- "We have just spent a fantastic Christmas week at Chalet Bois. The chalet is beautifully decorated in an Alpine style and extremely comfortable. We are two families of four, which suited the sleeping arrangements perfectly as the bunk bed room is only suitable for children and young teenagers. The chalet was decorated for Christmas, which made for a great atmosphere. Francois and his wife were extremely helpful and gave us a great welcome, making sure we had everything we needed even though they were also on their own Christmas break. The location of the chalet (and the hot tub) is perfect to admire the spectacular views of the sunset over the mountains above Les Arcs on the opposite side of the valley. It is a couple of minutes walk up to the ski bus in normal shoes (ski shops in La Rosiere will store skis and let you change boots but most do not dry ski boots overnight). The bus is frequent and very predictable. La Rosiere offered fabulous skiing and the opportunity to ski over into Italy and take advantage of slightly cheaper prices and fabulous food. The resort has some high north and south facing slopes so although the snow was getting hard packed by the end of the week, we could always find some softer conditions. All in all it was a great week, great hosts and a lovely chalet. Highly recommended."
