First I would like to explain that to reach the house by car, you need experience on narrow mountain roads.
The road is paved, but it is quite narrow and has sharp curves with slopes.

To get to the house there is 3. 9 km (15 minutes) of narrow road from Biniaraix and 7km (25 minutes) from the petrol station of Soller

We say this because people are not used to this type of road and the road from Biniaraix to the house can make it difficult if you don't have some experience in driving on narrow roads.

The last two curves just before to get to the house are a bit closer and are together (These two curves are in the last two photos of the ad) and it is possible that some inexperienced drivers have to make a maneuver.

We have a Renault Kangoo and climb without any problem
To reach the house always recommend a small car or medium.

We also want to say that thanks to this narrow path, the landscape and the area has been preserved very little built, which makes it a very green place with great views, perfect for relaxing and disconnecting

From the house you can make excursions to the Barranc de Biniaraix, Puig de L'Ofre, Es Cormadors or Es Portell de sa Costa

- "We enjoyed our stay very much. The mountain location was so beautiful you didn’t want to leave it even to explore a nearby beach. The drive up and down is a challenging 25 mins with very steep and blind zigzags so we didn’t attempt to do it in the dark. However, we found the lovely village of Fornalutx by hiking 50mins each way which we did for eating out in the evenings. The restaurants are very good there. We stayed in 34 degrees heat in August and the evenings were difficult for sleeping with no AC but still worth it. The house is very spacious and indoor and outdoor kitchens very well equipped. Pool was also so wonderful to enjoy the view. Our kids loved hearing the sheep every day and passing by the friendly donkeys on our walks. We had a fabulous stay thank you!"

Just beyond the pool and orange grove is the petanc court (bocce ball). We’ve had some great tournaments there!

ACCESS:
Unlike many newer homes in Fornalutx, ours is uniquely accessible. Located on a quiet, walkable street, you can safely stroll to the plaza and drive directly to the house—no navigating long staircases, pedestrian-only lanes, or parking far away. We’re not perched on the outskirts, up in the hills, or along the main road with fast-moving traffic and no sidewalks. Enjoy the rare convenience of unloading luggage, beach gear, or groceries right at the door—without sacrificing the charm of being truly in town.

OTHER THINGS TO NOTE:
There is parking for three cars (two with in the gates and one outside the gate). Please note that the streets in Mallorca are very narrow and we advise renting a compact or small car. While we usually rent smaller SUVs.

VILLAGE
The home is very private, despite being just a 3 minute walk to the village plaza. As you walk along the cobblestone streets, you pass the carefully tended stone homes, all of which contribute to the beauty of the village. The plaza is the center of this ancient Moorish town with a quaint, fully equipped convenient store, a bank, post office, natural and traditional pharmacy, bakery, and several wonderful restaurants and cafes, and a magnificent church. The cafes at the plaza are open from the early morning until 12 at night. There is also great hiking trails just steps from the house.

The setting, the home and the surrounding village were just what we had hoped for to decompress. The owner and property manager were extremely helpful. Although we happily could have stayed there all day, it proved to be a good base from which to explore other parts of this lovely island. it's a quiet village, which is what we wanted, that we highly recommend to others looking for the same. The house is large enough to easily handle a much, much larger group. The love and care by the family is evident throughout."
