Flamborough is our new favourite place!! North and South Landing are within a miles walk, the water at both crystal clear and is simply stunning. We visited Bempton Cliffs and yes we found and photographed the chuffin puffins 😊😊 Well stocked Co op was a welcome find... eventually...and it is only 3 minutes away...in the right direction (we have minimal in built sat navs) 😅 Would definitely stay again without a shadow of doubt it has been the most welcome break from our norm. The only moment we had was when we thought that the table mats were some sort of wooden puzzle, luckily one of us has a brain!! Beautiful garden can't say anything else, well established with colour galore and a friendly pesky sparrow whom we came to love. Yes stairs are steep...as stated, they are unique and part of the character. It is an upside-down, semi-detached holiday cottage with the living room and kitchen being on the first floor to take advantage of the fantastic views of the countryside.
Chalk Cottage was built in 2006 by local builders on the site of the former Croft Farm. Chalk reclaimed from the demolished farm buildings was carefully preserved and used in the construction of the cottage and other properties on the development.
The cottage has been a holiday cottage, with it’s present owners since that time, consistently achieving four star status from Visit England assessors on their annual inspections. Our housekeeper lives locally and takes great pride in ensuring the cottage is maintained to a high standard. To enable change rounds to be of the highest standard new guests will not be able to access the property until 3 p.m on the day of arrival.
The cottage consists of 3 ground floor bedrooms, having two double beds and one single so any combination of beds can be used but we can only accommodate a maximum of five people. A white modern tiled bathroom which has a convenient quality shower and bath. Four people can be comfortably accommodated.

Down from the lighthouse, guests can visit the sheltered coves where seals are often spotted. Each apartment is named after a famous train, Sir Nigel Gresley takes its name for record breaking locomotive currently residing in the York railway museum. Located on the second floor, giving you views over the village centre, ideal for watching the world go by. You have an open plan living room with a kitchen and dining area, with characterful exposed walls and beautiful furnishings. The kitchen is well equipped, the dining area is the perfect size for two, yet there are comfortable sofas where up to four guests can all sit together. - "Lovely home, very clean and in a great location. We had a really nice week. Tracey, the owner is really lovely too. We had a couple of instances with the neighbours, one regarding a blow up mattress they wrongly assumed meant we were over occupancy but this was quickly sorted with Travey and one in relation to the shared driveway but once they realised we were renting the property they did apologise. It didn't damper the break too much and we did have an enjoyable week overall."
