- "This house is tucked away in a safe and peaceful neighborhood. It is a large house that can easily accommodate 8 people. 2 main bedrooms and 4 bunk beds. It has a pool table and an out of tune antique piano in the music room. It has a cool vibe that was decorated with a trendy retro style throughout. They have 2 SmartTV's that support airplay. Easy to send video from a smartphone to a large 55" display in the main living area or to a smaller TV in the reading room. Internet in the house is good and works throughout the property. The kitchen is well appointed with standard and Keurig coffee makers. They supply some coffee and snacks, but best to bring your own if you are going to stay for awhile. The back yard is awesome. Beautiful landscaping and excellent seating. The back yard is a great place to have morning coffee and watch the birds, rabbits and critters. There is a path from the back yard to a public park with a great walking or bike path. There are 2 bikes in the garage. Overall this is an excellent well maintained home that is set up for short-term rentals. No one lives in the house full time. It is always clean and ready for the next guest. If you are in the area and looking for a great place to stay you found it. We will certainly be back."

Welcome to the 1901! Enjoy a stay in this grand colonial revival home located just steps from the Ashland University Campus, Freer Field, and minutes from downtown Ashland. This home is prided to be the first home to ever be moved in Ashland (on logs!) in 1932 after being built in 1901, hence the name!

The house:
With hardwood floors, 15 ft ceilings, crown molding, and a sprawling porch, the 1901 retains its 1900’s charm. Once you cross the entryway, a full living room sits to your left with a large couch, Roku tv, and small dining space. To your right, a dining room holds a table long enough to fit 6 comfortably. Beyond that a small sunroom holds a few plush chairs where coffee or reading can be enjoyed. Moving to the back of the house, a full kitchen holds all the amenities you may need, coffee bar included! Back at the front of the house, if you look straight ahead, you will see the beautiful wood staircase that takes you upstairs to four bedrooms and one full bathroom. Here, a total of 10 adults can comfortably sleep. Two bedrooms feature a king bed, one bedroom holds a queen bed, and one is home to two sets of bunk beds. An additional full bathroom, closet and laundry room are located in the basement. (Note: there is no bathroom located on the main floor) The sprawling porch provides ample space to enjoy the view of the neighborhood and Freer Field. The private fully fenced backyard includes a small dining area and lighting to enjoy those nice summer evenings.

There is parking available to the guest including a two-car garage, driveway and plenty of street parking in front of the house. The front door is accessible with an access code that will be given at the time of booking.

The Little Red Hen Inn is an artsy and spacious top floor living quarters. This cozy four bedroom, two bath is located at the top of one of Ashland’s historical buildings. Embrace the original artwork displayed throughout the home designed by local artists. Be sure to check out the wheel-thrown pottery, also made locally.

Welcome to our contemporary appointed home in downtown Ashland. It is centrally located close to Ashland University, Samaritan Hospital, Local Businesses, Grocery Stores and Restaurants. The house has the charm of an older home with contemporary furnishings, Wifi, Sling TV and all the essentials for a short or long visit. We welcome guests in town for a short stay or a long term rental. Our home is approximately 1100 square feet which will give you plenty of space versus a hotel room.
