Lake Access: Our home is situated on a street that dead-ends at Lake Combie, just a short quarter-mile walk away. While the lake is private with no public access points unless you own lakefront property, we enjoy walking down to admire the serene views, especially at sunset.

Fireplace Use: Although our home has five fireplaces, only the one in the living room is available for guest use.

I know it looks like a ton of information but I like for my guests to know everything there is to know about my space!

I want to be fully transparent, so I've included information and other helpful tips to make your stay enjoyable.

CONSUMABLES: You'll find a variety of seasonings, cooking oil, coffee (regular and decaf), tea, sweetener, etc.

DINNER GUESTS: We understand some of your family may live nearby. We are open to our guests having family over to share a meal. We love helping folks make memories! The home is NOT to exceed 12 people total and dinner guest requests MUST be pre-approved by the host in advance. This offer is only available to guests with other excellent reviews. Only registered guests (12 total) may stay the night. Unauthorized guests beyond what is stated in the reservation will result in a $100 per guest per night fee.

THE DAY OF CHECK OUT: I don't require much in the way of cleaning. After all, you paid a cleaning fee right? Please do your dishes. Place all trash in the trash cans located throughout the home. Turn off the lights and heater/air conditioner, close and lock any windows you may have opened and return the key back to the lockbox. No need to empty all the trash cans, mop, vacuum, strip the beds or do laundry. We will take care of it! We just want our guests to RELAX!

Additionally, if you move any furniture during your stay, please return it to where you found it. A $100 fee will be charged if furniture is not returned to its original placement by the day of check-out.

HOT TUB: Please refrain from using the hot tub as a cold pool. Doing so prevents the filters from operating correctly, requiring the tub to be drained and deep cleaned after departure. Should this rule be disregarded, a $100 cleaning fee will be applied. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation to ensure the longevity and quality of the hot tub experience for all guests.

SMOKING POLICY: This is a smoke free environment including cigarettes, e-cigarettes, vape, etc. The smell is impossible to remove and could cause disruptions to future guest reservations. If evidence of smoking indoors is discovered, an additional fee of $100 will be charged and potentially the additional cost that is incurred by losing the next guest's reservation because we cannot eliminate the odor in time for the next arrival. Marijuana is legal in California and IS ALLOWED OUTSIDE ONLY.

CLEANING FEE: Our cleaning fee is based on a courteous guest that leaves the home in good condition. If the home is extremely dirty after check out, you will be charged an additional $100 cleaning fee. This fee includes but is not limited to the discovery of blood, vomit, urine, feces or any other biohazard. Please be advised, we will not attempt to clean any bodily fluid stained items due to potential health risks to my family and future guests. Instead, I will throw the item(s) away, forward my purchase receipts to VRBO and bill you to replace the item(s) in question. Thanks for your understanding!

OVERSTAY FEE: If you are still occupying my property at the 10AM check out time, you will automatically be charged the cost of an additional day at the base rate with no discounts. This does not award you possession of the property, this is just a penalty. If the next guest cannot check in because we cannot clean the home in time, you will be charged the cost associated with losing that reservation.

UNDECLARED GUEST FEE: To deter parties, any undeclared guests over the max occupancy of seven that enter our property, will be charged $100 per person, per day.
Only registered guests are allowed on the property. Absolutely no sex offenders, felons or any other criminals are allowed on my property.

SAFETY/CLEANING PRODUCT PLACEMENT: We happily welcome children but please keep in mind our home is not baby proofed.

COMPLAINTS/REFUNDS: We always try to make everything perfect and because this is our home, we rarely have any unexpected issues. All complaints must be made within the first two hours of arrival on check in day. By addressing a complaint about any aspect of the property to VRBO or the host, you are authorizing the host or maintenance person to come to the property to remedy the situation up to the standards you require. Power outages, weather and road conditions, acts of nature, flight cancellations, sightings of insects, malfunctions with the TV's internet service, or other equipment/appliances do not qualify for refunds. We recommend purchasing travel insurance and reviewing VRBO's terms of service. We reserve the right to refuse accommodation or demands from rude, disrespectful and/or discourteous guests.

CAMERAS/SECURITY SYSTEM: The Property has security cameras placed in the front porch / entrance and at the garage facing the driveway. This video footage is not shared and is recorded for liability reasons in the cases of a break-in, death, injury, guests sneaking in pets, guests disregarding the maximum occupancy allowed, and in no way infringes upon the guests’ expectations of privacy in these public areas of the property. Any attempt at disabling or obscuring the cameras is prohibited and may result in the guest being evicted without refund. The full deposit will be forfeited if any of the above are found. You will also be asked to leave the property immediately without any money returned.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS: You understand you are renting a short-term rental property and will not have tenant rights, no matter the length of your stay. This is considered written proof to the authorities that you have no rights to the home after your reservation has ended. You will be considered a trespasser. Violate the house rules and your reservation will be terminated immediately and is considered grounds for removal from the property without refund. Private security will be hired at your expense to remove all trespassers. You are entering the host's property at your own risk. The host disclaims any liability and shall not be held responsible for any personal injury, accident, incident, pet injury, death, property damage or loss. The host will not be responsible for damages of any kind or any other liability whatsoever arising from or in conjunction with a reservation made through VRBO. Anyone, including undeclared guests who enter the host's property agrees to the house rules and conditions.

Violation of any of these house rules will result in your reservation being immediately canceled without refund.

The American River is 15 to 20 miles away. Reno is 90 minutes away, North shore Tahoe is 1 hr 20 min away, South Shore Tahoe is 2 hrs away.

This is a newly renovated, very private cottage, that is conveniently located. You'll have easy access to exciting attractions via Interstate Highway 80, which is 5 minutes away on a well-maintained, paved, two lane road with shoulders.

The yard at Squirrel's Nest West has been thoroughly masticated within the past two years. Dead trees have been removed and long-needled pine needles have been raked and hauled away.

Meadow Vista is an ideal location and perfect destination for you if you are looking for invigorating outdoor activities! It is a friendly community which is normally "above the fog of the California coast and below the snow-line of the Sierra." Squirrel’s Nest West sits at 1,800 feet in elevation and ensures the ultimate getaway!

The Squirrel's Nest West sleeps four with a king-sized bed and a queen-sized sofa sleeper.

Full kitchen with all the necessary appliances and cooking tools. After an eventful day in the great outdoors, prepare a tasty home-cooked meal. There is dining space provided on the granite counter-tops with two stools and a dining table with four chairs.

With the newly constructed concrete-paver patio, guests can enjoy outdoor dining on our wrought-iron, dining table with matching, padded chairs. There is a new outdoor grill and fish cleaning station in the scenic backyard for the convenience of our guests.

Attractively situated on a 1.3 acre lot, surrounded by trees, an added bonus is the beautiful floral, deer-resistant landscaping at Squirrel’s Nest West.

Nestled in a lot adjacent to Winchester Community, within 3 minutes of the Winchester Country Club and stunning views of the Sierra Nevada Mountains you have a retreat to nature. The general public may dine at the Winchester Country Club.

You'll feel like you're a world away from the hustle and bustle of city life, as this home is very secluded on a lot that is 76% tree covered. The 6.6-mile, beautifully scenic Sugar Pine Mountain Trail marks the backyard boundary of this property. It is open year-around with gorgeous views.

Other amenities provided for your comfort and convenience include excellent cell phone service; wireless internet access; large, flat-screen television; and in-unit laundry washer and dryer.

A new heating/cooling system for the entire cottage was installed in 2018. There is also a new, electric wall heater in the bathroom.

THE LOCATION
You won't have to venture far from this cottage to experience all the area has to offer! We are 45 minutes from Sacramento, 10 minutes from Auburn, 1 hour from Truckee and 1 ¼ hour from Tahoe.

1/2 hour away from Lake Combie and 1/2 hour away from the Lake of the Pines.

1 mile away, along a paved road, is Meadow Vista with a grocery, pharmacy, hardware, veterinary, pet sitting, automotive repair, gas station, dentists, consignment shops, bank, etc.

This cottage is an easy drive via I-80 to Auburn, where you can enjoy historic sites, live entertainment, excellent restaurants, and shopping. Auburn is the “Endurance Capital of the World”. Two of the oldest and most prestigious endurance events in the world take place around Auburn. The Tevis Cup Ride is equestrian and the 100-Mile Endurance Run involved human runners. These events are both 100-miles long and begin in Squaw Valley, CA and end 100.2 miles later in Auburn. Throughout the year, there are numerous shorter distance challenges.

Spend the day outdoors, fishing for rainbow and brown trout on the Bear River; boating on Rollins Lake; fishing at the Halsey Forebay Reservoir, located 8 minutes from Squirrel's Nest West and stocked with a variety of fish; fly-fishing on the Truckee River; river rafting down the North Fork of the American River; hiking and biking; or bird/wildlife watching. You will not run out of things to see and do!

The golfers in your group will delight in the property's easy access to the Winchester Country Club, situated just 3 minutes away. With clear views to Mount Diablo and the Sacramento Valley, it is open to the public for scenic dining – reservations are recommended.

Auburn Recreation District operates the Placer Hills Pool in Meadow Vista from early June – early August. Two of the oldest and most prestigious endurance events in the world take place around Auburn, which has been designated as “The Endurance Capital of the World”.

There are numerous opportunities in the area for whitewater rafting. A Sunset Cruise on the North Fork of the American River is a family friendly trip for kids as young as four that begins in Cool which is 30 minutes from the Squirrel’s Nest West cottage.

Dean's Garage is a detached building that shares the property with the owner's house. Ideal for one or two guests. It has its own gated space with a level concrete patio covered by a shade sail and cozy string lights; and steps up to a landscaped petite side yard. The house is 540 sq ft, with a separate one bedroom, one bathroom (walk-in shower, Toto washlet, towel warmer), stacked laundry and a full linen closet. This little house has 7 windows, each with light blocking shades or curtains. Our theme follows Dean’s lifetime love of all things vroom and braap, and we had fun decorating: foraged and hand assembled a lot of our own wall art and some things we found on Etsy. This 1920's cottage is a block away from Downtown Auburn's charming shops, bars & restaurants, and half mile from historic Old Town and Court House We are located just over a mile from Robie Point's famous Western States trail, and a half mile from the race's finish at Placer High School. We are ten minutes drive from the American River, a half hour from Lakes Folsom or Clementine, and an hour and 1/2 from Lake Tahoe. The home is two bedrooms (1 queen, 1 full bed, and 1 bath. We are dog friendly, and hope you love our home as much as we do.

You'll also find several bike trails in the area, including the Foresthill Divide Loop, the Auburn State Recreation Area, and the American River Trail.

Then there isn't much of a yard in the back, but there is a BBQ close to the kitchen. The best views are from the front porch, with 2 comfortable rocking chairs to sit and enjoy the rose garden or sip on a glass of wine while the sun goes down.

Please be mindful of the neighbor's proximity. While it is very private in the back visually, they can hear your music and loud voices. One of the appeal of this location is the quiet neighbor. Help us keep it that way.

20 mins from my doorstep is my favorite lake, Lake Clementine! It's a small lake that is always a comfortable swimming temperature - much warmer than Rollins, Folsom, or Scott's flat. The ski boats are limited to 25. And parking is limited too. The drive to the lower lake is a very windy steep road that is extremely narrow. But it's worth the drive!!! It is breathtaking! Small fishing boats, kayaking & Paddleboarding make this a highlight for any nature lover!
And if you want to rent a canoe, kayak, or paddleboard you can easily stop and get one before you head into the canyon.

And the wine trails are the best! Auburn has numerous award-winning vineyards to escape to. And I guarantee you’ll be taking a bottle or two home with you.

We're excited to welcome your four-legged family members and provide a comfortable stay for both you and your pets. We happily accommodate up to 2 dogs weighing up to 65 pounds per stay. Please note that there is a pet fee of $125 per dog, which may not be included in the initial price you see on your preferred booking channel.
It's important to mention that the pet fee does not cover any additional cleaning required due to excessive pet hair, waste clean-up, odor, or damage caused by your furry friends.
To ensure a great stay, we kindly request that all visiting dogs are friendly, house trained, and receive regular flea treatment. In the event that you need to leave your dog unattended, we kindly ask that they be secured in a crate to prioritize their comfort.

There is a noise level monitoring system (Noiseaware) to keep sound down for the neighbors. It does not record conversations simply sound levels and sends an alert when the sound is over 70 decibels. There are motion sensors cameras on the exterior of the home for surveillance.

If you host an event, a large gathering of people, or a party we will ask you to leave.

Our biggest goal is to provide you a comfortable, welcoming and safe place to stay which include a few details you need to know about:
- We love our quiet neighborhood and so do our neighbors and we have Quiet hours from 9 PM to 7 AM.
- No parties and or gathering of guests. If you throw a party we will ask you to leave and reserve the right to charge you up to $500.
- No smoking of cigarettes, marijuana or vaping allowed. If you smoke on the property or there is smell of it you will be charged additional cleaning fees of up to $250 depending on cleaning needed.
- We love dogs and we want you to feel at home with yours. We just don't want to clean up after them. We provide a pooper scooper and waste bags to clean up after your pet. Unfortunately if you leave behind pet waste we have to charge you additional cleaning costs of up to $125 fee for pet cleaning.
- Please let us know of any pet accidents when they occur to avoid any additional cleaning fees or damage costs.

This housese is very close to the Famous Foresthill Bridge and accrss to 49 that will take you into the canyon where there are tons of hiking, swiming holes and of course the confluence where the American River converge.

This home is easily handicap accessalbe inside with only one step up to the front door.

The Space:
A 13 ft Bell tent is setup for you with 4 single beds inside (beds are made with sheets & comforters). The tent sits approximately 75 ft above the river with breathtaking views of the river and canyon. If you are coming with a group, there is over an acre of flat land which is perfect for any type of tent setup.

At the tent site you’ll have access to a table and chairs, lounge chairs, picnic table, gas BBQ, basketball hoop and balls, rock campfire, kayaks, and a porta potty. A short 3-minute walk away from the tent you’ll find the shore of the Bear River.

Guest Access:
The tent site is only accessible by 4-wheel drive vehicles. If you do not have a 4-wheel drive vehicle there is parking for up to four vehicles at the house. The tent site is less than a quarter mile walk downhill from the house.

River Access
If you’d like to visit the river to hang out, swim, or fish you can follow the dirt road next to the tent down to the river (3-minute walk). The riverfront has lounge chairs, a picnic table, and kayak's. The riverbank has small pebbles and rocks so water shoes are highly suggested for comfort when going into the water (recommended but not needed).

Come and enjoy the views of the river, forest, and wildlife!

This is a private tent site with one other listing on the property which is located at the house. You may rarely see other guests during your stay.

The home is located on a quite cul-de-sac, with lots of beautiful trees.

Everything is accessible except the garage and basement.

Guests are welcome to use the BBQ on the 1000 sft deck in the back, or the large screen tv in the Llving room, or cook their own food in the kitchen. Quite often I end up sharing the meal prep with the guests and we have a nice relaxing meal on the deck. It’s up to how much you want to interact with me or the other guests.

Welcome to Auburn's finest mid-century modern home situated in the American River Canyon. One-third mile to Stagecoach Trail-head and less than a one mile walk to downtown. Indoor decor contemporary and house has plenty of natural lighting. Very safe, established neighborhood and backyard and deck ideal for afternoon libations, food and chatter. Guest are welcome to use kitchen and coffee maker et al are available for guest use.

The space
Gated parking in front of your personal patio, leads to the private entrance of the studio apartment. Which includes a full kitchen, washer and dryer, bathroom, dining area, queen size bed with two nightstands, living room space with couch, coffee table and tv. This is a walkout basement, upstairs is the owners home. The central heat and air is controlled with the upstairs home, there is a space heater provided. A request for higher or lower temperature is welcomed.

Our guesthouse is across the driveway from the main house on 1.5 acres on a quiet country road, yet only 2 miles from Old Town Auburn, 3 miles from the Auburn State Recreation Area, and 1.5 hours from Lake Tahoe. The guesthouse is approximately 300 sq ft and has its own entrance with convenient parking. It’s perfect for a single or couple and is suitable for longer term stays.

The space
The Roost is a cozy private space with a mountain cabin feel, where you can relax in comfort with a new, super-quiet air conditioning and heating unit. Check-in and out are contact-free, and our pull-through driveway makes it easy to come and go.

Note that we do not charge extra for cleaning, and we can provide a small pullout mattress (in addition to the queen size bed) to accommodate an extra person. Just let us know what you need.

Let us take you on a walk through the Roost!

You will park in a dedicated spot a few steps from the entrance. As you enter, you’ll find yourself in the kitchenette where you'll find everything you might need to cook and dine-in: microwave, fridge with freezer, toaster oven, double burner glass cooktop, coffee maker, tea kettle. The pantry stocks dishes and cooking essentials. Just bring food.

Walk through the kitchenette and find yourself in the sun-filled main room with a slanted pine ceiling and a skylight. The room opens out to a private deck overlooking the pond and surrounding nature. The deck is complete with umbrella, patio lights, a bistro table, and seating to watch hummingbirds, listen to frogs, and catch the sunset—a perfect spot for breakfast and/or happy hour.

Back in the bedroom, you’ll sleep on a comfy queen Sealy Cocoon Cool Memory Foam mattress, medium-firm. There’s WIFI and the television is Roku-enabled featuring Amazon Prime and Netflix (free to you while you are staying with us). There’s also a table and chairs for eating and/or working, and a comfy armchair for lounging with a good book. Explore the bookshelf for puzzles, games and books for the occasional rainy day. Throughout the place you’ll find original art pieces and photography by people we know and love.

The bathroom features a walk-in tiled shower. We provide nice soft towels as well as shampoo, conditioner, soap, hairdryer, etc. We also provide extra blankets/pillows, a small iron and ironing board, a fan, and air purifier.

Our host philosophy stems from the conviction that we are all family. We embrace our mutual interdependence and strive to provide a super-clean comfortable private space for everyone with whom our paths cross. We take great pride in making you feel at home. My mom would have loved this place, loved being your host, and so this endeavor of mine is dedicated to her. She would have said with the warmest smile and a brogue, “céad míle fáilte.”

You’re welcome to wander. There is an unfenced pond on the property so please be cautious with children.

We can accommodate extra cars, though not all parking is on pavement.

Other things to note
We love dogs and understand people that don't want to travel without theirs. If you are planning to bring your dog along to Rambler’s Roost, please first consider whether we are a good fit for your pooch: The property is not fenced and we have a border collie that is often outside and off leash. There are also cats that roam freely outside (as well as raccoons, skunks, foxes and deer). Please do not bring a dog that might endanger our cats.

If you decide to travel here with your sweet pooch, you must indicate that at the time of booking (there is a onetime pet fee of $20 and we can accommodate no more than two dogs**).

Once here, please have control of and cleanup after your dog, and please do NOT leave your dog unattended in the guesthouse.

**Because many people are allergic to cats, we do not allow cats in the guesthouse.

Pretty wood cabin feel with wood floors. It is surrounded by trees near the heart of downtown Auburn. It is only a 15 min walk to Old Town and 10 min walk to Downtown (uptown).
It is a quirky small cottage. The bedroom is 10x10 and may not feel comfortable for 2 people if you like a lot of space. Overall it's very quiet but you might hear a train or two.

The space
Most of the booking times available on the calendar are when I am still at home using the second bedroom. Occasionally I am gone for a week at a time though.

This cottage is around 550 sq ft. Nothing fancy, but I have been told the beds are very comfortable and people seem to like the warm vibe inside of the house.

Your room has space to hang clothes .
Also, there are individual heaters in each room as there is not central heating.

The TV is medium size and in the living room.

In the warmer months there is a window air conditioning unit in the living room that works well.

You can enter the building from the front door. The key is in the lock box on the front porch. You would have access to the whole place except the room with the closed door. There is a front porch with chairs and a back yard.
Parking is free and available right in front of the cottage.

You are welcome to do light cooking and food prep. There is a microwave, full stove, oven and toaster over. Pots and pans in a cabinet next to the stove.There is also some room in the refrigerator for your food and/or drinks

The space
With a circle driveway and front door parking you have a separate entrance in an enclosed 500 sq ft courtyard with table and seating area. Inside the room there is approximately 300 sq ft of newly remodeled luxury including the finest memory foam Queen mattress with bedside USB and power, additional sleeping on a twin size futon, walk in closet, bathroom with large walk in shower, kitchenette with refrigerator, microwave, and Keurig coffee maker. Enjoy your morning coffee while watching the wildlife walking by the large picture window. The room includes WiFi, 50" 4k large screen HDTV with premium channels and Blu-ray. Venture out to Old Town Auburn for fine dining, unique one of a kind shopping and weekend Farmer's Market. Explore many outdoor activities: Placer Wine Trail, golf courses, American River Canyon, Amtrak Capital Corridor train station with daily round trips to the Bay. Conveniently situated halfway between San Francisco and Reno, just minutes from Interstate 80.

Guest access
Your own private suite that is accessed through the courtyard which is the formal entrance to the house. We do not use this entrance so the courtyard will be all yours. You can lock your private suite door.

Other things to note
There are no pets, smoking, vaping or drug use allowed on the premise. Your vehicle will fit perfect at the end of the walkway right in front of your room. Please be mindful and leave room for others to pass and stay towards the house.

This Airbnb is a little jewel nestled away among the busy life of a small town community where the buildings look the same, but on the inside, ours is exceptional, possessing the ability to cradle you through the duration of your stay! It is super clean and it is all yours. We wont be there, unless you need something, then we will do everything possible to be at your call! it is Below the snow and above the fog! This place can be an oasis any time of year. Kick up your feet in our fresh living room space, eat your favorite food and watch your favorite show (log in to your streaming service - no cable services) or spend quality time with your travel mates in our peaceful setting! If there are last minute work related tasks you must take care of, sit at our kitchen bar with your laptop. Of course we have wifi. You will find our Kitchen amenities and appliances and polished round oak table suitable for your dining needs. You will find salt, pepper, herbs and spices, oil, coffee, sugar, flour and many other basics already on hand so you can add flavor to your food, while our gorgeous Airbnb warms your heart. Guest access
Everything in our Airbnb is for your use. (except for anything locked up). Parking is allowed in the carport, but make sure you use the right side, (you will be just left - south, of the laundry room) In the back of the carport, you will see lockers with blue and white locks, and a red ribbon. if that is what you see, you are in the right place. you can fit two cars, one behind the other. there is also street parking available. There is a community park about half a mile north. If you need to do laundry, you will have to visit the local laundromat. the closest one that we know of and would recommend is in the Rayleys shopping center. It is tucked away in the left rear corner.

Other things to note
Guests should know before they book that this area is an area with all condominiums. If you are not familiar with what a condo is, they are similar to apartments or townhouses. The way ownership works being different in each case... If condos are not your thing, you might want to consider other options. From the outside, they all look similar. Most, (all on our street) were painted in 2018. There is a community park just a block north that sports a pond, large grassy fields, people jogging and children playing. Guests should also know that there are plenty of options for food, grocery stores and other shopping within a mile, however, a busy street is between us and those aforementioned places. Once you book with us, you will have access to our home manual! We do not have cable, but have 100 mega bit internet and you log into your own streaming service such as netflix, hulu etc. be sure to log back out when you leave so that the next guest is not on your profile! Note; this a condo... essentially an apartment type of a set up and in this environment, it is indeed possible to come across pets... ants or cockroaches. we do regularly spray, however, seasonally, once in a while pets may show up. in the years that we have had this property, we have seen pets more than once, but it is rare.

The space
Sugar Pine Cottage has one bedroom, one bathroom, a full kitchen and dining room and living room with fireplace in 840 sq. feet. 16-foot ceilings add a light and open feeling. Enjoy cozy nights by the fire (we'll supply kindling and wood to get you started).

Technology: Starlink WiFi, Google smart TV you can use with your apps, smart lock.

Accessibility: Single level house with no stairs. Short gravel path leads from driveway to front patio. Front door 34” and no narrow hallways, however bathroom is not specifically setup for wheelchair access. Shower seat can be provided upon request.

Setting: Each room has beautiful private views of wooded and natural areas. Wildlife is common and you will likely see deer nearby. The owner lives in the main house on the other side of the fence with a lot of shrubbery/trees between for privacy. Let us know how we can make your stay excellent!

Bedroom: Comfortable 12" King memory foam mattress. The bedroom has double sliding doors that separate it from the living room, although no lock. The area above the door to the ceiling is open and connects to the 16 ft ceiling in the living room to allow maximum light throughout the cottage.

Twin air mattress available for the living room upon request for 3rd guest.

Kitchen: Instant pot, airfryer/toaster oven, Keurig, French press, stovetop espresso maker, high speed blender, electric mixer, microwave, full fridge with top freezer, and washer/dryer combo unit for laundry. Basic spices and baking items. Compost bin provided.

Outdoor: gas grill and outdoor seating. Fully fenced yard for your friendly pets' use. You will see the owner's chicken coop and free ranging chickens on the other side of the fence during the day. Farm fresh eggs may be available depending on the season!

Meadow Vista is a charming town with many great spots! Holiday Market, the Local Cafe, The Tin Lantern, MV Bottle Store, Ace Hardware and more.

If you need a place to exercise your doggie, Meadow Vista park is beautiful with a duck pond and 1/2 mile walking loop. Dog friendly and spacious!

Everything in Meadow Vista is about 10 minutes from the cottage.

Around the corner from Winchester Country Club golf course and 15 min to the Ridge golf course in Auburn.

Auburn is about 15-20 min. away and you will find Target, fast food restaurants and bigger shopping there as well as cute boutiques and antique shopping near Old Town. Whether you crave Sushi, Indian food, Thai, fro-yo, burgers (Burger Cream is awesome), or the fine French dining of Restaurant Josephine, it's all there in Auburn. Don't miss Awful Annie's bacon flight or burgers and fries and pies at Ikeda's on your way to the cottage!

Cottage is on well and septic. The water is clean and high in mineral content. Starter bottled water is available in the fridge if you prefer, but we think our well water tastes great!

Septic means nothing down the toilet but toilet paper please, but that is best practice for all plumbing systems.
