We enjoyed using the kitchen and sitting on the back porch.We brought an additional air mattress to have extra sleeping space and that worked out well. The beds were comfortable and the neighborhood was quiet. We walked around town and my girls had fun at the little beach/playground at the end of the street. We were very close to Ocean City and only 22 min from Cape May. Not far away is a grocery store, Target, and strip mall with anything you might need. Lots of pubs and restaurants as well.The add said that towels were provided, but I'd recommend bringing your own. There were no washcloths and no towel bars to dry towels. We did laundry every day. Overall, it's a pleasant, well maintained property that is in a lovely community. But I would reach out immediately if you do not receive the check in information!! I arrived"

If you like history, you're in luck. Somers Point is the oldest settlement in Atlantic County dating back to 1693. Somers Mansion was built in 1725 which was converted into the Atlantic County Historical Society Museum and is the oldest intact building in Atlantic County.

Somers Point is known for its marinas, boating events and variety of amazing restaurants. The city celebrates the bay with numerous events throughout the year like Bayfest (which is awesome!), Somers Point Crabbing Tournament and countless Somers Point Live Beach Concert Series.

The house is conveniently located to EVERYTHING: Target and grocery stores are 3 mins away. The brewery as well as the bars and brunch places are walking distance. Cross the beautiful bridge and you will be in Ocean City in 8 minutes. Don't feel like going to the island? Somers Point Bay beach (with its outdoor concerts, playgrounds, and restaurants) is 5 minutes away. Our favorite Crabby Jack's is 5 minutes away. Have a drink on the bay while you watch the sunset and the boats dock.

Step into a fully renovated and truly turnkey rental cottage with your very own private cocktail pool, minutes from the beach. This house has two bedrooms. The master bedroom has a full sized bed and a TV. The second bedroom has a full sized bed, a twin bed, and an extra twin pull out mattress. There is another pull out mattress (total of 3 twin-sized mattresses) in that room than can be used as extra sleeping space in the living room. We also provide a portable pac n play for the little ones.

Enjoy the beautiful bathroom with its subway tiles and provided toiletries.

This house also has two separate living spaces, which our renters love. The adults can lounge and relax in the living room while the kids hang out in the family room, which has a full sized pull out couch and Smart TV, ready for your streaming needs. It also has a small dinette table and chairs for doing work or eating.

But what truly sets this property apart is the backyard, which features a 3.5 foot deep inground cocktail pool, an outdoor dining area, and a big couch for relaxing. The space around the pool is newly refinished. The enclosed outdoor shower is perfect for summer nights

OTHER THINGS TO NOTE:
AS A COURTESY, we provide linens, bath and pool towels. HOWEVER, we will ask for you to load the linens in the washer and the dishes in the dishwasher before you check out, to help make sure the cleaners have enough time to turn the house over and the next family can check in on time.

We also provide shower toiletries and basic paper products. Please keep in mind that this is not a requirement for your stay. You are responsible for purchasing your supplies if you run out.

The kitchen is fully stocked with dishes, utensils, and basic tools. There is a coffeemaker and a toaster, and there is an extra freezer in the laundry room for your needs. Please take home or throw out anything you bring in, the fridge and freezers should be empty upon check out.

We usually keep the pool open from mid-May to mid-September , however the use of the pool will always depend on the weather. Please keep this in mind when booking. The pool may be open but it may be too cold to use. It is not heated.

Please do not book this house if you plan to have a get together or a party (prom, graduation, bachelorette/bachelor party etc.). We understand that it is wonderful to celebrate by the beach but we have since stopped accepting these requests due to damage it causes to the property. THANK YOU FOR UNDERSTANDING AND BEING HONEST WHEN YOU TRY TO BOOK. Only the registered guests (5 MAXIMUM) are allowed to stay overnight.

Please note this is a residential neighborhood, we request guests to respect the neighbors and lower the noise by 10pm.

Our 558 square foot bungalow sits in a tranquil and safe neighborhood.

Somers Point has some excellent restaurants and bars, and we are located just 8 minutes from the Ocean City, NJ, bridge. The bungalow is just a few blocks away from the Pleasantville-Somers Point bike path, Somers Point Beach marina, and restaurants.

The space
The Bungalow by the Bay is cozy and perfect for small families to enjoy. Our yard area offers a table for dining, grilling, playing games, or just chilling under the string lights after a day of venturing around town or into OCNJ.

Our fire pit area is perfect for roasting marshmallows and hot dogs and for regaling your family with tales of the day's past adventures.

We’re not sugar coating things. We live in an older beach bungalow. There have been some upgrades, but not many. We are hoping to renovate to entirety in the future but for now, what you see is what you get. The only bells and whistles can be found in the hot tub area. But the house is a great spot where we have had lots of amazing memories. As another reviewer stated, we are close to neighbors and have a 6 foot fence, so we recommend bringing robes for the hot tub and shutting the curtains. We received our first negative review and want to let guests know that we can’t be down there after each check-in/out. Unless you tell us what’s up..we won’t know. ***Please refrain from booking if you don’t communicate until the review. We will help rectify anything we can!

We have cleaners come between guests if they’re not holding up their end, We need to know!

We CANNOT guarantee early check-in. If we have same day turnovers, we need to be able to have ample time to clean the house, linens, and hot tub. We can always try to accommodate IF there are no guests scheduled before your stay.

We provide sheets, towels, and pillows. However, I always suggest bringing your favorite pillow and (depending on the season) a slightly heavier blanket, as we only have a coverlet on the master bed.

I also always suggest bringing a robe for the hot tub. Especially on cooler nights.

Lastly, we DO NOT have a bathtub or microwave. We do have a little toaster, a gas stove, and a grill.

ROKU for the TV. Since it’s a summer rental, we do not have cable for sporting events or news channels.

Other things to note
Driveway: We have a shared stone driveway and in order to respect our neighbors to the right, please stick to our side as close as possible. If you have two cars, please do not use our neighbors driveway to get out. Please keep pets on a leash or in carrier until they are in the yard or house.

AC and Heating:
Both bedrooms have remotes for the AC/Heating. The living room is controlled by the wall control. If you’re used to central air comfort, you may want to reconsider.

Shower: Both top and bottom handles need to be pulled all the way out for the shower to turn on.

Hot Tub: Keep covered locked and at 98 when not in use. Key is by the back door light switch. There is a little remote for the fairy lights there too.

Lawn maintenance:
Our landscaping company comes Friday mornings between 8-11. (We currently have him coming every other Friday due to weeding/seeding). We do not live on the property so we CANNOT be there to water the lawn. If you need a lush patch of grass…we are not the place to stay.

Meter readings: meters are located on the left side of the house in the yard. Since they do not tell us when they are coming, we are unable to tell you ahead of time. If you feel uncomfortable at any time, please tell them you are a guest and to come back at a later time and then let us know so we can reschedule if needed.

Amenities:
We try to keep the house stocked with some extras such as shampoo, conditioner, body wash, hand soap, olive oil, salt/pepper, firewood, propane for grill, and doggy waste bags. Sometimes guests have same day check ins so it’s hard for us to get over to replenish the stash before the best arrival. If you could be so kind to let us know when things are running low we would be so grateful!

Since we do not live close to the bungalow, if there is anything that needs immediate attention, we will try to get out local help within 24 hours.

Suggestions on what to bring: Bag of ice, water bottles, heavier blanket, your favorite pillows, robes for the hot tub, phone chargers, wash cloths, tissues, and bicycles.

This charming home is located just a half block from Somers Point Beach and pier with it's picturesque views! Just one block from the Pleasentville-Somers point bike path. Just minutes away from Ocean Citys Boardwalk and beach, Longport and Atlantic City. Resteraunts, nightlife, fishing and marinas all within walking distance! This home is the perfect getaway!

Quiet neighborhood, minutes away from Ocean City Beaches. Plenty restaurants and bars in Town.

Public transportation by bus, taxi services, as well as Uber/Lyft are available.

Please remember that you're staying in a house, not a hotel. Please treat the space with respect. If any problems arise, we will do our best to take action ASAP, but there is no one living on site

Noise level:
We use smart home technology to improve your experience. NoiseAware is a smart home device that measures volume levels throughout the property, and allows us to respond to noise nuisances without disrupting your stay. NoiseAware is privacy compliant and is required on this property.

If more than the number of booked occupants are detected by neighbors or outside cameras, the stay will be immediately terminated and no refund will be issued. No cameras inside.
• No smoking inside the house -$250 fine if detected.

• No more than the number of guests booked ON PREMISE at any time: $200 fine per person detected

• We are not accepting reservations from local residents at this time, we reserve the right to immediately cancel any reservations from local resident

• Please remove shoes

• Quiet hours from 10pm to 8am (50 decibels).

• Primary renter must have valid govt ID, phone number and address on file.

• If there is anyone 21 years or younger in group, the primary renter must be 25+ years old or older.

• We are not responsible for the loss of personal belongings or valuables during your stay. We cannot be responsible for any items left behind. There will be a minimum $100 handling fee for returning requested items to you. Shipping and packaging will be charged at cost. Items will be kept for 5-days. After which time they will be donated at management discretion.

• Unfortunately, we do not allow late checkout to respect our cleaner's schedules. A fine of 50% of the upcoming night's stay will be imposed for a late checkout between 30 minutes and 2 hours past checkout time. Any checkout beyond 2 hours late will be charged at 2x the upcoming night's stay.

• Kids of all ages are welcomed, but we do not supply any infant/toddler/child furniture. You will need to supply your own and please be responsible of all underage children.

It is small but for a group of 2 to 4 people it provides a good place to use as home base when visiting the Jersey shore."
