I had reserved and paid the insurance of $5 per person for a room with one queen bed, but got a double room with beds not quite big enough for two people to sleep comfortably. The tub was stained yellow from over use. We were in a first-floor room, but the ceiling abover the beds were water-stained. The caulking around the bathtub that is supposedtobe off white was black. The water valves for the bathtub turned 360 without shutting off. They don't do a very good job cleaning their toilets. "

- "Top notch!!" - "Great location. House has comfortable beds enough for 1 family. We enjoyed boating with our dogs and nice backyard porch. We had couple small issues which eventually resolved. Only issue we had was getting ahold of anyone to try to resolve any problems. There was supposed to be 24/7 assistance in the area and we never got any response on provided phone number. Only contact was through email and it took several hours or days to actually hear back. Fortunately we didn’t have a big problem and would definitely come back. Hopefully communication will improve."

- "Wonderful property and owners!" - "House is comfortable, kitchen has everything you'd need. Might need to make a trip to the store for essentials if staying more than a couple days. Walmart, Aldis, Dollar General, Meijer nearby. The bathrooms/showers are wonderful. The beds were all comfortable. We rented a pontoon down the lake a ways and swam off of it. Around $200 a day... made for a fun day. No tubing, though... unless you have your own boat. Everyone enjoyed the kayaks as well. Paddle boat and canoe also available. Life jackets available. You can fish or swim off the dock. Huge sand box area that our grandson spent hours in with his dozers and trucks and the sand toys they provided. The deck was awesome for the littles... completely safe and fenced in. We mostly ate out there. It would be really nice to have some reclining options on the deck... hammock, recliners, a swing bed would be AMAZING. lol. We enjoyed the fire pit for s'mores as well."

The main floor bedroom has a Queen sized bed, while the sleeping loft has 3 twin beds and the lower level bedroom is furnished with a Queen sized bed, comfortable for sleeping 5-7 people. The spacious upper living room is furnished with sofa and loveseat while the lower level family room has a sofa, chairs and 46" television and DVD player. The kitchen is perfect for dining as it is equipped with gas stove, coffee maker, microwave, and counter top dining. Situated on the East side of Beautiful Morrison Lake near the Country Club of Coldwater, vacationers are sure to enjoy the beautiful patio, plentiful panfish, boating, tubing and wonderful sunsets.

Spend the day away, enjoying nearby attractions such as golfing at the Country Club of Coldwater (Public Welcome), fishing, boating, swimming, and relaxing in the sun. In the evening, enjoy a nice movie at one of only a few remaining Drive In Theatre. Dining can be enjoyed at the home, in downtown Coldwater, or even accessed at restaurants on the Lakes. Morrison Lake is one of 7 lakes that are connected by channels and are accessible by boat/pontoon

- "We were looking for a house on a lake for a few days of absolute peace and quiet. This was the perfect choice. The house was lovely, with a perfect lakefront view. And most of the time, there was hardly any activity on the lake. On Saturday, the lake got really lively and we enjoyed watching families waterskiing, jet skiing, and tubing, or just cruising around the lake in pontoon boats. Then, about dinnertime, everyone left the lake quiet again. It would be nice if the house had more than one bathroom, but we knew that was the case before we rented it."

Our 1700 sq ft open concept cottage recently received a complete renovation. It has all new flooring, new quartz countertops and faucets in the kitchen and bathrooms, new paint throughout, nearly all new beds and many other improvements. All of our cookware is new or like new condition. All of our bed linens and house/swim towels are new or like new condition. Our cottage is fresh and CLEAN and organized for your arrival. All pictures are 100% accurate to the home and property. We try very hard to make your stay as relaxing as possible by making sure the cottage has everything you need and is in good working order.

In 2022 we completely rebuilt our lake side deck with new composite decking and added a roof over it. The covered deck/ porch is 16ft x 32ft with lots of relaxing space and a full dining area over looking the lake. We also added a "whole home" Generac natural gas generator so that the entire cottage never loses power, AC or internet during storms. New pictures have been added.

We have 1 pontoon boat that can be rented daily or weekly. The boat is a 2021 Bennington 20ft with a 50hp engine with seating capacity for 10. The boat runs and looks like new condition. Pictures are shown and a price rate sheet can be sent per request. You can also bring your own fishing /ski/ pontoon boat or JetSkis and park them at our dock during your stay. Plenty of onsite parking for a boat trailer(s) if needed.

Our lake front has 100ft of water frontage facing East across Craig Lake for fantastic sunrises and protection from the hot summer sun in the afternoon and evening under the cover deck and when the sun sets behind the house. There is a new 30ft dock that is great for swimming or fishing off of. A large lakeside yard to play games, stretch out in the sun or for bonfires overlooking the lake. Our large lakeside deck/covered porch has a large 4 burner propane grill, dining table with 6chairs, 1 high top table with 2 tall bar stools; lounge area with patio couch, 2 large comfy chairs and a full size refrigerator. The entire deck/porch area is now covered with a metal roof and ceiling fan where you watch the sunrise while enjoying your morning coffee, but it is all shade by about 1pm when it starts to get hot. The roof also allows you to stay outside and enjoy the deck during light to moderate rain. There are 5 kayaks, 1 standup paddle board, and several water floaties for use in the shed, SOME life jackets and 2 adult sized bicycles included in the cottage rental cost. There are several yard games in the shed as well (corn hole set, Kube, bocce ball set, some others). See the shed pics.

Inside the cottage is an open concept ranch style layout with plenty of room to settle in and stretch out. There are 2 living room areas with couches and TV's in each. A very well supplied kitchen with lots of counter space, an island and large breakfast bar counter area are next to the dining room. The dining room table seats 6-8 with 4 more seats at the breakfast bar right next to it. There is a sliding glass door going to the covered deck from the dining room and another deck access door off of the kitchen. Good views of the yard and lake from inside the house!

The master bedroom has a king bed with master bath ensuite and walk in closet. There is a desk/office space in the MBR for those who need a private office for a work-cation stay or occasional Zoom meeting and work duties. Our 2nd BR has a queen bed with full size closet and a dresser. The 3rd BR has 2 full sized beds and a dresser. There are also 2 fold out sleeper couches - 1 in each of the living room areas. We will supply some starter toilet paper, paper towels, basic soaps and some light cleaning supplies to get you started. But you should bring, or buy locally, everything you need for your stay as we do not replenish any consumables. Swim/bath towels, bed linens, pillows, blankets, etc. are supplied.

We have SOME life jackets of various sizes for use, but to be sure there are enough of the correct size for each person in your party is recommended that you bring all of your own life jackets or risk not having what you need from our collection. You can ask what we have just prior to your arrival.

Craig Lake is 1 of 7 lakes in the "North Chain" of lakes in Branch County. All lakes in this chain are "all sports lakes" (fishing and water skiing/ tubing allowed). There are apprx. 11miles of waterway from the River Rd bridge back through the chain of lakes and channels to where the Coldwater and Sauk Rivers feed into South Lake/ Messenger Lake area. All of this waterway is navigable by power boat or kayak. The entire chain of lakes is apprx 1200acres. The fishing throughout the chain is excellent with bass, bluegill, crappie, perch and pike as the main species. There is a sandbar area boat hangout on Randall Lake (we have auger poles in our rental pontoon so you can hangout there if desired). 1 golf course and multiple restaurants are reachable by boat along the chain (Coldwater Golf Course/ Bill's Grill House/ Bill's Tap House and Pizza Parlor and Willows Bar). There is a hand dipped ice cream shop and party store across Craig Lake from our cottage (Country Cove Store) also reachable by boat or kayak.

We really enjoyed the lake. Rented a pontoon boat and cruised around lake a bunch of times and anchored at the sand bar for afternoon relaxation on the lake. Shallow but clean lake, with a considerable amount of nature preserve as shoreline. Great stay!"

Beautiful 1900 sq. ft 120 ft. Lake front cottage on Rose Lake, also known as Lake of the Woods. Pontoon boat included with cottage rental! The pontoon is a 2011 Avalon that seats 10. The boat is equipped with 10 life vest. Dock space for your extras: speedboat/jet ski etc. Sleeps 10, Master/King with spectacular lake view, open to master bath with double sink and walk in closet. 2nd bedroom/queen, 3rd bedroom double bunks (sleeps 4). 2nd full bath with tub/shower. Laundry room with new washer/dryer, with attached half bath. Kitchen has a large island, dishwasher, microwave, range oven/stove top, large refrigerator and is open to family area with large sectional/sleeper sofa. Great views of lake from family area with sliding door entry to upper level deck. Our basement is an additional entertainment area/game room which includes a foosball table, table/chairs with a beach theme to relax in after a long day on the lake! Two kayaks, one paddle board and access to: Gaga ball pit, volleyball net, and boat ramp. Towels and bedding included.

We have plenty of space for your vacation toys! Bring your kayak, paddle board, or boat and launch from our front yard or the free public boat ramp on the lake. We have space for you to secure your boat alongside our dock. Grab sidewalk chalk for our large driveway or have an epic squirt gun battle by the lake. Pack a ball to kick around the yard or inflatable floats for some sunbathing while floating on the lake.

On rainy days, we've got you covered! We have a large collection of board games, books, DVDs, and jigsaw puzzles. And nothing is better than a quiet nap while listening to the rain drops on the roof. A rainy day is also a great day to check out the entertainment offerings in our area!

Nearby you will find a diverse choice of entertainment including golfing, Satek Winery, theaters, Outlet Mall, dining, antique shopping, bowling, horseback riding, go-carting, movies, hiking at Pokagon State Park, and Wild Buffalo Farms.
The property is also a short 30-minute car ride to the Auburn/Cord Duesenberg Museum. The WWII Victory Museum is also located in Auburn. Another tourist attraction is Shipshewana, Indiana, an area defined by its Mennonite and Amish communities about 45 minutes by car. Blueberry picking is 20 minutes away in season.

Watch the beautiful sunsets right from the cottage. Sip coffee feet from the waters edge or enjoy the view from the large living room. Play yard games right by the water. Kids love catching turtles and frogs right in the lilly pads. This cottage has everything for your stay. We only had to use the AC once to remove the humidity and that worked very well. Our first evening there we couldn't find the remote for the DVD player. We contacted Josh and he brought a new DVD player first thing the next morning. He is a very pleasant and personable host . WiFi works well . We brought our own boat and enjoyed spending the days on the chain of lakes . You can pull up to Shorts Marina and they have everything you need from drinks and food to laundry soap. We recommend trying Oscar Brown's Tavern at the golf course , food was great with reasonable prices and good service. Would recommend for your Coldwater stay."
