Preparations for your stay @ Willow Pond

With your trip to Willow Pond, I want to let you know what I and our staff are doing to ensure that our home and property is clean, sanitized and will be a safe & wonderful place to spend time ,and get away from it all! We’ve owned the home & property for over 25 years, and it is a destination in of itself. We are empty nesters, & now live a few minutes away. We have re-decorated, and made several improvements to be able to offer a true “home away from home”, 5-Star vacation experience to our wonderful new friends.

During this time of social distancing we try to block a minimum of 48-72 hours between guests. If you look through the reviews, you’ll read how clean the house is. We have a very strict cleaning procedure in between every guest. (Even before the current situation) Everything from top to bottom is cleaned and sanitized. All bedding, including mattress, pillow covers, sheets, blankets, comforters are washed, so beds are spring fresh for you. All throw blankets are washed, every door knob, light switch & every surface is disinfected, & cleaned. Refrigerator & appliances are all deep cleaned. All floors are steam cleaned, baseboards cleaned. All pots, pans and dishes are washed & put away. The grill is cleaned, and the porch & pool house are cleaned and ready. We have a dedicated staff, that only work for Willow Pond. They are well educated in proper cleaning procedures, and wear gloves & masks. We go the extra mile. Our cleaning fee is $399, but we invest more than double that amount in labor prior to your stay. You will find the home and property at our 5-Star+ level.

In colder months and when open, our pool can be heated for a nominal daily fee. Phillip our property steward will stop by periodically to keep it pristine, as well as straighten the pool area. In addition, we recently stocked the lake and dropped brush in, so fishing and picnicking will be nice. We also have a wood burning fire-pit with wood & firestarters provided. There’s a Corn-hole set in the yard, along with games & the fully equipped Old Hollywood style movie theater. With food & drink close by, your family will have a fabulous time just staying on property. It really does have that luxury farmhouse resort feel.
And if you are working remotely, Willow Pond has ultra high-speed wireless internet, with both 2G & 5G connections.

Also, the owner was easy to communicate with and responded very quickly to the pre-travel questions we had. Property is located about 30 minutes outside Nashville in the small town of Pleasant View. We did all grocery shopping in Pleasant View except one trip to the Costco in Nashville. In fact, Willow Pond and Pleasant View were so nice that we only made one trip into Nashville. The property itself has been kept up very well and was spotless when we arrived. Highlights of the property are the "very private" pool/deck areas, Theater room, comfy living room for late night relaxing/conversation and the huge front porch which was great to watch sunsets from. Overall, this is a great property. We would definitely recommend."

Kelly's Jubilee is a beautiful property with lots of scenic views and plenty of fun things to explore. Our room was lovely, and when we arrived there was a beautiful flower arrangement and snacks waiting for us. The hot tub was readily accessible and easy to use, and Kelly was communicative and easy to reach for the few questions we did have. She even reached out after we left one of our pillows to help figure out how to get it back to us. We both said to each other we wanted to come back and stay another time (perhaps in one of the other cool spots, like the pirate ship or the covered wagon). This beautiful treehouse is a 3 story structure. The very top is a deck that overlooks the creek and the gorgeous landscape. The main floor is the one in the photographs on the listing.

There is also a newly renovated bottom floor, with a private entrance. We are not renting it out on its own because we feel it would interfere with your privacy. (No one wants to hear the noisy neighbor’s below) If you have a larger group and want to add in more sleeping space we can rent it separately. Currently, the room is equipped with a queen Murphy bed and a twin cot. A coffee maker, mini-fridge toaster, and microwave are also included. This space has heat and ac.

This is a 50 plus acre property with 7 homes. One of the homes is the original homestead, an authentic log cabin. The land has hiking trails, a labyrinth, a pond to fish (catch and release), and a creek that runs year-round. There are several other rentals on the farm. A civil war cabin, an ark, a four-story lighthouse tower (that is where we live), and there is even a meeting hall.

There is a new private hot tub. On the other side of the treehouse, there is a shared hot tub and adjoining deck with the mansion. The mansion is usually only rented on the weekends. I have blocked off most of the weekends for this year to avoid possible conflicts for people who don’t want to share the outdoor space.

The room was everything we could’ve wanted! The grounds are beautiful with lots to see. Was only about 30 minutes from Nashville which I think is perfect. Downfall is the bathroom is on the outside and looked like the bathroom entrance was covered by the ring camera. Every time I went to the bathroom in the late night I would see the glow of the camera when I came out. Scared me the first time."

Knotty and Nice Chalet located in on a tranquil 150 acres that is secluded, quiet and picturesque. You feel like you are in the woods with the large windows. You can relax on the screen porch and enjoy the gas fire pit or enjoy the 5 miles of trails on the property. An outdoor wood burning fire pit (wood is provided) and a treehouse for the kids are next to the Chalet. The Knotty and Nice Chalet is located on Paradise Ranch & Retreat in Springfield Tennessee, only half an hour from Nashville. The ranch is spread across 150 acres of wooded rolling hills, with multiple horse pastures and five miles of hiking and biking trails. Exploring the well-maintained trails will take you to many scenic overlooks, private gazebos and benches, creek side sitting areas and beautiful ponds. If you bring boots you can wade across the slow moving Carr creek with 3-4 inches of water depth to the 50 acres on the other side with several miles of trails.
Fishing, catch & release is available on Carr Creek and a pond on the property. A treehouse is nearby on the property with a small climbing wall and swing. Knotty and Nice chalet is a place you can enjoy private time with a special someone, family, or friends.

The kitchen includes modern stainless steel appliances to include fridge/freezer, dish washer, range and oven, coffee maker with a selection of coffee and tea, waffle maker, cookware, and dinnerware. The kitchen island seats three and a dining room table.

The living room features several chairs and a couch, a large gas fireplace, and 65 in. HD Smart TV. 250mbps business-class high-speed Internet/WiFi is provided throughout the cabin.

The downstairs has two bedrooms, one is with a king bed that can be converted to two twin beds. The other bedroom has a queen bed. Both bedrooms each have 55 in. HD Smart TVs. This place is fantastic! A feast for your eyes. Beautiful inside and out. The Mansion is a three-story building with an elevator. The bottom floor is not yet completed, so we don't have pictures posted, but there is a full bathroom that large groups may have access to if needed. We ask that groups also book the neighboring small treehouse. They are separate rentals that share a deck and the hot tub is currently near the smaller treehouse. I have blocked off all weekends to have the smaller treehouse available for mansion guests to book on request. I want all of our guests to have the best experience possible. For example, if a couple is renting the small treehouse and next door in the mansion they are having a gathering it could affect the quiet enjoyment of their stay. Groups that rent both treehouses will have an exclusive private experience with no shared decks or hot tubs. It is a win-win for all involved.

It’s on such a beautiful property surrounded by trees and a stream on one side. There are a few other cabins there, but they’re far enough apart that you still have privacy. Pros: very clean and decorated nicely with plants everywhere. 2 outdoor porches available to hang out on. They had disney+ on the tv. Internet worked great. Towels and washcloths were super plush (and different colors! Which is very helpful for multiple family members/friends). The sheets were so soft that I looked for the tag to go buy some of my own. Cons: the property isn’t super close to Nashville, maybe a 30 min drive. The house makes up for it being an actual dream."

There are many beautiful places to explore and hike. Kroger and Walmart are 1.5 miles away.
Nashville is a short 30 ish minute drive.

We are 10 minutes from downtown Springfield and 5 minutes from Kroger. Uber and Lyft are not available in Springfield, but we give rides for a fee. Uber and Lyft are available back to the property from Nashville. Also, there is plenty of parking.

This property is located in a lush and nature-filled environment. There are many species of animals and insects that live here. It is against the law to spray outside for flying insects because the house is located near the water. Bug spray is a good idea in summer months to avoid mosquito bites. We do spray inside, but there are still occasional insects, wasps or bees. There are many wonderful birds to watch, including owls, great blue herons, wild turkey, cardinals, and songbirds. The koi pond and creek attract many animals. There is a freshwater otter family that lives on the north side of the property. Unfortunately, there is the occasional snake, please be mindful. If hiking beware of poison ivy.

Welcome to the Draughon House, a five-bedroom home with both historic and modern features. The home is just north of Springfield, TN and a short drive to both Nashville and Clarksville. The home retains several of the original 1930s and mid-century decorations and features, but it includes modern updates and conveniences for today's travelers and families.

The former residents were pioneers in middle Tennessee broadcasting and gasoline distribution businesses. Vintage pictures of the businesses and the middle Tennessee area are on display.

The home features a sunroom, dining room, living room, den, and outside patio areas for eating and relaxing. There are great spaces for quiet conversation and alone time.

The sunroom has two tables and a vintage couch glider to enjoy beautiful views of farmland, mature trees, an antique gasoline pump, and more. The tables have seating for 9 people.

The formal dining room has a table that seats up to 10 people. It opens into a lovely living room with a comfortable sofa, chairs, and other antique furniture.

The den has a sofa and chairs for relaxing and visiting. A buffet and cabinet contain games and puzzles; they can be enjoyed on a game table in the room.

The full kitchen has plenty of counter space, a double oven for the chefs, a toaster oven, and a microwave. The custom cabinets are stocked with utensils, cookware and dishes.

The arched front door and original transoms are a few of the architectural features of the home. A piano graces the foyer.

The base rate is for a group of up to eight people, but the home can have up to twelve guests. There is a $25 per person per night charge for over eight guests, with no more than twelve guests allowed.

The house was in a country setting and the houses and yards on either side were not well kept which was not very pleasant to look at. The railroad track was very close and it was very loud when there was a train passing through which was a little startling the first time we heard it. I would give the home a 3 on its decor, as it was outdated and the railing on the front porch was peeling and needed a new paint job. The new deck on the back was very well done and very spacious, however the seating did not have any cushions in them and were not comfortable to sit in at all. Overall, I would give this property a 4."
