This 1937 WWII historical landmark Tahosa Valley Cabin sits on secluded 8.6 acres for beautiful forest land with wildlife such as elk, moose, deer, and occasionally bear. The cabin is near the Rocky Mountain National Park entrance at Wild Basin. The Longs Peak trail head is approximately 4 miles from the cabin. 12 miles from Estes Park. Our cabin hideaway is cozy for couples or families of any age range. We are a young family and will have items for babies, toddlers, and pre teens/ teens all located in the cabin so it's less for you to pack! The Hideaway will comfortably accommodate families of 2-4 people with all the amenities of home! Individuals traveling alone as well as couples will find the Hideaway to be their perfect location for a quiet memory making trip as well as an easy drive into Estes Park and ALL entrances to RMNP! The deck and large yard off the back door provide quiet solitude in the early mornings and evenings as you also listen to the St. Vrain river running close by!

The ground floor level hosts a beautiful galley kitchen with granite counter tops, stainless steel applicances and heated tile floor with an open floor plan to the dining room and living room. Our kitchen will allow you to prepare any meal of choice as we have it fully stocked with all the utensils you may need! If you'd rather not cook, our table and bar provide perfect seats for your meal you bring in. Cozy up by the fire in the living room and enjoy a football game in the winter. The open floor plan is also ideal for multiples games which are also already at the cabin for your convenience. The bedroom on the main floor has a Queen bed as well as a Twin over Twin bunk bed with plenty of space. The closet in the bedroom houses the items you may need for your little traveler to make memories with new blocks, toys, sleds and books. The bathroom on the main floor has a double basin, large shower, and NEW heated tile floors to keep your toes warm! Upstairs you will find 1 more bedroom and another bathroom. The upstairs Master WALKS OUT onto a deck overlooking the yard! The closet in this room provides a pac n play, highchair, stroller etc. You will find ample space to sleep your young travelers with memories and bedtime stories galore! Or take a break as a couple as enjoy quiet moments together. The bathroom is smaller but very functional for upstairs guests. We have updated all bedding to keep a rustic but modern feel for our guests!

******SNOW: Remember if you're traveling in the winter, we are a mountain cabin. We DO have snow removal on our roads, but please plan your vehicle accordingly!******

Wild animals within a short walk or in the backyard include elk, moose, deer, raccoons squirrel, hummingbirds, and bear (Of course no guarantee, but keep your eyes ready! You never know what you might see!)

Activities such as mountain biking, fishing, horse back riding, and hiking are all right out of your front door step! Fish in the St. Vrain River, or one of the dozen post-card beautiful Alpine Lakes near by. Hire a fishing guide or take your family horse back riding right around the corner at the stables! After a beautiful day in the mountains you are a close 2min drive to Allenspark where you will find wonderful pizza or a mountain cafe, all food types in Estes Park just a short 15 minute drive up the road, or travel just a bit further for a fresh brew in Boulder or wonderful pizza in Nederland!

Beautiful 3 Bedroom 2 bath house buried in the pine trees on 4 acres near Wild Basin and Estes Park. Wild Basin (Rocky Mountain National Park) entry road just 200 yards down highway 7 from Tahosa Park South Rd. This is a recreation enthusiast's dream without being too close to the city. Close to fishing, hunting, hiking, biking, and guided horseback tours just a mile down the road at Meeker Park Lodge. The master suite includes full bath, walk in closet and private deck with views of a spectacular ridge. The lower level Queen room has access to lower bath and boast great views from the french doors to the exterior. The dual full sized bedroom has it's own private desk for those who may have to work from home. The home has a huge deck with built in dinning table, pellet grill and adirondack chairs to lounge. The basement living area includes 60" TV on Apple TV. The couch is a Queen pull out. There is a wood insert upstairs for entertainment and heat. The basement includes full laundry machines. The upper level has fully remodeled kitchen with new appliances and a dinning area in the kitchen. The main living area has an 82" Smart TV hooked to Apple TV and DVD player. The DVD collection is around 200 movies strong. There are two desk areas flanking each side of the stone fireplace with wood burning insert for asthetics and heat. Great cabin to work remotely and still get an afternoon hike up to Copeland Falls. There is abundant wildlife in the area including Elk, Deer, Moose and Turkey. This is also a great area to possibly see Black Bear.
The drive to Estes Park is 15 minutes with stops along the way like Meeker Park lodge, Eagleplume Ute Indian shop, Longs Peak entrance,Saint Malo's Chapel on the Rock, Lilly Lake and the Twin Sister. In Estes Park you will find an up to date Safeway, Plenty of restaurants, Spas, and guide shops like Kirk's Flyshop (one of our favorites for many types of guided tours). Allenspark and Ferncliff are just a couple miles to the South and have three restaurants and small grocery/gas/liquor store. - "Property extremely clean and well laid out. Area is about 20 minutes from Estes Park and Rocky Mountain National Park. Just a warning that there is little to no cell phone service in the Allenspark area where the cabin is located. Property is very well secluded on a private drive. Kitchen well stocked with basics and nice pots and pans to cook for the entire family. Appliciances including washer and dryer were high end Samsung! Two Apple TVs were nice and gave us something to watch when we were rained in. WiFi at decent speeds but sometimes spotty in the house. Would highly recommend staying at this property."

Beautiful, updated cabin 10 miles (25 minute drive) from Estes Park. It's conveniently located near the less-visited entrances to the Park: Wild Basin and Long's Peak. It's easy enough to get to Estes Park and the Beaver Meadows entrance to the Park as well, and there are spectacular (and often crowded) hikes from that entrance. But the waterfalls accessible from Wild Basin are among the best in the Park. The house has everything you need. We used the outdoor gas grill frequently and made use of the outdoor gas fire ring too. The bedrooms are small, but the beds are firm and comfortable."

We only left a couple of times because everything you would need or want was right here. We did eat at Rock Creek Tavern (the best pizza ever) twice. Vacation Rental Agreement-
This vacation rental contract is a legal agreement between Estes Park Property Management
(also referred to as the “Property Manager”) and you, the Renters (also referred to as “Tenants”
and “Guests”). This contract is entered into as of the date when the Renters place their
reservation online and the reservation is screened and accepted by the Property Manager. The
Property Manager will notify the Renters when their reservation is accepted.
Full payment is due 30 days prior to check-in and must be received before the lock box code and directions to the vacation rental are released.
Policy:
The Vacation Rental must be left picked up and the departure instructions followed. If there are
difficulties following the departure instructions, the renter should notify the property manager.
Reservation Policy:
We, the Renters (also referred to as “Tenants” and “Guests”) agree to the following:
1. We will be completely responsible for any and all damages to the property caused by
our negligence.
2. We will notify the owners of any damage upon arrival.
3. We will hold the owners harmless from any and all bodily injury and/or property
damage incurred on the property arising out of our negligent acts or omissions. See
disclaimer below.
4. We will pay for any fee that is reasonably attributable to broken, damaged, or missing
items.
5. Please follow the cancellation policy through the website you booked through.
6. There are no refunds for early departure or no shows.
7. There are no refunds for snow or weather conditions.
8. All rental monies are due 30 days prior to arrival.
9. All trash must be bagged and placed in bear proof trash can or cost of $100 for unbagged trash.
10. We will not hold the owners responsible for any items left after our check out if we get the request
to send items back, we will charge postal costs plus $15 for packaging.

- "The property was just what I wished for during the trip to Estes Park with my grandson. He is leaving for college in the fall and we wanted one last Colorado trip together. The cabin was in a perfect spot - close to Estes Park and RMNP, as well as old friends outside of Lyons. We had peace and quiet after busy days. - "We had a great stay at Trappers' Cabin - secluded and cosy as it was, it was the perfect place as our base for day trips to RMNP. The house is a striking wood construction in the old style and we enjoyed seeing a wide range of birds, including hummingbirds. The yard was a little overgrown and with several structures that are off limits for safety but we still found places to sit of an evening. - "The cabin was perfect for our family vacation to Rocky Mountain National Park! It is a great location for both the Wild Basin and Bear Lake Road entrances. We were able to go on awesome hikes and return to the cabin for the afternoon rain. Kids (4,7, and 8) loved to unwind after hikes in the covered carport swings! Vacation Rental Agreement-
This vacation rental contract is a legal agreement between Estes Park Property Management
(also referred to as the “Property Manager”) and you, the Renters (also referred to as “Tenants”
and “Guests”). This contract is entered into as of the date when the Renters place their
reservation online and the reservation is screened and accepted by the Property Manager. The
Property Manager will notify the Renters when their reservation is accepted.
Full payment is due 30 days prior to check-in and must be received before the lock box code and directions to the vacation rental are released.
Policy:
The Vacation Rental must be left picked up and the departure instructions followed. If there are
difficulties following the departure instructions, the renter should notify the property manager.
Reservation Policy:
We, the Renters (also referred to as “Tenants” and “Guests”) agree to the following:
1. We will be completely responsible for any and all damages to the property caused by
our negligence.
2. We will notify the owners of any damage upon arrival.
3. We will hold the owners harmless from any and all bodily injury and/or property
damage incurred on the property arising out of our negligent acts or omissions. See
disclaimer below.
4. We will pay for any fee that is reasonably attributable to broken, damaged, or missing
items.
5. Please follow the cancellation policy through the website you booked through.
6. There are no refunds for early departure or no shows.
7. There are no refunds for snow or weather conditions.
8. All rental monies are due 30 days prior to arrival.
9. All trash must be bagged and placed in bear proof trash can or cost of $100 for unbagged trash.
10. We will not hold the owners responsible for any items left after our check out if we get the request
to send items back, we will charge postal costs plus $15 for packaging.
11. Lost keys will incur replacement costs of $50
12. This is not a party house.
13. This is a non-smoking vacation rental.
14. Pets are not allowed in the rental unless property allows dogs or approved by the
property manager.
15. The Town of Estes Park passed an Ordinance which makes it against the law to exceed the maximum
stated occupancy.
16. Please check when your check in time is. An early check-in or late checkout is subject to
extra rental charges.
17. The Renter must be 21 years of age to book this vacation rental.
18. Please look at the cancellation policy. By signing this agreement, you are agreeing to the terms of
the cancellation policy.
We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone and can ask you to leave the property if you are rude/disrespectful or breaking any of these rules. We will not be responsible for accidents or
injury to guests or for loss of their money, jewelry, or valuables of any kind.
Disclaimer:
Renters understand that the Property Manager is not responsible for any personal injury caused
by slipping on snow or ice, and that tenants are responsible for the removal of snow and ice
around the doorways and paths to car, to include the parking area.
And further that the homeowners are not responsible for any personal injury or loss or damage to
tenants’ property caused directly or indirectly from foul, inclement weather conditions, acts of
god or nature, failure of heat, accidents related to fire, heaters, stoves, tenants’ failure to remove snow around access areas, or any unforeseeable circumstances.
Under no circumstances will tenants or their guests hold the owners of the vacation rental
responsible for any damages or claims of any kind resulting from their stay, except for
intentional acts of harm.
By booking this property you are agreeing to this agreement and disclaimer applies to Renters and all guests in the Renters’ party.

Directly across the street from the property there's Ferncliff Food & Fuel, which is a small supermarket and gas station for any essential needs. There's a back entrance to Rocky Mountain Park a few minutes down the road as well as the entrance to Long's Peak. Within 15 minutes you'll find some of the best hiking and wildlife Colorado has to offer.

Getting Around:
We recommend renting or bringing a car to best explore the surrounding areas. There isn't any public transit in the area until you get to Estes Park or Lyons. In the winter months we also strongly recommend an AWD or 4x4 vehicle whenever going to the mountains.

Other Things to Note:
Ferncliff isn't a big mountain town, so we recommend bringing anything you need with you for your stay. If you forget anything, there's always the market across the street. Ferncliff is a rural town which means there's no cell service, but we do have high speed Starlink Internet on the property.

Our lodge operates as fully contactless so there aren't any full time staff and there isn't an office on the property. We have on call staff for anything you may need during your stay, so please don't hesitate to reach out.

The Ferncliff Lodge aims to allow guests to escape the fast paced city life and relax for a few nights. Ferncliff sits a bit over an hour away from Denver, CO as well as just 20 minutes away from the town of Estes Park and Rocky Mountain National Park, known for their rustic mountain charm and incredible hiking/sightseeing.

The Space:
Kozy Cabin offers two bedrooms with queen beds with a full bathroom which has a tub/shower. The cabin boasts a cozy living room with a wood burning fireplace and larger dining area with bench seating. The cabin also has a full kitchen offering an cooktop/oven, and a fridge fit for the whole family. There's also a smaller seating area out front for relaxing and taking in the amazing mountain area.

Guest Access:
Your stay at Kozy will be contactless, but we do have staff on call to help with any requests. 48 hours before your arrival you'll receive detailed check-in instructions including your code for the smart locks. There is no front desk on property. You'll have access to your reserved cabin, as well as the community hot tub area and deck.

The Neighborhood:
Directly across the street from the property there's Ferncliff Food & Fuel, which is a small supermarket and gas station for any essential needs. In the summer, they're fully stocked with everything from toiletries to meats and pizza. There is also a laundromat across the street as well as a a liquor store with a great selection and 2 fuel pumps. There's a back entrance to Rocky Mountain Park a few minutes down the road as well as the entrance to Long's Peak. Within 15 minutes you'll find some of the best hiking and wildlife Colorado has to offer.

Getting Around:
We recommend renting or bringing a car to best explore the surrounding areas. There isn't any public transit in the area until you get to Estes Park or Lyons. During the winter months, we strongly recommend a AWD or 4WD car whenever going to the mountains.

Other Things to Note:
Ferncliff isn't a big mountain town, so we recommend bringing anything you need with you for your stay. If you forget anything, there's always the market across the street. Ferncliff is a rural town which means there's no cell service, but we do have high speed Starlink Internet on the property.

Interaction with Guests:
When arriving at the property you will drive up Penny Ln until you see the 3 hotel style rooms in one structure. You can park up on the right in a parking space, or parallel to the building, making sure not to block the road. Head to you unit, press the Yale logo, and put in the last 4 digits of our booking phone number or the code that was previously sent to you. If the lock gives you any trouble, try entering the code again while slightly pulling the door towards you.
