Fishlake is one of the best kept secrets between Chicago and Detroit. Get away from the hustle and bustle of the the city and unwind in this very quiet and comfortable lake Cottage. It's an all sports lake that has a ski course.(Rental Boats near by) Great fishing and great neighbors. The cottage has all you need to relax and have a good time. 2 Kayaks are available for use. The hot tub is great after a long day on the lake. You can't go wrong with this place. This is a 1 bed 1 bath that has high end finishes.Full Kitchen for as small as it is. This isn't the kind of rental that isn't completely stocked. The sofa in the TV room is a pull out bed that is brand new and actually very comfortable. This place can sleep 5 people comfortably. With an air mattress available if needed.
In the summer the sunsets are exactly center to the cottage. It's absolutely what you need after dealing with the the daily grind of the city. You can't go wrong with this place. It's just so magical and rejuvenating.

- "Our family had a wonderful time at the lakehouse! It is a quad level home and the layout of the house flows nicely. All the bedrooms had comfortable queen beds and closets for hanging up clothes. The 3 bedrooms upstairs shared a nice sized bathroom (no tub). The single bedroom on the lower level offered a little more privacy and had a jet tub! The kitchen was well stocked with seasonings, sauces, paper supplies...all the basics! The microwave was really cool, and there is an ice maker (just make sure you turn it on when you arrive). The frosty mugs were very nice to have as there is lots of sunshine! My husband and our kids enjoyed walking to the dock to fish and also taking the kayaks out. The garage offers lots and lots of water supplies- kayaks, paddles, tubes, life jackets, water toys...the only thing we didn't find was goggles. The water was very clear and had tons of lily pads! The hot tub was most enjoyable, and we spent a good amount of time just hanging out on the deck, soaking up the sun. The sunroom was probably my favorite place to have coffee and relax and my son's favorite place to nap! Absolutely beautiful home, and our favorite vacation place by far! A great place to relax and hang out. Our family truly enjoyed our time together at the lakehouse, and we would love to go back next summer!"

- "Loved this cottage and the lake! Great location, views, lake access… and cottage had everything we needed and more. Very clean and comfortable… and kitchen had everything I would keep in my kitchen, which was a nice surprise. Bathrooms, guest rooms, and kitchen all updated. Dock needs some work but was functional for us to tie up our boat. With all the other updates, I’m sure the owner will update/repair or replace the dock when possible. Owner was great w communication, response to any questions, etc. We plan to stay here again."

We welcome you, your family, and your friends to our special waterfront home on Klinger Lake - a +1,000 acre crystal clear all-sports lake. Our place on the lake is a 4,000 square feet year-round home with 5 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. A stone fireplace accompanies the very large open living and dining room area along with a wall of of windows overlooking the lake from the front porch. The kitchen features a dishwasher, gas stove and side by side refrigerator/freezer. Adjacent to the kitchen is a laundry room with washer and dryer.
There is a very large sundeck attached to the dock. On the back side of the house is a large deck that provides a view of the lake - great for grilling and dining outside. Last but not least is the 72' of lake frontage. The water is clean and clear and is perfect for swimming, floating, kayaking (two are available for your use) and power boating. The nearby marina offers power watercraft for rent. Whether you enjoy sitting out on the pier or splashing in the water, this Klinger Lake home is perfect for you.

While your vacation starts here, much can be enjoyed in the surrounding area. For golfers, some of the best courses can be found in the area…Klinger Lake Country Club and Island Hills to name a few. For those who like to shop, Sturgis (5 miles from the lake) offers a variety of boutiques and Shipshewana is less than a half an hour away.

- "This is our second year here & we will be back next year! We love how roomy the house is & the location to the lake. The lake is clean, not busy & perfect size. We also rent the boat from the owners for tubing. There is a store close to the house which is great for grabbing last minute items. I also love how the owners leave items that were left behind for new renters for example tin foil, paper plates, etc. I always leave my leftover stuff for the next renter too"

We are located approximately 2 miles south of Lake Templene and Glen Oaks Community College and just 7 miles from Klinger Lake. The St Joseph County Fairgrounds are less than 5 miles away.

- "The lake and lakefront area were amazing! We spent almost entire time on the decks enjoying the peaceful surroundings. Our one complaint about the home was that the only full bathroom was inside the master suite and not easily accessible to the other bedrooms (and the doorknob latch was broken so the door would not stay shut). We made do, but suggest fixing for future guests! Otherwise it is a super getaway place!" - "This was a beautiful property! We had sunny weather and enjoyed sitting on the deck with the amazing lake view. The only downside was that the one full bathroom was inside the master suite. This was not convenient at all for 6 people."

- "Owner, Mr Brend, was very accommodating. This area had just experienced a horrible storm, lost power and had a lot of surrounding damage. This rental had a generator and and no observed damage. Supplies were plentiful and in great condition; kitchen appliances, paper products, containers, dishes, utensils, glasses, cups, pots and pans...etc. Room for everyone to find their own space. Plenty of bath and beach towels. At our old age, the only items we didn't care for was a ground bees nest near the lake patio shade tree, a wasp nest on the garage and having to haul the trash receptacle from and to the road along a very long and narrow driveway. An overall exceptional rental property."

Where smoking is allowed outside of a property, dispose of all butts into something safe and place in the exterior trash cans. Do not bring the butts back into the unit to throw away.

Parties are not allowed on the property at any time. Our rental is located in a residential area and we expect our guests to be respectful of our neighbors. Guests who violate this rule will be asked to leave immediately without a refund.

We have a strict maximum occupancy limit, which is clearly stated in our listings. Guests who exceed this limit will be asked to leave immediately without a refund. Please ask any questions related to gatherings prior to booking, as we follow our stated cancellation policies.

To ensure the safety and security of our guests, we have installed noise and occupancy monitors as well as exterior cameras. These devices are intended to detect excessive noise levels, occupancy over the maximum allowed limit, and any unusual activity outside the rental. Tampering with these devices is strictly prohibited, and guests who do so will be asked to leave without a refund. Quiet hours are between 9 P.M. and 7 A.M. unless otherwise stated.

Pets are not allowed on the property without prior approval. Guests who bring pets without approval may be asked to leave without a refund. If the unit is listed as no pets, then no pets are allowed. If pets are allowed, what kind of pets and how many are allowed will depend on the property and pet waste needs to be picked up and placed in a sealed container/bag before disposing of it in an exterior trash can. Do not bring pet waste back into a unit. Any additional costs for cleaning or picking up after pets will be charged back to guests.

Please note that you will be required to sign a rental agreement prior to check-in. This agreement outlines all of our policies and procedures and will be sent to you electronically upon booking. Failure to sign the rental agreement may cause your reservation to be forfeited and your booking my be cancelled without a refund. Our smart locks allow for 24-hour contact-free-check-in and check-out, giving you the flexibility to arrive and depart on your own schedule. We provide each guest with a unique code that is only valid during their stay, ensuring their safety and convenience.

We know that travel plans can change unexpectedly, and we want to ensure that our guests have peace of mind when booking their stay with us. As such, there is travel insurance offered on some of the booking sites. If it is available, you will see the option(s) at the time of checkout, as well as information on the policy. **House Rules**

We want all welcome you to our short-term rental! To ensure a pleasant and safe experience for all guests, we have established the following rules:

Smoking is strictly prohibited inside the property. This includes cigarettes, cigars, vaping and any other smoking related products. Guests who violate this rule will be charged a cleaning fee and will be asked to leave without refund. Where smoking is allowed outside of a property, dispose of all butts into something safe and place in the exterior trash cans. Do not bring the butts back into the unit to throw away.

Parties are not allowed on the property at any time. Our rental is located in a residential area and we expect our guests to be respectful of our neighbors. Guests who violate this rule will be asked to leave immediately without a refund.

We have a strict maximum occupancy limit, which is clearly stated in our listings. Guests who exceed this limit will be asked to leave immediately without a refund. Please ask any questions related to gatherings prior to booking, as we follow our stated cancellation policies.

To ensure the safety and security of our guests, we have installed noise and occupancy monitors as well as exterior cameras. These devices are intended to detect excessive noise levels, occupancy over the maximum allowed limit, and any unusual activity outside the rental. Tampering with these devices is strictly prohibited, and guests who do so will be asked to leave without a refund. Quiet hours are between 9 P.M. and 7 A.M. unless otherwise stated.

Pets are not allowed on the property without prior approval. Guests who bring pets without approval may be asked to leave without a refund. If the unit is listed as no pets, then no pets are allowed. If pets are allowed, what kind of pets and how many are allowed will depend on the property and pet waste needs to be picked up and placed in a sealed container/bag before disposing of it in an exterior trash can. Do not bring pet waste back into a unit. Any additional costs for cleaning or picking up after pets will be charged back to guests.

Please note that you will be required to sign a rental agreement prior to check-in. This agreement outlines all of our policies and procedures and will be sent to you electronically upon booking. Failure to sign the rental agreement may cause your reservation to be forfeited and your booking my be cancelled without a refund. By booking our rental, you agree to review and sign the rental agreement in a timely manner.
