You'll have a restful night's sleep listening to the bullfrogs at night. The bathroom features a jetted bathtub and shower. Stay connected with WiFi and enjoy the cool breeze with AC. We have plenty of games and firestick tv but you probably would rather enjoy the sand volleyball lakeside or have a bonfire at our fire pit. You can roast hot dogs but if you prefer there is a new natural gas Weber grill that we will share. Our kids are grown and we live over the attached garage so you won’t hear or hardly see us since we both work full time. We hope you enjoy what our cottage and Lake George has to offer.

The only thing that was a little unexpected from the listing was that we didn't realize the cottage was directly connected to the owner's new home build-on. Tracey was awesome with her communication regarding what is there, i.e. extra cots, how many refrigerators etc.... and for just about any question you may ask. I cannot comment on renting the pontoon etc...since we were golfing but a great place for reunions, families etc.... see you next year." - "We rented this property for a family vacation and appreciated its proximity to the beach. The home had plenty of space for seven adults and two kids, and the extra building with the hot tub, pool table, and table tennis was great to be able to use! We also appreciated that we could use the golf cart to get to and from the beach. The cottage has a full kitchen, dining area, living room, two bedrooms (one with a queen bed and one with a full/twin bunkbed), and a full bath. The sofa in the living room is a queen sleeper sofa. The maximum number of guests is 5. This is a true tiny house, but when you are at the lake you are there to enjoy the outdoors, and we have plenty of outdoors available :-)

The kitchen is stocked with dinnerware, flatware, pots and pans, small appliances including coffeemaker (full pot and Keurig), toaster, mixer, etc. Bed linens, kitchen towels, bath and hand towels are provided (please bring your own beach towels).

There is a Roku/Smart TV with Blu-ray DVD player in the living room and a Roku/Smart TV in the lakeside bedroom with the queen bed. The cottage is stocked with a variety of children and family games.

If the nights are cool there is heat and if it gets too warm there is air conditioning. We upgraded to a high efficency mini-split heating/air conditioning system in 2024, eliminating the need for the window air conditioner.

The Hilltop Hideaway is located at the end of the lane so there is almost no traffic and the cottage is positioned at the top of a hill that overlooks the lake. The front deck is the full width of the cottage and has railings and latching gates to keep the little ones (kids or dogs) contained. The deck has a patio table and chairs, as well as a propane grill (propane provided). Make use of the fire pit to enjoy evening campfires, roasting hot dogs, and consuming s'mores.

The cottage faces to the east, and is overlooking the lake toward an undeveloped portion of the lake's shoreline, this adds the the natural beauty of the view of the lake.

You will have a private 30’ dock where you can tie up your boat(s). Please let us know if you plan on bringing a boat or jetski. Note - The dock is removed around the end of Sept/early October and will be reinstalled in late April/early May.

There is a very large sandy beach at the base of the hill, right in front of the cottage with a large swimming area that has a sandy bottom and a gradual slope. Our association has about 900 feet of shared shoreline.

The owner's cottage is located next door and has two kayaks, a stand-up paddleboard, two paddle boats, a rowboat, and an Otter Island swim raft available for your enjoyment. The "water toys" are available normally from the end of April/early May through the end of Sept/early October. The swim raft is normally removed from the water in early Sept and put back in service around mid May.

Little Long Lake is a 154-acre spring-fed lake that spans the IN/MI state line, with the lake about evenly split with half of the lake in Indiana and half in Michigan. There are times designated for high speed fun such as waterskiing, tubing, or wakeboarding and also no-wake times to allow for peaceful fishing or lazy cruises around the lake. The Michigan half of the lake’s high speed times are 11am-7:30pm, while the entire lake allows high speed from 1pm-4pm. There is a concrete public boat ramp on the MI side. Those that enjoy fishing regularly catch largemouth bass, bluegill, crappie, and perch.

The WiFi in the area was recently upgraded to fiber. The Hilltop Hideaway now has 100 meg internet.

The Hilltop Hideaway is located in a quiet neighborhood, so we ask for no loud parties, and please observe quiet time after 10pm.

There are two security cameras on the property, exterior only. They are both for our protection and yours.

Please leave the cottage in the same condition that you found it.

We purchased this cottage in January of 2019 and spent the spring remodeling the cottage, including a new kitchen, remodeled the bedrooms, replaced all woodwork, all doors, some windows, and painted the entire interior.

We understand that you might want to have friends visit for an afternoon at the lake, but at no time should there be more than a total of 8 people (total of registered guests and day visitors).

We do welcome dogs as guests, there is a $50 pet fee (per stay, not per night or per dog, max of 2 dogs) and dogs must be on a leash when outside. We ask that dogs not be allowed to bark excessively as to not disturb the neighbors.

Please observe the 10mph speed limit when driving on the roads/lanes in the subdivision.

I got the best strawberries, Carmel corn and the Sausage Cheese Bread that I'm still dreaming about. Logan was a delight. He was so polite, introduced himself and shook our hands. He was very helpful for things we needed and even took our trash out as we were leaving. We loved this place and we will definitely be back for a longer stay. We didn't get in the water, but it's a beautiful lake. The parade of boats at sunset was so much fun to watch. The only thing we didn't expect was that there were a lot of people around during the day. It wasn't an issue. We met some great people and met some really cute dogs."

This quiet lake front cottage built in 2021 located on Little Otter Lake in the Lake James Chain offers the best of both worlds. Little Otter Lake is great for fishing, kayaking and swimming. A fifteen minute boat ride through the Big Otter Lake channel connects you to skiing, tubing and more on Snow Lake, Lake James and Jimmerson Lake. A row boat is included in the rental, however you will need to provide your own speed boat or pontoon boat. Dock space is available upon request.

This single story, 800 square foot home, with 60 feet of lake frontage has all the amenities needed for a great vacation. The interior of the cottage is clean and inviting, with quartz counter-tops, stone fire place, hardwood heated floors and washer and dryer. There is one bedroom with a queen bed, one bathroom with walk-in shower, plenty of closet space and no steps. There is a 320 square foot deck overlooking Little Otter Lake that provides a great view with a retractable awning. Inside, the many windows allow for an outside feel with the comfort of the indoors. There is a private driveway with beautiful landscaping. This is a wonderful way to get away even during the fall and winter months.

Our Little Otter Retreat is located 1 mile from Pokagon State Park which offers tobogganing, hiking, and cross-country skiing. A public access boat ramp is located 1 mile from the cottage. Two local wineries and one brewery are within 5 miles as well as a variety of local and chain restaurants.

The cottage has both shaded and sunny areas while the beach is firm and great for swimming. Little Otter lake is known for great fishing and Tri-State Bait and Tackle is only 0.2 miles away. Potawatomi Snowmobile trails with 35 miles of trails, are 7 miles away.

Single story cottage located directly on Jimmerson Lake with pier and small sandy beach area. Originally built in the 1950's by owner's grandparents, the home has been charmingly re-decorated and has a large deck with excellent sunset views. Jimmerson Lake is a 203 acre lake that is popular for fishing and is also open to skiers. The cottage is located on a large cove of the lake with less ski boat traffic making it easier to float or swim. Take your boat and access all the lakes on the Lake James chain including Jimmerson Lake, Lake James (1,039 acres), Snow Lake (421 acres), Big Otter Lake and Little Otter Lake.
The cottage is the perfect relaxing retreat for a family or avid fishermen who plan to spend most of their time outdoors and on the lake. Peace and quiet during the Fall and Spring is a fantastic time to visit and get away from the hustle and bustle! Take time to unwind! Fishermen may find largemouth bass, brook trout, brown trout, bluegill, and flathead catfish as well as Northern Pike, Walleye, and Crappie throughout the chain of lakes.

The deck is great, and 2 kayaks, a row boat and canoe kept us active, as well as a very large area on the hill for croquet, corn hole, a nice fire area and extra parking. Totally remodeled one level lake house, on Snow lake channel, sleeps 9 people 60 feet of sand beach, boat dock with layout area, fire pit by beach!Our family has so much fun here and would like to share it with yours. House sits on quiet caudel-sac. Kitchen, dining room, and living room are an open concept, so it is very nice for large families. Living room is 20 by 20 so people can sleep in there also. I called to talk with him a few days before we checked in to ask a couple of questions and he was just wonderful. - A complete feeling of welcome lasted throughout our stay. There were spices, basics like sugar and baking soda, condiments and ice at the home for our use. The kitchen was very well-stocked, and I added a jumbo-sized cutting board and left it there for everyone to use in the future. - The place was immaculate, there were plenty of extra blankets and towels, and the beds and pillows were very comfortable. - Everything has been renovated and was of the highest quality but not so fancy that you were afraid to use it. - They had a large outside griddle and pellet smoker for cooking on the patio, and skewers for roasting marshmallows. - Outside the fire pit was fabulous and the furniture was comfy. We had a fire every day. - The pier is huge with plenty of room for fishing, sunning and boat dock. Enjoy the Lake George Sailboat Race each Saturday and Sunday. Watch folks reel in the big catch at one of the many fishing tournaments (the lake is fully stocked with Blue Gill, Bass, Walleye and many others). Enjoy a lake that allows time for no wake fishing and casual boat cruising. During the weekdays especially, the lake is quiet, which allows for non congested hassle-free boating, jet skiing and fishing. The cottage sits on a quiet cul-de-sac which also allows for a relaxing, peaceful stay. Many neighbors are full-time residents, so we encourage renters who are looking for a quiet, peaceful week. Our newly constructed home (2022) has four bedrooms, three bathrooms, and a fully equipped kitchen. Designed to comfortably sleep 12 guests, our open concept kitchen comes complete with dishes, cookware, and spices. There are also two separate living rooms, each with its own Smart TV for entertainment.

Indoor activities include ping pong, foosball, and Pac-Man, while outdoor activities when seasonally available feature pickleball court, basketball hoop (BRING YOUR OWN BASKETBALL), cornhole, and Kanjam. You can gather around the lower back patio propane Fire Pit on cool evenings or light up the upper deck gas grill for barbecuing on sunny afternoons. All linens are provided except for beach towels.

The dock is available if you bring a boat. Boat rental is available at the Corner Landing nearby. You can conveniently navigate your rental boat directly from Corner Landing rental to our dock. Enjoy the seasonal boat rental services offered at Corner Landing (CornerLanding.net) and take advantage of the convenience of parking your boat at our private dock. The easement to the dock is about a 200 yard walk across a yard, with access to Snow Lake, part of the Chain of Lakes that includes Lake James, Jimmerson Lake, and Big Otter Lake. Please note there is not a swimmable shoreline near the private dock. However, there is a public access site at the end of our road where you can swim and also, and just three miles away, you can find Pokagon State Park, which offers a sandy beach area. Additionally, there are various enjoyable attractions such as movie theaters, winery tours, as well as boat launches, shopping centers, and restaurants in the area.

- "Second year staying here - great as always" - "Wow, what a great trip! We had ages 8 months to 73 years old and couldn’t have picked a better location for a family getaway! Carrie and Greg have thought of EVERYTHING! From a fully equipped kitchen to pickle ball court! You really only need to bring beach towels and sunscreen. We loved that the private boat dock was close, but we still had room for corn hole boards, running around, and outdoor bubbles for the littles. The location is great too. We were able to play golf, disc golf, visit a state park, and shop all within 10-15 minute drive. Carrie provided us with great information when we arrived about restaurants, swimming spots, sandbars, etc. Snow Lake is so calm and peaceful, but you could also travel on the chain of lakes for a different experience. Everyone left having a great experience!"
