Pets are welcome over the warmer months - between October and May. Unfortunately we have had problems in the past with pets being left alone in the house in the winter while people go skiing, and it is too cold for them to be left outside. Please note the garden is not fenced.

Mt Selwyn ski resort is a 40min drive away and offers family friendly facilities. If you have hit the slopes and caught a fish you might like to take a drive to the amazing Yarrangabilly Caves. Picnic in this stunning hidden valley, soak up the history of this 100 year old mountain resort and take a dip in the thermal pool.

There are several horse riding operators in the area if you feel like the Man from Snowy River experience. Or just relax. The comforts of the house can make it hard to leave the fireside. You may just stay put and enjoy the quality selection of DVDs, books and games.

Take a wander on the 5km bush fire trail at the back for lovely views of the area. At the end of the day supervise the BBQ from the deck and watch the sun set over the mountains in the company of the friendly local wildlife.

Coffee and the paper can be found just a 15 minute drive away at the Adaminaby bakery where you will find cream buns, curry pies, coffee and lovely fresh bread, there is also an IGA, the pub 'the Snowgoose' and local takeaway for meals and supplies.

The nightly rate stated includes -: Full use of the house for up to 6 people, The Cleaning Fee, and the suppling of, tea towels, table cloth, paper towel, tissues, bath mat, dish cloth, scourers, dishwashing liquid, laundry powder, pillows, blankets, firewood, firelighters, BBQ fuels (heatbeads, gas, charcoal), coffee, tea bags, sugar common sauces such as tomato & bbq, pepper & salt.

The house is Colonial Style, with raked timber ceilings, log walls,and all of the internal walls are lined with timber.

Unlike many other log type houses, the exterior walls are made up of 170mm solid logs, that form both the interior and exterior walls to provide unequaled insulation. Other imitation log houses, use split logs and nail them to the wall frame to imitate the feature on the outside and resort to gyprock on the interior side.

There are 2 living areas, both have their own fireplaces to add to the rustic charm of the house.

The new world has then been added with the inclusion of microwaves, Internet, 5 LED / LCD Smart TV's in all, with the main one being a 65".

All of the bedrooms have tv's 32" or 55"..

Yuranga is now connected to the Internet via the Optus Mobile
Broadbabd Network and through a wireless modem Wi-Fi is available in both 2.4GHZ and 5 GHz formats.

Being located on on the end of the Old Adaminaby settlement, Yuranga adjoins the natural bushland and is frequently visited by the local wildlife that consists of Kangaroos, Wombats, Echidnas, Possums & a large variety of parrots & finches.

Due to it's isolation, we are unable to offer a linen service for sheets & towels, but smaller items such as tablecloths, tea towels & bath mats are supplied.

When severe weather strikes the region in winter, the 2 services mostly affected are the power & road networks.

With power, the townships of Adaminaby, Old Adaminaby & Anglers Reach are a lot lower in priority compared to Jindabyne, Thredbo & Perisher, so Yuranga has it's own diesel powered generator installed to get through the delay.

As this area is remote from the other mentioned towns, snow clearing vehicles are permanently based at Adaminaby & Kiandra and with a limited road network to service, the roads are opened up quickly.

There is also a Fold Out Double Sofa situated in the downstairs area.

These extra beds do not increase the maximum number beyond 6, it just accommodates different group make ups, such as an all male fishing group.

Pindari is a well equipped two storey family home overlooking Lake Eucumbene. Upstairs is comprised of an open plan kitchen and lounge room design which overlooks the lake and surrounds. Available upstairs are two bedrooms - one double and one queen. Both beds are equipped with electric blankets and wool doonas to keep you warm on the coldest of nights. The kitchen provides a slow combustion stove for those who enjoy old fashioned country cooking and an electric fan forced oven and hot plates for the modern chef. All cooking utensils required for cooking for a family are present, including microwave,coffee machine and mix master.
The lounge room has two recliner chairs and a three seater couch for your comfort.A wall mounted TV, DVD player and IPod dock are available for your entertainment needs while the large Coonara wood heater will keep you warm on the coldest of days. The balcony is just the place to enjoy the view while cooking on the four burner gas BBQ.

Tackle a trout on your own, or enjoy a fishing charter with Lake Eucumbene Fishing Charters (refer to web page for more info). Or fish the surrounding rivers and streams in the open season. or open season in the surrounding rivers and streams. Rainbows End also offers a great winter escape with skiing at Selwyn Snowfields which is an easy 35-40 minute drive (depending on road conditions). Rainbows End will provide you with warm, comfortable accommodation for your stay with 2 master bedrooms containing a queen size bed, and 2 bedrooms each containing 2 single beds all with electric blankets, doonas and pillows.

“La Renardiere”
The Fox Hole

“La Renardiere” was built in the late 1970's at Old Adaminaby as a fishing cabin with commanding views over Lake Eucumbene.
The house has undergone three extensions since, and can now accommodate up to 10 visitors.

The main bedroom features a King bed with ensuite, the 2nd bedroom has 4 King single beds.

The separate open plan two story sleeping area , has 2 King Singles downstairs and 2 King Singles upstairs.

Bedding including doona's, linen, electric blankets and towels are provided on all beds.

The house features a large kitchen and dining/living room with 2 slow combustion wood heaters to keep you warm on those cold winter nights as well as a bathroom and ensuite.
There is a large protected rear courtyard with a BBQ and potbelly fire.

There is a well stocked wood heap.

Trout Fishing
Snowy Mountains Fishing Lodge, is located in the township of Old Adaminaby, it sits above the shores of Lake Eucumbene one of Australia's largest fresh water lakes, when full it holds nine times the volume of Sydney Harbour. The public launching ramp is located down the hill.

The lake has both Brown and Rainbow Trout and offers the angler many types of fishing from bait, fly, spinning and trolling in the many bays and arms, as well as fly fishing in the rivers of the Snowy Mountains.

Skiing
During the snow season skiers and snow boarders can visit Mount Selwyn (closed for 2021 due to bushfire damage in 2020) just a short 35km trip by car from Old Adaminaby. Mt Selwyn offers skiing/boarding for the beginner to the intermediate.
Mount Selwyn ticket prices are very reasonable when compared to the other ski fields, which makes it ideal for the family's first trip to the snow. The hire of skis and snowboards can be done in Adaminaby or at Mount Selwyn.

- "Fabulous time in the region doing fishing, skiing and caves.Loved little Robin Escape. Only issues were sketchy internet and phone coverage which made check in a little tricky when the code did not work on the door. " - "After an 8 hour drive, we had issues getting into the house, as the code provided didnt work and so then we had to find where the lock box was located and find the key, which can only be used on the front door! We had no reception or wifi the entire time we where there, we reset the router countless times and there was no internet access... but we couldnt call and ask for help because we also had no phone reception! No tv available either as there is no aerial so without internet there is no TV! The house was not clean, the floors where dirty and the lounges and carpets where stained and had crumbs/dirt all over them. The hot water kept going freezing cold half way through a shower, requiring us to turn off the tap and start again! The light fitting in the bedroom was half hanging out of the roof with wires exposed. The only way to keep the house warm was to have both the fireplace and aircon running at the same time! The beds where comfortable but the linen was stained and looked dirty. There was not a good supply in the kitchen, we had to share 1 knife to eat a steak! For the price we paid for 4 nights, we certainly expected more. Very disappointed in this property!"

'Inglewood Cottage' is located on a larger cattle and sheep station that has been owned by the same family for generations dating back to the original settlers in the area of Adaminaby. This cottage has been renovated and is comfortable for a family wanting to get away from it all. It is also only approximately 7 km to great fishing spots for the enthusiast.
Features lovely big rooms, a lovely fireplace and lovely rural views for miles. Located only 1.7km from the main road so easy to access for all vehicles but no traffic noise.
