- "I’ve stayed at a lot of spots upstate and this one was so charming and had SO much natural LIGHT which is my one issue with most upstate stays. It was cozy and peaceful rain or shine and it felt like the right mix of new and clean but also cute and cottage-y. So close to an adorable downtown in narrowsburg which has a few awesome restaurants and shops. Highly recommend!" - "The fact that this is our third stay at this beautiful home says it all! The home is equipped with everything you need for a relaxing stay - just pack your toothbrushes and book now! PLEASE NOTE -
Cancellation and Insurance: We encourage all our guests to purchase travel insurance, whether through the OTA when offered at the time of booking, or through a third party. We cannot make any exceptions to our cancellation policy.
Utility Outages: As Upstate New York can see its’ fair share of inclement weather and is primarily a tree rich area with overhead power lines, please know we do not assume responsibility for utility outages during your stay. If electric, water or Wi-Fi service is impacted, we do not refund. Of course, if an outage were to persist for longer than 8 hours we would allow a cancellation without penalty.
Weather: During the winter months, there may be ice, snow, and hazardous conditions. We recommend driving a vehicle with AWD or 4WD. Please ask about the plowing schedule for the house. Most driveways are plowed at or before 3” of accumulation.
Animals and Pests: The house is in a rural environment and surrounded by countryside, farms and wildlife. Although it’s wonderful to observe the eagles, deer, bears, and adorable chipmunks, it can also mean you will hear coyotes and foxes at night, and encounter the less cute mice, flies, snakes, ants, bees and ticks. There is very little to be done about it, but by keeping doors closed or screened and food in its appropriate storage, unwelcome guests will stay outside where they belong. All our properties benefit from scheduled pest control, but we are in a natural environment and we can not fortify the houses completely.
Cleaning Guarantee: We are very proud of our housekeeping team who go above and beyond. Because of their hard work and high professional standards, we are able to guarantee our cleaning to our guests. We take time stamped video and photos of the cleaned property and do not refund for any small issues found during a stay. Instead, should a guest feel that something is amiss or needs additional attention, we will gladly have a housekeeper attend the home to take care of it within 12 hours of an issue being reported.
This home may have weekly lawn and trash services as well as monthly pest control service. Service providers may access the exterior front yard and back yard during your stay to ensure the home is properly maintained.
Pets: This property only allows dogs.
Rental Agreement: Please know that we require all guests to sign a rental lease agreement.
Additional Fees: Depending on their requirements, guests will be subject to the following additional fees
Dog Fees - $100 per pet per stay
Please respect all house rules listed in the guidebook provided, as well as the privacy of this quiet community.

- "I booked this lovely house to get away from my hectic schedule in the city (and family 😅) for a handful of days & nights. It was the BEST mix of spacious but also feeling quaint & personal for me & my pup. The property grounds were my favorite aspect. The variety of birds & butterflies I saw was astounding. I'll need to return with the family to serve up some dinners on that long back deck that sits in its own cozy corner. I arrived during a heatwave and was worried about the lack of a/c but the fans & open windows wete a great way to keep the temp balanced. I hope to come back in cooler weather to experience the large fire pit out back. 10/10 recommend for a small family or a group of close friends that want their own little oasis while remaining close to town & the river. Thank you for everything!!"

Looking Foward To Returning!!!" - "Everything we had hoped for and more!" - "We had plans to fly to the West Coast when my husband needed emergency eye surgery and we could not fly. We were all devasted. Doing a VRBO search for a last-minute getaway, I saw this cabin and had a sense this was just what we needed. The cabin was neat and clean, private, and well kept. The five of us immediately began to relax upon entering the cabin. Heading down to the pond started to erase our sadness. The kitchen is well stocked. The furniture is comfortable and welcoming. The screened-in porch was a great place for dinners. We also loved the fire pit. Floating in a tube in the pond, I could totally unwind! Our very favorite spot was in the gazebo near the pond. We took our morning coffee there, had snacks there in the afternoon, and wine there in the evening! Every one of us loved this place and could not believe how lucky we were to have an opportunity to stay at such a lovely place. It truly felt like a retreat. We hated to leave, and can't wait to find a time when we can go back to this amazing place."

You can sit on the deck and take in the river or go right down to the river and float. The house itself fits right in to its surroundings and has some amazing plantings. A really peaceful place." - "Danny’s home in Narrowsburg was the perfect vacation destination for our family. The home itself is exquisitely curated and we enjoyed admiring his collection of art, photography and sculpture throughout the home. The space was also cozy and livable with comfortable beds and furniture throughout, as well as a well functioning kitchen and washer and dryer. The outdoor space is equally well designed, with a beautiful, fenced front garden (good for dogs) and a huge backyard featuring a large patio, a BBQ, two hammocks, a bocce ball court, a large picnic table and beach access to the Delaware River. The weather was beautiful when we visited and we spent multiple happy afternoons lounging outside, wading in the river, watching birds, canoeing, and tubing. - "My husband & I had a wonderful stay at this property. We found everything immaculate. We really enjoyed just sitting outside with a glass of wine/beverage and watching the nature around us: eagles, deers, squirrels, one hummingbird, and an assortment of other birds. There is plenty of seating outside to gain a view of the Delaware River, and we enjoyed watching the rafters and tubers floating past. We didn't fish, but we saw people in a canoe fly fishing. I enjoyed watching the eagles fish in the river, that is their home. One night of our stay entailed a trip to Bethel/Woodstock to see the Country superstar Chris Stapleton and Country/Bluegrass singer Marty Stuart, it was definitely a treat, and it was a comfort to be able to go back to Mission Possible to lay our heads. It is said, "A picture can say a 1000 words", but I'm not sure if the pictures do the property justice. I bet it is beautiful in the Fall. Thank-you again Iris and Mary"

Open concept floor plan with all common space on the main floor.

Newly remodeled bathroom features a subway tile shower, plenty of fluffy towels, and sundries.
Upstairs features 2 separate yet open sleeping lofts with queen beds, outfitted with new high quality linens, quilts, and down comforters. Cozy and comfortable for a wonderful night's sleep. You'll awaken to bird song. (Note: the lofts are one large open space separated by an open stairwell.)
Grill outside on the gas BBQ. Sit by the fire pit (wood bin is stocked, just gather some kindling from the woods), roast marshmallows and tell ghost stories, while listening to the owls hooting in the woods.
Explore the property to find large rock formations and a seasonal flowing spring. Flower gardens and woodlands surround the cabin. Perennial flowers bring pollinators, butterflies, and hummingbirds. You'll find bird houses scattered throughout the property. You may see deer, turkey, ground hogs (aka whistle pigs), fox and pileated woodpeckers around the property and beavers, turtles and water fowl in the ponds.

- "We had a delightful stay! It was like walking into a second home that you didn’t know you had! We will surely return!" - "This cabin was PERFECT! Literally everything that you could ever want in a little cabin get away in the woods. Not only was it adorable, but everything we needed was provided. As soon as you walk in, the whole home smells like cedar. The teenagers had fun exploring outside and having campfires (wood provided) so much so that they put their phones down. There was a bottle of wine and chocolates left for us when we arrived. The host couldn’t have been any better! We already are talking about booking again next time we are in town."

This artfully designed home has the ideal trifecta for relaxation and rejuvenation: a prime location on the river, walking distance to the heart of town, and impressive features that create your perfect stay.

From here, French doors open onto a large dining and lounging deck with stairs heading down to the fire pit and water.
Let’s take a moment to discuss the kitchen. It’s fully equipped to serve everyone, and all cuisine needs—from those who just need a good cup of coffee to chefs looking to create a decadent meal. The main level is also served by a full bathroom, with a claw foot tub, and easy access from three points to the outside.

Rental Agreement: Please know that we require all guests to sign a rental lease agreement.
Pets: This property only allows dogs.
This house has two levels and may not be suitable for guests who don’t wish to use stairs.
Additional Fees: Depending on their requirements, guests will be subject to the following additional fees
Dog Fees - $100 per pet per stay
Please respect all our house rules listed in the guidebook provided, as well as the privacy of this quiet community.
- "All good, a smooth and wonderful stay." - "We spent a delightful week at River’s Rest, enjoying the river and all the special touches the house offered. On cooler mornings we enjoyed breakfast on the deck overlooking the river, afternoons relaxing in cushioned comfort under the sun umbrella and playing afternoon and evening games on the screened porch. The kitchen is a chef’s delight with everything needed for cooking and baking including a Kitchen Aid mixer. The two informal seating areas provided our group of five adults options for both quiet conversation and watching World Cup soccer and the British Open. The upstairs A/C units kept the bedrooms cool for sleeping and the window unit in the dining area provided cool comfort during a hot and steamy summer week. The team was super responsive to our questions during the reservation process and on arrival. We chose River’s Rest for its water access and the accommodations it offered for our adult family and two dogs and it was perfect for connecting as a family and also individual down time. It is a serene and beautiful setting with gentle grade access to the river for swimming and kayaking. There are two expansive grassy lawns for lawn games and relaxing outdoors. Narrowsburg offers excellent dining options with outdoor seating and river views including the Launderette and The Heron. The Pump House in Cochecton is a fun place for live music and food – dogs are welcome! We are avid fans of farmers markets and visited the Narrows"

There is a wooded area with some blown down pine trees to the left of the house. It is a haven for deer, a fun little woodchuck family, birds, squirrels, chipmunks and other entertaining wildlife. Please do NOT feed the animals but feel free to explore the area and observe the wildlife. The deer are easy to photograph but if you are patient enough other wonderful opportunities will present.

Modern amenities include WiFi, TV, electric stove, and air conditioning units in each room for your comfort.Step onto the 25-foot-wide patio to unwind in hot tub, or gather around the fire pit in the backyard.
- "Too short lol" - "My cousin and I do an annual trip to the Barryville/Narrowsburg area with our wives over labor day for some hiking, rafting, restauranting/cooking, etc. This home was about 7mins drive from Narrowsburg, and in the middle of the woods, which is perfect. The neighbors are a bit close, but we were not a bother to one another. Also, I'd recommend an AWD vehicle with decent clearance, as the road is gravel and the driveway is steep and narrow. I have an Audi SUV and had no issues. The home was nice and clean with many little extra features such as games, a dart board, hot tub, a nice firepit and some leftover starters and such beds were comfy and there are mini split ACs in every room. The TV comes equipped with Roku, and Internet is strong and stable. There are always a few things that are inevitable, such as a bees nest where you'd not want one, or some of the outdoor ambiance lights not working properly, but the host was very prompt and attentive. We had everything we needed for a wonderful time."

- "The home was welcoming, comfortable and gorgeous. We could not have enjoyed our time here more. The pictures don’t do it justice. Would recommend and return!" - "The best thing I can say about Jenny‘s place is that I almost don’t want to say anything at all so it doesn’t become overwhelmingly popular. It might be the most perfect house that I have ever encountered on Vrbo. She has curated the environment to be not only functional and easy to adapt to, but incredibly inviting & beautiful and the house and the amenities - the redwood, hot tub, the outdoor shower, the hanging lights, the beautiful knickknacks perfectly placed throughout the outdoor property, the incredible cleanliness and availability of kitchen and comfortable settings to lose yourself in throughout the house - were, in my experience, second to none. It’s an absolutely perfect experience. Do not hesitate to book this place."

If you’re looking to escape technology and spend some time enjoying the company you’re with this is the place for you.
