Whispering Waters Cabin was built in the late 1940's adjacent to a great spring in rural Northwestern Williamson County. The structure did not have any indoor plumbing until 1992, when I got tired of using the outhouse and washing in the creek under the bridge. The setting is surrounded by woods and lots of water, wildlife critters and many varieties of birds, including my two favorites; the Wood Thrush and seasonal Humming Birds. It's a quiet spot in an otherwise busy and congested world, that offers a safe haven for as long as the guest wishes to stay. The front porch is a wonderful resting spot to listen to the creek and birds. The cabin itself has only four rooms, but they are spacious and inviting. The fully supplied kitchen is ready for "gourmet" visitors interested in all things "gastronomical"! Or simply order out! There is on the property a large organic garden that I tend to all year, and a berry patch with in season blueberries galore! Nuff said -

- "The pictures are nice but do not do the place justice. This old, updated farmhouse getaway was absolutely perfect. It's remote, located along a creek in a narrow valley but still only 15 minutes from a Publix. The host was very generous and respectful of our privacy. The road in front is low-traffic and perfect for an easy evening walk with our pup Nebo. For a small square footage, the floor plan gives the feel of a much larger place than we thought it would be from the outside. We would easily return!"

The Red Roof Cabin is a cozy little cabin that makes a perfect getaway from the busy city. It’s located in a rural neighborhood, surrounded by trees, and sits 150ft away from the street. 35 minutes to downtown Nashville. Cal-King Premium Nectar Main Bed and 2 full-size floor mattresses! Sit around the fire pit and enjoy the trees, wildlife, and natural stream nearby that makes for a nice relaxing experience with the beauty Tennessee has to offer! The cabin is located on 3+ wooded acres. Dogs are welcome too (max 2- 40lbs ea). Bring plenty of firewood for the fire pit and wood burning fireplace!

- "Beautiful wooded setting. We enjoyed the outdoor seating areas, watching deers and turkeys roaming in the yard, and listening to the many birds as well as the creek just past the firepit. There was a bit of traffic noise but the cars were few and far between. Overall very peaceful. (Try the Merlin app to identify all the different birds, it's pretty cool!) The cabin is beautifully decorated - small but cozy and comfortable, and very clean. Felt like home! The beds were really comfy and we slept great. Air conditioning was awesome after hiking on a hot day! Hosts were helpful and very responsive. One of our best VRBO stays ever. I would recommend on your first day there, try to arrive before dark. The roads are quite curvy with not a lot of street lights so you may have trouble finding the cabin if it's dark out."

Just 30 miles from downtown Nashville, and only minutes from Historic Leipers Fork. This cabin was built on Ed Bruce's old place. Ed wrote the song, "Mama Don't Let Your Babies Grow Up To Be Cowboys" and with that success, he purchased some of the area's most desirable land! The Lyric Log House is set up for extended conversations around the fireplace, board games and puzzles in the game room, and enjoying a fresh cup of coffee on the deck. Outdoor activities include a swimming pool (open from Memorial Day to end of September), hot tub (open year-round), a fire pit, and 18 acres of land where you might see deer & turkey roaming freely.

The scale of the home is ideal for extended family gatherings and getaway vacations. The well-stocked kitchen and huge dining room is perfect for large family dinners. Curl up with a good book in the cozy sitting rooms or spend a quiet morning on your bedroom balcony, sipping tea and watching the birds begin their day. The remote setting will also allow you to enjoy the night sky with star gazing or a roaring bonfire.

The winding country roads leading to this secluded estate are picture postcard perfect. No wonder so many celebrities call this unique part of the Nashville area home. The proximity to Nashville's legendary Music Row also makes it the perfect temporary residence for recording artists and entertainment professionals looking for a little peace and quiet during their Nashville stay. The pastoral setting also makes the Lyric Lane cabin perfect for retreats or reunions. The reason why we state "not suitable for children" is because nothing in the house is child-proof! We don't have any child protection inside for the stairs, sockets, furniture, layout, etc and we don't have any child items, such as cribs, high chairs, sippy cups, etc. That being said, we have had plenty of guests come with children who have thoroughly enjoyed our home! We just want to make everyone aware of the fact that there is no child proofing! Children are welcome! (Limit 16 people total staying overnight).

- "This is a beautiful, well appointed home with all the amenities you could need. It felt incredibly spacious for a group of 8 and everyone was comfortable. The pool was great for the hot summer days and hot tub a beautiful spot at night. Little things like having Tupperware, two refrigerators, tons of towels showed us that these hosts have thought of everything a group could need. Our hosts also provided a comprehensive guide to the home which we referenced several times and was very helpful. We spent most mornings at the home before venturing into downtown Franklin or Nashville and it was a great home base. The gravel parts of the road in were a little tricky with one of our cars (a sedan) but we quickly got comfortable. I would stay here again in a heartbeat!"

- "This guesthouse was larger in person than I was expecting from the photos. The main living area was quite big, with a sectional sofa, dining set, additional twin bed, and still plenty of extra room to move about. The loft bed was a favorite for the kids, and the main bed was comfortable. The bathroom was also spacious and clean with lots of storage and hooks for hanging towels and swim suits. There is an AC unit that cooled the entire space, although it did feel a bit humid inside for our stay…. But we were there during a heat advisory in the middle of a hot Tennessee summer so that may have had something to do with the humidity!! :) We rented the space in addition to the lodge, so we really appreciated how close it was to the main house. People staying in the guesthouse still felt like part of the group and easily went back and forth from lodge to guest house throughout the stay. I would definitely recommend this space!"

We live in the Log House next to the apartment. We are quiet people, but country life happens, so you may hear the tractor, us outside, or the garage door open and close. But we think you'll find our place more peaceful and accommodating than a hotel.

We have two sweet dogs on the property. Rosie Jean is the brown one, and Ralphie is the white one. You may hear the occasional barking at the deer/wildlife.

Onsite parties or group events are strictly prohibited.

Built in 2020 this unique property is set in a beautiful country setting among a plethora of mature trees and over 400 foot of private creek on 3.5 acres!

PLAY! Just steps away from the home is our barn boasting brand new state of the art indoor pickleball courts. Professional court surfacing and nets, adequate spacing, and the building is fully enclosed, insulated, and heated and cooled!

- "This was a great property for our multi-family annual trip. Its location is convenient to Franklin and Nashville. We would absolutely rent this again! My girls loved this one! Good: -Love the decor - practical but gorgeous! -plenty of rooms to fit adults and kiddos -Beds were super comfortable! -Had all of the linens, utensils, appliances you need -wifi was good and we had 9 people and no issues -Upstairs shower was great - my girls want one just like it now! -the pool table was a hit! Things to consider: just a note that when you get into the downstairs bath to shower, the shower curtain liner sucks in around you - kinda of disorientating. I'm guessing a heavy shower liner would solve that easy. It's a beautiful tub and bathroom! -the outdoor seating area needs to be fixed up a little. Some of the hanging lights were down and the gas fire table they have wasn't connected. They do have a fire ring down by the creek but it was a little overgrown. We had no desire to sit by the fire pit since it was July hot but just something helpful for cooler months. -The pictures don't quite indicate that, while it is on 3+ acres and it is relatively private, it is JUST off the road. You can see in the top flr windows from the road. Still not an issue for us as it was pretty private. -Fire alarm started chirping while we were there-it took a little while to get a response and my husband had to remove it. Owner was out of country and responded later. Overall, we loved it!"

The Homestead at GratiDude Ranch is minutes to Leipers Fork. Sleeping up to 14 guests, groups can enjoy having this entire property to themselves which offers three separate spaces on the property; a farmhouse style contemporary Ranch House that sleeps 6, a Carriage House & Loft that is a fun and unique space that sleeps 6, and a storybook Cottage that sleeps 2. The Homestead is our newest opportunity for larger groups to truly enjoy a country chic experience offering three separate lodging spaces on the same property. The Ranch House is the main house that is a 3 bedroom / 2bath , space and can sleep 8. It has a fully stocked gourmet chef kitchen, gorgeous dining patio, and a back porch with a fireplace. The property also offers an 11 seat swim spa hot tub.

In addition to the Ranch house, a Carriage House offers an open concept space in a remodeled barn and features a queen and twin bed, full kitchen, and full bathroom as well as an optional private loft to accommodate three additional overnight guests sleeping at total of 6 comfortably. The Carriage House kitchen is also fully stocked with cooking supplies and utensils. The private back porch overlooks gorgeous views and has an in-ground park style grill.

Lastly, The Homestead offers an additional storybook Cottage. This quaint space inspired by Roald Dahls 'Writing Hut' has a king bed and kitchenette and is perfect for a couple or individual.

Both, the Carriage House and Cottage structures have antique wood stoves to keep you warm on a cold winter's night. The Ranch House has a gas fireplace that is a beautiful feature in the home.

When not enjoying visiting with our 20+ farm animals, feel free to read, relax or swing in our event barn on site that guests are welcome to enjoy, eating outside as a group in our event barn space or simply enjoying morning coffee in this community gathering area. There is plenty of room for everyone to gather in the main ranch house double kitchen or the dining room patio that can easily seat 12.

PLEASE NOTE: During our in-season period, May - November, dinner events are hosted twice per month in the event barn space on the Homestead property. Guests are welcome to purchase tickets to these events. The events are held on Saturday evenings from 5:30 - 9:30PM. We also book kids birthday parties on Saturday afternoons. An event could be booked during your stay so we suggest inquiring whether an event is booked over your stay if this is a potential issue for your group.

We utilized almost the entire space, perhaps short of the outdoor fireplace :) Including hosting a family reunion in the event barn, which was a fantastic way to see everyone without even having to leave the grounds. Swim spa was very useful during the hot days and even at night - when the adults wanted a little time to unwind. Hosts were very responsive and attentive during our stay. All the kids loved the animals. My only note to future renters is that there is only one "adult" bedroom in the Ranch House that is private (there is a also a twin room). The other queen room is closed off by a curtain off of the main kitchen, which we didn't realize from the original pictures. And that kitchen can get a little noisy as the main cooking space for the large group."
