- "I would have no hesitation in recommending High Beach cottage as a holiday home. It is comfortable and very well appointed with excellent communication from the friendly owners. There was a lovely welcome basket of goodies waiting for us when we arrived and the fire had been laid ready for us, which was a nice touch. We were left plenty of logs to keep us going over our stay and there were clear instructions on how to work everything. The cottage was cleaned to a very high standard and had everything we needed in the kitchen. It is in an excellent location with ample off street parking. Following this holiday we are hoping to book again later in the year."

- "Spent a week with a teenager, parents and grandparents and dogs in this lovely property. House was lovely and cosy with everything you could need. Location was good - if difficult to find in the dark initially - with everything in the village within a short(ish) walk. The house is towards the top of a short but steep road, so anyone with issues walking may find this difficult (the same is the case for the decking in the garden). The only issue we had was with the broadband, although this was due to issues with the mast and provider - but as per the blurb it's not advertised as super fast. One of the downsides of the internet issue was issues with the TV as this is internet TV rather than normal TV - but who goes away to watch TV anyway? Garden had little use, but anyone with dogs needs to know it's enclosed, but there is a big open gate to get the cars in, plus there's loads of wildlife, which can be 'distracting' to even the best trained 4-legged friends. Overall a great stay, nice local walks alongside the loch and a relaxing week."

This is an excellent location for day trips, with a ferry service to East Loch Tarbert available locally. Golf is available in Tighnabruaich. Alternatively, you could enjoy a trip to the Isle of Bute and do a House and Garden Tour at Mount Stuart. The trip takes about an hour and 15 minutes which includes the ferry crossing.
