Walking distance to shopping, restaurants, antiques, spa, night life, kayak and paddle-board rentals, fishing, tea room, bank, library, park, waterfront... Home has a lot of character, full kitchen and Laundry. CLEAN, comfy beds, clean home and fresh linens. Internet and cable TV, games, books. BBQ and table seating in the patio. Also on the property is a cottage that can sleep 4. Garden cottage is also listed on HomeAway. Another option is a Disney theme play house down the brick path, $30 per day additional fee. Close to I 80 and 680. 38 miles to San Francisco, 24 miles to Napa Valley, 130 miles to Monterey & Carmel California, 12 miles to Concord, Walnut Creek is just beyond Concord, Yosemite 210 miles, Lake Tahoe 174 mile. The Mountains are about 2.5 to 3 hours away great skiing, hiking, bike riding, lake, waterfalls, horse back rentals... and the coast is less than an hour away Beautiful scenic drive up and down the coast. Just a note to bring jackets summer and winter the weather in California can range a lot in a few miles. Winter months are our rainy season, but we get periodic fog by the coast in summer.

Favorite places to go:
Our new favorite thing to do is owl watching at the playground just after sunset. There are white owls living in the trees there and can also be seen by the house away from the lights.
Down Town Benicia is a favorite historic patriotic town. A Main St Town, has weekend events such as music and art festivals, classic car shows, farmers market on Thursday afternoon...
Benicia was the second capital of California with the Capital building museum off of First Street, Yacht club, waterfront fishing, shops, salons, spas, gym, cafes, antique shops, restaurants, chapel, play ground... and public pool and tennis next block. All of these are in walking distance.
Carmel by the Sea:
so quaint, European Type town where there are no house numbers only street addresses. Charm everywhere. One of California's Missions still in service with Sunday mass there. A stroll down Ocean Drive will take you by shops, cafes and restaurants and down the street to a sand hill with the Pacific Ocean at the bottom where you can sit and watch dolphins, sea lions and occasional migrating whales. Definite place to spend the entire day or weekend. Just next town is Monterey, and Pacific Grove, lots of nature all around you, deer are comely seen at the Pebble Beach golf coarse and in the neighboring streets, water wade pools to explore by the shore. State of the art aquarium, restaurants, whale and dolphine watching boat tours in the mornings. I recommend The Grotto restaurant at the fishermen's boardwalk, great food, never had a bad experience there.
San Francisco:
Speaks for it self. One of my favorite city in the world.
Napa Valley:
Wine country, mineral spas, early morning balloon rides... gorgeous view, wine tasting, restaurants... Near by Sonoma has another mission, 18 century army barracks museum with the history of California, restaurants, deli, bakery, shops and boutiques...
Lake Tahoe:
The place where they filmed the TV series Bonanza. The reason for that series was to promote color TV. It's easy to see why. The lake is crystal clear with sandy shoreline and beautiful evergreen mountain. The smell of the pines are wonderful. Great skiing and winter sports as well as beaches, and water activities in summer. Bike trails go for miles, horse back rentals at a few locations. It is mostly mountain wilderness, but there are a few casinos on both shore. Lake Tahoe is located on the border of California / Nevada.
Yosemtie:
This is a jewel that started the National Park preservation. Abraham Lincoln took time in the middle of the civil war to dedicate this park. Very different from Tahoe. Yosemite Valley has tall water falls, some can be seen from the road, but a few are hidden away between the hills and just a couple hour hike. Camping and house tents are available in Half Dome Village where there is a cafeteria, ice cream shop and nightly amphitheater. There are free shuttles in the valley as well as tour buses that can show you the sights. Glacier Point is farther up at the south rim of Yosemite, but it's a must see in summer only, winter is closed due to snow. A few miles beyond that are the Sequoias. These tall trees are the oldest living trees in the world and only found in California. Some are over 2000 and 3000 years old. It feels like a cathedral of nature to be among them.

We are located in the Bay Area in the city of Benicia. It is a great location if you are planning to travel to Napa and San Francisco during your stay, since it sits right in between those two cities. It is located right on the Bay with a cute downtown area. I can recommend my favorite restaurants and things to do in the area as well!

This is a small studio with a private entrance that is attached to the back of our house. It has a kitchenette with all the basics to cook a meal, a place to eat, a queen bed, couch, large closet, and attached bathroom. We are excited to provide a space to you to stay and enjoy what the Bay Area has to offer!

You will have access to the private studio as shown in the photos, the shared laundry room which you can access from outside right next to your entrance, and the backyard. The backyard has a grill, outdoor table, and fire pit and chairs that you can use as well.

This space is connected to our home where our family lives. We have tried our best to soundproof the room, however, you are still able to hear us and we can hear you. During the day there may be noise, so if you prefer a quiet place, this may not be for you. We do include ear plugs and a sound machine if you would like to drown out any noise during the day and at night.

We are set up for a TOTAL of ONLY 8 guests (over 2 years of age). Holiday Inn Express is 3 blocks away to accommodate unplanned for extras. There is a disincentive fee/penalty of $100/extra guest(s)/day. Please respect our space and our friends and neighbors nearby. And we have a city business permit displayed on site & pay the city 13% occupancy tax rate each quarter.

Local service professionals phone number on the posey board in kitchen. Fire extinguishers in kitchen pantry and upstairs linen closet, where you will find an emergency chain ladder for window escape, & an Ironing board with iron. In the kitchen pantry we have a first aid kit and emergency lighting, a vacuum & a hand vac. If you pay for your dog’s company, there are toys, an igloo doghouse, cushions in & out, feed bowls, plus an auto watering system @ rear patio- turn rear faucet only 1/8 turn & aim the diverter to auto fill attached bowl BUT PLEASE Turn all off at departure. I would caution that this house is not the best for travelers with mobility issues. Not only are all the bedrooms upstairs but there is a step down from the front entryway to the living room and kitchen that multiple members of our party tripped on. It was a very minor issue and one that the property owner mentioned in the listing as well. All in all, we enjoyed our stay in this Benicia vacation rental and would certainly come back for future vacations!"

The home features 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms as well as a living room, dining area, and work station. The house has a fold out bed as well as a plush couch that can be slept on. The home also has a deck with views of the bay and Carquinez Bridge.

Would not have stayed if it was shown or posted. We had 3 in our group with disabilities that had issues with the climb up or down. So luggage And groceries were a struggle. Definitely not ADA accessible. The view shown in the add is a few years old. Shrubs and trees are in line with the bridge so sunsets and views are a little obscured. The porch is a great place to sit but he doesn’t have any outside furniture. Luckily we had our own beach chairs to enjoy the view from the porch for the ladies and girls stayed home while our guys went to the races in Sonoma. As for our host he’s good and greets you at the door. Wish he had a guest book with all the information he rattled off. I felt uneasy to consistently texting him for information but he was right there when needed. I wish him the best but hope that before anyone rents they ask for a view from the street."

An hour to SF or 30 minutes to the heart of the wine country. A meandering 1 1/2 hours to Stinson, Bondi, Pt Reyes. The redwoods are just a bit further and going in the opposite direction you will find gold country and the Sierra foothills. Lake Tahoe, Squaw Valley and Reno are a 3-4 hour drive.

- "The property was as advertised and was very comfortable for my group. Plenty of room for us all. The room downstairs with the bath attached was great for my elderly mother. On issue we did have as the WiFi didn't always work per the log-in for the Television. Also the television in the room with the pool table did not function and had a damaged connection. This was not a huge deal for my group, but just thought I would mention it. The backyard was great for the kids to play and it was nice having some play equipment for them to play with. Overall the stay was wonderful."

It is close to family-friendly activities, the beach, restaurants, and dining. Napa is 15 miles and San Francisco is 30 miles. The area offers a charming main street with lots of dining. You will absolutely love the area. Perfect place for couples and families.
