Lutefisk Lodge is a cabin for rent on Big Stone Lake. It is located 10 miles from Ortonville making it a great location to go up or down the lake. Almost everything in the house is brand new! 300 M internet speed. It has 2 bedrooms with queen beds and a loft with 2 queen beds for a total of 4 sealy queen beds. It has a pull out couch as well for another spot to sleep. It sleeps 8 adults comfortably, after that it starts to get crammed. There is 1 full bath and a 3/4 bath, one with a tub shower and the other with a walk-in shower. There is a washer and dryer. The kitchen comes with a full size refrigerator and a bottom pull out freezer. Pit Boss pellet grill on the basement patio for grilling. There is a dishwasher, electric stove, microwave, toaster, and a coffee pot. There are dishes, glasses, and pots and pans for your use. There are 3 smart tvs so you can login to any of your streaming services and watch tv. There is no cable tv. There is a great beach area with a dock for you to enjoy the lake.
2 kayaks and a paddle board free for you to use.
Please bring your own towels, beach towels, soap, shampoo, firewood, life jackets, sunscreen, bug spray, paper towels, food, etc.
The dock has a swim ladder and bench. You can tie your boat up during the day, but please do not leave it overnight. There are 3 landings within 5 miles of the cabin. 2 are public and one is a state park. We do not recommend the Meadowbrook landing because of rocks. No diving off dock. Pets are not allowed in the house, but they are allowed outside if you wish to bring them.

FOR WINTER - please have four wheel or all wheel drive vehicles to stay here in the winter! Great perch ice fishing right out in front of the cabin! We do have a security camera on the driveway of the property.

Welcome to our beautiful lakefront home situated on the shores of Big Stone Lake! The house sits on a large lot with plenty of space for outdoor activities. A large dock provides great access to the lake and provides a wonderful spot in addition to the large deck on the house to view the amazing sunsets!

Inside you will discover an open living room that seamlessly flows into a spacious dining room and large kitchen. A see-through fireplace simultaneously warms the living room and kitchen! A unique spiral staircase leading to a loft sleeping space is the center of attention in the living space. Two spacious bedrooms, a bath and a half and a utility room complete with washer and dryer share the main floor.

The basement contains a spacious bedroom and full bathroom. The basement living space is half-finished, but furnished with ample comfortable seating, television, and an air hockey table. This is a great space to turn the kids loose! This area also contains an additional bunk bed to accomodate all of your family and friends.

Additional amenities include high speed internet, Apple TV with several streaming services, badminton set, games and puzzles. Everything needed to keep you and your guests occupied!

Come and stay in The Shed @Stone Ridge for fishing, hunting and family fun! You will be minutes from the lake but with room to spread out and a private space to relax. Less than a mile from the lake and 5 minutes from a public access dock, The Shed is fully furnished and ready to host your family and friends. There is plenty of parking if you are pulling boats or trailers.

The Space
The Shed is a Morton building turned into a comfortable home. You will have a full kitchen, dining area, living room with cable and a Smart TV, games and puzzles. There are two bedrooms and a sleeping loft, as well as a sofa bed and futon in the living room, two full bathrooms, (one bathroom is tub only, no shower) and a laundry area for your use.

Guest Access
Guests will have access to the entire home. The shop will be open for you to use for fish cleaning or as a mudroom and storage for your things, but not for parking. We do store our personal belonging and tools in the shop and ask that you respect that.

We do live up the driveway, but we travel frequently and sometimes there may be renters at the house too. We have 11 acres though, so besides sharing a driveway, you may not even see anyone else.

We have farm cats to help keep the rodent population down. They have claimed the shop portion of the building as their favorite place. They’re kind of skittish around people so you might not even see them. But just be aware they are there especially if you’re bringing dogs.

There is a motion activated security camera outside the front door that records video and sound. We prefer it to stay on during your stay, it helps us monitor the whole driveway, but there is a switch for it inside the front door.

Welcome to Big Stone Lake Shore Cabin! This cozy craftsman cabin is on Big Stone Lake in Ortonville and boasts amazing views of the water throughout. A large wrap-around deck is stunning and will have you in awe of the glistening water. This home sleeps up to 8 people. There are some wonderful amenities, including an updated kitchen with a peninsula, an Indoor dining room for 8, also has a large outdoor dining space, a water mat to keep the kids busy for hours, 2 kayaks, a grill and a Blackstone. 2 queen beds, an open staircase up to 4 full beds, a trundle and a hide abed couch on the lower level. This cabin has 3 levels and has 2100 sq ft of space. All of the essentials and amenities are provided in this cabin. Washer/dryer, hair dryer, crock pot, coffeemaker. Big Stone Lake, on the South Dakota/Minnesota border, gets its name from the abundance of stone, rock, and boulders along the bottom of its 27-mile length. A mile in width and covering 12,600 acres, the lake is only 16 feet at its deepest point. It is a haven for walleye and a must-fish destination for serious walleye anglers.

Big Stone holds an abundance of 20-inch-plus walleyes, according to Minnesota’s Department of Natural Resources, and it’s not uncommon to see fish in the high 20s says Northland pro-staffer Brian “Bro” Brosdahl.

Much of the year-round walleye-fishing activity takes place along Big Stone’s extensive shorelines, but points and mid-lake rock piles come into play at times, too.
