Baths are both tiled and the master has a heated tile floor and heated bidet. Both have showers and the tubs are large and great for soaking.

Our home is a QUIET, peaceful home directly on the shore of Bodega Bay. The only sounds, noise we want our guests to remember are those of Bodega tides rolling in and out, birds, seals, otters and the fog horn and ocean waves crashing in the distance. Please be respectful to our neighbors and other guests. This is NOT a place to come and have a loud party. Please do not book with us if you are looking for a "party house".

Couldn’t find the step stool that helps us reach the dishes on the second shelf, so had to handwash things and reuse. Absense of lamps in main living/dining area made reading and relaxing less appealing. Still no grab bars in shower/tubs. The location is still my favorite in the area, so I still give it a 5 star."

Two king bedrooms and two bathrooms: the countryside facing room has views of peaceful bucolic rolling hills and a red farmhouse with it's barn. To add to your comfort we have installed a wall mounted fireplace to keep the chill off and a T.V.. It has a large en suite with a tub and shower combo. The second king has a Pacific Ocean and farm view, a wall mounted fireplace and T.V.. A quaint shower bathroom with a quartz vanity services this king room. Both bedrooms offer great privacy and are ideal for two couples.

If you need more room for extended family or friends we can offer the 'Little Sister Cottage' next door: Seamist Cottage. She is our cute & cozy one bedroom/bath with a sleeping loft/two twins(ideal for kids/teens) Seamist is a smaller version of Surfscape with all the great attention to detail and comfort.

We have designed and furnished the Surfscape Beach House to create a memorable and wonderful experience that will leave you rested, renewed and ready to return again and again!

- "Can't beat the beautiful view from the living room, outdoor patio, and hot tub. The only niggle was that I hadn't heard from the management company two days prior to check-in despite asking for the information and had to send a panicked request to VRBO. But it worked out. Kitchen is stocked with everything you'll need, prosecco on the counter was a welcome surprise, as was the wine bar. Close to the lovely Kortum trail and lots of beaches and hidden coves. Getting in an out of the parking spaces a bit dicey with oncoming highway 1 traffic so be cautious! A great deal of construction across the highway as they're building a new route for highway one but it wasn't too obtrusive. Definitely a wonderful getaway."

This beautifully remodeled coastal cutie is perfect for one or two couples (and comfortably sleeps 5 adults) who want to enjoy a comfortable and relaxing retreat. This spacious 1500 sq ft remodeled home has an open floor plan with unique tree captioned views of the the tip of north end of Bodega Bay (water is most visible from spa patio and bedroom). Bay View's decor is best described as sophisticated beach, with artwork from Sonoma Coast artists throughout the home! The home's layout allows you to visit with guests in the large updated kitchen, living/dining room, bar area, and sun room while enjoying the view of the trees surrounding the bay.

There are 2 beautifully decorated bedrooms, with queen size beds with heated mattresses. There is a spacious main bathroom with soaking tub/shower combo. private access from both bedrooms, a large granite vanity, and heated towel rack! A cozy double bed with a memory foam mattress provides additional space for an extra guest or two, and a great place to relax and enjoy the view or watch streaming movies on the 55 inch flat screen TV.

A second full bathroom, dressing area (for guests sleeping in main living area), and laundry is conveniently located off the main living space. This area also contains a large desk area with a handy electronics charging station and printer.

The 10 foot glass mosaic topped bar opens the spacious kitchen up to the 500 sq foot great room. It provides a fun place to sit and visit with the chef(s) in your group, while you enjoy a glass of Sonoma Coast wine. If you like to cook as a group this is the kitchen for you (large enough and with plenty of counter space for everyone to be cooking at the same time).

Relax in our enclosed sunroom that leads outside to the 450 square foot 2 level deck and large sunny wind-protected fully fenced yard. Here you will find patio furniture, a gas BBQ, garden with extra dining table, and newer Sundance spa with patio.

“Bay View” has a rare peek- a-boo view of the tip of the north end of Bodega Bay (through a valley captioned with redwoods and cypress trees) and the road to Bodega Head. The view changes constantly with boats heading out to sea during the day and returning home at night. In the evening the view is softly illuminated by fishing boats and local inns. On a clear night the sky is filled with stars to enjoy while relaxing in the spa.

Centrally located, the 'Bay View House' sits on ¼ acre at the north end of the town of Bodega Bay. Located close to the Ocean, the Bay, and Town our location provides convenience while still providing privacy and solitude. We are less than 5 minutes from almost everything Bodega Bay has to offer (ocean beaches, trails, restaurants & shops, wine tasting, horseback riding, charter boats, the bay, and Bodega Head for whale watching! There are many things to explore both on foot and by car. Sonoma County opened Chanselor Ranch, the 378 acre reserve with amazing coastal views open to the public ( located 1/2 mile from our house). Whether you spend the day exploring or just relaxing, you are sure to enjoy our cozy coastal retreat.

Guests using Instant Book must speak to the owner within 24 hours to provide all guest names and contract specifics. Guests with pets or small children please be sure to read house rules & provide info for prior approval. We always respond promptly (usually within an hour). - "There are thousands of great things to say about this place so I will start with the most important. The owner/hostess truly cares and is so helpful, thoughtful and quick to respond. She has carefully put together a booklet for staying here which I recommend you read immediately upon arrival. It will save you countless questions and wondering how things work, she really has thought of everything. The bedrooms are beautiful the beds very comfortable. The bathrooms have everything you could need and so does the kitchen which is super well stocked including spices, coffee, tea, popcorn, so much more. I love the fireplace and the couch is cushy and supportive at the same time. There is tons of seating both inside and out so you can relax no matter the weather. I spent most of my awake time in the naturally heated sun porch or the hot tub. The views are phenomenal and the neighborhood quiet and tree filled. My dogs loved the fully fenced grass yard while I appreciated that the yard is sloped so even during an "atmospheric river" storm, no puddles or mud at all! I just piled some of my own dog towels on the sun porch floor and let them dry their paws before coming in, so easy. The driveway/parking area also had no mud or puddles (packed gravel,) is more than big enough for two and is circular so you don't have to back out. I was blessed to have been able to stay for 10 days so utilized the very efficient washer and dryer. We spent morning at the beach letting the dogs sniff."

The Pine View Bungalow is a two bedroom, two bath home perfect for one or two couples or a small family. The house is located on scenic Highway 1 at the north end of the fishing village of Bodega Bay. It is situated at the back of a large double lot and is adjacent to our other one bedroom/one bathroom Pine View Cottage. There is a large fenced back yard. There is ample parking for your car(s) or boat(s). We welcome you and your well behaved canine.

Pine View Bungalow was completely remodeled in 2011. Upon entering the home, you will immediately notice the beautiful finishes including 14' vaulted ceilings paneled in knotty pine, the rock faced gas fireplace, the wainscot and the numerous windows that take advantage of the fantastic view. The living room is furnished with a comfortable sectional, chairs and a large coffee table perfect for laying out a puzzle or playing games. Additional amenities include free Cable TV, DVD/CD player with surround sound and high speed wireless Internet.

The first bedroom has a queen bed, vaulted knotty pine ceiling and a large sliding glass door that opens onto the back patio. There is a bath directly across the hall from this bedroom that has a tub/shower combination and also houses the stacked washer and dryer. Up two steps is the spacious master bedroom, with a cal-king bed and a sliding glass door that opens on to the patio and hot tub. Up five steps is a spa-like master bath that features a glassed in shower with a river rock floor, and a vaulted, knotty pine paneled ceiling. There is a hot water on demand system for the house that provides unlimited hot water (although we encourage water conservation).

The kitchen is fully furnished with all the equipment necessary to prepare fantastic meals. You might even use vegetables bought at the seasonal Bodega Farmer's Market or locally caught sea food, particularly dungeness crab purchased from any one of several sources within a 1/2 mile of the house.

If you enjoy cooking like we do, you may never want to leave the house, but if you choose to treat yourself to a great meal, the Michelin rated Terrapin Creek Cafe is directly across the street. There's nothing better than walking to dinner - enjoying great cuisine, drinks and dessert - and not having to get in your car!

A private covered patio runs the length of the back of the house and contains the hot tub, table and chairs and a Weber barbecue. Relax in the hot tub at night and watch the fishing boats come into the harbor, and, on the 4th of July, watch the fireworks while you soak in the tub. A patio on the side of the house has comfortable Adirondack chairs.

A short walk will take you to Porto Bodega where you can charter a fishing trip on one of the many charter boats, pick up locally caught seafood, or just explore the harbor and sample some of the best crab and clam chowder on the coast.

There are many recreational activities within a mile of the house, including golf, windsurfing, fishing, hiking, biking, kite flying, beachcombing, kayaking, bird and whale watching. Or you can explore nearby towns, such as Occidental (eat at Negri's restaurant), Freestone (Osmosis Spa is a must) and the Russian River area. Or just take a drive north on Highway 1 along the most spectacular coastline in the world. You won't be disappointed.

Shop before you hit town because the little store on hwy 1 is crazy expensive. the house is comfortable, cozy and quiet. we experienced a super moon while we were there and it was incredible to sit in the hot tub while the moon crested over the beautiful old pine trees that creak and sway with the wind. it was perfect. last time i stayed there, it was with my very elderly dog who enjoyed laying in the sun or snoozing in front of the fireplace. this time i had my young dog with me and she really enjoyed the huge, secure fenced-in yard in back of the house. bring your chuck-it for hours of fun for you and your pooch! the house is close to Spuds which is famous for it's clam chowder - both red and white. since we were so close we enjoyed Spuds quite a few times and i tried the red clam chowder for the first time and it is amazing! there is a spirit of generosity in this house. . .everything you need is there. i just love it!"

After a day of beach combing, Sonoma Coast trail hiking, crab or chowder eating, wine sipping and art collecting retire to your deck for a sunset sip and a lighting of the oceanfront fire pit on the deck. Enjoy views of the stars in the dark sky from the private hot tub. 2 bedrooms and baths are on the top floor. All beds are queen sized to help you drift away to sleep as you listen to the waves. We have resident sea lions that hang out in front of the house and can be seen frolicking throughout the day! At certain times we live on property in separate private quarters with a separate entrance. It is our part time residence. When you send an inquiry for specific dates we can tell you if we will be there at that time. Even then, you will still have the 2 beds/ 2 baths/kitchen / living room/ deck/ fire pit/ BBQ grill and hot tub all to yourselves.
WHAT YOU SHOULD KNOW: Wifi and cell signal is spotty in this area and is not guaranteed for your stay. At times there may be limited or no wifi access, which can be nice to relax and unplug sometimes. Verizon cell service typically is very strong but other carriers may not work throughout the town. To access beach you have a 1-2 minute drive, or you can walk down the driveway and down a steep hill to the sand. Please ask any questions you have before booking.

This house sits on a bluff directly above the ocean. Sit in the living room with a 180 degree view of the ocean, hear the waves as they roll in, watch birds of prey land on a cypress tree, and deer, foxes and other wildlife forage on the hill. Occasionally, see a whale or dolphin swimming off shore. At dusk, watch the sun set as you make dinner in the fully equipped kitchen with all new appliances. Later watch the moon and stars come out as you relax to the sound of the waves.

A five minute walk to the beach, enjoy the craggy coastline, secluded coves and miles and miles of sand. You are less than 15 minutes away from shops and restaurants, horseback riding at Chanslor Ranch and kayak/paddle board rentals in Bodega Bay. A slightly longer drive will have you in the heart of Sonoma wine country.
