Very comfortable beds and everything you can need to cook. Grill, pots and pans, and seasonings all provided. Great communication from the host and an overall good experience. I had to get there later in the evening unfortunately, so it was harder to find and the place was chilly. Once there though I had no problems. Updated kitchen welcomes you upon entry. Some things still under construction but do yourself a favor and book this property."

It is a bit of a drive but certainly not an inconvenience. The pond, paddle boat, cornhole game all got some use outdoors. Indoors we played pool and foosball. The play room can be closed off from the rest of the house in the event you want some peace and quiet. The house was very clean and very cozy. Jim even built a bond fire for us and made made it easy to start. The view of the mountains is beautiful. I wouldn't hesitate to stay at this house again in the future. The washer and dryer worked great as did all of the appliances. There is plenty of parking for all guests and the house sits a short distance off of the highway."

- "We had a wonderful stay at Roseann’s cabin in East Meredith. We were attending a wedding in the area, and stayed here with my parents who helped care for our 18 month old son. The house was perfect for us - the three bedrooms allowed us to have our son in a separate room, and provide a queen bed for both my parents and me and my husband. There is also a tub, a pack and play, and air conditioning. It was difficult to find something else in the area that would accommodate these needs, so we were very happy to find this place! Our son Jad liked walking the grounds, finding rocks, and watching the roosters roam. The house was clean and lovely and Roseann was very responsive. Would definitely stay again!"

This 3 bedroom ranch home features an octagonal in-ground pool, basketball court, fire pit, bountiful flower gardens, well manicured grounds, covered patio for outdoor dining and a game room with ping pong table. This home sparkles in every way. All Star Village is about a 15 minute drive to All Star Village.

Nelson House has a spacious sun room that looks out over the backyard and pool area. Recently renovated, the kitchen has oak cabinetry, stainless steel appliances and ample lighting. The owners provide a video library for children. And yes, there are pool toys and life jackets.

Nelson House is kept in immaculate condition - both inside and outside. It will not disappoint.

- "We had such a great time at the Nelson house. Stayed here while our kids played at All Star Village (Week 7 Champions! So we say Nelson house was a good luck charm!) We came back to the house as often as we good. Siblings (and the adults) loved the pool, ping pong table and basketball court. The house was so well kept, and clean. They had everything we could need and plenty of space for everyone. Hosts were friendly and helpful, but also gave us plenty of privacy. Most of our friends who had rentals in the area were disappointed in what they got versus what was advertised. Our experience was the complete opposite, it was above and beyond our expectations. We can't recommend Nelson house enough (I say WE because the other parents I stayed with wanted to make sure we left a great review!) Book the Nelson House! You will not be disappointed!"

Before Arrival - Please let us know if you would like the pull out couch made up as the second double bed for you. If needed, it will make your stay more enjoyable and it is no bother for us.

As you look out the windows or lay in bed looking out the french doors, you will gaze upon the edge of our pond that has an abundance of bass, sunfish, frogs and other aquatic life. It is almost a guarantee that you will see our resident cottontail rabbits that reside in the spruce trees behind the cabin.

Inside the cabin is a kitchenette with all of your basic amenities including a double hotplate, cooking utensils, sink with hot and cold running water. The cabin also offers heat and air conditioning, ceiling fan, refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, French press (with coffee, creamer, and sugar), and hair dryer. On the outside of the retreat there is the enclosed shower house with hot and cold water. The toilet (Composting) is also outside in its own private enclosed structure.

Outside Activities - You have access to our full 120 acres via our extensive trail system. The forest is a mix of mature hardwoods, conifers and open fields. You have the opportunity to see and interact with whitetail deer, wild turkey and possible see our resident owls. You can bring your fishing poles and catch your dinner in the pond (limit of two bass per stay) that you can cook on the supplied charcoal grill.

Items to Note - Please be clear in your booking request with the total number of adults, children and pets that you will be bringing. This will allow us to make your stay as comfortable as possible. If you need to change the number of guests/pets that will on site after you have booked, you will need to request that before you arrive. Due to liability/insurance reasons we can not allow more occupancy that what is stated in your confirmed booking contract.

Pets - While we do welcome you to bring your furry friends as we also have our own, please do not leave your pet unaccompanied at any time. A new location for them can be very stressful and cause unexpected damage to occur.

Our beautiful, bright 1300 sq. ft. open-concept house, nestled in the Catskill mountains only 20 minutes east of Oneonta, will give you the Catskill Mountain experience you've been dreaming of! Enjoy the gorgeous views, lovely garden, 20-acres of field and woods, and lush, rolling lawns. The outdoor dining table and chairs set up by the fire pit under a peaceful canopy of tree branches provide the perfect setting for an evening meal overlooking the beautiful, ancient Catskill Mountains, with not a neighbor in sight!

If you're visiting for baseball, our cozy country home is a lovely 45-minute drive to Cooperstown, NY and Cooperstown Dreams Park and a mere 25-minute drive to the Cooperstown All-Star Village.
The house consists of 1 separate bedroom, 1 open loft bedroom w/ lounge area and small balcony, a gas fireplace and fully-equipped kitchen. You can look forward to a peaceful morning or evening read in our comfortable sofas and armchairs with soaring views of the mountains and sky and getting cozy by the gas fireplace at night. Prepare yourselves a meal in our well-appointed kitchen or curl up to watch a movie in the loft bedroom/sitting room. Convenient to Cooperstown All Star Village (25 min.) & Cooperstown, NY (45 min.) *THERE IS NO WIFI/INTERNET!! but good cell service for ATT/Verizon. People with T-Mobile have had difficulty getting signal.
Our well water is natural and healthy but contains sulphur. In the old days, people would travel for miles to drink and bathe in the sulphur waters. However, as many people will not enjoy the taste, we provide bottled water as well!
The open loft bedroom has sliding doors to small veranda. In hot summer months we put an air conditioner in the sliding doors, which blocks access to veranda, but keeps you cool and comfortable inside. There is a dishwasher and the kitchen is fully equipped with microwave, dishes, cutlery, pots and pans and cups and glasses.

Things to know: There is *NO WIFI/INTERNET but good cell reception for cell providers that use AT&T or Verizon towers. (NOTE: people with T-mobile have had trouble getting reception at our house)

We have no television to distract us from the beauty of nature, but there is a small flat screen, DVD player and DVDs for evening entertainment. Our TV is a 'smart' screen, so if you have mobile hot-spot you can connect to your favorite entertainment service including Netflix, Hulu, Amazon..you name it!

Perfect as a get-away for hikers, kayakers, micro-brew enthusiasts (visit Brewery Ommegang to see their offerings!) and fans of music and culture. Glimmerglass opera, Cooperstown Farmers' Museum and Fenimore Art Gallery are less than an hour away. Cooperstown All-Star Village and Dreams Park baseball parents and other baseball fans can combine their busy days of sightseeing and baseball games with the peaceful evening get-away of our mountain home.
