Our three bedroom vacation rental is about 30 miles from San Francisco, Wine County, and Pacific Ocean. There are King, Full, and two Twin beds with hotel-quality linens, closets and dressers. Living room has sofa-sleeper for one more guest. Wine country is only 30 minutes away. San Francisco and Oakland also only 30 minutes away.

We, the Kaplan family, are looking for a nice, responsible family to rent our home for select dates! We have a roomy, kid friendly home, located in a water community with large backyard including garden, pool, dock, 2 man kayak,all on Novato creek We are located in Novato California, ½ hour from beautiful San Francisco, the coast, Muir woods, and the Napa Valley! The house has four bedrooms (2 ½ bathrooms) which include 2 single beds, 1 double and 2 queen beds…there are three couches in the house and an elevated single inflatable bed that could be used for a larger group. Watch free Netflix movies on the home theater system or sing songs around our 1923 Ludwig baby grand piano. Or simply enjoy just relaxing and reflecting in our lovely home. We are definitely set up for people with kids…tons of toys, books, scooters, and bikes! We have great neighbors and could connect your family with locals to give you a non-touristy experience.

- "The house is so awesome for kids of all ages, so much to do! Though the pool is open and the house is on a water way, so children who can not swim need to be watched at all times. Great for parents who want to have a wonderful home base that you don’t need to go on excursions to entertain you kids constantly. You can just sit back and watch them have fun! That said the owners kids are definitely grown so there might some minor cobweb clean up and trampoline hose down. I actually got permission to do some hedge trimming to make way for thier zip line 😂. I would like to note that the laundry is shared but there is a lockable door to the laundry area. We were there in summer so the pool not being heated was a non issue. The pool was warmer than most heated pools I’ve been in when we were there in mid July. The owners were helpful and personable. There was only 1 parking spot available and you can only park across the street after that but it never was much of a problem finding parking for my family who visited. We had a great time and would totally recommend!!!"

Welcome to our lovely, quiet neighborhood. Make yourself at home in your spacious room, on a very comfortable bed, with access to the kitchen and other common spaces.

The space
Your artsy bedroom is the only room on the second floor. Enjoy a peaceful night on the queen-size, memory foam mattress. There is a large desk that faces the backyard garden, an armoire for your clothes, and a collection of games for your enjoyment. There is no door, but the room is visually private (see photos). The carpeted stairs and room provide for a quiet stay. Your bathroom is at the bottom of the stairs and has plenty of towels and supplies for your comfort.

Guest access
Please feel free to enjoy our kitchen, dining room, living room, and backyard patio and garden (see photos). When they're in season, we'd love to share our homegrown peaches, tomatoes, and other garden goodies with you. If you need to do a load of laundry, there is a washer and dryer available.

During your stay
We look forward to meeting you. Madeline is a retired elementary school teacher who loves to hike. Mark is a retired custodian from the local high school, and he is an avid golfer. We also enjoy eating out and exploring the beauty and wonders of the North Bay. Just ask, and we'll be happy to help you plan your stay.

Other things to note
Mark makes a killer cup of coffee, and will have a pot ready every morning. We also have assorted teas available.

You will have one flight of stairs to climb to get to your room.

When we are home, we watch TV in the evening and sometimes on the weekend days. You are welcome to join us. And, of course, you can watch the TV when we are not watching. When you are in your room, you may hear it very faintly. If it is too loud, please let us know. We usually turn it off around 9:30-10:00.

The space
The room with the full size bed has large closet, a full desk, office chair, WiFi, & TV with streaming service. Perfect for the solo business traveler or cozy couple. There is also just enough space on the floor for another single person on the air mattress, but it is very tight! The other room is 9'X10.5' with the queen size bed, TV and small closet. Private bathroom has door between toilet and sink, which is great for privacy, but makes it a tight space for very large people. I offer breakfast every morning at a mutually agreed upon time, so let me know if you have any food allergies, or if you are vegan. I generally serve vegetarian, coffee/tea, yogurts, granola/cereal, and fruit.

The kitchen is available to warm up food in the microwave and/or toaster oven. Help yourself to plates, flatware, and cups. Kitchen is NOT available for cooking full meals, as this is a shared kitchen with the family of the home. We have multiple pieces of exercise equipment, including ZAAZ, foam roller, rowing machine, etc. Guests really enjoy the back yard deck tables and chairs with views of the water and East Bay hills. Yoga mat available upon request. Indoor ping pong table too!

During your stay
I would like to know if you have any food restrictions or allergies, so I can tailor your breakfast items to foods you can eat and enjoy. I usually serve coffee/tea, yogurts, granola/cereal, and fruit. Other items such as muffins may also be available. I am always available via text to my phone, or in person when I am home. Never hesitate to let me know how I can make your stay more comfortable. I seek to give you a 5 star experience, and want to know while you are here if I am falling short of that at any point.

Other things to note
All bedrooms are upstairs and we have steps in and out of the entry way, so this is not a good place for anyone who is not comfortable with stairs. Street shoes, food, and drink all stay downstairs please! We are very environmentally respectful, conservative with our water/energy use, and we recycle, and compost!. Please join us in protecting our planet. Be efficient with your showers and never let the sink water run unless you are actively using it.

As listed, this is a private bedroom with use of 2 bathrooms. The upstairs one next to your room is totally private but my daughter or I may use the downstairs one on occasion. The rest of the home is shared with me, my daughter (sometimes), and our 2 dogs. We go out of our way to insure your comfort and relaxation, and frequently guests say they feel immediately "at home" like they are with old friends. We are always open to questions and suggestions, so please feel free to communicate with us. Our 5 star rating is something we worked hard to get and want to keep! Thanks for booking with us!

Walk out of your room onto a deck overlooking redwood trees and a spacious yard.

Guests will have the master bedroom and master bath to themselves. You will have a private entrance. There is no access to the main house unless otherwise arranged. No Kitchen or Laundry. Your room has a breakfast bar and mini fridge. This bedroom is attached to main living quarters where we live but is completely separate and door between your space and main house is closed and locked. You can come and go as you please as your area is private with it's own private entrance.

My house is located near downtown Novato in a safe single-family home neighborhood.

You'll be centrally located , about 30-40 minutes, to lots of great visitor destinations, such as Napa or Sonoma wine country, the Golden Gate Bridge and San Francisco, Oakland, Berkely, Sausalito, Muir Woods, the West Marin coast line and Pacific Ocean, the Cheese Trail, etc.

Or, if you're here for business, you'll be a short ten-minute walk to Grant Avenue where there are lots of shops and restaurants. And finally, a half-block away is a strip shopping center with a CVS drugstore, a burger joint, a taqueria, an Indian place, and a donut shop. Nothing fancy but definitely convenient.

The entire guest quarters and bathroom are yours. The backyard is shared, but your room opens up onto the side yard where I won't usually need go during your stay. *Note...you will be staying in the master bedroom in my home, but your room is locked off from the rest of the house for mutual privacy. The artist created suite is surrounded by flora and fauna gardens behind a quiet bungalow home. Though the property feels like it is in its own little world, it's just off Hwy.101 with easy access (within a half hour) to Wine Country, Coastal attractions, San Francisco, Sausalito, Berkely, Mt. Tamalpais, Muir Woods, and Sonoma Raceway. Walking distance to groceries and restaurants.
We will do our best to accommodate your needs for the most pleasant and memorable stay, but please refrain from smoking of any kind inside the Cottage, and ONLY at the firepit in the yard.

This is a magical place and I strive for a extraordinary experience for everyone who stays here, but please understand this is my home, I do not have a hotel staff, and I have my own business outside of Airbnb. After 7 enlightening and fulfilling years, I have adapted and evolved this space to better accommodate guests, make it more self reliant for times I am not here, and still retain use of my own house. However, for a small (but always to me significant) percentage of guests, that has not been satisfactory, so I feel I must clarify a few things. The rate you are quoted is for a night stay in the Cottage. The yard, fire pit, grill, and hot tub are shared space to which you have access (not guaranteed, just like rides at Universal!). The hot tub is a popular attraction, people have had great experiences with it so I continue to offer it as an extended feature to your stay. It is regularly maintained, but if a previous guest misuses it, or it is being fickle ( as it is older with a temperamental thermostat ), or for some reason it is not in perfect condition for your use, I am terribly sorry, but I cannot guarantee servicing it daily after every one night stay. There are detailed instructions for its use, and troubleshooting to assist in a hopefully successful soak. The gardens are my passion, but also dependent on my time and availability, seasonal variance, and potential projects in process.. unfortunately the fairies do not work through the night like Disneyland! Obviously I feel compelled to rationalize expectations because these "extras" have tarnished a few visits, and stressed me out, and I would like to avoid that for all parties. Above all, I strive for perfection for every visitor, but realistically, at a rate less than an local hotel, and as it's my personal residence and I'm the sole caretaker thereof, it is not always possible. This place offers an unimaginable delight to those open to receiving a potentially unexpected experience, however, for those used to "starched and pressed" and manicured, reserving a hotel room might be a better fit.

The front driveway is for guest parking. With an hour or so notice, the hot tub can be ready for a soak. There is wood and a firepit for a bonfire, and a table in the courtyard for dining. Inside the Cottage there is a hot pot for tea, coffee pot, a microwave, toaster oven, mini frig and various kitchen items. A chef's choice garden inspired breakfast is available for $13 each upon request/ availability. When the Teri is home, the studio is open for viewing.

Vic’s hideaway is the lower level of a private home perched on the hillside with a large deck and spectacular views of the Petaluma river valley and hills of Sonoma. The spacious bedroom has a king bed and TV, and a leather couch with ottoman.

The kitchenette has a refrigerator, toaster oven, microwave, Cuisinart coffee maker, and an induction hot plate. Cookware, dishes, flatware, and whatever else you need for meal prep and on-site dining are provided.

During your stay
Tell me your food restrictions or allergies, so I can tailor your breakfast items. I usually offer coffee/tea, yogurts, granola/cereal, and fruit. Other items such as muffins may also be available. Throughout your stay, if you have any questions, I am available in person or by phone/text. Usually I can give you a lot of flexibility on check-in, check-out times, but I do request you check in no later than 9pm so I can show you around the house and make sure you have access to everything you need. Feel free to ask me for a late check out, as I am happy to accommodate you whenever I can.

Other things to note
Be conservative with water and energy use. Be efficient with your showers and never let the sink water run unless you are actively using it. Turn off the fans and lights when not in use. All bedrooms are upstairs and we have steps in and out of the entry way. Upstairs bathroom is private for your use only. It has a full spacious shower but the access space is a bit tight and not comfortable for extremely large people. Street shoes, food, and drink is never allowed on the carpets (upstairs)! Be careful not to mar the antiques, and please always use coasters. KEEP LIQUIDS AND DAMP TOWELS/SWIM SUITS IN BATHROOM ONLY.

This space is very compact and efficient. You can enjoy inside or sit outside in the garden or in your private patio area. Small closet, bathroom, queen size Murphy bed, kitchenette; microwave, refrigerator/ freezer with ice maker, kurig machine, toaster, induction hot plate, hot water kettle, grilling tools. The grill is propane and has a side burner.

Great launching point to Napa & Sonoma Wine Country, the Sonoma Raceway (about 10 mins), San Francisco, and the Giant Redwoods and beaches.

There is off street parking for one car (no street parking allowed for short-term rentals per city ordinance), heated spa, bbq grill, digital cable, internet, heating and air conditioning.

Please only two guests maximum (infants not included). There is only one queen sized bed, and no room for another bed or cot. Please adhere to safety rules of the Murphy bed, detailed in "house rules". I do have a Graco Pack 'n Play that will fit if the chair is moved. Please request this in advance if needed.

If you want any tips or suggestions just ask, was born and raised in the area, there is a lot to see and do here. You are welcome to join in a glass of wine, or keep to yourself. It is all up to you. You have a private entrance to the yard, so no need to alert anyone to your presence if you wish.

Very nice 3br, 2ba house in very convenient location in Novato. There's a market/shopping center with restaurants within walking distance, and 10 minutes from Downtown (lot of fun stores & Good Restaurants), Highway 101, and Shopping Center. Also 30 minutes to either San Francisco, the Wine Country, or the Ocean (Point Reyes, Inverness, Tomales Bay).

House is very comfortable, cozy, fully equipped, very clean, nicely furnished, and can accommodate a family of 5, or one or two couples nicely.

The space
The rooms are moderate to spacious in size, very clean and feature the original hardwood floors and tile work in excellent condition. Furnished in authentic mid-century decor. All lighting and plumbing fixtures are updated with new throughout. Brand new air conditioning as of June 2022. Keeps the house very cool even on 100+ degree days. Feel free to take a nature hike right out back on the hill. It leads to a ridge that elevates to 460 feet a half-mile out, and features amazing views across town and across the Bay. The photos from atop the hill only show from directly above the house at 90 feet, it gets much better the higher you go. On full moon nights, the moon reflects on the bay water.

The home is located one block off of Hwy 101 in a beautiful neighborhood. There are 4 shopping centers within a 6-minute drive with historic Old Town Novato 3 minutes away. It's the perfect combination of convenience to the highway and shopping and yet there is open space and hiking/biking trails that make you forget you're in a town. There is ample parking at the house, including parking right at the porch steps. Parking around town is moderate to plentiful.

The space
Your private unit is upstairs on the second floor with exterior stair access. Please watch your step. Beautiful quiet reading corner in the garden with nature view and humming birds flying by. Feel free to try the delicious fruits. Guest also have private deck to relax. A private fully equipped unit within 2 miles to nearest bus stop, 2.5 miles to downtown Novato station. SF is 40 mins or 29 miles by car. Napa wine county is 33 mins drive. Whole foods is 5 mins drive.

Our newly remodel home was built for guests to arrive and relax. Novato is a safe and quiet city filled with friendly neighbors and a small-town feel.

The Spanish style home is centered between Sonoma County (north) and San Francisco (south). Enjoy two large bedrooms, one bath, kitchen and dining room.

Located right off the highway 101, we have Nugget market 2 minutes away, Marin Country Club next door.

The entirety of the house has been newly remodeled. The guest house has full privacy with its own separate entrance. Convenient parking in front of home.

This cozy 2-bedroom in-law unit is nestled in a quiet Novato neighborhood just minutes from Hwy 101, with hiking trails on the gorgeous Mount Burdell nearby. This unit has a private entrance, full kitchen, private hot tub, wood burning stove in the master bedroom & a cozy couch & seating area in the TV room. There is a shared wall with the homeowners, so you may hear muffled sounds from overhead/next door.

The space
This lovely, 2-bedroom unit with private bathroom has lots of sun from Spring through Fall. The Master and Small bedrooms are on opposite ends for privacy, with comfy new beds in each! A new Kitchen merges with the TV room for a nice communal gathering spot! Hardwood floors throughout make this a dog- friendly home. There is an extra $75 fee per stay for pups so please include them during your booking process.

NOTE for larger groups- the only outdoor entrance to the unit is through the master bedroom sliding door.

Guests have full use of this private duplex, private hot tub, and private yard, with shared laundry in the garage between 10am-2pm on Mon-Fri. Please let us know ahead of time when you'd like to do laundry so we can open the garage for you.
