very stylish, ada compliant. Well furnished with a cool, well stocked kitchen. Great location close to downtown Petaluma. The unit is Over 1000 square feet, split air air conditioning both in the living area, which cools the whole place, and an additional unit upstairs in the loft bedroom.

The Carriage Loft is light, airy and bright with an energizing and relaxing feel. Completely remodeled and refurbished in 2021. The Loft is incredibly clean, all kitchen/bath items, linens, beds, sheets and towels are brand new, and great care is taken to ensure proper sanitation and thorough cleaning.

Once a Victorian farmhouse on the edge of Petaluma, the property was built in the 1890's, was home to a prominent early Petaluma family and in the 1990's was a fully operating bed and breakfast. Our loving restoration of the Carriage Loft respects its history with the modern luxury of a boutique hotel.

Just 7 blocks from downtown, all the great shops and amazing restaurants on Petaluma are just a short walk.

The bedroom: a luxury boutique bedroom, sleep in the dreamy gold California king bed on a Stearns and Foster mattress. The unique design is part studio, part bedroom - a half wall gives privacy from the kitchen area and a great sense of space to your sleeping area. My place is close to restaurants and dining, art and culture, and the beach. You’ll love my place because of the remodeled modern look, and beautiful kitchen and baths. Neighborhood is safe and clean, and only 15min. to the wine country, and 20min. to the beach.. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, and business travelers.

Restaurants are plentiful and easy and close access. Living room is available, but again, I rarely see anyone wanting to relax there. Folks that come here are on the go to work, play and winetasting.

The house is 3 bedroom 2 bath with a fully functional kitchen and Washer/Dryer you can use. There is also a good sized newly remodeled yard and outdoor space with a SunSetter Awning (If you can't get behind the joys of the SunSetter Awning this may not work :) The house has an open floor plan with two big living spaces including a Swedish fireplace and central heating. The bedroom and bathroom available to you are small-ish but fully remodeled as of March 2021. The room available does have a brand new king bed and 50 inch smart T.V you can sign into your cable/tv apps or use the account already attached. The bathroom is used by only you or your potential guests of the house. I am able to provide any amenities you may need from linens, toilet paper, towels, soaps, shampoos or you can bring your own. I do have a second Queen bedroom available with a 43 inch Smart TV. (If two people are traveling together and want separate rooms in the same space, I could open that listing up if you're looking to stay together).

During your stay
I do live in the house full-time and I work outside the house 12pm-10pm Wednesday-Friday for the County of Sonoma. I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist who works on a County Mental Health Crisis Response Team. Essentially I respond to Mental Health Crisis calls in the community and sometimes with with Law Enforcement. I also live with my 60 pound dog who is a people loving Pit mix. He will want you to pet him :) I live a fairly quiet life hiking around the area, cooking/eating the good foods, and drinking the good beers Nor Cal has to offer. I consider myself an Ambivert. I'll be available for anything you may need and you can use any part of the house.

Built in 1870, our Fair Street Retreat is located in one of the oldest houses in Petaluma. FYI Our studio is not for you if you want to "PARTY". No loud music-bring your earphones! You can park on the street in front of the house or between G & H on 2nd facing north. The driveway is shared with the neighbors therefore, please do not park here. Turn to go towards the main house which will lead you to some steps with your private entrance (see photos for a better reference).

Other things to note
This is a place to relax in solitude — guests looking to party or be loud might find better suited spots elsewhere.

Pets & children reside in this property therefore you may hear the sweet howling of a dog or laughter of children.

Petaluma is a quiet town in the evening & noise travels easily. Please keep voices down at night when outside.

We love and appreciate our neighbors. It feels very much like a community here. We'd like to keep it that way and invite you to respect that.

We recommend arriving in daylight if possible to meet your host and settle in. If you plan to arrive late at night let us know so that we can give you some tips.

There are sensor lights down the driveway toward the end of the house prior to the gate entrance.

We live and work from home. We share a wall with the guest cottage. There's a door between the spaces, which we keep locked on both ends during your stay.

You'll have full privacy. However, you might spot us outside taking care of the property or gardening.

The cottage does NOT have a kitchenette (no Refridgerator). The space is 2 blocks from the closest restaurant & coffee shop to enjoy eating & dining nearby. I provide a gift card to Petaluma Coffee & Tea company (except guests Saturday-Sunday since the tea company is closed) for every stay & have filtered water & glass for you.

The main home and cottage do not have AC. There is a personal fan for the space for the summer months and space heater or radiant heater available for winter months.

The guest suite was not designed to welcome infants, couples or pets. Please note this is the best arrangement for this space & for our guests positive 5 ⭐️experience.

The Petaluma Victorian Garden Apartment is on the ground floor of a 1880s Victorian home. Petaluma’s historic downtown is only 5 blocks away from this private solar powered one bedroom apartment. You can also shop at the nearby Petaluma Premium Outlet shopping mall. Petaluma is centrally located to world class wineries in Sonoma and Napa Valleys and the beautiful Sonoma and Marin coasts. San Francisco is also easily accessed using nearby freeways or public transportation.

The space
Inside the gated entrance is your private outdoor space that includes a patio table, lounge area, and a BBQ. The apartment is a cozy one bedroom with a full bathroom (no tub). The bedroom has a queen size bed and an armoire that provides plenty of storage. The kitchen includes a cooktop (no oven), full size refrigerator, microwave, toaster, sink, and Keurig coffee maker. Pots, pans, glasses, plates, and silverware are also provided. The living room includes an HDTV that is controlled by Roku/Sling. WiFi access is also provided.

Parking on the street is available.

The space
Located in beautiful Sonoma county in northern California. Petaluma is 30 minutes to the Pacific, 45 minutes north of San Francisco and a short drive to wine country. We are a 15 minute walk to downtown shops, great antique stores, restaurants and theater. This is a great getaway for your Northern California escape.

The house is large and gives a lot of privacy in the upstairs where you have a double size bed and a separate bathroom. Our neighborhood is great for walks with charming architecture to take in and a park just around the block.

There is much to do locally like walking by the Petaluma River and marshes at Shollenberger Park, great coffee shops, Petaluma Outlets plus many other activities close by and we'll be happy to make recommendations.

Our rooms are compliant with Petaluma's Transient Occupancy Tax (10%) Regulations under License #(request this number by email if needed). We have to request this fee through Airbnb after booking because Airbnb does not have an agreement with Petaluma to collect the fee up front.

Our studio is only a few blocks from the heart of Petaluma. The Theatre District, Petaluma Market, and a myriad of local restaurants are all a 10 to 15 minute walk from your doorstep.

We have two kids of our own (3 and 4) and we've set up the space to be comfortable for families traveling. There is ample space for everyone to spread out with a queen bed, 2 full size futons, and a crib included in the space.

The space
The studio is a street facing basement unit, so there is a good deal of road noise and the sound of our children's feet can be heard from about 6:30am to 8:00pm. So, in the spirit of full disclosure, we do not recommend the space for the noise sensitive. We try to be as quiet as possible when guests are present, but with a 3 and 4 year old upstairs it generally isn’t that quiet. We've had many guests stay and genuinely not mind the noise, but we've also had about 5 guests find it distracting enough to let us know.

On the positive side, the unit is in a wonderful location and all downtown Petaluma has to offer is in walking distance. We walk to the river, grocery store and restaurants almost every day.

The unit has a kitchen, full bathroom, wifi, Smart TV. Sleeping accommodations include a very comfortable queen size mattress, 2 full size futons and a crib! It's a studio, but it's quite spacious at over 500 square feet.

We don't offer parking on our property, but there is ample street parking right in front of our house. The unit is a basement apartment with a separate entrance from the main house. It is totally independent.

We love animals and are one of the few hosts in Petaluma allowing pets to stay. However no pets are to left alone on the premises at any time.

Please turn off lights, heat/ or fans when you are leaving the premises for the day and when checking out. PGE is very expensive in California!

Find peace and quiet right in town. Our guest house is located at the end of a long property, far from the street, yet just a 5 block walk to the heart of downtown. It's a perfect place to spend evenings after exploring Point Reyes, wine country, or the Sonoma Coast.

The space
The garden studio is at the very end of our property, far from the street noise and slightly elevated with a bit of a view of the surrounding hills. We live on the premises in the main house and we also have a detached office and music studio on the property. We're generally around and have two small children, but the studio is removed enough that it feels very private and secluded.

Guest access
Guests will have complete access to the studio, patio and sauna and the path leading up to the studio. The studio does not have a kitchen, but there is a a basic kitchenette that includes a microwave, kettle, coffee maker and fridge.

Other things to note
Parking is on the street, so guests must walk through our car gate and all the way up the driveway to the back studio. It's about a one minute trip and the property is rather steep, so this should be taken into account. There are no stairs, just a long sloping driveway and path.

We recommend parking close to the curb as we do live on a busy street. If you're uncomfortable parking on the main road in front of our property, Upham St. runs perpendicular to us and is very quiet and has ample parking.

The space
Comfortable, nice and clean. The patio, by the garden, has table, chairs and chaise. Quiet and peaceful. This is a kid-friendly room and there's room in the backyard for kids to run around. The room is comfortable for two adults but I've had three and it's OK. It's pretty easy to add a child or two on the futon, which you can up-end during the day for more space.

Also, the double bed is a standard width and length and, because there is a footboard, it may not be long enough for a super-tall person.

I am calling this a studio apartment because it is a separate living space with private entrance and attached bathroom but it does not have an actual kitchen.

This downstairs unit is self-contained, with microwave, mini-fridge, coffeemaker, electric tea kettle and complementary snack bars and popcorn and a Brita to filter your water, if you like. It’s potable anyway. There is no kitchen sink so, if you use dishes, please give them to me and I’ll wash for you. Washer/drier are not in the unit itself, but are upstairs and we can easily work that out, if you need it.

I have a HEPA air purifier. Also, I indicated that there is computer work space - To clarify - there's a table and chair but it isn't an office chair and "real"
desk. It's OK for average computer-time but you probably wouldn't write a
novel here!
You're welcome to bring your child or two or extra adult(s). I have a couple futons. My cats are indoor only and restricted to my part of the house but occasionally have dashed into the guest room and I've had a few dog-guests so the room is not guaranteed to be allergen-free. P.S. My daughter is in my profile picture but she doesn't live here; you've got her "old" room. I've indicated a 3 PM check-in and a noon check-out but I'm flexible and will work with your schedule. We live on one of the prettiest streets in Petaluma. Great hiking, and walking in Helen Putnam park, and Schollenberg bird sanctuary, biking, outlet shopping and just walking around. Tree lined and filled with wonderful old houses there is also a great little park (with a labyrinth to walk) at the top of the street. Plus you can walk downtown!

I've been instructed by the City of Petaluma of my need to collect a ten percent hotel tax. You will receive a request which can arranged through the resolution center prior to your visit.

The space
This private bedroom/bathroom unit has its own entrance through the side gate and sliding glass door. It is attached to our larger home, where one wall is shared with our house, so you may hear some noise when we are at home/in the kitchen. We can only accommodate two adults, but message if you'd like to bring a child (we have a pack n play and a memory foam that can be used as a floor mattress)

High ceilings, lots of light, a king size bed and two person soaking bath tub in a large and luxurious bathroom. Shared patio.

The unit does not have a kitchen but has a hot water heater for tea/coffee, mini fridge and microwave. Located in a quiet and safe neighborhood with restaurants close by.

No shoes in the home please :)

Entrance is through the side gate to the left of the driveway and guests have access to a private entrance through a sliding glass door. Inside is a large master bedroom and bathroom and a shared patio outside.

We have a cat on premises (she goes by the name Quan yin and is very friendly) a 2 year old (also friendly but shy with new people) and we hear occasional airplanes from municipal Petaluma airport

We are available on-site and happy to answer any questions, as well as give suggestions ranging from: the local coffee roaster, to our favorite olive oil tasting room, to where the closest Michelin star restaurant is (4 blocks away), to the best place to get a mud bath! Just ask!

Private studio guest cottage in lovely and vibrant Petaluma. In the heart of Sonoma County just 25 minutes from Sonoma and Napa and 45 minutes from San Francisco. Less than a block from old downtown Petaluma with outstanding restaurants and music venues. The small cottage has many windows and is newly renovated. Beautifully decorated with a very comfortable plush yet firm queen sized bed. Guaranteed on-street parking in front of property. Dogs only.

The space
There is no kitchen in the studio guest cottage but there is a small refrigerator as well as a Keurig for coffee, electric kettle, toaster, and microwave. There are many wonderful restaurants within a block from the house.

The space
The Gray Door is a private suite in a completely refurbished home in quiet West Petaluma. The home is centrally located half a mile from restaurants, shops and downtown Petaluma. The suite has wood floors, a very comfortable queen bed, its own separate, and a private entrance off a deck to enjoy a cup of coffee or read a book. Friendly hosts are happy to answer questions and/or provide local suggestions.

THE SUITE:
We provide our guests a cozy Queen bed and bright bathroom with sky light. Two chairs with a fold down table offer a place to start the morning with a fresh cup of coffee or tea. It also comes complete with a work space, built-in drawers, cabinets, refrigerator, tea pot, coffee maker, TV and more.

THE OUTSIDE SPACE:
There is a very cozy & lush patio space that is perfect for quiet coffee or reading a book. This space is shared with the main house.

PARKING:
We have a designated spot for guests to park.

SURROUNDING AREA:
Our home is only a five block walk (half a mile) to lively downtown shops, restaurants, brew pubs, music venues, and the river. This is the perfect place to stay for a few days on business, to attend a workshop, to enjoy your weekend or for a long term stay in historic Petaluma!
