Ah Summertime. The best time for the lake! We have a beach/swimming area right on our property for you to enjoy. A pontoon is available for rent (Must be 25 years or older) and we have a dock if you'd like to bring your own boat as well. We have water toys, sand toys, a canoe, paddle boards and more for you to enjoy outdoors. Be sure to get your s'more fix in at night around the fire while you listen to the night sounds of the lake.

In the fall, you must get out and enjoy the colors! Take a hike, grab your camera for photos of the trees around the lake, build leaf piles in the yard. There are a few apple orchards nearby that offer both kids and adult activities. Grab some apples and head back to the cabin to bake a homemade pie and sip on a fresh jug of local apple cider.

In the wintertime our cabin includes ice skates in numerous sizes (we can't guarantee we have your size), sleds, a pair of cross country skis and snow toys. Want to try your hand at ice fishing? We have a pop-up ice house available at no extra charge. Want to stay inside and relax during your stay? No problem. We have 6 smartTV's with wifi to catch up on show-binging, a jetted tub to soak in for hours, a fireplace with reading options from baby to grandma and warm & plush throws with plenty of mugs to fill with hot chocolate or coffee.

The bedrooms were very quiet and very comfortable. The house slept eight comfortably. Our ninth was on a mattress on the floor, which worked for a 10 year old. We spent our whole week on our pontoon that we brought ourselves on the lake. It had beautiful sunrises, and we were lucky to have the perfect weather. The lake was a little weedy, but we found spots to jump off the boat in in the middle of the lake, which we pretty much had to ourselves all week. The whole area was extremely quiet, neighborhood and lake. We loved it and felt so much peace while we were there. We were not there to fish. We only through a line in the water couple of times and caught some small Sunfish. We had breakfast, lunch and dinner every day and in the kitchen, it was very spacious and easy to move around with many cooks in the kitchen. Would highly recommend."

We wound through the trees to find Karen's Kottage. Pretty much everything we needed was there. The lake was quiet, even in the days leading up to the 4th of July. Most days, it felt like we were the only ones there. The entire back wall of the living room windows and the screened in porch, gave sweeping vistas of the lake. We had a front row ticket to the family of Loons and their haunting call. There were also Osprey that would occasionally buzz the lake. Two of the days, we rented a pontoon. And the dock was perfect for tying the pontoon up at the end of the day. The dock is nice and long, and we were able to catch some nice sized fish from there. All in all, Karen is a wonderful host, and we would whole-heartedly recommend her little oasis! We will be staying again!"

In the great room there is a large stone two-sided gas fireplace that warms any chilly night. The deck spans the length of the house and looks out onto Lake Sylvia, perfect to grill up your favorite meal on the large Weber gas grill. There is plenty of room for family and friends with 4 large bedrooms and 3 full bathrooms. The master bedroom is located on the main level and has access to the deck and screen porch. The other three bedrooms are located on the 2nd level along with a full sized bathroom. The loft area provides great views of the lake, has a tv (with fire stick) and seating area. - "Beautiful and super clean cabin just steps from the lake. Great swimming, boating and fishing right from the cabin. Has a large green lawn to play games on along with a fure pit to use. Racheal was right there within seconds to any question we may have had. - THE SPACE -
Our Retreat is available for year round stays. It sleeps 10 comfortably, with a large living space and a kitchen stocked with everything you'll need. We love our coffee in the morning, so we have a coffee maker & coffee grounds for your stay, some basic spices, and a few other condiments in the fridge.

Enjoy all our outdoor spaces, the front of the house has a great size yard with a patio deck with a BBQ grill. Enjoy your coffee or take in the sunset view from the dock!

The cabin is fully suited for families. We have a pack-n-play, a highchair, children's toys & board games.

You'll have access to the entire house along with the fire pit near the lake.

The rental comes with the use of 3 kayaks, a paddleboat, and a lily pad.

Clearwater Lake is the largest lake in the area, enjoy the sandy-bottom lake for playing, or rent our our 26 foot pontoon to enjoy even more of the lake! If you have your own boat, there are two boat launches on the lake.

Cedar Lake is a 837 acre stunning lake with a sandbar and public beach. You may encounter weeds around the shoreline/dock and on the lake, but water clarity is up to 17 feet, depending on Mother Nature.

This cabin features 4 bedrooms (2 king size beds, 1 queen size bed, and 4 twin size beds), a sleeper sofa in the basement, 3 full bathrooms (1 attached to the master bedroom), laundry, kitchen with seating around the counter, kitchen table that seats 8.

The open living room flows nicely into the dining room and kitchen with lots of natural light and views of the lake.

Parking is available in the driveway and space across the road that can accommodate vehicles, trailers, etc.

Sauna, paddle boards, and kayaks included with your rental. If you bring a boat, you can tie to dock.
Other things to note
Some firewood may be available, but please bring your own in case it’s low.

Pet fee $100 per stay (up to 2 pets). Pet fee will go up to $200 for any unannounced pet at the property. No cats allowed. Pets must be leashed when outside. Pets are not allowed on any furniture or bedding/blankets. All pet waste must be picked up before departing.

We have a fully functioning washer and dryer for your convenience.

We have garbage service available to you, so we kindly ask you empty the garbage when you leave.

Please strip used bedding and leave on floor of room.

Please clean your dishes and empty the fridge of any leftover food. Our cleaner comes and cleans after each departure. We ask that you care for our cabin as if it’s your own!

Safety Devices: 4 security camera’s on the property. Located above the garage (view of the driveway), front door (view of the sidewalk), north side of the cabin (view of the sidewalk), and on the lakeside (view of water). Camera’s will be on during check in and check out and overnight. Digitally recorded, motion detection on at night for security purposes.

Once you arrive at The Landing Spot, you'll know you are in the right place. This lake cabin sits on the northeast side of the east bay of Clearwater Lake. The property has roughly 70 feet of lake shore and is quietly nestled on the hilltop offering spectacular views of the lake.

The cabin has an open floor plan. You will be able to relax comfortably during your stay. The main bedroom has a queen bed with a 40" HDTV. The second bedroom boasts a double bed and single over twin bunk bed and includes a Smart TV for the kids and adults. The lower level, while unfurnished, provides a washer and dryer for use. A reverse osmosis system (RO) and water softener were recently installed for cleaner/safer water.

Talk to your friends and family while they relax at the table as you prepare meal in the kitchen with several modern day appliances (dishwasher, refrigerator w/ice maker and RO water dispenser). Or you can simply enjoy the views of the lake as you grill and dine on the patio.

There is plenty of room to unwind in the living room while you watch the 55' smart HDTV or stream music. The Landing Spot has free WiFi available. Streaming services such as DirecTV, Hulu/Disney/ESPN+, Amazon Prime, Apple TV are all included.

At just shy of one acre, you'll have plenty of space to park and participate in outdoor activities. Relax near the fire after a day on the water or enjoying a round of golf at one of the nearby courses. The Landing Spot has outdoor games available such as ladder golf and corn hole. And inside, find plenty of board games and puzzles for the kids.

The opportunity to enjoy the water is the highlight of staying at The Landing Spot. Clearwater lake is one of the top lakes in Minnesota boasting 3,500 acres of beaty and recreation. Great for fishing, water skiing, or just cruising. A large Maui Mat and spacious dock are available for recreational use. The owner also has a 23' R-Series 2019 Bennington Pontoon with a 300 hp outboard motor for rent upon request (experienced boaters only please). The public access is close by for ease of launching your own boat with plenty of dock space for mooring, or you can just pull up on the sandy beach.

Recent upgrades and additions include water softener, RO drinking water system, garbage disposal, dishwasher, and refrigerator with water dispenser and ice maker... and for the kids and adults, a springless trampoline and basketball hoop.

- "From start to finish this cabin is beyond lovely. Rob was responsive and helpful before and during our stay. The house is spacious, clean and stocked with anything you may need. Our family rented a pontoon from BJs and docked at the house during our stay. The garage is amazing. Our family spent the evenings playing ping pong, shuffle board and cards. We bought this 1979 A-frame to give our kids an experience unique to Minnesota and it is our favorite place in the world. When we are not around we want others to have that same experience. It has 4 bedrooms, 2 full bathrooms and comfortably sleeps 9 guests. Nicely shaded and sitting amongst the trees, you can enjoy views of the lake from the cozy living room, kitchen or deck. There’s ample seating on the deck for outdoor dining. Inside, there’s a breakfast bar located in the open and well equipped kitchen. The sandy beach is accessible by stairs, is mostly shaded and is a great spot for lounging or making sand castles. In addition our property has a field for throwing the ball around, yard games, or other sports. You have access to a dock and you may use the lift (no cover) for your own boat. Please let us know ahead of time if you need the lift. The place is perfect for year round recreation.

During the fall months enjoy the beautiful changing colors by kayaking on the lake, relaxing on the deck or hiking on the many hiking trails in the area. A bonfire on the beach is a must while here, staying warm and cozy during the fall crisp evenings.

Winter months here will also not disappoint. The Tree House is of course warm and cozy inside but the the adventures during the the winter months outside are not to be missed. The Tree House cabin during the month of December is decked out for the season to be together with family and friends to celebrate the most wonderful time of the year. The cabin offers its own ice-skating rink all lit up with lights. We have a variety of ice skates to offer. The cabin also comes with ice fishing gear, including a 2 man flip over house, ice auger and poles. The cabin also has easy access to snowmobile trails for those that maybe need a spot to stay for a weekend filled with snowmobiling. If skiing is your thing, Powder Ridge ski and sledding hill is only a 15-minute drive away! The fun is endless during the long winter months.

When Spring is in the air the anticipation of the thaw and thoughts of summer are on the the horizon. Lake thaw and the abundance of nature comes home and it is like no other feeling when you are on the lake. It's the perfect time to come to stay and take in the feeling of joy which follows winter and the excitement of summer coming to life.

*Younger children should be supervised at all times on the deck and walking up and down the stairs to the beach. Getting to and from the beach requires climbing stairs.

- THE LOCATION -
The home is located about 1 hour from the western suburbs of the Twin Cities metro area. It is about 3 miles (10 min) north of Annandale, MN on Clearwater Lake.

Annandale is a fabulous community that has everything you might need. It has a great grocery store, well stocked liquor store and pharmacy. It has an adorable downtown that hosts cute boutiques, an Ice Cream and candy store, souvenir shops, a bowling alley (for rainy days), a farmers market on the weekends in the summer and a few bars/restaurants. It is also home to the Spilled Grain brewery and the Wright County Swappers Meet.

- THE INDOOR SPACE -
Newly renovated, well appointed lake home sleeps 12 comfortably and has all of the modern conveniences to make your stay enjoyable. The main floor has an open floor plan with the kitchen open to the family and dining room areas.
The kitchen has a huge island that provides a great space to prepare meals and to serve your crew. Equipped with a gas cooktop & oven, microwave and stainless steel refrigerator/freezer. A Blackstone griddle, gas grill and a large Big Green Egg lump charcoal grill provide plenty of cooking options for the chef of the group. The kitchen is fully stocked with plates, glassware, silverware, pots, pans and pretty much any kitchen gadget you can think of. We love a great cup of coffee on the deck in the morning, so the kitchen is also equipped with a “Moccamaster” coffee maker. (not complicated, just great coffee) The dining room sits 8 comfortably with custom banquette seating. You can seat another 4 at the kitchen island. There are two bedrooms and two bathrooms on the main floor. One of the bathrooms is immediately off the kitchen, the other is more private and accessed through the “owners suite.”

The walkout lower level has a smaller prep kitchen with a large refrigerator and freezer drawer. There is another family room/gathering area equipped with a giant sectional sofa and big screen TV. It also has a dart board, foosball table and an “Marval” arcade game. The lower level has two bedrooms, a bathroom and laundry room with new front load washer and dryer so you can keep all the swimming towels dry for their next use.

- THE OUTDOOR SPACE -
Outside the lower level sliding glass door, is a paver patio and covered seating area with a dining table, “high top” pub table, sofa and chairs. There is also a queen sized day bed with a retractable canopy to snuggle up on and read a book or is great for an afternoon nap. We have wired speakers under the deck so you can have some tunes going while playing yard games and hanging out by the lake. There is also an outdoor “smart” TV to stream whatever you might want to watch. (ball game, golf, watch a movie under the moonlight) The flat yard between the patio and the lake makes a great area to play "bags." (board and bags available for you to use) There is a solo stove campfire pit available for a small campfire lake side.

The rental comes with the use of 2 Kayaks, a Paddle board and a Lily pad.

If the kids are looking for more outdoor space to burn off energy, there is about a half acre of pretty flat land across the road that makes a great area to play ball. There is also a large fire pit on that side of the road if a bonfire is more your style.

- ACTIVITIES -
At 3,186 acres, Clearwater Lake is one of the largest lakes in the area and is great for fishing. There are two public boat launches on the lake and boat renting options in the area. There are a handful of golf courses close by. The most notable local favorites include: Whispering Pines Golf Course (7mi), Albion Ridges Golf Course (13mi) and Southbrook Golf Course (5mi)

- "We came back to MN for grandma's funeral. It was a great place to be together and share memories." - "There were 8 adults, 1 teenager, 2 toddlers and 1 infant in our group. The swimming was good for all of us, including the toddlers who also enjoyed playing in the sandy area with their pails and shovels. Adults loved the many outdoor and indoor comfortable seating options. We all loved hearing the lions and other birds. The fishing off the dock was also a bonus-small sunfish for the youngsters. Seating areas inside were perfect and we enjoyed cooking on the grill and eating on the patio. Overall everything at this lake house was perfect."

- "The property and house were awesome! Plenty of comfortable room for my family and extended family. The best part are all the lake toys/SUPs/kayaks/Lillypad/etc that the owners provided. We didn't need to rent a boat for this lake at all. It was absolutely perfect to spend that much time on the water. I am a runner and the neighborhood roads were super safe for a morning run. The cabin also had plenty of room to workout inside and out. The cabin was also conveniently located between Annandale and Maple Lake so we could make grocery, coffee and farmer's market runs. The owners were really responsive and nice. The neighbors were sweet and we loved the visits from their dogs. Would definitely stay here again."

Positives: We loved the set up of the master bedroom, as we had an infant, 2 year old, and 5 year old sleep in one room with us! Loved that there were rocking chairs in every room. Loved the screened in porch. All those features made it extremely easy with a newborn. Negatives: Property was slightly expensive for the age of the house. Could have been a little cleaner, as we found cob webs and coffee maker had what looked like moldy water in it. Overall we had a great stay!"
