When you enter our "Elegant Barn" you will know that you have chosen the perfect space for your Sonoma County wine vacation! The lovely 2-story barn cottage is newly built with both comfort and style in mind. The location is perfect for a wine country vacation. Located on a 3 acre vineyard property surrounded by wineries and open sheep and goat pastures and easy walking, bike riding and driving to many of Healdsburg's best wineries. But still around only a mile away from downtown with it's many tasting rooms and famous restaurants! The space is sunny and light-drenched with windows that boast views of surrounding vineyards and sheep farms. Hardwood floors, wooden beams, tiled-in showers are some of features of this custom-built cottage. Upstairs has one bedroom with walk-in closet, a pull out sofa bed in the living room, large bathroom with walk-in shower and a living room floor-to-ceiling convertible glass doors that open onto the large deck are some of it's many appealing features. Downstairs has a separate detached room with comfy queen bed and an attached full bathroom and sitting area, and coffee station and mini-fridge. The upstairs deck is a luxury on it's own account. The large wrap-around deck is where you are bound to spend much of your time! It has comfy outdoor couches, an outdoor dining table, lounge chairs and even a private HOT TUB! All with views of the surrounding vineyards and sheep pastures. We are even pet friendly and provide guests with a small fenced yard for Fido to relax in (pets must be supervised at all times while in the yard). We care about the environment! Our entire property is solar powered and we even provide guests with a Tesla charging station for their stay. There is a 2-car garage for parking and ample driveway parking as well. This is a perfect spot for up to four adults who seek a restorative, restful experience of being pampered by nature, night skies, and a chance to be away in a wonderful small town known for wine, food, art, and outdoor life. Our home is designed for low-environmental impact. It is solar-supported, with new double-pane windows, energy-efficient air conditioning, heat, and appliances, screened windows allow in cooling evening breezes.
No matter the season, our home is easy to be outside or in. Two decks, one facing the woods across the narrow lane and shaded by a large oak, and the other on the two-story-high southeast side looking to the hills and high meadows across the Russian river. Osprey, egrets, herons and other fishing birds can be seen on their patrols up and down the river.
We are a 5-minute drive or 10-minute bike ride (BYOB), or take a leisurely 20-30 minute walk through the neighborhoods to the Healdsburg Plaza, perfect for wine tasting and enjoying world-class restaurants. In summer we have two Farmers Markets for local produce and products--Saturday 9-noon and Tuesday in the Plaza, 9-noon. There are local bookstores, bakeries, coffee houses, art galleries and retail shops for jewelry, fine clothing and kitchen wares.
Bright and clean open-plan, single-story home with all new furnishings: two queen bedrooms, (east and west) each with a tv. East bedroom has a slider to the deck. Two full baths each with walk-in showers. Washer/Dryer is off the kitchen.
Relax in the living room and watch a movie or curl up with a book, sit on the stools at the counter and talk to the cook in the fully-equipped kitchen. Dining table seats 4 and has much of the 180-degree view! Living room has wall of windows with wide slider to the deck, a small gas grill, and places to sit, or stand and watch the fabulous scenery. High chairs for dining at the plank table with a string of festive lights overhead.
It's a very quiet neighborhood, excellent for resting and relaxing. People are friendly, but privacy is respected and the deep nature, the dark nights, and the serenity are the draws of staying on the mountain. We are among the houses along a narrow windy lane (far less grand than "Avenue" might suggest!); each home set a bit differently--most have been treasured for generations by families who came to Fitch Mountain for respites from city life. Step out the door along the lane and set off for beautiful walks, go explore the little trails and lanes that surround you in redwoods, century-old vacation cottages, wild flowers, mother and baby fawns and California oaks, bay, madrone, buckeye, and redwood. Birdlife abounds.

The pool is heated by end of May through Sept, often we can heat in late April and early October but that is weather dependent. The spa is heated year round.

We keep only basic items in the kitchen - coffee filters, salt and pepper, spices, flour, sugar, olive oil. The fridge will be empty on arrival.

We are 8.3 miles from the Healdsburg town square. This drive takes about 18-20 minutes. The final road to our house is private and is paved for 1.5 miles, our "driveway" is a very well maintained rock rock and is about a 3 minute drive to the house from the entrance gate.

Situated directly on the beautiful Russian River (you have direct access to the river), the cabin is a perfect getaway for wine tasting, river fun (private beach, canoe/SUPs), and Healdsburg access (9 min). Built in 1949, we've kept the cabin's rustic charm, but updated it with modern design, conveniences, and comfort. Perfect for couples or a family.

Our private beach where you can enjoy soaking in the sun, paddling in our canoe or paddle boards, or taking a dip (there's a great swimming hole right in front of our place for a good summer cool-off!). Please note the river's current can be strong even in summer and there are no lifeguards.

We are eager to help guide your stay to ensure you have a fabulous time both at the cabin, and enjoying the area. If you have any issues during your stay, our property manager (Shelley) lives across the street (<1 min walk) and can be contacted 24/7.

Please note that the downstairs bedroom (with the 2 beds and TV) has a separate entrance, outside and down stairs, from the main level. As noted above, this might not be ideal for families with young kids.

Other things to note:
While we certainly have added new appliances and features, this is still a cabin, thus there are a couple things to be aware of:
- Help us keep the septic system working well by only flushing TP
- Cell phone service can be spotty in the cabin (maybe a good thing?), but, if desperate, can be found if you walk down the road a house or two. Wifi however is very stable and accessible around the cabin!
- Windows are single-pane, which means poor sound insulation (for passing cars) and potential drafts if the weather is really cold (heater/cooling units in both levels though)
- We've kept the old animal mounts (moose, deer, duck) that came with the cabin and are part of its "hunting cabin" history. Please don't book if that will upset you.

- "Overall we were very happy with the property and its location. Really easy to get to from Santo Rosa airport. And we were able to Uber to and from the property. It was a perfect getaway for 2 couples. We enjoyed the pool and the fire pit in the evenings. We felt like we did not have enough time to fully utilize the property. We used the bocce court the last day. That’s the only repair needed - it hasn’t been maintained well. But we still enjoyed it. We would definitely recommend to anyone. Yard waste can is located in your yard for you and gardeners use, also put at curb each Monday night for Tue pick up.

Ken our gardener comes once a week - mows- blows and goes. Usually on Wed .Also Jorge will come and go as needed

Welcome to the peaceful home away from home that will have you relaxing in style! This gorgeous home was built in the 40s-50s and is part of the historic Camp Rose neighborhood and is nestled on the side of Fitch Mountain. There is a semi-private Russian River beach access called Camp Rose that is a half-mile walk down from here - it is only for people in the Camp Rose community! There is also a public beach access called "Del Rio Woods", which is about a mile up the road. Downtown Healdsburg is a short two-mile drive away where you will find restaurants, parks, and endless vineyards and wineries! Some must-visit attractions include Dry Creek Vineyard, Trentadue Winery, Kendall-Jackson Wine Estate & Gardens, Luther Burbank Center For The Arts, Safari West, and Armstrong Redwoods State Natural Reserve.

This beautiful retreat offers stunning views of the Russian River, vineyards, rolling hills, Fitch Mountain itself, and the birds that love to perch and soar overhead. Outside, the extensive back deck enjoys a hot tub for soaking and relaxing while taking in the views of the Russian River Valley. The deck also offers a convenient outdoor dining area, a sitting area with plenty of comfortable furniture, and a hanging egg chair.

The guest house is essentially a hotel room with a gas fireplace, refrigerator, microwave and Keurig coffee maker. It is not a self-catering accommodation. It has an attached bathroom with separate shower and toilet facilities. It overlooks the pool and Mount St. Helena in the background. You can walk amongst our vineyards, and even to 3 wineries that are less than a mile away. Dozens more are very close by. The Healdsburg Plaza is an 8 minute drive.

Your visit includes a private VIP tasting at Mazzocco - the winery that makes the Pony Zinfandel with our grapes, and at their sister winery, Wilson, with fabulous wines and views.
The pool is usually open between May and October - weather dependent. We will open the cover for you when we are home which is most of the time, or will give you instructions to open it if we are not home. Just need to give us a heads up when you want to use it. We keep it covered to try to keep the temp at 87 degrees:) I'm sorry but use of the Jacuzzi is not included in the rate. We are on Propane out here in the country which makes it extremely expensive to operate.

The space
Morning Dew is a quaint, 1920s home set under a beautiful old oak tree. In the main house, you'll find a well equipped eat-in kitchen and two separate living spaces where you can curl up by the wood stove with a good book, play cards, watch cable TV, put some music on the Sonos speakers, or use the WiFi. We have a well stocked kitchen, and provide coffee and tea.

There are several options for sleeping, with a queen bed and a single bed in main house, and a second queen bed in the "Love Shack" (a rustic studio accessed by a separate entry below the main home). There is a full bath in the main house and a small bath with shower in the Love Shack.

There are many outdoor spaces for relaxing and enjoying the sounds and views of the river. You'll find a shaded deck off the kitchen with a grill and large table for outdoor dining, a small lounge area besides Love Shack, a screened porch part way down to the river, and a shaded platform that sits above the river.

We have everything you need for a memorable river and wine weekend. Folding chairs, beach towels, and a cooler are available for lounging at the river. Winery maps and recommendations and a picnic basket help you make the most of your winery tour. You'll also find great hiking and road biking in the area, or can arrange a kayaking or canoe trip ending at nearby Memorial Beach. We usually have a couple of kayaks available too (seasonal only, not guaranteed).

Please note that cell phone service can sometimes be spotty. We do have a landline for domestic phone calls as back up.

You will have access to the entire property. We share the path down to the river with our neighbors, but the platform above the river is exclusively ours and there is plenty of room on the rocky beach for everyone to find their own space.

Other things to note
Please note there are many steep steps down to the river. Use of the stairs and river are at your own risk.

Cell phone service can sometimes be spotty (we do have a land line just in case), and the single bedroom in main house has no closet. The 2nd queen bedroom is accessed from the outside.

Please note this is an old and quirky home situated in a rural area. While the oak tree brings lovely shade, it also regularly drops leaves (it is impossible to keep decks leaf-free - sorry!) and is home to lots of wildlife.

While it varies by season, here are some of the creatures you may come across:
Most likely see - lizards, songbirds, jays, hawks, spiders, caterpillars.
Probably see - deer, ducks, fish, hummingbirds, vultures.
Might see - river otters, quail, snakes, field mice, skunks.

Our home is always professionally cleaned between visits, but if seeing a spider in the house could ruin your weekend, it may not be the best choice for you!

The space
Enjoy your stay in beautiful Dry Creek Valley, a pastoral rural setting surrounded by vineyards and local wineries, minutes from Healdsburg's historic quaint downtown plaza. The cottage is 480 square feet with big windows, high ceilings and its own private entrance. There is parking right in front. It has kitchen amenities (coffee and tea pot, mini refrigerator, toaster and microwave), living room and bathroom with a mosaic tile shower. Right across the way you can take a lovely walk or run alongside the vineyards or you can rent a bike to explore the beauty of the valley. If you enjoy hiking, seasonal kayaking or canoeing there are opportunities all around us to explore as well. Our property has multiple fruit trees and we will be happy to share whatever bounty is in season when you arrive. The water here is also clean spring fed and very tasty and the sky at night is full of stars! You can enjoy sitting in the front yard which is bordered by a dozen Redwood trees or you can picnic in our big back yard among the fruit trees. We also have 2 female dogs who are quite friendly if you'd like to meet them. We would be happy to welcome you to Sonoma County and insure that your stay here is enjoyable.

1. Cell phone coverage can be spotty for specific carriers, Verizon service will most likely be limited in the cottage but can be improved by walking up the driveway or driving into town (5 min drive). There is a land line for local, emergency calls in the cottage.
2. Our Internet service is provided by a satellite carrier and may be quite slow at times ( wish it were better but currently it's our only option). If you need the internet for business usage or wish to stream movies our service is most likely going to be inadequate. Coffee shops in town provide good free wifi service. Sorry about the inconvenience.

Our house is in the heart of Sonoma wine country and is only 1.5 miles from downtown Healdsburg. The home is a secluded Mid-Century Modern situated on 8 acres among majestic heritage oaks. Living spaces and decks take advantage of the spectacular valley and mountain views.

The property is located at the entrance to Dry Creek Valley which is a Sonoma County designated Land Intensive Agricultural Area. Regulations require that guests reserve a minimum of 31 days at our house.

The space
The house was designed and built by the owner, an architect. We are the fourth generation of a long-time Healdsburg family who settled here in the 1800's. The property has been in the family since 1946; the home was built in 1981.

The house has two decks under the oaks as well as a serene redwood grove for picnics or drinks. There is a sunroom, fireplace in the living room, wood burning stove, and a two-car attached garage with an EV charging outlet (NEMA-1450). The open floor plan is perfect for a couple, two couples, or a family.

The location offers easy access to award-winning wineries, world class dining, shops, galleries, nearby bicycle routes as well as canoeing/swimming on the Russian River and fishing, boating, and hiking at Lake Sonoma.

The space
The Brix apartment has a separate entrance and lockbox, completely private. It’s a spacious 800 sq feet apartment with living room, dining room, bedroom and modern kitchen and bathroom. We have everything you need to enjoy your stay.

The Brix House is set in beautiful lush garden and fruit trees. Just a block from the historic Healdsburg Plaza or the square. The Brix House is in a friendly neighborhood of houses with bright flowers and front porches, old churches and museums.

Guests are always surprise at the spaciousness of this apartment. It is 800 sq ft and occupies the entire second floor of the house, sleeps up to three people and offers a bright and sunny living room with views of St. John's Church and Fitch Mt.

Everything is brand new and completely upgraded with designer touches (Circa Lighting in every room, wide-farm style kitchen sink, Italian ceramic tiles, neutral carpet color, brand new Marvin windows with screens, Scandinavian sleeper sofa, feather-bed mattress topper, ornate cabinet knobs and pulls.)

BEDROOM: The bedroom has new Marvin windows, queen size bed with comfortable pillow-top feather bed (removable) for extra comfort, tufted cream-colored headboard and walk-in closet.

BATHROOM: The bathroom is spotless with a walk-in shower, Italian ceramic tiles, floor to ceiling shower glass enclosures, designer lighting- all
high end finishes throughout.

KITCHEN:
The kitchen is a “dream kitchen” with blue kitchen cabinets, Italian ceramic floor and top of the line European finish appliances - gas stove, microwave, refrigerator, microwave, 2 kinds of coffee makers- Drip and a Cappucino/Espresso Machine, toaster and a pantry filled with plates, bowls, kitchen utensils, coffee, teas, wine, pasta and sauce etc., separate dining room with a bar (cork screws, wine glasses included). It has everything you need to make your lunch or dinner wine country style!

OFFICE DESK:
There is a modern, sleek Scandinavian design table and chair in the apartment and fast WIFI.

BALCONY:
Not to forget how wonderful it is to have your own private balcony that overlooks the backyard fruit trees of Meyer lemons, red and green apples and oranges, a wonderful place to watch Summer or Autumn sky while enjoying a glass of wine.

BACKYARD:
Our backyard is perfect for entertaining and relaxing. We recently installed some outdoor market lights.
If you like to bbq, there is a brand new Weber BBQ grill in the backyard. There are two tables. One is a teak table with 8 chairs and another white iron table with two chairs.
