We loved the place so much we ate dinner outside everyday by the fire & relaxed till the stars were all over. Did some hiking & exploring and found a drive through preserve where we got to feed animals, my lady loved it. The cabin seems popular for fly fishing which we did not try. This newly renovated house sits in a prime fly fishing area on the famed Upper West Branch of the Delaware river. Located in the "No Kill" or "Trophy" section with 150' of private riverfront access. Trout Camp features an open floor plan with an island bar in the kitchen, dining area, living area with cable TV/DVD, internet and fly tying table all with a clear view of the river through the huge picture window, and a back deck with afternoon shade. There are four bedrooms and six beds(2-queen, 1-full, 1 single w/bunks) able to sleep 6+. 1 1/2 baths and laundry room.
With 150' of riverfront, a fire pit, riverside pavilion and picnic table, it's easy to enjoy this property. A gentle grassy slope to the rivers edge makes it easy to launch small watercraft such as canoes, kayaks and float tubes. There are many floating options available with two boat launches upstream within two miles and many more downstream, the closest being a half mile. There is a spotting scope at the house so you can zoom in on the eagles, beavers, rising trout, ducks or even (Loona) the Loon the has spent the summer with us.
Other activities in the area include, hiking, mountain biking, golf, bird watching, a state park with swimming and beach volleyball, 3 ski areas within an hours drive and miles of the Upper Delaware River system.

World class rainbow and brown trout fishing on the West Branch of the Delaware River and Oquaga Creek is only 5-minutes away. Cannonsville Reservoir is 5 miles from the house and offers some of the most spectacular Smallmouth Bass, Rainbow/Brown Trout fishing in New York State (special permit required). Hunting for whitetail and variety of small game is available as we are within minutes of NY and PA State Lands.

In the summer fly fishing on the Delaware River is a favorite for anglers of any ability and if you've always wanted to learn, sign up for classes or guide at one of the renowned local fly fishing schools. Cannonsville Dam and Reservoir offer recreational activities with rental boats by reservation, fishing and breath-taking scenery. Activities for children include a wonderful zoo at the Discovery Center or Roberson Museum in Binghamton, and Animal Adventure Park in Harpursville 20 minutes away.
The perfect walk any time of day is around the lake at 2.7 miles or bike the area's beautiful hills with great views of farms and woodlands and reservoirs.

Our cottage has four bedrooms, two on the upper level and two on the lower level. The master bedroom has a double door that opens to the front porch and has great sunrise views. The second double room has views of the wooded area. There is a full bathroom off the hallway to the bedrooms and a washer/dryer unit off the hallway as well.
The living room is spacious with a comfortable couch and chairs . There are beautiful views out the large glass double doors that lead to a porch with outdoor seating for dining and lounging.
A full kitchen with skylights makes the space bright and fun and there is plenty of cookware and utensils for the cook in the house with ample cupboard space to store your food. A side entrance door in the kitchen leads to the side porch and gas grill.
The dining room is off the kitchen and living room in a open floor plan. Lots of light from skylights through out the upper living area adds to the cheery atmosphere and gives glimpses of the night skies.
The stairs off the hallway lead to the lower level where there is a double bed with double doors leading to a patio and open to great views of the lake and the outside lawn. The cozy single bedroom on this level has a attractive full bath attached.
There is parking for four vehicles on the property behind the cottage.

- "The house is beautiful. Very accommodating. We loved it." - "We had a family gathering with nine people in the house ranging from 3 years old through 77. The layout was great with an open ground floor area with pool table, kitchen, dining area, living room and adjoining deck, with a nice view of the river. One floor up there are 5 bedrooms with 10 beds. The mattresses were nice and firm and the linens were clean. On the last floor was a nice games room with ping-pong, air hockey, and foosball.The house is tastefully decorated and has modern amenities, comfortable furniture, and was well heated for our winter stay. The hot-tub was very clean and well maintained.Check-in and check-out were very easy and the host, Yehuda, was very responsive when we needed to contact him, either before the trip with questions, or during the trip.We have only 2 complaints.The first is that the water was cut off three different times. The first was an automatic cutoff after running a bath (Yehuda was able to quickly reset this at a distance, but this could be corrected by changing the threshold). The second time, the cold-water pipes had frozen (we had sub-zero temperatures the entire 3-day stay, but it would seem to me not that unusual in the Catskills). A guy was able to come by after about a half hour and settle things. He recommended we let water trickle from the faucets during the night, which led to a 3rd cut-off because of the smart-valve.The other complaint is that the kitchen was lacking some basic items (easy to fix, I'll send a list)."

Our cottage was built in 1899. It has a quaint cedar shake exterior and amazing views of Oquaga Lake, perfectly situated on the lake’s west side, with incredible views of the sunset. We have dubbed our home “Cedar Sunset.”

This lake is 2.6 miles around, great for an outdoorsy crowd that may enjoy the running or walking that the single or multi loop can offer. Our cottage comes with two kayaks which you can use to take a stroll around the lake to check out the scenery. We also have a propane-fueled fire pit for late night s’mores once the sun goes down.

Oquaga lake is an amazing, quiet getaway with great friendly residents. Our cottage has awesome swimming, no seaweed, and decent fishing from the dock if that is of interest.

The downtown area has some decent food spots but our cottage also comes equipped with a grill and stove if you would like to cook at home. Additionally, the Chestnut Inn is directly across from us on the lake and offers great food, drink and live music. This restaurant and hotel was recently restore in 2023.

Come check out our quaint cottage and joy a relaxing time away at Cedar Sunset! Also, worth mentioning, this is where season 2 of Amazon’s Marvelous Miss Maisel was filmed several years ago!

We had a great time and plan on returning next year." - "Me and my family we loved it is so relaxing" - "We were up in the area for niece's graduation from SUNY Binghamton, and wanted to say somewhere we could gather as a family and enjoy the long weekend together. The cottage totally fit the bill! All the bedrooms are upstairs, and all the space downstairs is living/hangout space - a dining room, a kitchen/living room area, and a screened porch. It is nicely laid out for a big group to be together, so that some can read quietly while others are playing cards or visiting. The dock is large and the water is, as advertised, not seaweedy at all. Another plus is that the house faces west so you can see the sunset across the lake. Overall an excellent place to stay! We did have to navigate a little bit that there were six of us and only one full bathroom, but the half bath downstairs really helped. The host was accessible and checked in over the course of the weekend to make sure we had everything we needed. The town of Deposit is about 10 minutes away (at most), and has a supermarket, a restaurant, a pharmacy, and other basic retail. Not super fancy, but definitely a great weekend getaway from the city, or a nice place to stay for graduation weekend."

Built in 1878 on the shores of pristine Oquaga Lake in the Catskills, Lenape Cottage is the Victorian gem you have dreamed about! From the five front doors and six widows are the most exquisite views of sunrise and lake views one could want and bright natural light fills the cottage all day long. The dining room has a large table suited for a gathering and the living room has comfy couches to relax on after a full day on the lake. Four bedrooms quaintly constructed with bead board ceilings and painted floors add to that victorian feel of days gone by... not to mention the cute touches of the little private sinks in each bedroom! ...so cute!!

Fall, winter and spring are typically very quiet.
