- "If you are looking for a cute little get away spot, this is really nice for the price. You will have lake views which are beautiful, privacy and the option to get a bite to eat at the tavern next door. The tavern was not loud at all when you are in the apartment. It is a private lake so you can't boat or fish unless you have a PA fishing license. The apartment is only 10 minutes from town so you can drive in and have breakfast at the Belmont Cafe which is totally unassuming from the outside but the food was great and the staff was so nice. The host was super easy to communicate with and very friendly. Thank you!"

From outdoor activities in the Poconos Mountains to sightseeing downtown, there's something for everyone. Our home is close to skiing at Elk Mountain Resort and fun year-round at Montage Mountain, among many other attractions.
No matter what time of year your visit brings you to this area, the first stop should be exploring the beautiful Poconos region. With its miles of trails, scenic views, and waterways, it's no wonder why it's one of the most popular tourist destinations around. There are plenty of ways to enjoy the outdoors here, including hiking in the Austin T. Blakeslee Natural Area or biking along the many paths at the Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area. Plus, you can go fishing on Lake Wallenpaupack or Promised Land State Park and even take a whitewater rafting trip down the Lehigh River Gorge. Of course, in the winter months it’s all about the snow, so whether you ski, snowboard, or watch from the warmth of the lodge, you won’t be disappointed.
Another must-do activity near Honesdale is visiting Tanner Falls. It's one of the most beautiful waterfalls in Pennsylvania and is easily accessible with a short but challenging hike. Climb up to the top for stunning views of the Poconos and the picturesque falls. It's a great spot for picnics and relaxing, and you’ll definitely earn your lunch.
Don't forget to take advantage of all the historical attractions near Honesdale too! Book tickets for a train ride with dinner along the Lackawaxen River on the Stourbridge Lion, America’s first commercial steam locomotive, or visit D & H Canal Museum to walk along level gravel trails, explore its old canal locks, and learn about the history of this area. And don’t miss seeing the Delaware River’s charming riverfront villages while you're here—it's like taking a step back in time.
When you start to feel hungry after a day of exploring, head over to one of the delicious restaurants in Honesdale. Native combines great service with stellar cuisine and takes a farm-to-table approach to their fresh and seasonal menu, while The Red Schoolhouse is a super casual spot that offers classic American comfort food in a friendly atmosphere. To quench your thirst, visit The Settlers Inn on Main Avenue in downtown Hawley for craft beers from local breweries - it makes a great stop after a day on the lake.
No matter what type of adventure you're looking for, there's something to do around Honesdale Pennsylvania that will make your vacation memorable. From waterfalls to trains, charming downtowns to delicious restaurants - there's no shortage of things to do in this picturesque corner of Pennsylvania!

Each campsite includes a 10'x12' safari-style canvas tent on a raised platform, and you'll find one queen bed or a queen-size bunk bed inside (each site is different, see photos for the exact setup). Larger groups can also use the extra 5-person pop-up dome tent that’s provided (you’re welcome to bring your own camping gear too). You'll also have a 6-ft picnic table, outdoor fire pit, 2 Tentrr Adirondack chairs, and a heating source to keep you warm and toasty at night.
What you should bring:
-S'mores supplies & any food you'd like to eat
-A cooler to keep your grub from spoiling
-Bedding and pillows
-Lanterns and lighting
-Firewood for the campfire
-Water
Toilets: Every campsite is equipped with a camp toilet (we call it the Tentrr Loo). This is a simple wooden box with a toilet seat and a bucket inside. Line the bucket with a CleanWaste bag supplied at the camp (or another appropriate plastic bag) prior to use. Afterwards, simply tie the bag up and place it in a trash bag. We got this idea from bathrooms used on NASA spaceships, and we've used the Tentrr Loo countless times ourselves- don't worry!
Showers: Every Signature campsite comes with a Coleman Sun Shower. The sun shower has a reservoir that holds up to 5 gallons of water, potentially enough for multiple showers. It's constructed of heat-locking material that warms the water when it's left in the sun, even on cool days.
Other Things to Note:
Do plan on enjoying our place and treating it as your own.
Do ask about complimentary extras when booking.
Don't worry, it's going to be a great stay.
Interaction with Guests:
Upon check out, you should leave-no-trace of your stay and be sure your campsite is returned to its natural glory! While Tentrr does not charge a cleaning fee, we do expect campsites to be left how they were found. After you check out, take everything you brought in and be sure to leave your trash at the designated location on the property.
If a CampKeeper submits an incident report after your stay that details evidence of trash or damage to the campsite or the CampKeeper’s property, Tentrr reserves the right to charge a minimum cleaning fee of $50. Just make sure to follow the Camper Manual posted at your campsite and you'll be set!
Reservation Modifications/Cancellations: Please note the terms of the cancelation policy as they are outlined in your reservation confirmation on Airbnb. Your CampKeeper is unable to change or cancel your reservation on your behalf, and they are unable to waive any cancellation fees (if applicable). If you have any questions regarding your reservation, Tentrr Customer Support can be reached at (888) 798-9093 or at hello@tentrr.com.
- "This amazing area is perfect for camping it is away from everything and so peaceful! It was just what I was hoping for.The owners were available for any questions or concerns and a added surprise there were Goats! Will definitely stay again" - "A very nice place to stay. Had lots of privacy and made camping an easy and fun experience! Great for people who are new to it" - "We had to drive like a mile to the woods. The way was not paved or gravelled it was grass. We almost got stuck. After u get to the woods u have to walk about 3-4 football fields to the yurt through the woods which the walkway is covered in mud and water, due to the rain they had. I fell down in the mud and hurt my knee the first night and informed the owners of such. We left the next day and didn't finish our stay, they didn't return either of our calls, didn't offer a refund, nothing. Very disappointed! They did text the day we were suppose to leave thanking us for our stay, but didn't even ask if I was ok."

- "The address needs to be corrected online to 171 and get rid of that problem lockbox. We arranged the furniture to our liking. Should add a toaster and a coffee pot to the unit." - "House was big. They need a new coffee pot and there were no coffee cups. Also wish there was a toaster. Floors were not that clean, bedding and couches were damp."

We absolutely recommend having a vehicle for your stay, and in the winter a 4-wheel drive vehicle is highly recommended. The roads are often snowy and a tow truck can take a long time.
Do not have more than the recommended 4 guests without approval. Home is located on a one-way street and can only accommodate two cars max. In the winter months, this can be tricky with more than recommended guests and vehicles.

Summary:
Set in a private meadow surrounded by woods in the heart of 70 acres, you will have plenty of woods and fields to explore. You will find maple sap lines used to make maple syrup running to many trees in a lower portion of the property. Maple trees, nicknamed “sugar bushes” in the old days, are where this property and campsite derives its name.
There is a small pond for kids to fish and play and a stream at the very bottom of the property beneath the pine trees. Enjoy plenty of wildlife, crystal clear star-filled skies, and the most beautiful sunsets at your campsite. It is secluded, yet just minutes away from the beautiful, historic, and bustling town of Honesdale.
And, just a few minutes away are the famous Lake Wallenpaupack and the town of Hawley. Suggestions are endless should you wish to venture away from your camp!
