Lovely tradicional Stone house located in a peaceful villa with amazing views into the Tramuntana mountains( World Heritage) .The house has a combined living room/ dining room with open chimney in the ground floor. First I would like to explain that to reach the house by car, you need experience on narrow mountain roads.
The road is paved, but it is quite narrow and has sharp curves with slopes.

To get to the house there is 3. 9 km (15 minutes) of narrow road from Biniaraix and 7km (25 minutes) from the petrol station of Soller

We say this because people are not used to this type of road and the road from Biniaraix to the house can make it difficult if you don't have some experience in driving on narrow roads.

The last two curves just before to get to the house are a bit closer and are together (These two curves are in the last two photos of the ad) and it is possible that some inexperienced drivers have to make a maneuver.

We have a Renault Kangoo and climb without any problem
To reach the house always recommend a small car or medium.

We also want to say that thanks to this narrow path, the landscape and the area has been preserved very little built, which makes it a very green place with great views, perfect for relaxing and disconnecting

The house is in a sunny place very well located for hiking.
From the house you can make excursions to the Barranc de Biniaraix, Puig de L'Ofre, Es Cormadors or Es Portell de sa Costa

- "We enjoyed our stay very much. The mountain location was so beautiful you didn’t want to leave it even to explore a nearby beach. The drive up and down is a challenging 25 mins with very steep and blind zigzags so we didn’t attempt to do it in the dark. However, we found the lovely village of Fornalutx by hiking 50mins each way which we did for eating out in the evenings. The restaurants are very good there. We stayed in 34 degrees heat in August and the evenings were difficult for sleeping with no AC but still worth it. The house is very spacious and indoor and outdoor kitchens very well equipped. Pool was also so wonderful to enjoy the view. Our kids loved hearing the sheep every day and passing by the friendly donkeys on our walks. We had a fabulous stay thank you!"

Sitting by the pool is one of the world’s greatest treats, with the gentle flow of the creek; the distant sound of the goats’ bells as they climb the hills; the lingering scent of jasmine and orange blossoms; and the spectacular view. Just beyond the pool and orange grove is the petanc court (bocce ball). We’ve had some great tournaments there!

ACCESS:
Unlike many newer homes in Fornalutx, ours is uniquely accessible. Located on a quiet, walkable street, you can safely stroll to the plaza and drive directly to the house—no navigating long staircases, pedestrian-only lanes, or parking far away. We’re not perched on the outskirts, up in the hills, or along the main road with fast-moving traffic and no sidewalks. Enjoy the rare convenience of unloading luggage, beach gear, or groceries right at the door—without sacrificing the charm of being truly in town.

OTHER THINGS TO NOTE:
There is parking for three cars (two with in the gates and one outside the gate). Please note that the streets in Mallorca are very narrow and we advise renting a compact or small car. While we usually rent smaller SUVs.

VILLAGE
The home is very private, despite being just a 3 minute walk to the village plaza. As you walk along the cobblestone streets, you pass the carefully tended stone homes, all of which contribute to the beauty of the village. The plaza is the center of this ancient Moorish town with a quaint, fully equipped convenient store, a bank, post office, natural and traditional pharmacy, bakery, and several wonderful restaurants and cafes, and a magnificent church. The cafes at the plaza are open from the early morning until 12 at night. There is also great hiking trails just steps from the house.

Alexis grandmother moved from Stockholm, Sweden to Mallorca and the village of Fornalutx in 1955. Back then it had no electricity and there where no roads for cars. Every summer since Alexis was 3 years old (thats 1976) he spent 3 month visiting her. He more or less grow up in the narrow alleys of Fornalutx together with his sister, cousins and Majorcan friends. The beautiful surroundings, all nice people that lives in the village, the nearby beaches in Puerto Soller, the unprecedented mountain walks and the fabulous food at the local restaurants. The property holds its traditional beauty whilst having all the luxuries you need. The home is beautifully decorated and the outdoor kitchen overlooking the mountains is stunning. There is ample free parking around and a local car park with a very small fee. The town has everything you need and we loved our meal at Molon, where Neil served outstanding food and made our night really special. There are a couple of local bakeries, a super market and other restaurants so plenty of options. I would suggest booking early if you’re going in peak season. The apartment was in a perfect location to explore other local areas including Deia, Soller and Valldemossa all accessible within 30 minutes maximum (only 10 mins to Soller). We hired a car however everywhere is accessible by an hourly bus. Absolutely recommend this place and will definitely be looking to return!"

The beaches of the Tramuntana are mostly characterized by rocks and cool, clear waters, for example Cala Deià, Puerto de Valldemossa and Llucalcari. If you prefer sand beaches, you can visit Puerto de Sóller and Cala Tuent. In Sóller and Puerto de Sóller you'll find supermarkets, restaurants and shops. In Fornalutx, there's a small grocery shop. Near Sóller is the Muleta Cave where the most ancient human remains of Mallorca have been found.

- "This is truly a beautiful place. The property owner is a nice and caring man (didn't meet his wife). He was friendly to us, but just as important, his finca is well maintained in every aspect. Every time I walked from the entrance gate to the main house I discovered a little new detail. The walk alone is a little fairy tail! Everything is clean, the view is beautiful. Almost all throughout the day you can enjoy the sun. Even while taking a shower when opening the little window. The house is basically next to a hiking trail which descends to the picturesque center of Fornalutx. It's just a beautiful 10 min walk and we enjoy getting our morning coffee at the little cozy square We took our little boy (1.5 year old) with us and requested a baby bed. It was nicely arranged but since there is only one bedroom we will go for a "two bedroom" finca the next time. For now it wasn't really a problem since we place the bed in the living room and spend all evenings outside. Firewood is just waiting to get burned in the lovely fireplace next to the pool. So relaxing! With our rental vehicle we took daytrips to Palma Mallora, Valdamossa, Soller (and Port Soller) and Port Adriano (streetfood festival). When our little boy was asleep in the afternoon we just enjoyed the sun while reading a book at the pool. We definitely would recommend this place!""

- "Pros: The view from the house and the pool is outstanding! The house is clean, beautiful and comfortable, and the host was very friendly. Cons: The access to the house is difficult. We rented a medium sized car (4 people + luggage) and we really struggled getting up the mountain. The house description mentions a steep and curvy road, but this is a more than that. Several times we had to do a 3-5 point turn to get around the curves, and with steep slopes on the edge of the road, it was not for delicate nerves - especially not at night in the dark. The house is located very high on the mountain, so it takes a while to get up and down. If you are looking for a place with absolute peace and natural beauty (and you are a skilled driver with a small car), this is the place for you. If you want to go on daytrips and explore the island, I would recommend a more accessible place."

This house offers accommodation for 8 to 10 people. It is distributed in three floors with a total of 500 m2. There are three double bedrooms on the middle floor; all of them with en-suite bathroom. There is also a separated shared bathroom available. Two of the bedrooms have access to the porch with magnificent views. The fourth bedroom on the upper floor has two single beds and one en-suite bathroom. We can arrange a cot if required.

The living-dining room is located on the upper floor. There is Satellite Tv available for the guests. A staircase leads you to a second living room with a double sofa bed.

The most distinguishing detail of this house is the covered, 10 x 5 m chlorine pool, with a depth ranging from 1.6 m to 1.8 m. The pool is situated on the lower floor. The surroundings are perfect for hiking and cycling. A nice idea is a visit of the tiny villages in the Tramuntana, for example Sóller, Valldemossa, Sa Calobra, Deià or Banyalbufar. There are lots of small gravel bays where you can enjoy a day on the beach in the middle of the mountains. If you prefer sandy beaches, you can go to Puerto de Sóller. A 40 minutes' drive takes you to the capital Palma de Mallorca, but you can also go there from Sóller with the old train and enjoy the wonderful landscape.
