Our delightful cottage has stunning views over Kilbrannan Sound to the Isle of Arran and you can regularly see seals, dolphins, otters, sea-birds, porpoises, sea eagles and basking sharks. The side garden overlooks a beautiful stream. The cottage sleeps up to two people and is tastefully furnished throughout, the ideal place to escape from the hustle and bustle of modern life.

Our cosy lounge (with wood burning stove) leads to a garden room with French doors which open onto a west-facing secure back garden where you can relax and chill out with a glass of wine in the evening sun. The lounge has a TV/DVD player. The well-equipped kitchen has an electric hob, oven, fridge (with small freezer section), washing machine & microwave. French doors open out to the riverside garden.

Enjoy a peaceful night’s sleep in the king-size bedroom. A spacious walk-in shower room comes with a WC and heated towel rail. Bed linen and towels are provided.

Grogport village has a private water system which needs to be boiled before use. An initial supply of bottled drinking water is provided in the cottage.

Port Righ is a small hamlet on its own at the edge of Carradale which looks out onto the Isle of Arran and its stunning mountain ranges. There are a number of places to sit out and enjoy the sea lapping on the beach. The cottage is designated for a couple (plus baby) and the accommodation is conveniently all on ground floor level. It comprises a lounge with beamed ceiling and wood burning stove, open plan to a small kitchen and dining area, one double bedroom and shower room. The cottage is pet friendly as the owners have their own two dogs who love to come and greet you!

The well-equipped kitchen and dining area is an ideal social space with patio doors opening onto the decking and views over the bay to Arran beyond. Carradale is a small fishing village on the east of the Kintyre Peninsula, about 25 miles south of Tarbert. Offering peace and tranquillity, there is a well-stocked community shop and Post Office, tearoom and bar/restaurant, and a 9-hole golf course. Beautiful Carradale Bay is a long stretch of sandy beach, and there is plenty of walking in the woods and along the beaches. Locally, visit the old vitrified fort at Carradale Point, the nature reserve, or the gin distillery with a café. Salmon and trout can be fished on the Carradale River during the summer. Campbeltown is just 15 scenic miles distant, with shops, bars, cafés, a cinema, and three whisky distilleries.

There are ferries to Arran, Gigha, Islay, Jura and the Cowal Peninsula all within a short drive. There’s fantastic golfing at Machrihanish and another two local golf courses. Outdoor enthusiasts will be spoilt for choice with great opportunities for wind and kite surfing, sea angling, scuba diving, cycling, and horseriding, all available locally.
