We came over christmas, and the snow was an issue, so we drove to val thorens which is around 25 mins drive, where there was snow the whole time. The restaurants in saint martin de belleville are average and a bit overpriced, and it is best to buy groceries in mouthier and cook for yourself for most meals. The village of st jean was extremely quiet and gave you the feel of the french countryside. A small complaint was with the church bells that rang a few times per hour, which though charming, was a bit annoying. The house itself couldnt be nicer - a combination of country house with modern interior. Highly recommend!"
