We live next door and share our small beach with you. There is a breezeway connection between the two homes, but the cabin is in no way connected to our house. It is completely separate. You will have a fire pit, wood & a propane grill. If you have any requests, just ask, and we will do our best to accommodate you!

The Sylvan Mirage pontoon is available for rent which is great for fishing or just general relaxation/recreation. It's a 2023 and has a 90hp motor, 20' 10" long, 2600 lbs, with a capacity of 10 people or 1410 lbs. It comes equipped with remote controlled power legs which are perfect for easy docking and enjoying the sandbars without the need for an anchor. The canopy is electronic, and it has the latest in Bluetooth sound technology. There are 10 adult emergency life jackets on board. We also have children live jackets available in a variety of sizes.

PRICING: $300/day (20% off rentals > 2 days), $1500/week

NOTE: High demand weekends (4th of July, Labor Day, first weekend in Aug) will incur an additional $100 surcharge/rental)

DEPOSIT: There is a $100 non-refundable reservation deposit due with returned rental agreement to reserve dates. This deposit will be used towards the balance of the rental unit upon pickup. A $1,000 refundable damage deposit is due at time of pick. This deposit will be returned upon completion of rental providing there is no damage.

- "We gathered here with our adult children, their girlfriends and some extended family. This property had 4 bedrooms and a lot of space to play yard games or enjoy the lake front. It had a nice new dock for tying our boat up to and we enjoyed several days of good fishing (bass and pan fish) ( landing was also very convenient). Loved the large deck to enjoy outdoor dining or just conversing around the firepit. The host also had cornhole toss and we brought KUBB and bocce so lots of space to do all those outdoor games. The nearby state forest provided some good hiking and each night there was a nice big table for dinners together, game playing and lots of laughter. They also had 2 kayaks and we brought 2, so it was in a nice bay and allowed for some wonderful kayaking. The home was very clean, well maintained, well stocked (had everything we needed). It was only an hour + from the twin cities so it made it easy for my mother-in-law to drive up on her own. Nobody in our party had trouble with this, but note there are lots of steps down to the lake. Also because it is an area where folks have their permanent residence it was noisier during the week with lawnmower noise, tree trimming, neighbors motorcycles and chainsawing, so just know this in case you are looking for more isolation. Loved the location, loved the lake, loved the space for family time. We will be back! Thank you for sharing your property!!"

As you walk into this beautiful lake cabin you will notice the soaring 20 foot ceilings with a floor to ceiling lake view, stone hearth and gas fireplace. The great room overlooks the lake with big mature oak trees. The kitchen includes granite counters, stainless steel appliances and is fully stocked with smaller appliances and utensils for cooking. The main floor is completed with a bathroom with 2 sinks and tub/shower. The master bedroom has a huge window overlooking the lake. A large 2nd bedroom is also on the main floor.

Downstairs you will find a laundry room with an extra refrigerator, sitting area, bathroom and wet bar. There is also a door that walks out under the deck with direct access to the lake. Also, there is another large bedroom with 2 queen size beds, a full size bed & 1 twin bunk bed with another door that has direct access to the lake.

The lodge is close to snowmobile trails and also located on a good ice fishing lake with many others nearby. You’re sure to enjoy the warm fireplace on cold winter nights ❄️

The lakeside cottage is a great getway on the water. It feautures a flat shoreline with a sandy bottom. There are shared paddleboards and kayaks with the property next door. There is a golf course lcoated across the road from the property, which has golf, pickleballs, and other activities to enjoy.

Built in 2012, the cottage has many modern amenities. There is a cozy living room, a full kitchen with stainless steel appliances, and a dining room with a beautiful view of the water. It is the perfect relaxing getaway. The cottage has two bedrooms and a bathroom with a tub/shower.

Also, please respect the property and facilities on the property. Remember to clean up after yourself and go through the final checklist before you leave.
Also please remember that there are close neighbors on both sides, so please be courteous when enjoying your time at the cottage. Please keep the noise level down during the day and quiet at night.
Due to an ordinance, there is a maximum number of people that can be on the premises.
When having a fire please make sure to burn responsibly and check for local burning bans before having a fire.
Rules for Dogs
We know you love your dogs; we know our neighbors love their pets, but our neighbors will not necessarily love your dog in their yard. So please, always keep your dog on a leash unless they are very well trained and will not wander. We do have a kennel available for dogs up to 60 pounds upon request. This is not intended to babysit your dog. The city of Sauk Centre has a dog barking ordinance so please make sure your dog is always supervised.
Again, we love our dogs and we know you love your dogs, but the people who stay after you may not love your dog as much as you do. So please make sure that all dog waste is cleaned up. Doggie waste bags are available upon request. Please place all waste bags in black garbage can in front of main house. If dog waste is found, you will be charged a cleanup fee.

Welcome to Aspen Island! Located on beautiful Big Birch Lake in Grey Eagle, MN. Our cabin has recently been updated to give you the best experience year around while enjoying the beauty of being on your own private island.

Conveniently located only 100 miles from the Twin Cities. The interior features a comfortable gathering area, remodeled bathroom, and running water. The exterior features plenty of outdoor space to be immersed in nature and take in the beautiful scenery & sunset views.
The space
Aspen Island is about 5 acres and is conveniently located on Big Birch Lake. The cabin is roughly 750 square feet, but offers enough space to enjoy the beautiful views. Perfect for a couple getaway, small family vacation, or a solo trip. Or, if you’re the camping type….bring tents and entertain a large group on the island!

As you enter the warm, fully furnished cabin you'll feel right at home. The living room has an opening to the patio that offers the perfect space to witness amazing views while you share memories with your friends and family. There are 2 bedrooms total and the cabin has been updated from top to bottom with our newest additions including: indoor plumbing, fully functional kitchen, and fully functional bathroom.

The kitchen is stocked with all the basics: cups, plates, bowls, and silverware. There is a toaster and small coffee maker.

As you walk outside you’ll be able to witness bald eagles perched in the treetops, loons calling, and listen to the serene water sounds as you are fully surrounded by the beautiful Big Birch Lake. On the beach you'll find a sitting area with chairs situated next to the waterfront. There are beach toys, a hammock, a fire pit, and a set of kayaks that our guests can enjoy.

For those enjoying grilling, a gas grill is also offered.

There is a restaurant, Historic Rock Tavern, located on the lake and is perfect to grab dinner and a drink, if you so choose.

Upon booking, detailed info will be sent out regarding what to pack and how to get there. This is an island and you will need to bring your own boat OR rent one to access the island.

NOTE:
There was a storm that hit the island and knocked over many trees. We are working on getting that cleaned up; however,, it has shown to be a long process (as one can imagine the island being logistically challenging). Please bare with us as we work on getting that taken care of. Please don't let that take away from your amazing stay on the island. We have 5 acres of beautiful land, which is plenty to enjoy!

BOAT RENTAL:
If you would like to rent a pontoon, there are many rental spots around. I would recommend doing a little search to get the perfect fit and ensure that they have availability when you are staying. If you would like some ideas, please feel free to reach out.

SLEEPING ACCOMMODATIONS:
The cabin features 2 bedrooms. One with a bunk bed (single over double) and the other with a single queen size bed. Guests are welcome to bring tents and set them up outside if more space is needed.

- "This is our second year of staying at your house. And we loved it as much this year as last. There was an incident with our 6 year old grandson. He stepped on something in the shallow part of the water and cut his toe. Parents took him to the ER and he had stitches. He was a trooper and we all had to be creative to keep this busy boy happy without going in the water or using his foot too much. His mother noticed you have a disclaimer in your advertisement that talks about possible debris floating up closer to the water's edge. She suggested that you add something to that: water shoes are suggested."
