The town is small and there's not much to do, but for us, who were eager to explore the Tramontana hills, it was a perfect base. This charming and renovated inn is a hidden gem with only 5 rooms, managed by a friendly Mallorcan family: Pau and Diego were the BEST hosts! Banyalbufar is an ideal starting point for spectacular hikes in the Tramuntana Mountains, especially in autumn and spring. You can walk straight into the mountains from our property. The long-distance hiking trail GR221, the "dry stone route", passes close to the house and, well signposted, leads to various circular routes of various lengths, which always open up new, wonderful views.

- "We had the most wonderful week in this beautiful property. The finca itself is rustic, quirky and characterful, with super comfy beds, but the jewel in the crown of this very special place is the outdoor space and sea views. It is nestled towards the top of a hill and is very private and peaceful. The garden is devine, with lots of mature planting, including oleander and gorgeous palm trees and the views…well, they are stunning. All around you have the most magnificent views of the beautiful blue sea. We could look at that all day long. It was like a different world and really relaxing and restorative. Things to note would be that the hill to the house is rather steep (but not too long), the road to the house is narrow in a car, but not a problem once you have got used to it and ants will appear if any food is left out (solution is to put all food in the fridge and don’t leave anything out). None of this would put us off, we just mention these as things to note. The owner Anna was exceptional in her correspondence, always including a great amount of detail and helpful information. We never normally return to the same accommodation, but this was so incredible and magical for us, we definitely hope to return before too long. We had just the best time! Thank you Anna for letting us stay."

The local beach a few blocks away is rocky and was covered with seaweed, but the views and nearby trails are both incredible (meaning, there are certainly better beaches on the island, but it is a great location to go walking, running and exploring while enjoying breathtaking views.) One day we walked out the front door, down the road and hiked a coastal trail to Banyalbufar for lunch. A treat to be able to have such a fun adventure right at our doorstep. My entire family gives this lovely home our highest recommendation and we hope to return there ourselves one day. - "We had a blast staying at this house and exploring the village and surrounding areas. My partner and I got engaged while hanging out in the pool and overlooking the ocean. It was breathtaking. My only gripe was having service/cleaning people show up right at 10 AM on the day of our departure. It was jarring to feel forced out and we would have liked a little later check out time for the amount we spent to stay there for four nights. The house could also use some new furniture. Its really outdated and the sofa has some holes in it and just makes you sweat when sitting on it. The beds in the secondary bedrooms are just single beds pushed together. A queen bed or two would go a long way towards making people feel like they are getting their moneys worth. Otherwise a great stay in a beautiful house."
