It appears 2nd floor is being remodeled, but I heard no noise in the morning to indicate. Only a notice in the elevator. As close to a pristine room as I've had in many moons. Haven't traveled much the last couple of years, but this was definately up there with our favorite at South Pointe in Las Vegas for comfort and cleanliness. Didn't do breakfast, but it appeared there were plenty of offerings...biscuits/gravy, eggs, waffles, cereal, bread for toast...coffee, milk."

We like it because they have handicap accessible units one can park in front of. It is literally 5-6 feet from the unit door to your car. Mom doesn't walk well, so this is perfect for our needs. We were disappointed that restaurant that shares a parking lot closed, but there are many other restaurants nearby. It is also close to I71, a Wal-mart, and several gas stations. Hair dryer didn't work, so they went and got us a new one, right from the box. Staff is friendly, helpful, and clearly making an effort, but it's tough with an old, pretty run-down building. So if you're looking for someplace fancy, this aint it, But if you look at this place online, see the 65/nite price tag and think "this place must be horrible", it definitely is not. It has a pool table and an out of tune antique piano in the music room. It has a cool vibe that was decorated with a trendy retro style throughout. They have 2 SmartTV's that support airplay. Easy to send video from a smartphone to a large 55" display in the main living area or to a smaller TV in the reading room. Internet in the house is good and works throughout the property. The kitchen is well appointed with standard and Keurig coffee makers. They supply some coffee and snacks, but best to bring your own if you are going to stay for awhile. The back yard is awesome. Beautiful landscaping and excellent seating. The back yard is a great place to have morning coffee and watch the birds, rabbits and critters. There is a path from the back yard to a public park with a great walking or bike path. There are 2 bikes in the garage. Overall this is an excellent well maintained home that is set up for short-term rentals. No one lives in the house full time. It is always clean and ready for the next guest. If you are in the area and looking for a great place to stay you found it. We will certainly be back."

Located on 64 acres in the center of farm fields this property offers spectacular views of wildlife. Deer can often be seen foraging from the enclosed rear patio. The enclosed front patio offers beautiful views of the sunset. There is a well equipped kitchen and also an outdoor patio with grill and fire pit for cooking out. A large pond is available for fishing. If you prefer to relax indoors there are two smart tv's and free wifi. One king size and one queen size bed offer a comfortable nights sleep. This home is also located near Ashland University , Rockin T Ranch, and Dragway 42. We are trailer friendly. Just let us know your bringing a rig. If your looking for a little peace and quiet this is the place to be.
UPDATE: We now have rural water instead of well water. For those of you who have stayed with us previously you'll appreciate the difference. Note: Fireplaces have been updated with minisplits for better heating and cooling.

Approximately 5 minutes from downtown Mansfield this 2 bedroom house has been beautifully appointed to accommodate 4 people comfortably and even sleep up to 6.

As you approach the house you will see plenty of parking with a semi-circular driveway which can accommodate any size vehicle, trailer or camper. Available for use is a 2 car garage that is attached and directly below the home.

As you walk up the stairs from the garage entrance you are greeted by a generous kitchen which should have everything you need for a few days or a few weeks, just bring the family and food!

Two views make for stunning yet different backdrop Out front and across the street, is the Historic Ohio State Reformatory. OSR as is affectionately known by many was built in 1886 and was in operation until 1990. This facility was used in a number of films (including several while the facility was still in operation), TV shows and music videos, it was made famous by the film The Shawshank Redemption (1994) when it was used for the majority of the movie.

Out Back, enjoy the serenity of the Mansfield countryside. 5 acres of nicely groomed outdoor space awaits you and are yours to play on. The back of the property has some woods with a wide trail cut through it, perfect for a stroll or some spirited riding on a mountain bike. A Large Deck overlooks all this countryside with the Classic red barn! You may store any of your big toys in the Barn while you are here, classic dirt floor but good cover overhead. Please bring your own padlock if you would like to secure it. (Or feel free to use the 2 car garage at the main house) There is a patio, swing set and an additional sitting space under the deck where you will also find a Nice BBQ grill (Please pull the grill out from under the deck while using it. (A full set of grilling tools can be found in the kitchen)

We even have some games like Cornhole and Ladder toss which you can enjoy in the outdoor space (Or even in the garage if the weather gets dicey!)

Back at the house you will find 2 comfortable queen bedrooms. A third sleeping surface is the convertible couch which converts to a Queen sleeper. In both bedrooms and the living room you will find HD TV’s with all kinds of free streaming apps!

In case the kids get muddy or for a longer stay a washer & dryer are available for your use in the lower level/garage. We will even leave some soap and dryer sheets out for you.

The neighborhood is rural but 5 mins from downtown Mansfield which has restaurants, Grocery stores, Gas stations and anything else you may need!

- "I was in town for a race weekend at Mid-Ohio and couldn't pass up an opportunity to stay across the street from the Shawshank prison. Take a tour, it's worth it. The home was in great condition, clean and comfortable. It was a great space to relax and unwind after sitting at the track all day. Plenty of cookware and toiletries were provided, nice kitchen to prepare meals as well. It was great to have garage access for my vehicle, knowing it was secure overnight. The property itself was wonderful with plenty of manicured green space behind the house. Even though I was sitting outside all day at the track, I enjoyed taking a short stroll through the woods each evening at dusk. I did not have an opportunity to use the outdoor grill, firepit, etc., but it was a nice touch having those as options. The hosts were always an email or phone call away, though I had no issues during my stay. I would not hesitate to stay at this property in the future."

Bring the whole family to this great place with lots of room for gathering and fun. Historically kept, this home is filled with one of kind antiques and furniture. Wall paper and paintings date back several decades. Four bedrooms with five beds this home is equipped for large parties to stay and have a wonderful time. The Dexter Home is located in the historical heart of the city. Two blocks away from downtown and less than a mile from Ashland University.

Welcome to the 1901! Enjoy a stay in this grand colonial revival home located just steps from the Ashland University Campus, Freer Field, and minutes from downtown Ashland. This home is prided to be the first home to ever be moved in Ashland (on logs!) in 1932 after being built in 1901, hence the name!

The house:
With hardwood floors, 15 ft ceilings, crown molding, and a sprawling porch, the 1901 retains its 1900’s charm. Once you cross the entryway, a full living room sits to your left with a large couch, Roku tv, and small dining space. To your right, a dining room holds a table long enough to fit 6 comfortably. Beyond that a small sunroom holds a few plush chairs where coffee or reading can be enjoyed. Moving to the back of the house, a full kitchen holds all the amenities you may need, coffee bar included! Back at the front of the house, if you look straight ahead, you will see the beautiful wood staircase that takes you upstairs to four bedrooms and one full bathroom. Here, a total of 10 adults can comfortably sleep. Two bedrooms feature a king bed, one bedroom holds a queen bed, and one is home to two sets of bunk beds. An additional full bathroom, closet and laundry room are located in the basement. (Note: there is no bathroom located on the main floor) The sprawling porch provides ample space to enjoy the view of the neighborhood and Freer Field. The private fully fenced backyard includes a small dining area and lighting to enjoy those nice summer evenings.

Guest Access:
There is parking available to the guest including a two-car garage, driveway and plenty of street parking in front of the house. The front door is accessible with an access code that will be given at the time of booking.

This home is family friendly and baby friendly. It is currently not handicap accessible or pet friendly.
