- "The bed sheets were not clean. Covered in both human and dog hair. Room was freezing. Looks to be an old converted shed sitting in a concrete pad. It was 5 degrees outside and we had a constant draft through the doors, windows, and cold air emitting straight from the floor. The home is old, which is no issue. There is a difference however between old and old/dirty/unkept. The floor was covered in dead bugs, spiderwebs, and dust. There was someone’s old food in n the mini fridge. Also, we are HUGE dog people and actually excited to see the pup that lives there. But he was a menace trying to get into the cottage and jumping on us. He got our nice shoes muddy on our way out. Sherie is nice, but that doesn’t make up for the lack of effort being put into the upkeep of the B&B. We slept in our clothes to stay both warm and off the sheets. Then got out of there as quickly as we could the following morning. Only nice thing about this place is it’s proximity to the Theatre. No photos, but I took a lot of videos. "

Paradise on the Cumberland River! Fish, Hike, Birdwatch, RELAX! 1,300 sq ft of awesome home perched above the trout filled Cumberland River. Watch the Otters, soring Eagles and listen to the owls, tree frogs and coyotes at night. We are about 5 miles down river from Burkesville and 38 miles downstream from Cumberland Lake. Twenty minutes from Sulphur Springs-Dale Hollow, forty minutes from Wolf Creek Dam and Hatchery Creek. The house is Victorian on the outside and cabin on the inside. The upstairs has a loft with a futon, upstairs bedroom has a queen bed and a pullout couch, shower and laundry. Downstairs Bedroom is a double bed, pullout couch and Full bath. The living room has a pullout couch and two oversized chairs surrounding the fireplace. My wife decorated this and I will tell you, you will love this place. There is a front porch with a swing, back deck has been replaced with a stunning concrete patio overlooking the river. There is also a small herb and vegetable garden to use.

Relax by the fire, pitch horseshoes or nap in the Hammock down by the river. Cards, cribbage, corn hole, crokinole and a dartboard if you like games. AC, Heat, Galley Kitchen, indoor fireplace, washer/dryer, sheets, pillows and towels. There is also wifi, Internet TV ROKU and plenty of DVD movies.

You can use the boat ramp that adjoins the property it is a community ramp that we maintain. You won't see the boat activity down here that you see in the first 15 miles down from Wolf Creek Dam, six boats a day is a lot. This a great base camp for large trout, striper and walleye. We love to fish and occasionally we keep one for the pan. The river is coming back from the construction project and the fishing is getting better and better.

We are pet lovers. If you want to bring your animals its ok with us. There is cat box in the upstairs bathroom closet. Food and water bowls inside and outside. Just bring food. If the dogs are going to be left behind and may ruin something please crate them.

There is no smoking or vaping in the house. If you need to smoke do it outside and please don't leave butts in the grass or fire pit. If you have questions call me.

There is a Horseshoe pit, a two- person hammock and a picnick table on the lower level of the back yard. The owner carved a large fish out of a broken tree on the lower level. Very relaxing atmosphere, but a family retreat or a group of fishermen/women would find this a perfect place. Although you are close to the river, it is too steep to fish from the property. However, the boat ramp is a very short drive from the house. The owners are very friendly and accommodating. This is a private home so if peace and quiet is what you're looking for, I would recommend this home. You are close to the town of Burkesville and just a short drive to SulfurCreek Resort with access to Dale Hollow."

The house is full of Antiques that each and every one tells a story of the area and has been meticulously selected to fit the theme of the home. The dining room table has a mural painted on the top of surrounding scenery. Rare Redwood master bed with accompanying black walnut furniture. All Windows provide 360 views of pastures, tobacco BARNS, pond, wooded areas. You can also watch the birds, deer and squirrels play out your window.
All the floors are original wood from the farm.
Also on main floor large kitchen breakfast nook and study. And the crown jewel of the main floor is the large country kitchen with a hand made oak center piece work station, cookware provided two sets of dishes to use in the dining room and breakfast area!

This quant little tiny house has all you will need to get away from home. One full size bed, two twins which are both in the same loft, and a murphy bed that is a queen. As you step outside here the sound of crickets , frogs ,all the night creatures God has provided for the music. Kids will love Sand, shells, and beach chairs for them to play in.

This tiny house is one complete room it has two queen beds, with one being in a hide a bed couch, coffee bar, TV VCR DVD player, hot and cold water through a dispenser Refrigerator an microwave. Outside you will find gas grills or fire pits to do your cooking or you can call SOKY and they will deliver from restaurants in town right to your door. The 2 red rockers on the front porch are a peaceful place to sit with a morning cup of coffee. If you’re lucky you might spot a bald eagle or hawk in one of the tall cedars lining the lane. The screened porch is a perfect spot to enjoy the symphony of night sounds, the bull frogs at a nearby pond, the crickets and the occasional hoot of an owl. The Carroll Cottage is named after my friends Gary and Karin Carroll. They

turned the Dickinson House into Main Street Bed and Breakfast in 2010.

Decorated with rustic dcor and early American furniture, you will sink into

comfort in the queen sized sleigh bed. The Carroll Cottage also has it's own

refrigerator and temperature control. The en suite bath features a claw-foot

tub in a spacious bathroom stocked with all of the amenities.

Completely renovated 100+ year old building. We brought back the 20' wide arch window that had been removed, added frenchdoors and a balcony to overlook the beautiful downtown Glasgow Square! A very unique and spacious property. Just walk out the door to food, shops and fun! Enjoy everything you need to spend a night or a few weeks. Make this your hub to tour south central Kentucky!
