- "We have just spent a fantastic Christmas week at Chalet Bois. The chalet is beautifully decorated in an Alpine style and extremely comfortable. We are two families of four, which suited the sleeping arrangements perfectly as the bunk bed room is only suitable for children and young teenagers. The chalet was decorated for Christmas, which made for a great atmosphere. Francois and his wife were extremely helpful and gave us a great welcome, making sure we had everything we needed even though they were also on their own Christmas break. The location of the chalet (and the hot tub) is perfect to admire the spectacular views of the sunset over the mountains above Les Arcs on the opposite side of the valley. It is a couple of minutes walk up to the ski bus in normal shoes (ski shops in La Rosiere will store skis and let you change boots but most do not dry ski boots overnight). The bus is frequent and very predictable. La Rosiere offered fabulous skiing and the opportunity to ski over into Italy and take advantage of slightly cheaper prices and fabulous food. The resort has some high north and south facing slopes so although the snow was getting hard packed by the end of the week, we could always find some softer conditions. All in all it was a great week, great hosts and a lovely chalet. Highly recommended."

The space
Le Villaret is a tiny village nestled on the mountainside, close to many small and major ski resorts in the Taranteise Valley (La Rosiere, St Foy, Val D'Isere, Tignes and Les Arcs all close by).

It's a beautiful, sunny location at 1,370m and a perfect place to end a days skiing if you're looking for quality time outside the resort centres, with amazing views over the mountains.

In the Summer it is a fantastic base to explore the mountain villages, or as a cycling retreat close to many major cycling routes (Col De L'iseran, Col de la madeleine, Col du Petit St Bernard)

This newly built chalet (2012) has 2 bedrooms, both with en-suites and a lovely open plan living room with TV area, fireplace area with wood burning stove, kitchen and 'banquette' dining area.

There is also an outside terrace area and garage plus off-street parking.

This mountain retreat is 15 minutes from Bourg St Maurice and close to all resorts (closest is La Rosiere in 7 mins, furthest is Val D'Isere in 25 minutes). There are some great, mountain side restaurants and bars a very short drive away.

The chalet is self-catering although can be offered on a fully catered basis and we can also provide a bed and breakfast service.

It can also be booked with 'Le Grand Chalet' (to the left on the photo) which is a large (sleeps 11), luxury chalet with spa area, jacuzzi, games room and huge living area overlooking the mountains.

The Chalet des Laix is a beautiful and large 370 m2 chalet, for 10 to 22 people, 100 m2 living room with central fireplace, 6 closed bedrooms and a mezzanine bedroom, 4 bathrooms, 5 toilets, sauna (extra), internet, parking, facing south, panoramic view, garden. Possibility to rent on weekends. Bed linens and towels must be brought or I can rent them for you and put them in the chalet for your arrival. Possibility of cleaning after your departure.

The space
The Chalet des Laix is a huge chalet for 22 people, on the edge of firs and larches, and completely renovated in Savoyard style, is ideal for holidays with several families or in groups of friends, at every time of the year. Its 100 m2 living room with its central fireplace, as well as its large tables that allow for large convivial dining.
Its view is breathtaking and it has maximum sunshine (south-facing). The sunsets are beautiful.
The flowery garden is lovely in the summer (BBQ).
It is located in the heart of one of the largest ski areas: the Tarentaise. 10 minutes by car or by shuttle from the "San Bernardo" ski area to La Rosière (160 kilometers of slopes).
It has a sauna (extra charge), filter coffee machines, and a Nespresso capsule coffee machine. There is an American fridge, a Godin stove, dishwasher, washing machine and dryer, raclette sets and fondue pots.
It has 6 closed bedrooms and a mezzanine bedroom, 4 bathrooms, 5 toilets, and baby equipment: 1 portable crib and 2 high chairs, as well as a small gate for the stairs.

The Chalet des Laix has private parking and nearby municipal parking.
It also has a ski room in the large lower entrance, as well as a foosball table.
Excluding school holidays, it can be rented on weekends.
If you are more than 22 people, an extra charge of €20 to €50 will be requested for each additional person, depending on the length of stay, but not more than 24.
It can be separated into 2 independent duplexes (12-13 people or 9-10 people), each with 4 and 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, 2 and 3 toilets, only during off-season weekdays (May-June and September, October, November).

It is located in a typical small Savoyard village, 5-10 minutes by car or shuttle from La Rosière station and Espace San Bernardo, 15 minutes from Bourg St Maurice-Les Arcs and Paradiski (or via Villaroger), 20 minutes from Ste Foy Tarentaise and 30 minutes from Tignes, Val d'Isère and Espace Killy.
The nearest railway station is Bourg St Maurice.
The nearest highway is Albertville or Courmayeur from June to November (Italy). The nearest airport is Geneva or Lyon.

Early in the morning you sometimes see deer coming in front of the chalet at the bottom of the village.

Many hiking trails are accessible from the Chalet for all levels, the density of the passes of the region makes it an excellent playground for those who want to try their hand at road cycling. The resort also offers downhill bike trails, marked paths for electric mountain biking, a panoramic golf course (9 holes) at La Rosière, an ice rink*, tennis courts, summer sledge *, archery stand, skate park, bowling*....

LOCATION / ACCESS:
The chalet is located in the hamlet of Solliet, a few minutes from the La Rosière ski area but also in the heart of large ski areas. Offering you the opportunity to discover prestigious resorts during your stay.

- La Rosière Espace international San Bernardo:
The cottage is an 18min drive from La Rosiere. A shuttle from Les Champaix (1km from the chalet) is offered in season to reach the estate. Espace international San Bernardo is a Franco-Italian ski area with over 155 km of slopes accessible to beginners and experienced skiers.

- Sainte-Foy Tarentaise: The Sainte-Foy Tarentaise resort located 12 km from the chalet, it is the last resort created in Tarentaise. Sainte-Foy Tarentaise is 32 km of slopes, traditional architecture...

- Tignes / Val d 'Isere: The Tignes / Val d' Isere estate 24 km from the chalet is one of the most prestigious ski areas in the world, especially for hosting events at the 1992 Alberville Olympic Games and the 2009 World Ski Championships. The 300km of slopes open to all ski enthusiasts.

- Les Arcs / Paradiski: Les Arcs / Paradiski, the funicular located 12 km from the chalet allows you to access the Arcs 1600 resort in just 7 minutes which opens onto 200 km of slopes.

Cross country ski:
The village of Séez (8km from the chalte) has a magnificent 18km loop of cross-country skiing (depending on snow): a free (unsecured) itinerary for all levels that winds on a large plateau at the bottom of the village.

Ski touring:
Ski touring trail "l 'Hermine" from the Ecudets chairlift to the Rosière resort. Elevation gain: 740 m, markings every 100 m of positive elevation gain. 2 other courses are marked at La Rosière. The ski touring routes are exclusively reserved for climbing, the descent is done by the alpine ski slopes.

The space
Our Chalet offers a perfect view of the Aiguille Rouge and the Mont Pourri. The balcony is basked in sunshine all day, with unique sunsets not to be missed!
The spacious living room is a perfect place for drinks or games around the fireplace.
The fully equipped kitchen, the big table, the games, the TV... make for a feeling of home at the foot of La Rosière 1850 ski station.
The resort is set up over two centers, the historic "La Rosière Centre" and "les Eucherts" both less than 10mn away on the free bus. Both give you access to skiing over more than 150km of runs, linked up with Italy. The space
Chalet Rosière is a carefully restored farmhouse dating back to 1881. The chalet sleeps ten people in five bedrooms, plus two in the mezzanine, and has four bathrooms. The centre of the chalet is a very generous and elegant lounge area with an open plan modern kitchen, a large dining table, and a seating area with an open fireplace. A wrap-around balcony and a terrace below provide stunning and unobstructed views across the Tarentaise valley.

The careful restoration of the chalet has preserved the original layout of this fully detached chalet over three floors, with a large lounge area including an attic on the top and two floors with five bedrooms below. It has great outdoor access with a wrap-around balcony with East, South and West facing views as well as a terrace below.

The top floor lounge, the salle familiale, is a stunning example of alpine open plan living. It is the heart of Chalet Rosière.
