It appears 2nd floor is being remodeled, but I heard no noise in the morning to indicate. Only a notice in the elevator. As close to a pristine room as I've had in many moons. Haven't traveled much the last couple of years, but this was definately up there with our favorite at South Pointe in Las Vegas for comfort and cleanliness. - "Hotel needs some serious updating " - "Is it the Ritz Carlton? It is not. Pool is dry and the whole place is in desperate need of a facelift, but for 65/nite it's a stone cold bargain. This is during the eclipse, by the way, when all other places were jacking up their rates. Room is clean, beds are comfortable, and sheets are clean. Good water pressure in the shower, fridge, and microwave in the room. Breakfast isn't great (no hot food other than a waffle maker) but it's free!!, which knocks your room cost down to more like $40/nite for you, the wife, and a couple of kids. Remote wasn't paired with the TV when we arrived. Paul went and got us a new remote, and when that didn't work he went and got us a new TV! Hair dryer didn't work, so they went and got us a new one, right from the box. Staff is friendly, helpful, and clearly making an effort, but it's tough with an old, pretty run-down building. So if you're looking for someplace fancy, this aint it, But if you look at this place online, see the 65/nite price tag and think "this place must be horrible", it definitely is not. Book with confidence. I've never had a better stay for the money."

It is very evident that the owners put a lot of thought into providing the guest with a cozy and relaxing experience. I slept amazing in the bedroom on what appeared to be a brand new bed. I never once heard the owners, even though they said they would be home if there was anything at all with which I needed assistance. I felt spoiled by the selection of complimentary snacks and was surprised to find a mint on the nightstand. This quiet, clean, and cozy home-away-from-home is some place I plan on returning to on future trips. The one-room school room is open-concept where you will find a luxurious king size bed and a sitting area for snuggling and a large 65" Smart TV with Roku. Also, you will find a game table and chairs, a desk/chair (free WiFi) and a beautiful antique backlit bar (byob!) Upstairs is our tranquility room complete with aromatherapy, soothing water fountain and sound machine to create your personal mood while treating your partner to a massage on our professional grade massage table! This home is located in the quiet and safe Village of Lexington and is perfect for the business traveler or just for enjoying the area. Conveniently located to Mid-Ohio Race Track (10 mins), Snow-trails Ski Resort (15 mins), Mohican State Park, lakes, retail, grocery stores and entertainment. My place was recently updated, is very spacious and comes with everything you need to make your stay enjoyable. This home is attached to my home, but has a private, separate entrance, fenced rear patio and off-street parking.

My home is in a very safe, middle-class residential neighborhood. There are no homes to the rear of the residence, just lots of green space. There is a community pool and kids soccer fields in the distance, so there will be occasional "happy noise". Kids still ride their bikes and play in this neighborhood, so if that is bothersome to you, you will be disappointed. The neighbors are friendly, but unobtrusive and it's safe to take a stroll through the neighborhood. There are several very nice parks for families to enjoy and quick access to a walking and biking path that goes through several neighboring towns. In the summer months, there is a Go-Cart course and Putt-Putt Golf located 5 minutes from this home.
There is ample choices for dining and shopping close by. I have a comprehensive guest book for your viewing when you arrive.

As you approach the house you will see plenty of parking with a semi-circular driveway which can accommodate any size vehicle, trailer or camper. Available for use is a 2 car garage that is attached and directly below the home.

As you walk up the stairs from the garage entrance you are greeted by a generous kitchen which should have everything you need for a few days or a few weeks, just bring the family and food!

Two views make for stunning yet different backdrop Out front and across the street, is the Historic Ohio State Reformatory. OSR as is affectionately known by many was built in 1886 and was in operation until 1990. This facility was used in a number of films (including several while the facility was still in operation), TV shows and music videos, it was made famous by the film The Shawshank Redemption (1994) when it was used for the majority of the movie.

Out Back, enjoy the serenity of the Mansfield countryside. 5 acres of nicely groomed outdoor space awaits you and are yours to play on. The back of the property has some woods with a wide trail cut through it, perfect for a stroll or some spirited riding on a mountain bike. A Large Deck overlooks all this countryside with the Classic red barn! You may store any of your big toys in the Barn while you are here, classic dirt floor but good cover overhead. Please bring your own padlock if you would like to secure it. (Or feel free to use the 2 car garage at the main house) There is a patio, swing set and an additional sitting space under the deck where you will also find a Nice BBQ grill (Please pull the grill out from under the deck while using it. (A full set of grilling tools can be found in the kitchen)

We even have some games like Cornhole and Ladder toss which you can enjoy in the outdoor space (Or even in the garage if the weather gets dicey!)

Back at the house you will find 2 comfortable queen bedrooms. A third sleeping surface is the convertible couch which converts to a Queen sleeper. In both bedrooms and the living room you will find HD TV’s with all kinds of free streaming apps!

- "I was in town for a race weekend at Mid-Ohio and couldn't pass up an opportunity to stay across the street from the Shawshank prison. Take a tour, it's worth it. The home was in great condition, clean and comfortable. It was a great space to relax and unwind after sitting at the track all day. Plenty of cookware and toiletries were provided, nice kitchen to prepare meals as well. It was great to have garage access for my vehicle, knowing it was secure overnight. The property itself was wonderful with plenty of manicured green space behind the house. Even though I was sitting outside all day at the track, I enjoyed taking a short stroll through the woods each evening at dusk. I did not have an opportunity to use the outdoor grill, firepit, etc., but it was a nice touch having those as options. The hosts were always an email or phone call away, though I had no issues during my stay. I would not hesitate to stay at this property in the future."

You will enjoy easy access to everything from this centrally located place. Located in the center of all the attractions in Richland County. Tastefully decorated and fully stocked with all the amenities you will need to enjoy your stay. Smart TV and Fiber High Speed WiFi. Our unit is an upstairs unit with slightly steep steps. Our Shower is a lower height due to the upper unit roof slope. People over 5'10" will bend over to shower. If steps or shower height is an issue this unit is not for you. Otherwise, you will not find a better value in the area. Extremely clean and comfortable!

- "This property was perfect for my daughter and myself during Miss Ohio week. The Recovery Loft is cozy and comfy. From the couch with chaise, the bed & bedroom, to the kitchen with a nice 4 top table and amenities. The owner provides shampoo, conditioner, and body wash in the shower, along with a hair dryer. Broom, mop, and vacuum should you need it. The bed is comfortable and the room a perfect size. The kitchen has everything needed for cooking meals along with spices!! If you need extra sleeping space the couch turns into a bed and I believe there is an air mattress as well. You can control the air conditioning in multiple rooms. We thoroughly enjoyed the space and our stay. We will definitely stay again. A couple of notes, it is a decently steep staircase to the upstairs loft. The parking can get a bit wonky if people do not heed how the owner instructs everyone to park. And if you are over 5' 9" - it may be a challenge to take a shower. The ceiling is low. My husband was not able to shower when he came down for an overnight. Just some notes. Overall though- LOVE the property and we plan to stay again sometime. Owners are great and super sweet- they had a special touch and lovely note encouraging my daughter during pageant week! When we needed something, they brought it right over. - "Clean and roomy, booked for location and separate bedrooms/baths. Quiet stay. Had to fix thermostat ourselves to get the AC working and one of the showers wasn’t usable. Had no water pressure (checked the shutoffs but they looked ok). Pre arrival email mentioned parking pass in lockbox but found only keys. After some back and forth with support just had the license plates for our vehicles reported to office. Support was prompt in contacting property for maintenance issues but no one ever showed. Properly also no reply when inquiring about parking passes for 2 vehicles prior to arrival. "
