They even emptied out the black and gray tank for us during our stay!!The night of arrival, we arrived late at night and they were willing to come to the camper to help us with getting the hot water to turn on, and they answered all of our calls/texts right away to make sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed! We were extremely grateful to have such amazing hosts, and greatly impressed with their camper, and kindness! If we come back down, we would love to stay there again! 1) The checkout time is at 10 AM. Please be courteous and be out by then so housekeeping can get started.
2) Take out your trash.
3) Set the thermostat to 77 degrees Fahrenheit.
4) Empty fridge, throw food away - Please leave our coffee, creamer, and sugar in the designated area.
5) Be sure to check under the bed for any belongings you might have left behind, and log out of any streaming services you may have used.
6) Leave beds unmade - sheets, blankets, comforter and pillows on the bed - no need to strip the bed!
7) Leave used towels in a pile in the bathtub/shower.
8) Be sure all items are returned to their designated location (small appliances, games, books, ironing board and iron, hair dryers, pack-n-play, etc.).
9) Make sure all the windows are shut.
10) Please be sure the door is locked as you leave - If applicable, place the key in the lock box and scramble the code

The space
Enjoy your stay in your own private suite with private entrance. Your location offers a private boat slip available to launch your boat, kayak or canoe. Fishing is possible from your two decks you can cast a line and enjoy a cocktail or two while overlooking the water.
Guest access
Guests have their own private suite on the side of the house with private separate entrance with personal parking spot on left side of house which will be next to your suite. There is a boat ramp to launch your boat, kayak or canoe directly into Lake Poinsett. All guests have access to backyard. Just follow down boat ramp till you see the swinging door, walk up three steps to access the backyard. There you will find two decks overlooking the water that are strictly for your enjoyment. The top deck is great to see gators swim by or enjoy a great blue heron fly by hunting for fish. Fish tackle and polls are available if you chose to cast a line to catch a bass, bluegill or a catfish off one of the decks.
Guests will see the backyard is separated in half by a fence where on the other side you may see our two small dogs on occasion.The white dogs name is walter, he m a y bark at first but once you call him by name he calms down and is quite friendly and our other older dog is Gizzie(yorkie) is very friendly. Guests are free to use the other backyard deck area as well and enjoy the view from the swing, just be advised gizzie may want to say hi and look for a belly rub.
Two bikes are available outside on front porch to bike ride around the neighborhood and enjoy different views of lake from four different canals.
Other things to note
We do offer two bikes to ride around the canals to enjoy the view and get exercise, yet you will need your car to drive anywhere else.

This private 500 sq. ft. suite features a dedicated parking spot and private entrance. Inside the unit there is one bedroom with a comfortable queen bed, full bathroom, kitchenette with cooktop, microwave and full refridgerator/freezer, washer/ dryer, dedicated AC unit, ceiling fan, living room, and island with seating for two. There is high-speed wifi internet and a desk in the common space of the apartment. The entrance to your unit is on the back of the house so there is a short, well-lit walk from the driveway to your main entrance. The outdoor space is shared with your hosts. We are here if you need anything, but we will respect your privacy. This is perfect for a single person or a couple for a short getaway or long-term stay.

Shared space on the property is the backyard patio which includes the BBQ grill, seating area, and fire pit. (You will have private use of these, but you may see us pop out of the main house to access the shed or care for the yard/garden. We will minimize this as much as possible during your stay.)
Other things to note
The unit has a tall ceiling, but the walkway has a low area (gutter) and the bedroom has an archway entrance. Guests over 6' tall may need to watch their head in certain areas.

The only negatives were that it was in a slightly sketchy neighborhood and I wish there was a tv in the bedrooms. Also, I wish there was a welcome binder With rules for checkout. I cleaned it myself other than that the whole room was clean the lamps and the one chair there was was not plugged in. If you would like to join us for a home cooked meal, just let us know the day beforehand or the morning of. We ask a contribution of $20/person for the meal. Phil is pretty darn good home cook! Breakfast also available for $10.00
We have 2 cats that live with us. They typically keep to the downstairs area and outside but keep bedroom doors closed just in case they venture upstairs.
