- "Stayed for 2 nights whilst at a wedding. Location was lovely. The lodges are good size with plenty of room. A pleasant stay." - "Hi the stay was good The floor was dirty with no mop to clean And got told the hot tub was an extra charge" - "Positive things - We had a 3 bed lodge for 3 nights for 4 adult family members. The lodge itself was lovely, clean and well equipped, adequate parking for our 2 vehicles. Location is in wooded area and we found it peaceful, even though an intercity train line runs close by, it didn't disturb us. Congleton and Macclesfield easily accessible by car. If you like gardens Biddulph Grange is well worth a visit. Negative things - we should have had a hot tub for all 3 nights but a change to our lodge allocation meant we had no hot tub for night 1 and then had to transfer to another lodge in the morning of day 2 for the rest of the stay so we then did have a tub - which was great and we made good use of it. The first lodge had a strong drain smell but second lodge was fine. To fully enjoy the area around the lodges you do need a car."

However, although the property is advertised as having 5 bathrooms, it should be noted that only 4 of the bedrooms are ensuite (and two of them share a Jack and Jill bathroom). - "We booked for a 2 night stay with family and our dogs for a wedding in Congleton and was not disappointed. Lodges are absolutely stunning and spotless throughout and the grounds are beautiful too. Would definitely recommended and would visit again. Thank you for a beautiful stay" - "Was disappointed when we first arrived as we had booked a lodge with a hot tub for two nights and we were told we hadn’t got one in the lodge we’d been booked into. We had to move to another lodge the next morning to one with a hot tub. Beverly the house keeper was very helpful and very apologetic. I only wish that we’d been informed about this before we arrived. Beverly sorted the problem by ringing James and we had a free hot tub and a late book out. Beverly works very hard to ensure that all customers are happy. Apart from the disappointing start 5 friends and I had a fabulous two night stay at Shallow Lane Lodges "
