Fantastic, quiet, remodeled private cottage, with large deck off living room and bedroom, and roof deck with city views, shared hot tub, a beautiful wet bar with induction burner, huge heated-floor bathroom, in-unit laundry, dishwasher, 77" 4K home theater with thousands of free movies, many streaming services, 1000Mbps internet, both WiFi and Ethernet and a dedicated work-from-home desk space, a large bedroom with reclaimed wood wall, and closet. One block from historic Castro district.

The space:
There are a number of stairs to get into the unit. If you have difficulty navigating stairs, this may not be the right place for you. i get it professionally cleaned after each reservation. i’ve tailored it to my own personal tastes, from the reclaimed redwood wall to the heated bathroom floor. i built the entire apartment from the ground up, floors and all, choosing each detail as it was built. There's a lot of love in this place. i hope you enjoy it as much as i do. :)

Outdoor hot tub is shared, and always on, though it rarely gets used. Quite time is 10pm for the hot tub.

i do not have cable/network TV. i do have an AppleTV with lots of streaming services, which you are welcome to use. :)

Street parking is free, with a weekday 9am-9pm 2-hours time limit, no limit on weekends, cars need to be moved Fridays from 8am-10am for weekly street cleaning. If you need a parking permit (which lets you ignore the 2-hour but not street cleaning), please message me at least three weeks prior to your reservation, so the city can have time to mail it to me. The cost will be determined by the length of your stay, but it's roughly $62/week.

Guest access:
Entire house, rooftop deck, courtyard, entire deck off living room and bedroom. Hot tub is rarely used but is shared.

There are 15 stairs to get to the house. The rooftop deck is two stories up, all stairs. The house is halfway up the block on a steep hill.

Other things to note:
This is not a party house. Please, no parties. i've worked hard to make this a beautiful place and want to keep it in great condition.

Pool is salt water, heated. cleaned once a week and occasionally you will see a few leaves on the surface. Auto pool cleaner will pick those up when it turns on during daytime. . The decks and the lawn around your house are your exclusive domain.
You have a kitchenette with a two hot plate, microwave, dishwasher, minifridge (formerly a wine cooler) , coffee maker and a tea pot. We provide to basic plates, cups and wine glasses and utensils for four people. Pot, pan basic kitchen utensils.

Adorable, small but very efficient cottage with loft and completely private yard and patio. This historic cottage converted from a Speakeasy, sleeps 4 close friends or family members comfortably. This space works for a party of close and intimate relations. The main space is a studio-type layout with kitchenette, toilet, shower and queen bed. The loft also has a queen size bed. Large patio, outdoor swing and fireplace make this cottage an ideal place to relax. Beach is about 500 yards through the neighborhood.
One thing to note is this place doesn’t have much privacy. Please scrutinize our pictures closely to make sure this space is right for you.

Our Cottage is furnished with our guests comfort and privacy our priority. Falling asleep and waking up 30 Feet from the Pacific Ocean is a dream. It really, doesn't get much better. Not appropriate for younger children, located on a 30 Foot bluff above the beach.

The shared, garden area has a lounge sectional overlooking the ocean. Nothing in between you and the expansive pacific ocean. This area is shared between both of our cottages, situated far enough away from the cottages to have your private time with the beautiful ocean views.

There are 2 separated cottages on this property. These two cottages were built in 1906, visited by Jack London. They both have been designed to take full advantage of the Ocean Views , you're able to view the ocean from every living space inside each cottage, including each comfy king bed. Driftwood cottage is equicped with excellent hi-speed Wifi, fully furnished and fully stocked to move right in.

The luxurious king bed is a white leather pillow top king bed with an added memory foam for an unbelievable nights sleep. Our guests repeat each other , how visiting this close to the ocean is Relaxing, Rejuvinating for the body and soul. You cannot be closer to the ocean, unless you were camping on the beach below. This location is quiet, peaceful and a lovely surprise to all upon opening the gate.

The garden area is shared between the two cottages. There is a lounge seating area around the Gas fire pit also recliner lounge chairs. For your privacy they both have their own private decking with beautiful outdoor furniture. Its all about your comfort your privacy with views of the Ocean.

Within a minute from the front door your able to walk to the beach below. Exploring the tide pools at low tide is another activity, bring sturdy shoes. You may take an easy 5 minute hike through a magical 100 Year old Cypress Forest above the Marine Refuge. This 5 min. hike leads to another beautiful calm sandy beach to explore. Another 5 minute walk to the Distillery Restaurant situated on a cliff overlooking the Ocean, with the Legend of the Blue Lady.

The proximity of our cottage to Hiking, Beaches, Harbor and Restaurants is within 3 miles. There is a paved Bike / Walking trail from the Princeton Harbor to Half Moon Bay along the Beautiful Beaches on the coast (about 10mi long). Our proximity to San Francisco, the Wine Country or Monterey makes it easy for a day trip in any direction in the San Francisco Bay Area.

After a day of activity, it is Amazing to sit in the comfortable lounge chairs and watch the Sun sizzle into the Pacific Ocean with your favorite beverage in hand, a warm cozy blanket and toast, to another day at the Beach!

We also had a few stormy windy days from the historic CA weather systems! On calm days, which would be much more common typically, the private cottage deck and shared bench and tables are wonderful places for a picnic or drink while watching the sunset. We were able to park just outside the fence and plug in our car to an exterior outlet. The neighbourhood is quiet and exceptionally friendly, which we discovered during daily dog walks. We loved this place and hope to return!"

The home is located strategically in a safe, green neighbourhood in the heart of silicon valley, 5 minutes away from downtown amenities, movie theaters, shops and hospitals. There is a large natural reserve with beautiful hiking trails walking distance from our house. One of the main connecting highways between San Francisco and San Jose (280) is 5 minutes away. Less than 10 minutes away is the Redwood City Caltrain Station that connects you to the entire Bay Area including SFO, San Francisco and Bart if you wish to cross the Bay. There is a bus line a 15 minute walk away, and buses in the area easily connect you to neighboring locations such as Menlo Park and Palo Alto.

Walking distance to downtown Half Moon Bay with many shops and restaurants. It's also an easy walk to the coastal trail which provides easy access to the beach. The use of beach cruiser bicycles are also included.

Road noise others have noted was evident, & not bad except when there were loud trucks or sirens as the main road is right outside. Keep in mind the parking lot outside the cottage is shared with the cafe (and so is the wifi), which opens at 7:30 am weekdays. The cottage was well-kept and clean, except for a couple of notable things. The cobwebs others mentioned were in multiple places in the rafters, hanging from light fixtures and corners/door frames.There was also pinkish mold around the bottom of the shower in the bathroom (which is tiny as noted by others), all along the grout, at check-in. Thankfully, the cleaning supplies were there, so it was sprayed down with Clorox before heading out one day which cleaned it up. This was a convenient and nice place to stay, and great that it was separate from crowded hotels."

Since the winery is only open from Thursday through Sunday I think, and we were there earlier in the week we didn't get to investigate that side of things very much but I can report that the couple of bottles we did buy were very drinkable. If you look on the map or in one prior comment you'll see that the cottage is indeed quite close to a main road. However, we can confirm that the place is protected enough that the road noise inside is no bother at all. As to the interior, it is perfect for a couple. Having stayed in quite a few VRBO's, many bigger and fancier than this one, what really struck me though, is how absolutely neat and spotless the place was inside. Whoever is responsible for cleaning and straightening deserves a medal."

Our cozy, two bedroom gated cottage with private entrance is located in one of San Francisco's southernmost neighborhoods with convenient access to transportation and freeways. This unique, one-of-a-kind accommodation is located two blocks from BART and a quarter of a block from MUNI. It was recently remodeled to provide our guests with all the amenities of a home away from home.
This is a great starting point for exploration in beautiful San Francisco. Our family has called this city home for four generations, and we are happy to provide you with any information and recommendations you need to make your visit a memorable one. Will consider short stays of less than 30 days.

No other lister will treat you as well as we do! We are also on FLAT street (something of a rarity in San Francisco - try pushing a stroller up some of those hills after a day of sight-seeing!). We have a secure spot for your stroller, etc. You also have a full, fully-equipped kitchen so you can prepare your children's favorite foods or heat a bottle any time you wish.

Patio and garden completely secure so baby or children can be safely out in the fresh air.

There are Lots of amazing restaurants nearby, as well as stunning coastal hikes, you might enjoy renting kayaks and touring the harbor, or you can rent bikes in Half
Moon Bay and ride on the coastal trail, stop for happy hour at the Ritz Carlton Half Moon Bay.

We are very close to Fitzgerald Marine Reserve (Tidepools), downtown Half Moon Bay, great shops and restaurants, amazing local hiking trails.

Public transportation and Ubers/Lyfts are scarce, so you will definitely want a car! We don't recommend our place for young children or adults with mobility issues since there are two wide steps inside the home and a staircase out front leading to the front door. Please only book if you are certain everyone in your party can safely navigate the stairs.

We had to stay within 15 miles of Stanford Hospital for our cancer treatment and this was the place that we picked. The interior was fantastically clean and new. Having separate areas like the living room and kitchen and the bedroom really helped with my husband’s healing. Having a walk-in shower was just like home. We also had access to the housekeeper. The owners were very easy to get a hold of if there were any problems. Their response time was in a timely manner, usually within an hour. The cottage is at the back of the driveway with its own entrance and no connection to the main house. It’s positioned adjacent to our enclosed backyard. We have 3 kids that sometimes practice basketball in the driveway in front of the cottage or play in the adjacent backyard.

We use the driveway to park our 2 personal vehicles. Cottage guests have free street parking right in front of the main house.

Brew French press coffee in the kitchenette and drink it in the dappled light of a quiet backyard patio. A bright sleeping loft overlooks a cozy living room, where a sofa and shag rug are arranged in front of a fireplace. This stand-alone structure offers privacy and serenity. Its stylish decor boasts clean lines and a colorful vibe. For extra guests, the sofa pulls out to a queen-sized bed.

This is 750 square feet of recently renovated, high-ceilinged and open space, including a living area, spa-like bathroom, gas fireplace, kitchenette, eating area, outdoor patio and spacious sleeping loft that overlooks the area below. There is a queen-sized pull-out couch in the living room, in addition to the queen bed in the loft, which is upstairs and includes a dressing area. Stylish furnishings throughout.

Guests can access the cottage through a separate entrance on the property, behind the main house.

There will be a host in the area or in the main house to help you should anything arise during your stay.

The cottage is in the Mt. Carmel neighborhood, a peaceful setting in the flatlands of Redwood City. There are tree-lined streets, flowers, and friendly neighbors—perfect for walking, running, and biking. It's a half mile to bustling downtown Redwood City, walking distance to the nearest Caltrain stop and five miles to Palo Alto and other Silicon Valley companies.

Easy access to Hwy 101 and 280, Stanford, San Francisco, and much of the Silicon Valley peninsula. The Caltrain is a 1/2 mile walk (or a few minutes drive) which takes you to San Francisco in as little as 35 minutes and San Jose in 30. We are 2 Caltrain stops from Palo Alto, 5 from Mountain View. Walk, bike or drive to downtown Redwood City, just .6 miles away. 30 minute drive to the top of Skyline Drive to get away from it all for a run, hike or drive through the wooded hills overlooking the Valley and the Pacific Ocean. Access the entire Bay Area from this central location - use it as a home base for day trips to Napa Valley, Sonoma, Monterey and Carmel.

Kitchenette has a Keurig, Nespresso and french press, small convection oven/microwave, two burners, tea pot, sink and a mini-fridge. There is a European style clothes washer/dryer combo unit convenient for small loads -- clothes may need to be hung/aired for a short time on a drying rack (provided) to become fully dry.

The space
This bungalow is on JAR Farms, a family-owned by teens/for teens wellness retreat and non-profit. Your space is very private but you will have shared access to hiking trails, rose gardens, orchards, pool, hot tub and more.

We'll share our fresh produce, locally made honey and farm fresh eggs with you upon check in!

There are four homes on the nine acre property, with no more than dozen people on site at any time.

It's the best of ultra-stylish chic cozy living with an expansive, spacious unreal Bay Area property.

The property is pet friendly, but please note we have three very friendly dogs of our own — Lucky, Calli and Xena.

(Please note, both units and beach and pool access require taking serpentine trails and rustic steps. We think it's part of the charm, but want to make sure folks are prepared for that!)

Guest access
You'll have shared access to the full property, but the bungalow, glamping tent, and surrounding patio are all yours to enjoy privately. Tucked away from the other spaces, this is the most secluded spot on the property—perfect for a peaceful escape.

Other things to note
PLEASE NOTE, our charming bungalow is actually my favorite spot on the property—it's where I’d live if I could! While it’s one of our cozier spaces, it’s perfect for a couple or a small family of four. For teenagers+ or a little extra room to spread out, the glamping tent offers additional space and a unique experience.
