It was deep winter with snow every night and the lot was cleared in a timely manner. When my lock froze in the sub zero F temps the staff was very responsive getting me back into my room. To be respectful of the neighbors, please be mindful of noise levels between 10pm. to 7am. Any complaints from neighbors will incur a $50 fee enforceable by renting the property.

The bedroom has a queen size bed and an antique youth bed (longer and thinner). The bunkhouse has a vaulted ceiling and 8ft interior soft walls.The living room has 2 sofas that convert to queen size sleepers. With air conditioning, 43” flat screen TV, gas fireplace, WIFI but no satellite, no phone. The bathroom has a 4” step in tiled shower with a vanity and vesicle sink. The kitchenette is minimal NO ONE WANTS TO GO ON VACATION AND COOK ALL THE TIME. Table and 4 chairs, with mini refrigerate, toaster oven, microwave, coffee pot, dishes, cups and silverware.( No oven, pots or pans.)

Your outside living space includes a patio, glider, fire pit and Blackstone griddle. Plus lots of green grass and acres to roam on. Sit on your wood glider and watch the sun go down over the water. Relax by the 4ft above ground shared pool, fish from the pier or drive the John Deere Gator to either of the 2- 10 acre woods. Walk or bike on the safe, mowed paths. Visit the 2 primitive cabins as well ( if there are no campers). Look for the deer, wild turkeys, Sand Hill Cranes, Osprey's, Owls and more. Pet the horse Fame (a paint ) maybe she will let you give her a slice of apple.

You can bring your own tackle, poles and bait.You are welcomed to rent the mini pontoon ( runs by a trolling motor) or fishing boat for fishing inside the private lake. Life jackets and flotations cushions provided and MUST be one per person in each boat. Fishing is catch and release or you are welcome to keep and cleaning. We do not supply any cleaning supplies. So you need to bring your own. Non swimmers MUST wear life jackets. We are NOT responsible for accidents.

Mirror Lake is ALL about getting away from it ALL. But still have all the amenities. Although mirror lake bunkhouse is located in the middle of Amish lifestyle. Within 2 miles is the back roads tavern restaurant. Within 4 miles is the local restaurant Coody Brown’s located on Witmer Lake. . And just 4 miles straight down Northport Road, is ‘Sylvan Cellars’ tasting room. Many times they have entertainment and bands. You can also call ‘Sylvan Cellars’ party bus and they will come to mirror Lake and pick you up and bring you home safely.

Mirror Lake takes you away from all the pressures of life, stress of the traffic, noise and congestion. Here there are few people & no crowds. Mirror Lake Bunkhouse is a place to sit back relax, take it easy, take in nature and reconnect with each other and nature as well.

There is a spacious deck overlooking the lake with table seating for 6 and a comfy seating area with an optional large umbrella for shade. There is also a charcoal grill for your convenience and a hammock in the back yard to relax in. You’ll enjoy your own sandy beach area. There is also a 8’ wide 48’ long dock what is shared with the house on the left facing the lake with electric for your boat. We also have 14 foot fishing boat with tiller steering for rent at $150/daily. Messick Lake is a fishing lake that is attached to 4 other lakes you can easily access by boat- 2 others that are also fishing lakes and 2 that are fish and ski lakes with no curfew on tubing or skiing. You’ll also find a restaurant you can access by boat on one of the lakes! The cabin although small is comfortable and enjoyable with 2 bedrooms - 1 with a queen size bed and 1 with a full size bed. There is AC and heat in the cabin for your comfort. The living room has an oversized chair, couch that could sleep 1 adult or kif, 1 futon that can sleep 2 adults, and upon request we can provide 2 extra cots. The cabin is fully stocked with a full size fridge, stove, coffee pot (we provide the filters), pots and pans and silverware, just bring your food and beverages! The beds have clean and fresh linens, and weekend stays will enjoy 6 clean bath towels while full week stays will enjoy 10 clean bath towels. There are Adult (2 included) and kid Kayaks (2 available and included), additional kayaks ($12) to rent as well as well as a canoe ($15). There are many walking trails and parks nearby to enjoy and local restaurants. There is also a nice boat launch next to the property! - "This is a beautiful, updated property. This guest house has great beds & plenty of space to move around inside & out. The shower worked great & furniture was very comfortable. Very beautifully decorated and one of the cleanest places I have ever stayed. The owners were responsive & friendly. There is no air-conditioning, but to be fair, the discription did not list AC. The fans worked well & were very quiet. The guest house was a bit close to the owners home & the road. I did not expect this based on the pictures of the home. We enjoyed our stay & highly recommend this property. Thank you."

Minor step into the home and into the bathtub/shower. This house is fully stocked for you to walk in with your overnight bag and groceries.

House can be set for a single person to enjoy a nice king size room or for family and friends. With a king size bedroom set with a full size bed, a room with a queen size bunk bed with a twin on top, and a twin trundled underneath.
Please note- as of Oct.17, we have pulled in the red cushions. There is alternate furniture to use on porch.
We are in winter weather. The new heating system is controlled by a remote and the bedroom and bath have separate heating systems.
We don’t use the baseboard heat since the furniture is right against the walls. Be sure to lick the doir using the key pad when you leave. The door handle lock will lock you out as you leave.

- "Rhoda and Tom were wonderful. The cottage was perfect for a short getaway. Many cute features. Loved the farm setting and the animals. Rhoda's flowers were meticulously groomed all over the property along with a thriving garden. Thomas was gracious enough to let us try our hand at milking cows and bottle feeding calves. The location is perfectly nestled amongst beautiful farm land and the sound of horses hooves can be heard daily. We will definitely return again when it's time to unplug and recenter. This is the real deal...as life was intended to be!"

This fully-renovated cottage is full of charm and everything you need for a restful break at the lake! Whether you find yourself kayaking on the water (3kayaks provided for use during your stay), grilling on the patio, or catching a break from the heat inside watching your favorite show (smart T.V and internet provided during stay) you are sure to always be doing something you love! There also will be a boat available for rent separately if you are interested in cruising the lakes that way! After a long day at the lake, grab a bite to eat at one of the local restaurants nearby or cook in our fully-equipped kitchen! On a rainy day, enjoy some game time with the games provided or take a quick 20-minute drive Shipshewana (a tourist town full of Amish heritage, shopping, restaurants, flea market, and more!).

This charming lake cottage has been remodeled with 2 bedrooms (1 master bedroom with a Queen size bed and 1 additional bedroom with a Queen bed as well!) There is a master bath with tub and shower along with a half-bath. Enjoy the sun as it shines through the beautiful open-concept kitchen and living space with a couch along with a bench, chair and bar stools for additional seating. Additionally, a closet with extra linens and beach towels are provided. A laundry room with a washer and dryer is also provided for your convenience!

The entire cottage is available for you to enjoy! Parking is provided for up to 3 vehicles in the drive-way. There will be 3 kayaks and a gas grill provided during your stay. No need to bring your own beach towels unless you want to, but if you would like to float in the lake, please bring your own floats! A pontoon is available for rent separately with advanced notice. We have added a paddle boat that you are welcome to use at no charge.
A key pad is located on the main door nearest to the drive-way. Upon booking your stay, you will be provided a unique code in order to enter the cottage during your stay.

You will be within walking distance to The Pumpkinvine Nature Trail with miles of trails for biking, walking,etc! This cozy cottage has access to Ship Lake which is a great fishing lake! The Living Room and Dining room are very spacious,open concept and an awesome place to hang out with your family and friends! Living room has Dish Tv with a 65” flatscreen to relax and watch a movie or the big game! The Kitchen has new stainless appliances and is stocked with utensils,small appliances like toaster,blender,hot water kettle,air fryer,pots pans etc! The main level Bedroom has a King bed with chest of drawers and a closet for your clothes. The Full Bath is right outside the Master Bath and is stocked with towels,washcloths! The back entrance serves as a mud room, and has a Washer and Dryer for your use should you need it. Going upstairs (side note,the upstairs was an add on so the stairs are narrow) you will have a landing room that has a Full bed and also a Sofa couch that easily flips out to a bed perfect for kids to sleep on. The landing room has a Flatscreen that also has Dish Tv so your kids can watch their own shows while you watch yours in the Living Room! The upstairs also has a Bedroom with a queen Bed!
