Large high tarentaise alpine chalet.

Located at an altitude of 1600m, secluded and with a view at 260 degrees (from the entrance to the Vanoise to Mont Blanc), this chalet is nevertheless accessible by car between April and November and the Les Arcs 1800 ski resort is 15 minutes by foot (5 minutes by car). It therefore offers absolute tranquility and at the same time the comfort of proximity to a resort.

Attention, family use only revelers groups are not welcome.

The space
The house has 5 bedrooms of different sizes. All have a double bed and storage cabinets. All have at least one window to the mountain.

One of the bedrooms is fully glass and has a Jacuzzi.

A sauna is available with mountain views.

There are three bathrooms and three separate bathrooms.

There is also a huge wooden deck overlooking the Tarentaise valley and two leanings for storage.

PLEASE NOTE, this chalet is not an AirBNB. professional rental, it is only rented for 2 weeks a year in order to pay the charges. It's a real place to live with a soul and our business is there all year round. So we expect tenants to have the same respect for the place they apply to their own home.

Guest access
The entire house is available. As well as the amenities there (ping pong table, training equipment for boxing, darts, petanque balls, etc.).

Ski and climbing equipment, tools, etc… are not to be used.

Other things to note
The chalet is in the center of an amazing playground. In the summer, feel free to be tempted by a two-seater paragliding flight or a rafting descent from the isère.

I practice all the extreme sports around and can give you the tips on who to contact if you are tempted.

Attention, in summer the resort is open from the beginning of July to the end of August. In May, June, September, October and November, the station is closed. This restricts sporting activities, but in return, there's no one in the mountains.

Between December and March, the house is under 1 m of snow and is only accessible by snowmobile (1 km of forest road covered in snow to reach the bottom of the resort of Les Arcs 1800). You are on one of the largest ski areas in the world during the day, and alone on your mountain corner in the evening. Absolute happiness. Be careful, you have to love adventure.

You can leave the skis at the Skiset rental store so as not to clutter yourself to come and go with the chalet. Once you are in the subdivision at the bottom of the resort, you have 3 elevators to take to reach the snow front.

The presence of sheep or cows around the cottage is common between June and September. Attention, systematic electric fences and patous. The patous are there to defend the sheep from wolf attacks. But they're not dogs to approach or pet. They have a highly developed sheep protection instinct (they are born amid the sheep they need to protect).

Set on a hillside, with the most stunning views of Mont Blanc and the valley, Chalet Yves is an attractive, traditional chalet. It is 430 metres (approx) and a short ski from the Vagère chairlift in Les Arc 1800. Alternatively, a free ski bus stops 200 metres (approx) uphill from the chalet. The centre of Arc 1800 is about 700 metres down the road. The chalet is a typical ski chalet in a quiet setting, with easy access to the slopes and the centre of Arc 1800.

Guest access
One big advantage of the location is the free parking .

The centre of Les Arcs 1800 itself is easily accessible on foot in about 10 minutes using the public lifts and covered passageways up through the buildings to the La Croisette navette stop and carpark, and from there just another short walk along a covered corridor and using the public lift up to the centre at Le Charvet. Here are the main meeting points for ESF and ESI as well as the start of the ski lifts to the whole of the Les Arcs ski area and Paradiski. The whole walk is made level by using the lifts to do the climbing!

Linens & towels are included for stays of 7 nights or more during the winter season from December 14th 2024 to April 26th 2025 and are available for hire for shorter stays or outside those dates.
