- "We traveled from Lisbon to Madrid and took this hotel as middle of way and price was fair. We sent message saying we would make checkinn by 11Pm but my daughter flight got delayed and we left Lisbon almost 10Pm, we called hotel saying we would be just 1Am, lady on phone was extremely rude saying that by 1am “me voy” (i will leave) and saying we didn’t pay (we paid by hotel.com) we kept going as GPS saying we would arrive 12:10AM but, when cross Portugal to Spain it shows 1h ahead to arrive 1:10AM (because time difference). We called again and lady didn’t want to wait 10 extra minutes (and by hotel.com wasn’t saying checkinn was just till 1am) she kept saying we haven’t paid, so she has no duty to wait. we arrived by 1:08Am, hotel was closed (got pictures) and my wife, my daughter and myself were without hotel. We were desperately calling hotel.com and person was kindly trying to call hotel to wait us bit longer or trying another hotel nearby. We give thanks for hotel.com and two days after hotel communicated they will refund us (thanks to hotel.com intervention) but we aware people traveling never to take this hotel Kavanna which I’m writing this review (pictures of hotel closed by 1:08Am)"
